I am so very happy that I found South Tampa Dentistry. From the time that I walked in to the time I left I was treated with professionalism and compassion. It was nice that I made an appointment and was able to be seen very quickly because I had to go to work. They took their time to explain different options for me. And I was very grateful for their time they spent with me. They did not rush and showed a very caring heart. I know I'm going to need major dental work and they are willing to work with me. I would definitely recommend anyone to become a new patient of theirs. Have a blessed day everyone.

S. Tampa Dentistry! 5 Stars is not enough! My hygienist Laura along with Dr. Wyatt, Dr. McCaughey and the whole “office staff & Front desk” are really amazing people! Laura truly takes a personal interest in your well being surrounding your teeth & gums. I have never been so impressed with a hygienist and dentistry as a whole. I’ve never missed an appointment since first visiting, I actually want to go here when I’m scheduled. Read that again… If you can relate to not being excited about a dentist appointment. If you have the opportunity, set an appointment. This team is efficient, knowledgeable & incredibly effective. I have also found they will not recommend anything that is not necessary. Dr. Mark and his assistant Jamie were AMAZING! I moved from out of state and came for a second opinion. The first dentist I saw told me I needed a ridiculous amount of dental work despite never having any problems with my teeth at my previous dentist visits. I went to Dr. Mark for a second opinion . He reassured me about my teeth, answering any questions I had, and fixed what was necessary. Jamie was great explaining my bill and how my insurance works. It was a quick, painless experience. Cleanings are always super quick! The staff is friendly and the office is super clean and organized. I have been coming here for years and have never felt that I was being unnecessarily charged or offered services I didn’t truly need. Linda is the best dental hygienist ever!! Oh my gosh. Im new to Tampa and I came for a second opinion because my first dentist was trying to charge me A LOT of money for 2 crowns. I just left and this was the best dental service I’ve ever had. Everyone was super nice and explained things very well to me. They even worked with my insurance so I didn’t have to pay out of pocket!! And their prices are way more reasonable.

I've been going to this practice for 6 years and I've always had a great experience here. I've had a lot of issues with my teeth and Dr. Mark always made me feel very comfortable and even is sensitive to my dental anxiety. Today he saved me from wasting $2k on a crown another dentist said I needed and turns out I didn't need that. I trust his opinion over any other dentist bc Dr. Mark isn't money hungry and actually cares about his patients. This place is 5 stars hands down. I'm always coming here for as long as I'm in Tampa.

Ever walk out of the dentist's office feeling like you hit a walk-off home run? let me start off by saying that I have had a lot of great dentists over the years. Today I was in for an urgent crown refitting, and I am absolutely amazed at how well everyone here took care of me. Calyn in reception was kind and thorough, and she made Dr. Mark aware as soon as I arrived. Dr. Mark and Shelly were quickly back and forth, handling my situation as well as the appointment of another patient who was quite the screamer. They kept their composure and had fun with me while they both took care of my x-rays and recementing my crown. as they finished up, they made me aware that Nikki had an opening for a cleaning, which I was due for. normally she is booked about 6 months out, and I could see why. she was quick, thorough and fantastic. she was an absolute delight to have clean my teeth. honestly, I don't know if I've ever had an experience as good as I the one i had today. thank you Dr Mark, and the rest of your team. you guys are amazing!

Dr Mark and the entire staff have always been amazing. I have always had a bad fear of going to the dentist and always put things off, but not anymore... I brought my mother in seeking a second opinion from Dr Mccaughey. Dr Mark is a phenomenal dentist he explained to us what the best course of treatment for my mother, and explained to us that certain parts of the work carried out was quality. He also adjusted my mother dentures so they were comfortable. His bedside manner is exceptional, he is honest and we trust him. He recommended a periodontist who would be able to help us. Every year I’m supposed to visit the dentist. This year has been different to say the least. I moved from another state where I’d become comfortable wit the dentist I had. I dreaded finding a new dentist. I read the many reviews here about how good dr Mark is but I remained scared! I prayed endlessly as I knew I had to have a crown put on my tooth. Update: Dr. Wyatt reached out to my personally by phone and offered me an appointment over the phone for later that day. Meant a lot that he knew I still wanted a cleaning after writing this review and he went out of my way to call me and get me scheduled, only a few days after writing this to say the least!! Thanks Tampa south dentistry Old: Great hygienists and dentist. Affordable. Been going here for 5years almost. But unfortunately they’re getting a little too big for their britches. I had a cleaning scheduled for this past Friday. I called to reschedule and the only openings they had for hygienists weren’t until NEXT YEAR 2023. It’s frustrating that I have to wait half a year for a cleaning now, or go somewhere else in the meantime. Scheduling out 6months in advance isn’t the best practice considering if leaves your current patients without many alternative options for rescheduling. Its not a bad thing to stop accepting new patients when your practice is at capacity, or refer out. It seems as though south tampa dentistry has gotten greedy. Thanks.

