Not an emergency, I got an appointment in a week. On arrival, I waited less than 5 minutes. Intake with Amy was thorough, professional and friendly. Xays were done on the spot. Ten minutes later pictures had been reviewed by doctors and treatment options were presented to me in detail. Arthritis, knee injury (direct impact, knocked down by a 60 lb dog running fast straight at me, playing). I chose a cortisone shot, which was administered painlessly by Seth. He advised me to expect relief in a few days, but tonight the difference in stiffness and pain is remarkable. Seth also recommended exercises that would strengthen the supporting musculature around the knee, and said water aerobics is ideal. I left feeling very appreciative of and impressed by the care of this team and the efficiency of the office. That has remained constant for the past 15 years that I have been a patient here. Easy to get there, ample free parking, fun shopping in the area (Trader Joe's!). Highly recommend.

Pretty mixed experience here for an appointment to have a hand injury looked at. Like most other lower reviews, most of the staff was not very friendly. I did have a pleasant interaction with the checkout process, and the PA Seth Bourn was good. Did end up waiting about 40 mins past my appointment time to see him however.

I have had two surgeries. One knee with Dr. Kaplan and one wrist with Dr. Freznen. Both Doctors are very smart, kind and caring. They listen. They know their stuff and want you to be well. I highly recommend them both. I agree with another reviewer that there is a NP working there who has trouble with boundaries and remaining focused. She shares way too much in conversation and always seems distracted. I will be giving this feedback to them on my next visit. Unlike others, I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.

I had ankle surgery in October 2015, Dr. Kaplan was amazing. I really had no pain because of the great job he did. I highly recommend this place. The only negative, and they may have fixed this, is the phone system was not the best but I honestly haven't called in so it may not be an issue. From a care perspective, they were all very kind, patient and friendly.

The docs are wonderful; UVMMC policies, however, HORRIBLE. The fact that I cannot correspond with my doc about results at an email of my choice AND at my request due to "privacy concerns" is BOGUS. I am not available to the phone due to my work and I feel that UVMMC should review this policy... I am, as a patient, happy to sign a waiver to allow communication via this method. I also wish it could be done at an email of my choosing rather than having the login in to some SEPARATE email system (theirs). This policy is unnecessarily restrictive, in my opinion. I don't need privacy to discuss an MRI on my knee.

Wonderful doctors and staff. Nicest group imaginable, and got be back on my feet after a serious injury months earlier than originally expected. So glad to have chosen them for my surgery.

Wonderful Doctors, NPs, and staff. I never have to wait to get in and have gotten excellent support (and surgery) for a number of orthopedic issues. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
