I had three wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Loveless made this experience so comfortable, quick and painless! Maybe took a total of 5-8 minutes to remove all 3 teeth. I was so impressed! Absolutely, hands down, the best oral surgeon I’ve ever met. My nerves were instantly calmed as I was so scared to get this procedure done. Thank you so much Dr. Loveless and his incredibly friendly and comforting staff! Michelle, Sidney, Aimee/Aimee and Jordan were the absolute best team and I can’t thank you ladies enough for holding my hand and making sure I had all the comfort through this. 10/10 recommend Archway oral surgery!!

This was my second surgery here. The entire staff and physical space is fantastic. They are super friendly, take time to explain everything, and do their best to give you as pain-free, anxiety-free, and comfortable an experience as possible. One staff member told me how much she loved working there and was hoping to stay her entire career because the doc took great care of everyone. The surgeon was kind and respectful and did not seem like he wanted to rush you at all. That’s the kind of place I love to support. Also, both times they were able to get me an appointment within a week of me calling, once after I got on their cancellation list.

Archway went above and beyond what I expected! My wisdom teeth were bothering me for about a week and I decided to call based on their great reviews. When calling on a Monday morning and hearing the pain I was in, they had an opening for that same week and were able to get me an appointment. I ended up having an infection on the left side of my mouth from my wisdom teeth, but I was able to get on antibiotics a day before and they were able to keep my appointment. I there 30 minutes early and they immediately took me back and did a same day consultation. Taylor and Dr. Loveless did a great job at explaining the procedure, what I should expect, and how I should take the best take care of myself. I was super nervous and Taylor was amazing at keeping my spirits high and making the experience better!

Went there to get my wisdom teeth taken out and from walking in the door the staff were professional and courteous. The nurse I had was very friendly and helped keep any nerves I had calm as she got me ready for my procedure. From the approximately 3-4 minutes I remember of Dr. Loveless talking to me he was very friendly before getting put out for the procedure. I've been in only a mild amount of pain since my procedure was done which I contribute to superb performance from Dr. Loveless and his team. If you need oral surgery this is the place to go, I appreciate their help.

My experience at Archway Oral Surgery was amazing! I have no complaints. The nurses were so sweet and caring and everyone at the front desk is so inviting. The doctor doing the procedure was great too! Today is day two after my wisdom teeth being taken out and I have very little pain. I got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out I was worried my pain and swelling would be much worse, but my jaw is just a slight bit sore, and I have no swelling. I am very happy and pleased about my experience it really could not have gone any better!

If you have to have oral surgery, Archway Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is the place you want to be! I’ve unfortunately had to have two teeth extracted in the last year after breaking both of them. I had such a great experience with the first extraction and bone graft, that I specifically requested a referral to Dr. Loveless for the second. Every team member I have encountered at every visit, from the ladies at the front desk, to the oral surgery assistants to Dr. Loveless, is so kind and compassionate. Caleb, the “one stick wonder,” placed an IV that I barely felt and was so patient in answering all of my questions before the procedure. He made me feel like family and had me laughing all the way through the prep for the procedure. He even made sure to put Vaseline on my lips after the procedure so I didn’t leave with crusty lips! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Loveless and his team!

I cannot say enough nice things about this office. They fit in my son for wisdom teeth extraction before the end of the year. We got to the office about 2 hrs early and instead of having us wait till our appointment, they got him in, did the procedure, and we were on the road home before our actual appointment time. They gave detailed instructions on aftercare and called the next day to see how my son was doing. Amazing doctor and staff. I will be back as I am looking into some dental implants.

Dr Loveless is awesome for many reasons but I really appreciate his taking time to inform me of my treatment options as well as the process and procedures with my treatment plan. AMAZING and positive experience with my child's wisdom teeth extractions. I had a terrible experience with the procedure myself in the 1980's and I was so worried and even called a few times with worried mom questions. The staff was very patient, understanding, and reassuring. The post op instructions were clear and easy to follow. They also assured me they would be available, even over a holiday weekend, if we had any problems. I would recommend them wo hesitation and we would go back with any oral surgery needs.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed this week. She did very well. The office staff gave us supplemental instructions along with written instructions to help us through those first few days. They also called to check in and see if we had questions. The doctor was very kind and personable as well. While I understand pain management is individual, I was happy to find that my daughter’s pain was controlled with prescribed ibuprofen and over the counter acetaminophen.