I’ve been a patient here for over 7 years. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months. I love my dental hygienist and the office is always clean. However, I had an appointment on 2/24 that I just had to call and change due to the fact that my father needs open heart surgery and I won’t be in town (it’s not like I just cancelled for no good reason). The soonest appointment available was 6/1. That’s 97 days. That is truly the most unacceptable customer service. If you do not have the room on your books to properly care for your existing clients, you shouldn’t be booking new clients. I’m extremely disappointed and very upset. Update 2/3: The same day I had this issue my wonderful hygienist called me and offered to work late so that I could come in sooner for my cleaning. She was so kind and even shared well wishes for my fathers surgery. Thank you for helping me in a time of need!

My first visit there. The office was clean and the staff was friendly, and the facility was properly set up for the Covid era, They were ready for me and got me in and out quickly. The doctor was friendly and relatable. It was a very good experience. 2 years later and after regular checkups I had a minor problem that needed to be addressed, and they got me in the same day. Dr Wyatt and the staff were great. They explained the problem and what would have caused it. They were completely up front with the costs, took care of the problem and had me out in an hour (although I’ll have to return for the final installation in two weeks).

This the best dentist office I had in Tampa area, receptionist always answer the phone, always follow up with requests, reminding email and text to make sure you do not miss your appointment. Whenever we need to see doctor or request doctor to call back, doctors always call you back and they are so popular but they always can fit you in when you need something to be done. We have dental hygienist Ivanna and Nicky, they missed no tooth out, so detail, spent so much time, very gental. Love them.

Called South Tampa Dentistry with a (pain-free) problem while I was visiting the city. They gave me a same day appointment and took me 10 minutes early. Dr. Mark and his assistant were on-the-ball! Courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable!! They re-cemented my loose temporary bridge immediately (I'm in the middle of major work) and Dr. Mark even gave me his opinion on a couple of nagging doubts I've been having. The X-rays I was told I would have to get were waived and they sent me on my way with an extremely reasonable bill with a new air of confidence. This is a professional office with a knowledgeable staff and prompt, courteous, friendly service. I HIGHLY recommend South Tampa Dentistry!

Dr. Mark is the best!!! Came in about two wisdom teeth that were infected and I was in a lot of pain , he was able to pull them the same day! Mind you my wisdom teeth were not impacted ,that’s why he was able to pull them so quickly, but there was no pain at all. He was really nice and very informative. Considering I have been in pain for two weeks and I was getting the run around from a lot of different offices, this was like a breath of fresh air. Will definitely be returning for regular cleanings and checkups!

This place was wonderful from start to finish, I'm not big on doctors or dentists offices, they make me nervous and I never have the right vibe walking in. After visiting a walk-in clinic where no insurance was taken and it was going to cost a lot. I found this place nearby that took me as a walk-in and could use my insurance. They were welcoming as soon as I came in and quickly had me set up to go see the dentist. Everyone was through and quick. Very helpful and transparent with options and honestly helped me make the best choice given the circumstances. Everyone was very friendly and good at what they do and create a very warm atmosphere. We have been coming here for the past seven years and are now moving out of state. It sounds crazy, but this is one of the top places I will miss in Tampa. I only see the hygienist Nikki and am so going to miss her. She does the most thorough cleaning and has a great balance between preventive and addressing a potential problem. I am not at all confident when going to the dentist. I went in and everyone was friendly and ready to assist in any way possible. Dr. Mark was awesome and sat down with me an explained each step of the process. The assistant was very kind as was the dentist. I had to end up getting a crown and they made it seamless and I did not feel a thing. I look forward to having Dr. Mark support me in my future dental needs. Everyone was amazing!!!

