After going years without visiting a dentist, life intervened and forced an emergency visit. There was no criticism on my lack of dental health, which relieved me. The tech and dentist were super friendly and talkative, putting me immediately at ease. They were very thorough on explaining the procedure and how to take care post-procedure. Everything went smoothly, and I was out within an hour of arriving. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I will definitely be a regular now. Thank you, Dr. Maniwang and the entire staff, for everything!

I love that Dr. Maniwang is always so efficient. Her expertise and caring demeanor makes me comfortable in knowing my dental needs are a priority. Donna, is a wonderful hygienist. She is thorough and very knowledgeable in her profession. I love them both!

I truly like going to this practice. I see Dr. Maniwang and she is very nice. Also, Dr. Maniwang is highly skilled. I also like the dental Hygienists, I have had my teeth cleaned by two different Hygienists. My experience,. was great.! I have not felt comfortable with a Hygienist in many years. The office staff, and all the other team members of Konikoff team were excellent and very friendly.

My son woke up last week with a swollen cheek and pain in his tooth. I was able to get an appointment super fast. It was determined his tooth was infected and needed to come out. The staff was so patient and caring with both my son and his worried Mom. They did everything to make him comfortable and talked him through every step. I can't thank Brooke and Dr. Maniwang enough for your compassion and empathy.

Very nice dentist office. Very friendly staff. You do have to book really far in advance though so be aware. It can be hard to get at appointment if it isn't a few months out. I would go ahead and just pick a date for your next general cleaning while you are there.

I have been going Konikoff for years and never had real issue before. I have always had same insurance and it has never change. Here recently the billing department, was giving me such hard time from a girl name Sara. I have trying get them rerun it not twice but 4 times and they have refuse. It is to the point, I had switch to different Konikoff office and explained to them on what going on. They even tried to get them rerun insurance and they still didn’t do. On December 16th, I called trying to get some type resolution and try once again get them rerun insurance. On the receiving end, I got a lot attitude from a name Elizabeth. I was not giving it to her. This situation is very frustrating and I’m not for sure on why it such issue just run insurance. I’m to the point I’m about file formal complaint to Board of Dentistry and BBB. As for Dental hygienist, dentist, receptionist at General Booth - you are guys are awesome, it just sucks that poor quality people that work with you.

I was super happy with this office and the staff! I appreciate you all getting me in so quickly and the positive attitude everyone had. Dr. Maclin was so comforting and kind. She made me feel heard and not rushed, or as if I was an inconvenience, as I have felt at with some dentists in the past. Sometimes healthcare staff can get too caught up in the routine and become robotic with care, not looking at patients as individuals. Dr. Maclin made me feel like she was a brand new but knowledgeable dentist excited to have a patient and tackle the care. It is appreciated more than you know. Thank you

I would give this practice more stars but my experience with staff pay clerk/ scheduler changed that. After being promised, I would receive overall treatment plan the day of appt 11/29 and told it would be emaiiled that is yet to be seen even after calling twice to remind her. Dr. Richards and my hygienist was more than great but the pay clerk/scheduler is in question.

Overall the care is good and the staff are friendly/helpful. The wait time past appointments sometimes can be long based on how they book and service patients so just be mindful when planning your day.

I've been a patient since 2007 and have always felt welcomed like family and treated like royalty here! After my very first visit for a cleaning with Kelly, I had some questions about my gums and she called me back on her break to spend 15 minutes answering questions and didn't let me go until she knew I had all my concerns addressed. That made such a huge impression on me that I still drive 20 minutes out of way to come here. On countless other occasions, the staff have gone above and beyond to help me with various medical or billing questions/concerns. They are phenomenal with their service and very friendly and caring! This practice is THE BEST! Dr. Mojares, her team, and Marianne in the Lab are truly impressive! They stand behind their work and go above and beyond to ensure patients/customers are happy. My mom had a very complicated treatment and they have been superb! I most highly recommend! I give them 10 stars out of 5!

I, ashamedly, have been afraid of the dentist since childhood. I had a VERY traumatic experience with a Dentist that DID NOT care. I was also called the "N" word by the Dentist, but the traumatic part was the drilling and the pain that he didnt care about. It has caused some daily trauma as well. I had a WC issue that forced me to see the dentist. And I type this with tears in my eyes. I have never had a more pleasant experience with a dentist IN MY LIFETIME!!! Dr. Maclin and her nurse "Nellie" I would like to call her my angel, ARE THE BEST!! Dr. Maclin is DEFINITELY a Mother. Her bedside manner is exceptional!!! THE BEST of the best. When she had to drill, I am not sure if she saw my tears, but she recognized that I had experienced trauma. And in a sweet soft voice, she said to me, "You're going to be ok. You will get through this." She gave me a few seconds to collect myself and she began the work again and I could bear it. THEN!!!! THAT SWEET SWEET NURSE Nellie began to SING!!! Not only does she have the most beautiful and anointed voice, but she sang like an angel. I wish I could make this up, but this is all true. For a moment, I thought I had drifted off into heavenly peacefully!! LOL!! She sang one of my favorite hymns that just placed such a calm in the atmosphere. She is an atmosphere changer. I think if you have a crying baby, she could get that baby to sleep. Needless to say, I am making plans to have my BIG work done by Dr. Maclin and her staff. I KNOW she will take care of me and I appreciate that. I suggest that you make your appointment and dont delay any longer, with Dr. Maclin. And when you do, you will SEE and Experience what I have shared here. Even the front desk staff were gracious. They are also friendly and explain very well. I was going to cancel my appointment because of fear, and the person who answered the phone to reschedule my appointment was calm and explained the process to me like she knew me as a friend. I am VERY big on customer service, as its my career choice. I give what I would like to receive. She gave to me what I give, and I appreciate that. I appreciate Konikoff!! MAKE THE APPOINTMENT!!!! <3 :)