Dr. Loveless has performed multiple dental procedures on me in the past year, and every time, I am incredibly impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and competence of him and his entire staff. I’ve had virtually no pain during or following procedures that are often thought of as painful. I always receive thorough post-op instructions. The office runs efficiently and on-time, and the facility is modern and clean. They are very transparent about billing. Overall, I give this practice my best possible recommendation and appreciate their outstanding care!

They were so nice and helpful throughout the whole process, the surgery was over faster than I thought it would be and the Ted Drewes ice cream was a sweet touch afterward. This was an unexpected positive experience. I actually hate the dentist and was filled with dread when my tooth broke. My regular dentist sent me here to have an extraction. I was very scared having heard all the nightmarish stories from friends and family BUT the staff was wonderful and the experience as good as a tooth extraction can be. Was referred to Archway Oral Surgery from my dentist. The consultation was great. The office was clean and beautifully decorated. They are following COVID guidelines too. The staff was very friendly and the visit was quick. The dentist suggested that my upper wisdom teeth be pulled after an X-ray. I was in and out within 20 minutes. I was able to choose if I wanted to be awake or sleep during the extraction. You have to pay for the surgery the day of. I paid about $180 with insurance for upper wisdom teeth and anesthesia. The day of the surgery, I was completely at ease. They asked what music I would like to listen to as I drifted off to sleep. They have your ride stay at the office (outside in the car due to COVID). They call up the person driving you afterwards to help you to the car. The surgery took about 30 mins. Afterward, they gave me ted drewes ice cream to take home. (yum!) They next day, they called to see how I was doing. I really appreciated that. You won’t be disappointed with Archway Oral Surgery.

Surgery was quick and painless, and every moment I was at the office I was made comfortable. Only thing was after care and not getting any pain meds except a gel to help keep the incisions moist and getting rid of some of the pain. It did make the aftercare feel longer and more painful.

I was VERY anxious about having 4 wisdom teeth pulled, mostly about being put under general anesthesia for the first time. However, this office is run so smoothly, I was able to fill out my paperwork online, they called me a week ahead to give me all the financial and appointment info, they got me in on time the day of my procedure. Caleb, the assistant who prepped me was awesome. Super knowledgeable, patient, empathetic, and friendly. Answered all my questions and put me at ease. Then I met the surgeon, he had a great bedside manner, very professional and ready to answer even more questions. My procedure went well, pretty quick, and it’s a day later and I’m feeling fine. A little drowsy and my mouth is sore but not really any pain (my wisdom teeth were non-impacted) and I’m able to eat soft foods and drink non-hot liquids. I could not have asked for a better experience especially as I was so worried about the anesthesia and recovery. This wonderful staff took great care of me!

This is officially my first review ever...We are from a rural area and I wasn't sure what to expect going to an oral surgeon in a bigger city. The atmosphere was great and the waiting room was very inviting! Aimee is the only name I can remember as she was my daughter's nurse and made us feel right at home! We kind of stand out in our cowboy boots and jeans when we go to the city but Aimee was like the girl next door to us with her outgoing personality that matched ours! The nice young lady at the front desk noticed where we were from and mentioned that she was headed our way this summer to visit our town! Dr. Loveless sounds like a name from a movie but he was not an actor, just a great surgeon and did such a great job on Megan that she didn't even have the "3rd day is the worst". I am completely and totally satisfied with our visit! When it is time for my sons wisdom teeth to come out - I know who I am calling!! Oh and I would really like to own the spool table in the waiting room...my barbed wire creations would look great with their decor! Thanks Dr. Loveless and all at Archway Oral Surgery!

Dr. Loveless and his staff were amazing. This was my first ever surgery that I was going to be put under general anesthesia (wisdom teeth removal - all 4) and I was very nervous but they made me feel so comfortable and safe. Surgical assistant Michele was a true gem and she eased my nerves by talking to me before the doctor came in and let me choose the music before the surgery began. She was a pro when it came to putting in my IV. Dr. Loveless was very thorough and answered all my questions. I just felt so reassured the entire time. I couldn't have picked a better office. Even though the office was busy, they still made me feel like I was their main priority. Hopefully I do not need anymore surgeries, but if I did, I would be returning here and I would recommend to all my friends and families. Dr. Loveless even answered an after hours phone call from me regarding some questions about after surgery care. All in all, I'm just so grateful.