I'm giving South Tampa Dentistry and Dr. Wyatt 5 stars, but I do not recommend Dr. Mark McCaugney. I am a new patient at this office (went to see them just two times), and above all I have to say that my experience is extremely pleasant, THANK YOU front desk, assistants and of course the dentist (Dr. Wyatt) who I saw the first time I went in who with his kindness helped me to calm my fear and anxiety. Unfortunately, the second time I went I had an unpleasant experience with Dr. Mark McCaugney who happened to be the one who was supposed to see me that day. Before he came, I asked the assistant if they could give me anesthesia that lasts shorter (I suffer from anxiety and I am very uncomfortable if I am numb for longer periods of time). I did not insist, just asked to see what works best for me. When he showed up, after a 25 minute delay, he reacted very unprofessionally when the assistant told him that I was asking for that. He asked me why I'm having a hard time if I'm numb, he said we can try it, but it's going to hurt and then he told me THAT I SHOULD PROBABLY CHANGE THE DENTAL OFFICE!!! He seemed to get very annoyed that I even asked and showed no patience, or willingness to help. He was rude, unprofessional and unpleasant. Honestly I was terrified and confused, I did not insist ever, just mentioned that, but for some reason he had an attitude and I wasn't comfortable at all. I apologized and kindly asked to reschedule the appointment for next week and if I could get the dentist I had the first time. I will continue to be a patient at this office and I think it's worth it, but certain people should have a positive attitude and do a job with a little more moral ethics and kindness. Many thanks to the others at this office, you're amazing!

I had a horribly infected tooth, and Cassandra set me up with antibiotics and my appointment to get my tooth pulled. When I arrived everyone was very pleasant and everything was very clean. I was seen within 10 mins of my arrival, which was great seeing how I messed up and got there late. After 6 shots of whiskey to calm my nerves, I walked into South Tampa Dental with liquid confidence dreading my initial visit but to my surprise, everyone was very welcoming and personable. First, I have bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I have PTSD from childhood dental trauma that I've never really been able to shake. So trust me when I say Dr. Mark and his staff are amazing! In 2018 I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed which exposed a horrible cavity on the adjacent molar. Dr. Mark was able to save the tooth and put a temporary crown on it. My nerves were so shot from the surgery, to the cavity, to then the crown that I never went back for the permanent one. Fast forward 3 years....my temporary crown broke. Not only were they able to see me right away, but they still had the permanent crown and was able to use it. Dr. Mark and his staff were so patient with me and non-judgemental about my anxiety. He should have charged me for this extra trouble but instead I left without a bill and with a new crown. I walked out with a sense of relief and calmness. The atmosphere is calm and spirited. The staff is awesome, the music they played was great, and Dr. Mark is genuinely nice and caring. Thank you South Tampa Dentistry for making this a pleasant experience!

I am extremely afraid of the dentist and needles but this staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Dr. Mark took the best care with me. He talked me through everything and made me very comfortable. I usually get nitrous( laughing gas) but Dr. Mark promised me I would not need it. Everyone was so professional and nice!!! When I left and tried to start my car, I realized the battery was dead. I called AAA and went inside to wait for them. Hmm... my first time there today. I am trying to find a general dentist since I moved to the area 2 years ago and haven’t gone for a teeth cleaning. My husband goes to a different dentist that’s a bit expensive so I thought I would branch out. I first tried Coast Dental a couple days ago and they run X-rays and they say I have gingivitis and will also need a crown or it could develop into needing a root canal and total out to $800 bucks. Then I try this place and they run my X-rays and say they can squeeze me in for a cleaning since my teeth are in good shape. Tell me I need to floss more to prevent him bleeding and say I definitely won’t need a crown for a long time. Fast, fast paced environment, and open cleaning “stalls” not closed rooms for cleaning. Pop music playing in the background with the doctor humming along. Employees appear to like him, which makes sense since he is honest with the treatment they need. I recommend WOOHOO!

Just had my first appointment a couple weeks ago and it could not have gone any better. The staff are super helpful and friendly and Dr. Wyatt is great! I don't have insurance and this can make a visit to the dentist very stressful. I had been to 2 other dentists recently so I already knew I needed a few fillings but wasn't sure of the severity of them. I sometimes worry about dentists embellishing the truth and recommending unnecessary work that doesn't need to be done. Dr. Wyatt showed me the x-rays up close so I could see each cavity and explained each one to me, something the other dentists had failed to do. He also informed me they were tiny cavities and I wouldn't need anesthesia to have them filled. The other dentists made it sound like I was in a lot worse condition. Dr. Wyatt filled the cavities in less than 20 minutes right then and there! Very happy and relieved I found this dentist. Dr. Wyatt's candor and transparency are what will keep me coming back to South Tampa Dentistry.

I had a crown done here. Painless and easy. The staff is amazing. Growing up in the 70's - 80's, dentistry was a really scary thing. The staff in this office is young and highly educated. It's refreshing that they know nothing or very little of the butchery that took place decades ago. If you are in your 40's, or 50's and are avoiding getting your teeth fixed, don't. There is no reason to fear the dentist anymore. The staff can be heard singing along to the radio during your appointment to the "oldies". They all get along great with one another. It's just an amazing experience now. Ask for Brian, he is excellent in his craft. From the front desk staff, technicians, and dentists, this place is a well oiled machine.