UPDATE: I needed to get into the dentist office due to severe pain in my tooth. Dr. Mojares was able to work me in and quickly decided that I needed a root canal. She referred me to Endodontics and I was able to make an appointment and get the root canal taken care of the same day. I am really impressed with Dr. Mojares. I can definitely recommend Dr. Mojares and Dr. Richards! I've been to many Konikoff locations and the General Booth office is my favorite by far. The staff are nice, caring, and thoughtful. Dr. Richards is amazing and makes you feel comfortable with your procedures.

I have been going to Konikoff Dental off General Booth Blvd for over 10 years and have never been disappointed with their service! I had the greatest hygienist, Kelly who really cares about her patients. Kelly is very thorough in her work and took her time to ensure I had a set of clean and white teeth to show off! Kelly even stayed late when everyone else in the office was leaving for the day to make sure everything was done correctly and I was comfortable with my cleaning. If you are looking for a professional and friendly dental office, look no further!

Probably my best experience at the dentist in general. We just moved to the area and we saw they had great reviews. I love that I was able to make an appointment and fill out all of my paperwork online. And they actually read it! I love that because it saves time. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I love that they work efficiently and I did not feel rushed. The receptionist and check out ladies were kind. Brooke, the hygienist, was friendly and did a thorough cleaning without hurting my gums. The periodontist and doctor were also nice and trustworthy. They examined my teeth without trying to up-sell me unnecessary treatment or procedures. Another person named Brooke did my xrays and prepped me for the doctors. She was personable and friendly. I can tell they care about their patients well being and safety. The way the handle Covid makes you feel safe. Overall, I’d recommend this place to everyone.

Geri (I hope that is spelled right) was very calming, informative, honest, and professional at all times. The Dr. was swift but not rushing, kind but not fake, and made me feel like her and the staff were truly concerned with me and my oral health. After my visit there was a treatment plan that needed to be quoted and the lady informed me it may take a bit but she would email it to me. She did so the same day in a very timely manner, I had questions so I called back and spoke with Misty, she had my questions answered promptly and my concerns eased about the level of treatment needed. I love this office so much! Whether it’s for a cleaning, cavities, or even help with my toddler’s teeth issues. The staff has always been so incredible and helpful. Donna, Cher, and Karen are the nicest hygienists! It’s hard to like someone poking at your teeth, but I did! And I especially appreciate Sarah, the lady who runs the appointments. With a two year old and a deployed husband, it’s so tough to find appointment times I can keep. I had to reschedule my appointments so many times and she always made sure I was able to get in the schedule. She even made sure my cleanings and my fills were on the same day so I only had to pay a babysitter once! Dr. Richardson did all of my fillings, and I’m grateful that they made it as painless and easy as possible. I can not recommend this place enough!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!!! Great environment where all staff treat you like FAMILY. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Maclin and her team! I was suffering an infection from a broken tooth and had to get an emergency root canal. I was able to go in on a Saturday and Dr. Maclin took the time to do a thorough job on getting any infection out and prepping me for my crown. Dr. Maclin and her team stayed almost an hour past closing time to make sure my procedure was completed with great care. I had waited a bit longer than I should have to get my tooth fixed and caused a subcutaneous infection to grow a bit over the next several days. Dr. Maclin put me on the right antibiotic and took the time to FaceTime me on 3 separate occasions (I was unable to drive and could not afford a ride to get into the office) to check my progress and help in any and every way she could. If you are looking for a fantastic dentist that actually cares about you individually and goes above and beyond please go to this office and if you can get Dr. Maclin you are guaranteed to be in the best hands through your procedures. Thank you Dr. Maclin for everything!

If you hate getting stabbed in the gums during a cleaning or any routine maintenance, go here. I've never once left an appointment with sore gums. In fact, I pretty much feel like I could bite through anything, my teeth feel so good. They're also super considerate and so nice, it's a very welcoming practice.