I saw Dr. Loveless and his oral surgical RN Taylor on April 4, 2022 for a wisdom teeth extraction. The process was very fast and as painless as it could be! Taylor was very personable and made me feel incredibly comfortable and Dr. Loveless was very knowledgeable and wanted the process to go quickly so I could get to recovering! Had my Wisdom teeth removed by them, was an absolute joy! Every where else was booked months about, but they were able to fit me in a couple of weeks. Had my appointment at 8, they took me back immediately, had my consultation and by 8 30 I was being put under for my removal. They were all exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, explained aftercare and gave us a detailed sheet, and sent me home with some Ted Drewes custard that honestly helped with the pain! All around a great experience, would absolutely recommend.

Walking into the office I was immediately greeted by the front desk secretary. I love how online registration was an option because I was able to get a lot of the paper work completed before even walking into the office the day of my appointment. I only waiting for a short period of time past my appointment time. When taken to the back the staff explained anything and everything and created a very welcoming environment. The entire staff I was in close contact with were all extremely professional and welcoming. They answered all questions I had, even the goofy ones after my procedure. They took very great care of me. I felt safe and secure getting my wisdom teeth removed at this location. Best of all my procedure went perfect and they supplied me with numerous different options to properly care for myself at home while I’m still in the healing process. 10/10 would recommend this location to anyone.

Everyone in the office seem like friendly people, who also have to be friendly as part of their job. I had four wisdom teeth extractions; given the operation, I can't imagine the experience realistically going much better anywhere else. The only complaint I can think of is the timing of post-op and in-op instructions. Like, I wasn't told anything really about what I needed to do during or after surgery until after they put the numbing needle in my gums. After I was numbed, I was told some of the at-home instructions, separately before and after surgery and that if I didn't remember anything, the instructions were on paper and I could call and ask but it would've just been better had we went over this beforehand. I don't remember if I was personally told not to drink, or only if I wanted to be sedated but the paper instructions did say to not rinse for 24 hours and for most of day1, I didn't see on the other side of the paper where it specifically said to drink a lot of water, so I was dehydrating, waiting for the bleeding to stop. I don't know why anyone would mention swelling/bleeding, as though it's due to the surgeon's action/ability but if it is, I was only swollen for day 1. First day, my mouth kept overfilling with blood, often requiring me to spit it out (just open my mouth); second day, my mouth always had blood in but not overfilling; after day 4 there was no blood. I wasn't having much/any pain until day 3 but it still wasn't bad. So yeah, overall if you can get payment situated (you, insurance, etc), this makes for a great place to go to if you need to. Just ask for detailed in-op/post-op instructions, prior to injections, so you can be able to comfortably ask questions and fully understand your tasks.

No one ever says, I had a great time getting my wisdom teeth out but this staff made it as enjoyable as it gets. They were very organized, professional and informative on the procedure as well as follow up. Received a call afterwards to clarify anything that one may be uncertain of. Dr. Loveless was awesome, friendly and a straight boss at his job. He may have gotten all four wisdom teeth out under ten minutes. Was painless and not as brutal as others hype the procedure up to be. Taylor the assistant was outstanding!! They're lucky to have her for sure!! I cant recommend this place enough. I got all 4 wisdom teeth (3 were impacted) removed without sedation. After being numbed, I put on some music and Dr. Loveless got to work. It was over quickly. 15 minutes into the first album, he finished stitching me up. If you can handle someone pushing on your head and hearing you jaw bone crack, I recommend doing it without sedation. I was able to consciously work through the experience, rather than have a physical experience I cant clearly remember or process. Recovery has got me wondering what everyones fussing about. A little bloody but not painful. Most annoying part was being numb and trying to talk. Im healing well, swelling is fairly minimal. Staff were very helpful with scheduling on an insurance deadline, and patiently answered my questions before and after the procedure.

The staff was very kind and helpful. I had to bring my little one unfortunately and they accommodated us with such Grace. I wish one thing were different. I was referred by my dentist and the price that he quoted was $800 lower than what it actually cost. That’s a big difference. It would really help in planning on the end of the customer and managing expectations to have a more accurate quote before the day of the procedure. Other than that my procedure was complete in about an hour and I was off to the pharmacy to pick up my meds. Again, great staff!