Dr. Mark is like the Jesus of allll dentistry!!! Lol No seriously though; if you are going through any dental emergency he is the best around! I have had 2 wisdom teeth get infected in the past 3 months- I did not have dental insurance at the time and was referred to his office by a good family friend that has been using him for yearsss. His prices are beyond reasonable and his service is worth every penny. Yesterday I was told by another dentist (my insurance network) in S Tampa that I had an infected wisdom tooth that she would “not be able to extract” and I would have to go to an oral surgeon. I called the surgeons office and zero openings until mid August!! Dr. Mark immediately popped in my head bc I knew if anybody could do it, it’d be him. They got me in this morning & he was able to get it out with no issue!!! I cannot thank him enough! Literally worth every penny out of pocket & I am sooo thankful to be out of pain & not have to wait over a month & a half in agony! He is amazing & truly cares to help in any way he can. I would give South Tampa Dentistry 10 Stars if I could! Thank you to the office staff as well, everyone is so friendly! :)

I had been to a different dentist office a few weeks ago and didn't have a great experience. This place treated me great and are so much cheaper than the other place I went to so that's a big plus. In all the years of going to dentists trying to sell you everything and pressure you and having so may impersonal dentists I finally found one here who is so awesome. The best you will ever find. He never pushes anything on you to make money, His rates beat anyones by miles, he is the most friendly personable dentist I ever seen. E mail him personally, call him and he gets right back to you himself, Unheard of anywhere. Friendly and makes you feel its all OK. He's confident and does excellent work. Had a bridge put in and never asked me to pay the final amount till it was finished to my liking. He backs his work completely and has a great friendly staff. Never wait at all. I had an appointment today for a deep cleaning! I was very nervous as it was 3 years since I had my last one and I knew what bad shape my gums were in. Lauren put me at ease immediately! She explained the procedure to me before she started. She sensed how nervous I was, so she would stop periodically to assure I was doing ok. Lauren was so patient and efficient.Next week I go back to have my other side done and I’m not even nervous, thanks to Lauren.😊

I have had some bad experiences with dentist and dentist offices in my life with one causing an issue with my gums that became infected to some shady stuff such as saying I needed procedures that another dentist wouldn't even mention or ones that doesn't even respond back. However, here at South Tampa Dentistry so far is great. I found this by viewing the reviews on Google even the bad reviews wasn't as bad as others I have seen and the ounce was responding to many of the reviews good or bad. The moment I arrived they saw me quickly, the staff was very courteous and respectful of my situation. Every dentist I have ever been to was more concerned about how I would pay them and would never do anything on the first visit. At South Tampa Dentistry, they broke it down step by step, gave the information as the facts were, and actually performed the first procedure on the first day. If anyone is looking for a great dentist, to do you a favor don't be fooled into the eye-catching weekend dentists and do make the trip here. You'll thank me later.

I can not speak highly enough about Dr. Wyatt and his staff! I initially went to him because of the way they treated my adult daughter. My daughter explained she hadn't been to a dentist in a long time because of bad experiences with other dentists. Never once were they condescending or belittle to either one of us about not going to a dentist regularly. So if you are someone who hasn't kept up with your dental hygiene, and want to start, this is the place to go. Every time I have had to see Dr. Wyatt, I've gotten a phone call at the end of the day from him checking up on me. Once, I had work done on a Friday and gave me his personal number to call if I had problems. I did have to call him and get put on antibiotics. My point is he, and his staff, go above and beyond what they need to, insuring their patients are doing well. Both during and after your visit. There is a reason I drive from Brandon to South Tampa to go to this office.

Edit: all I can say is love the dentist and his staff. Nice kind and down to earth straight forward with everything! ☺️ The dentist was great a long with his assistances. Professional yet very friendly. My 6yr old had an emergency and they squeezed him in, to see him that day. They were up front about procedures and if they may or may not be able to help him at that office do to his younger age. I rate 5 stars cause they were open and honest up front. And even when it was found out my sons tooth was worse then expected and he would need to see a pediatric specialist. The dentist his self made phone calls to find a pediatric dentist that could take my son in the afternoon. I'd say they did all they could and even went above and beyond by making the phone calls to pediatric dentists. I couldn't have been more greatful. My little guy was able to sleep well later that night without tooth pain.

I've been so happy and very impressed with South Tampa Dentistry and the entire staff. When the day comes for us to relocate I know I will not find another dentist as great as Dr. Wyatt and staff. This office is great. I've been here a handful of times, and don't think I've spent longer than 5 minutes in their lobby *collectively*. Office is clean, staff is great, and their extended hours help with work schedules. They also don't try to push a ton of extra stuff on you, which I feel is rare these days.
