Passionate and committed to your goals. I tried three dermatologists before her (none of which had any experience with black skincare or haircare). During that time, I was consistently disregarded, misdiagnosed, and mistreated. The previous dermatologist told me that my only option was birth control. I expressed that I wasn’t comfortable (past medical complications in my youth due to birth control). Before going to Dr. Mary Lupo I read reviews and noticed that although the majority of her reviews were five stars very few actually mentioned her ability to treat acne and none mentioned how great she is at treating African American skin and hyperpigmentation in AA skin. Within two visits to Dr. Lupo we had my regimen down and skin in control. My first visit the office was extremely packed and I admit I had a wait but my next few visits I was in the back even before my scheduled appointment. She is very thorough and so pleasant and so is the rest of her staff. I hope that this review helps someone with acne that is considering a visit to visit the renowned Mary Lupo but believe they maybe shouldn't because her reviews don't focus on acne. Or someone with hyperpigmentation and AA skin make the decision to go to Dr. Lupo.

Dr. Lupo makes bad things go away and good things come back! I originally went to her because I was losing hair. After the attempts with my GP and no resolution and another attempt with a different derm. I was told its hereditary .. I then found Dr Lupo - she ran a panel and prescribed me a vitamin and voila!! I have hair! Adult onset of acne- no problem.. Dr Lupo saved my complexion! Emergency visit for red bumps all over! I was told to come right in she took me in emergency Wrinkles- bah what wrinkles! Dr Lupo and her magic wand took care of it all She is an amazingly professional and talented Doctor. Her practice is professional and her staff is kind. I have had to wait for a little bit a few times. However I know that is because she is honoring her commitment to excellence. I went to Dr. Lupo for Botox and fillers. I had had a severe acne breakout that would not go away. Instead of doing the filler, she treated the acne first. It was hormonal acne that would not go away. The treatment she prescribed nearly eliminated the problem in a few days! I cannot recommend Dr. Lupo enough. I am someone who grew up thinking aging gracefully just happened but once I turned 30 it became very clear that it’s not quite that simple. After my friend had some work done that looked AMAZING and so darn natural I called Dr. Lupo for an appointment right away. I was concerned about lines in my forehead and she recommended that I get Jeuveau in between my eyebrows and for my crows feet because me unconsciously lifting my eyebrows all the time is what is creating that line. Y’all. When I tell you that these results have exceeded my expectations it is an understatement. My biggest concern was LOOKING like I had work done and that is so far from the case. Everyone has been complimenting my eyes again, saying I look like I just got back from vacation and I just feel all around gorgeous. As someone who has never thought about Botox as an option, since visiting Dr. Lupo and getting Jeuveau I am converted for life. I look and feel amazing while still having complete control of my face. The service, which is the brand Fraxel, isn't the least expensive in the city, but when done correctly by a professional like Dr. Lupo, the money is well spent. For me, I had issues with age spots and melasma, which were significantly diminished in one treatment--as well as fine lines around my eyes. My face looked young and bouncy and bright. I am a 31 year old mother of 4! Needless to say I know I look worn out! I know girls my age that have started getting Botox and fillers but I was always to afraid to try or scared to look “overdone”. I heard Dr Lupo was the best in the business because she will never make you look superficial and she is the doctor that trains upcoming Derms. I started off with Botox and loved the results! As a dermatologist myself, I thought long and hard about when to start getting hyaluronic acid filler. Although I had been injecting neurotoxin into my face for years (a skill taught to me by Dr. Lupo during my residency), I knew that I needed someone else to inject the filler. Like many other dermatologists, I turned to the master... Dr. Lupo. Dr. Lupo isn't just an amazing dermatologist; she's an artist! There's a reason that she has trained the rest of us in cosmetic dermatology; she has an eye like no other and her skill is unparalleled. She will do exactly what you need to look better, but she will never make you look overdone. I initially thought that I may need some filler around the tear trough area. Dr. Lupo immediately saw that I needed some volume around the upper outer cheeks, which ended up making my outer tear trough and nasolabial fold wrinkles disappear! She also added some filler around the upper outer portion of my brow bone, which resulted in a nonsurgical brow lift. I was amazed! If you're considering surgical correction of a droopy brow or lax skin, please see Dr. Lupo first. You'll be so happy that you did! Her technique is painless. She injected a few other areas in addition to those mentioned above, but I experienced absolutely no bruising or swelling. The injection sites were invisible. I was able to go out to dinner that night wearing no make-up. Be prepared for a lot of compliments after seeing Dr. Lupo. Although no one would guess that it's the filler, people will start complimenting your skin or how "well-rested" you look. A little known benefit to filler is that the skin looks more vibrant and luminous. I definitely experienced this after seeing Dr. Lupo. If you're considering a visit with Dr. Lupo, don't hesitate! Give her free reign to use her artist's eye (with her expert techniques and equally important sense of discretion). You won't be disappointed!