We have always had excellent service at every visit. Everyone is so kind, caring and polite from check in to check out. They take time to make you feel comfortable and never rushed. For example.. I have a young child that needed to have a baby tooth extracted. She was not very cooperative with the idea of the needle for numbing. They tried to gently and calmly talk with her to get her to calm down and cooperate. They never got frustrated or agitated with her. This went on for over 30 minutes. At that time when we knew we were not going to make any progress with the situation, they automatically told her that they decided to do it another day a different way with no needles at all. I give them all an A+++++ Update.... Visit number 2 to get tooth extracted was just as awesome! This time they used nitrous... She was still really nervous but Regina the hygienist and the Dr was great with her! Talked with her to help keep her calm and kept all of the " scary " looking stuff out of sight for her. Again I give you guys an A+++++

Just left the Konikoff office. The treatment was great. The atmosphere was great. I was greeted very respectfully. My Dental Hygienist, Brook, explained all the procedures as she went through the process and was very gentle. It was a very pleasant experience. I’m in the process of getting dentures by Dr. Richards with the help of Uiqua her assistant who both have gone to great lengths to ensure my comfort and precision of my denture they both are true experts at their craft. The only downside to my visit was a issue involving Misty and dental assistant Niqua. I had just finished a procedure and miss Niqua was returning me to the lobby to get scheduling for my next appointment when she approach Misty to let her know what was required misty very loudly to the point it got my attention told her that I would have to wait because what she was doing was more important, Niqua very quietly and professionally let her know that we could continue this later that this isn’t the appropriate conversation to have in front of a guest and walked away. Kudos to her for not escalating the situation she has an asset to your team.

This is a top notch dental practice!!! I had my first visit with them this week, and everything went smoothly. The check-in process was easy, my hygienist (Chrissy) was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The dentist was very nice and spent plenty of time with me, and the check-out process was seamless. They even had Karate Kid playing on the TV's in the waiting area and in the treatment room! I would highly recommend Konikoff!

Joan is a great dental hygienist who has helped me maintain good dental health. Her substitute during recent maternity leave was excellent and offered some helpful tips. Dr. Richards has provided thorough care and helped me through transition from old root canal to implant. Dr. Lanigan assisted with one emergency issue and was very professional. This is not an "assembly-line" practice. They take the time needed to provide the service required and schedule timely followups. They were amazing. I called and explained my problem. I had a toothache that had me in tears. The woman I spoke with was empathetic and got me in same day. I was in and out with my tooth pulled. It wasn't rushed but handled with urgency. My options were explained thoroughly and everyone was awesome! Every person I spoke with was professional, polite, and personable. My veneer popped off after 10 years. I called and an appointment was scheduled the same day. When I walked into the dental office the receptionist, Brandi, was exceptionally kind and understanding when she noticed that I was completely embarrased at the "tiny tooth" that was clearly visible without my veneer. Yesterday was my first visit back to the dentist in at least 5 years, I had cracked my tooth and knew there was a cavity in it so I made an appointment for an evaluation at the Lynnhaven office. They got me in fast and explained that I did indeed have a cavity where it was cracked. They were able to do it that day but I had started telling them about how nervous and anxious I get because of past experiences at the dentist. Dr. Niver and her hygienist were very kind and suggested I try "laughing gas" with my procedure, so she referred me to the General Booth location with Dr. Maniwang. Today was when I had my filling and let me tell you, I almost started crying happy tears at the end of my appointment because it went so amazing. She and her hygienist (I'm so sorry I forgot her name 😭) were wonderful! They both talked me through every step, asked what my concerns and fears were, and took those into account when moving forward. They didn't judge me over my fears and were very understanding! I didn't feel rushed to get comfortable, I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Maniwang and her team. Definitely will be returning as a patient and not waiting 5+ years to be seen 😂

I had a dental emergency due to a villainous cherry pit that resulted in an urgent root canal. My dentist was Dr. Jo-Marie Maniwang who was assisted by Mrs Barnett. Both were professional assisting me in filling in my paperwork, showing me a model of the issue and procedure, going over billing and next steps. I have been here twice, once for a cleaning and once for a filling. The staff is super sweet! I am sorry I'm bad with names but everyone is nice and helpful. No one likes going to the dentist so I appreciate the extra effort the staff puts forth here. The office is very neat and clean and they have a room for kids to play and watch movies. They are upfront about costs when I ask and so far I haven't been charged for anything unnecessary. The only complaint I have is it's hard to get a time on weekends, but they will try really hard to work with your schedule.

They were generous and kind when my childcare for my first appointment fell through and I had to cancel and reschedule at the last minute. I have been going to this office for several years now and find it to be a great place to go if you need dental work done. The staff if very friendly and professional at the same time. Dr. Lanigan takes the time to evaluate when and what needs to be done and listens to his patients about how they want to proceed. My last visit included a tooth extraction! Dr. Lanigan split the large tooth into two pieces and removed each root separately, which made it easier and caused less stress on me. This is the first time that I had a tooth removed that did not cause me several days of pain. I took ibuprofen for a couple of days and had no major pain or swelling. Yes I would recommend this office and Dr. Lanigan and his staff to anyone seeking services.

My time is valuable and they were running 20 minutes behind. They have a sign on the front desk that says if appointment is running 15 minutes late to let them know, however their clock was almost 10 minutes slower than my watch(set by world clock). I do not have an issue with anyone running late, however if they are going to be running late (especially since they have a sign posted) I would appreciate being told that they're running late. When I approached the front desk attendant to report the lateness, instead of her just apologizing for the situation, she made excuses for the person(s) running late.
