Battle Bunch

This was my first experience with Pinnacle Dermatology and I was able to book independently and find an appointment quickly. The process of online registration was simple and straightforward. Then, getting to their Belle Meade office, the information was ported in and a quick health assessment was filled out. The office was fairly easy to find and is clean, comfortable and spacious; the check in staff knowledge and efficient. I met w a NP who reviewed my case and symptoms and examined me and suggested a course of therapy. An additional treatment was recommended that I hope will enhance my therapy in the long run. The initial treatment was administered by a well trained medical assistant and she explained everything she was doing and made me as comfortable as possible. I had a great experience and I'll look forward to returning in about 6 weeks!

Everything was easy, on time, and I felt well care for. From the patient and kind woman who checked me in to the wonderful woman who took me to my room, everyone treated me with care. And Virginia Bradshaw was tremendous. She listened well, she froze off several spots and was careful and gentle, and she gave great advice. The whole experience was excellent.

Dr Mathew’s was professional and made me feel very comfortable for my skin check. She also helped me with my concerns for a couple other things. Dr. Day’s bedside manner is outstanding. Very friendly and made sure to add extra lidocaine when I was still feeling him removing a basal cell carcinoma. The nurse was not quite as nice. She didn’t smile at all and I was incredibly nervous and didn’t use enough lidocaine. I think I would have liked to be a little more informed about the autoimmune disorder he diagnosed me with. He just just gave me a post it note with the name of it. I would have appreciated an explanation of what the illness entails. The visit felt very rushed. Edit to add: the illness is turning out to be much more difficult to treat, but he’s hanging in there with me and trying to figure out which med works with the least amount of side effects and is still as friendly months later! But still, a very friendly doc and office staff were professional as well.

I go to Pinnacle Dermatology in Bellmead for botox and filler by Debb. She is SO knowledgeable about what she does. She has done this for many years. I trust that she knows what she is doing. I come out looking FANTASTIC and 10 years younger each time. The great thing is she’s not afraid to tell you no. Lol Sometimes we want something in a particular area where the risk could mean more harm than good. She will tell you. It is so important to find someone who knows how to do Botox and filler correctly. She does. She is honest and is GOOD at what she does I appreciate her knowledge, safety, and skill. Saw the NP Kate for skin check recently and also had some botox done in a separate visit. She was very nice, not rushed and had some good ideas, also was conservative. She did my initial botox and then did a follow up with me for a "touch up" 2+ weeks later- which was appreciated and a nice service to offer. (My last botox nurse charged me for a touch up if the work was not exactly right) Yes- they were more expensive then an independent botox person but it was a much better result and service- well worth it, since this is all about the aesthetic. I recommend Pinnacle. Update- 6 mos. Later, easy to get in, second skin assessment and Botox, efficient and so nice, no wait today

This place is awesome!! I never go to any doctor for anything, but I had some spots on my skin under my neck that my daughter and my wife were concerned about. From the first phone call, answering insurance questions, getting me an appointment, and finally being seen, they were perfect. Virginia Bradshaw NP, MSN knew exactly what the spots were, hit them with nitrogen, prescribed me a topical medicine and set my follow up. She was so warm and professional. She took time to answer all my questions. I’ll be going back and recommending them for sure.

I think they could’ve looked more into my swelling as I left kinda confused. I’ve already used many creams just to drive an hour for more cream. The lady who checked me in kinda made me feel like an outsider as she strictly told me where to sign etc on the paperwork but then seem to be arrogant when I brought it back to her as she told me I missed places that she DID NOT circle nor dot! Then proceeded to be loud for the would you hear that Tricare would only allow me 3 visits. Honestly, that no one needed to know about and this is my first visit. Let me get through my first visit first…….but the checkout lady was the sweetest. She was nice when I first time called till all the way to my visit. The doctor I still think she could’ve been more thorough and helpful. I’m still feeling the same as I did before. I do believe she needed to hear me tell my my story problems to her instead of relying on a nurse that came in before her to only get bits and pieces of then tell me she knew most of my story. I’m still swollen. My leg still is uncomfortable. I’m praying the cream works! I did want to recognize again the checkout receptionist as we were leaving. - she’s been super nice to me since the first time I called up there. Thank you❤️

I did have a good experience as far as the service provided went. However I was very upset with the nurse Virginia, she came in after a 20 minute wait in the room, without a mask on claiming she was having a hot flash and couldn't breath. As a big mask advocate it's infuriating that someone in the medical field would do this..why not take an extreme second outside the door to catch your breath. But even more than this, she came into the room each time without knocking first. Even the young girls that were coming into the room to help with my treatments knew to knock, it's basic manners.

He was very professional, reassuring, and addressed our concerns and gave us a clear cut plan of action. He was great and represented this practice really well. What motivated me to revise my review is the simple fact that the office manager, Brandi Orr, made a point to speak with my partner face to face about the fiasco yesterday when she came in to the office today. She obviously read my review and made a point to do what she could to make it right for us, and for that I am highly appreciative of her effort and it speaks volumes to Brandi's character. When most places would either write us off as difficult customers or ignore us completely, Brandi and Pinnacle took the harder path and made it right. Thanks Brandi!! ________________________________________________________________________ The front office staff seems to lack any sense of urgency and are difficult to work with. My partner scheduled an appointment with Dr. Shah a week ago for today at 11:50am; upon arriving early as requested, she waited in line to speak with the receptionist and when she was able to speak with her, she was told that all of the doctors are on lunch and claimed that no one notified her that my partner was there despite her calling in when she got there. I have a hard time understanding why they would schedule an 11:50am appointment if everyone takes lunch at noon? She was then offered a second appointment for today at 2:40pm. Upon arriving early (again), she was told that there in fact was NOT a slot available and that the earliest she could see Dr. Shah was another week from now, and we simply cannot wait. That's two visits to the same office in the same day, with 2 serious scheduling mistakes. It's difficult to review a healthcare office when you don't even get the opportunity to talk to a healthcare professional, but I can confidently say that there is a significant issue with the scheduling process. Extremely frustrated with such a highly reviewed practice. Dr. Shah sounds great, but we would have loved to have gotten a chance to speak with her.

Was referred to Pinnacle Dermatology for removal of potential skin cancer. Not sure I was referred to the right place when I walked in and noticed a number of adverts for botox and all kinds of derma-peel youth-enhancing treatments. However the staff were all very efficient and friendly, and my time in the reception waiting room was barely over 5 minutes, unusual in a doctor's office these days. My name was called and Jackie, the friendly and professional nurse, met me at the door, led me to the examination room, asked a couple of pertinent questions and Dr Wayne Day appeared. He checked over all my lumps and bumps which gave me confidence, as I am at an age when skin starts to change and problems appear. He congratulated my PA in proactively noticing pre-cancerous cells, gave instructions to Jackie to freeze burn them off and threw in a couple of my leg warts for good measure. All done in less than 5 minutes. I wish all visits to a doctor's office could be so painless, efficient and time-saving. I highly recommend this practice, their staff and their professional care.

However, for Pinnacle I had to complete this horrendous health questionnaire that had much more information than any one actually involved in the dermatology practice would ever use. Some of the forms simply made no sense at all. Pinnacle needs lock whoever it was who actually developed the form in a padded cell and have them complete it.