I am a young female dermatologist who trusts her face only to Dr. Lupo. She is a first and foremost a physician who understands skincare and aesthetic dermatology at a scientific level. She takes the time to evaluate skin types and conditions to help patients determine their best personalized skincare plan. It is true that any smart dermatologist can learn every fact in a book. However, Dr. Lupo is an artist. She understands artistic proportions and how to help every person achieve their ultimate beauty by using a combination of fillers, neuromodulator (aka "Botox"), resurfacing, and skincare. She is straightforward and does not sugarcoat what needs to be done to reach this goal and enhance the best features. Her honesty is refreshing. My own consult was no different than those she gives her patients. She takes detailed photographs from every angle. She will go over the photographs with you, before and after, to determine a plan and go over results. A lot of people forget their starting point, so her photographs really illustrate how much you improve over time. This is one of the many qualities that sets Dr. Lupo apart from other dermatologists. Dr. Lupo injected me with filler to balance my face. I was somewhat focused on my nasolabial folds (mouth parentheses lines) and flat face, but she helped me realize that it was actually the loss of volume on the outside cheeks that made things look flat. She injected me so gently that I didn't even feel any pain - I did not receive any numbing cream, though all of her patients get cream. I assure you that I didn't even feel anything, no numbing required. Her hands are so gentle and confident. After I saw the results in the mirror and in my photographs, I was ecstatic. What she was able to achieve was incredible - my lines were gone, and my face was a more oval, full shape. My eyes appeared larger! The compliments rolled in. Overall I looked and felt incredible. Beauty is a journey you and Dr. Lupo will take together. Remember, every dermatologist has the same box of paints, brushes, and canvases. However, there are only few true artists out there, and Dr. Mary Lupo is one of the best.

Very professional office staff , Dr Souyoul is amazing , very caring , attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I went to Dr Souyoul looking for a change in my skincare regimen. She was very helpful in choosing the right products and treatments for me,to help with the melasma and overall improvement of overall skin texture. I cannot say enough about the silk peels and the clear and brilliant laser that was recommended by Dr Souyoul and performed by their esthetician Kristi, who is also amazing . One final note Dr Souyoul is outstanding with Botox. Her injection technique and placement of the product to get optimal results, will not go anywhere else .

I have seen a few dermatologists over the past couple of years and Dr. Lupo is certainly the one I will continue to see in the future. I have always had disproportional lips, especially when I smile, my upper lip would "roll in" and disappear giving me a very gummy look. I have used various lip plumping products in the past, none of which seemed to help. I have also considered getting fillers, however, I was always afraid of the "duck lips". After some extensive research, I decided to seek help from Dr. Lupo since she is a well known dermatologist in New Orleans. During my consult with Dr. Lupo, she addressed my concerned and took photos of me from multiple angles in order to study my facial structures and developed a treatment plan with me. After Dr. Lupo injected me with filler, I could see an immediate improvement with my upper lip and my lips looked very rejuvenated and glossy! During my follow up visit, Dr. Lupo took more photos of me and showed me the before and after. I am extremely happy with the result, of course, there is no sign of the "duck lips"!

I have been meaning to write a review for Dr. Souyoul for months. I am 33, have had acne since I was 15, have seen every dermatologist in the city, and have tried every treatment prescribed to me, with the exception of Accutane. I have been frustrated with my skin for years and frustrated with the dermatologists that I have seen who have suggested solutions that have not worked in the short term or long term. I saw Sky after a horrible breakout and she prescribed a short term fix for the existing breakout, and also put me on a skin care regimen to sustain the positive results long term.
