Reviews of Home Instead Senior Care
Susan Davis
What a Fantastic place to work. I have worked with Home Instead for over two years and have had the pleasure of working with phenomenal professionals that take wonderful care of our elderly community. Home Instead would be my first choice for my family members in need of exceptional care.

I am proud to say I have worked for Home Instead as a caregiver and now I am assigned as our HR and Training manager. This company always feels like family no matter what job you preform. Home Instead cares for others the way they would want their families cared for.

Home instead is a wonderful company with the most helpful staff! Friendly and loving caregivers who treat your loved ones as family! Definitely number one in Cheyenne 👍 …

There aren't enough good words to describe this company! They really go above and beyond the call of duty for everyone they serve. If you want someone to treat you like family, this is the company for you!

Home Instead has been a lifesaver for me in keeping my father safe. The women caregivers are by nature more nurturing than the men for the most part. The small things the caregivers help with really make a difference in his life, as well as peace of mind for me. It's costly, but I understand you have insurance and bonding issues to cover as well, and he's worth it.

Home instead transportation that has been helping our mom has been wonderful. She is caring and kind and mom loves her. We feel better knowing when we cannot be there that she has someone she can trust. Thank you!

For those of us who ascribe to the senior independence school of thought, Home Instead is a godsend. Independence for senior adults is often taken for granted when the senior adult lives close to family; but for those of us who do not enjoy that luxury, it does become problematic at times. I was extremely impressed with your services, your staff personnel...really, every aspect of your services. One area I think that may be not only problematic for seniors released from a hospital stay and sent home with a "shopping cart" full of drugs for pain, but dangerous. I usually pride myself when it comes to "due diligence" for nearly every aspect of my health, but I fell short this time...and as it turns out, it was all due to a computer glitch at the hospital. I came home with Percoset, Tramadol, Flexeril and Flomax. I stuck with Percoset for pain relief for the first week because it does not have the marked drowsiness experienced with the others. I was abl e to onl y use one tablet three times a day at first and then just once a day and continued to see progress on my recovery every day. This was a 65 tab prescription and rather than request a refill of that amount, I opted to utilize the tramadol & flexeril. It was a huge mistake. On the second and third days of using them I experienced nearly all of the symptoms listed after I finally realized I needed to check the computer. I was dismayed and astonished to learn that seniors my age should not take flexeril. I stopped all drugs, except for ibuprofen (which was allowed 30 days out from procedure) and am now feeling much better. I do remember that prior to my procedure, the doctor had experienced a problem with getting the correct information in the computer and the nurse said for him to input his order and ignore anything that was displayed. What was displayed was all of the choices for pain meds that I came home with...not certain if that was supposed to happen or not. I don' t know how common an occurrence this is for others, but perhaps seniors who live alone should be vetted a little more extensively about their after care plans. I chose to stay with a close friend, who agreed to bring me home, because I was feeling really well and experiencing minimal pain. I was not ready for the prescribed meds to knock back my recovery so hard and so quickly. I guess what I'm suggesting is that seniors should be advised to carefully examine their prescribed medications and then proceed with caution. Most of us tend to accept what our doctors and their nursing staff advise without vocalizing any concerns. In my case, the doctor's nurse had checked in with me about a week from the surgery and I was well on the way to recovery. It honestly never occurred to me that the switch in meds would have such a dramatically negative effect. This is one of the reasons I believe HI is a very valuable service and would highly recommend it to anyone in my category. I loved that you and your staff were so responsive and care providers were all very professional and caring as well. I don't believe I could've had a more beneficial experience.