I was dealing with severe pain from a suddenly-erupting wisdom. Other surgeons in the area were book for weeks out, but when I called Archway, they were able to squeeze me in same-day. They were welcoming, professional, open to any questions, and all-around pleasant to visit. Dr. Loveless made sure that all anesthesia meds were effective and started the procedure only when I was completely numb. The staff is super friendly and touched base with me multiple times prior to and after my visit. This wasn't my first time having teeth removed, so I went into the procedure having some idea what to expect. They answered all my questions before they knocked me out. When I woke up, my wisdom teeth were gone, my face was numb, and my mouth was full of bloody gauze. Pretty much what you'd expect when having all four removed at once. What I didn't have was pain. And they provided extremely detailed information on care and maintenance after the procedure. If, for some unknown reason, my wisdom teeth grow back and need to be removed, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Archway. Although, if that happens, it might require a little more scientific research.

My son was ill most of September. He needed heart surgery but first his teeth needed a deep clean, 6 cavities filled & 3 wisdom teeth pulled. The problem was the Cardiac Thoracic Surgeon wanted them done the week before surgery. I called every oral surgeon I could find in St. Charles, Mo, everyone of them said NO! Dr. Loveless not only said yes but he was the nicest young man. Honestly everyone in his office was so sweet, not that fake sweet but truly sweet. They really cared about the people they were interacting with. You don’t see this very often & when you do it really makes an impact on you. I had to get one of my wisdom teeth extracted. This was my second time using Archway Oral Surgery. I was a bit nervous as it has been a while since my last procedure. I was greeted by smiling faces and the entire staff was super friendly. The office is super clean, modern, and inviting. I had concerns going in because I have trouble getting numb by local anesthetic. I brought up my concerns with Dr. Loveless answered all the questions I had before going in. After the first does of anesthetic Dr. Loveless made sure I was numb before going in and assured me that he would stop and give me more if I felt any pain at all. They let you pick out any music you want to listen to which made my nerves go down because I was listening to something familiar. The extraction itself was very quick and the assistant and Dr. Loveless treated me with the utmost care an compassion. After the surgery they sent me home with everything I needed for post op care including my choice of Ted Drewes! The next day the staff called me to make sure I was doing okay and told me I could call if I had any questions. This is quality care. If I ever need to get anything else done I'll be going to Dr. Loveless.

Rarely do I write reviews, however when a business is top notch I have to! This is the place to go. I have had extreme dental phobia for most of my life, add that to not having access to dental care as a kiddo and needless to say I had to come in for 2 molar extractions. The staff at Archway are so welcoming! - Rose took time to explain costs to me upfront as an estimate before booking my appointment, which no one has ever done for me before. - Emily, the dental assistant was so comforting and really listened to my concerns and hyped me up for the extractions . - Dr. Loveless took the time to explain each and every step to me and was polite and professional and made my comfort his top priority. The actual extractions took less than 5 minutes together and the next day I am slightly sore but have barely had to take any pain medication. Another pro is this office is punctual and fast. I had little to no wait time in each part of the appointment, and could tell that the staff communicates well! The best part was getting Ted Drewe's Custard after!! This is seriously, one of the best dental experiences I have ever had! You will not be disappointed with this team .

Two of my children had oral surgery here in the past 10 months. I love the cleanliness of the facility, the friendliness of staff, and the great before/after care. Dr. Loveless is very personable, too. I think teens will like the place because it looks fresh and contemporary, not like some boring doctor's office that hasn't been updated since the 1970s. And the staff makes an effort to connect to the younger generation, too. Making appointments was easy and they took care of all the work with our insurance company. I had a surgery to remove all 4 wisdom teeth on Monday Jan 3, 2022. Everyone at the office was very nice and sweet. Tylor was very fun to talk to while waiting for doctor to come for the consultation! When doctor Loveless came in to the room it was so obvious how professional and experienced he was because right away he was able to tell everything that was going on with my wisdom teeth. He barely looked at my x-ray and immediately told me what was going to happen. All 4 of my teeth were still in my gums and two bottom ones were actually rooting in my nerve. So the doctor said that he would have to take out only halfs of both bottom teeth, leaving the roots inside in order to not damage the nerve. My surgery went very smoothly and very fast. I think I was in the office for a total of 2 hrs but felt like 30 minutes. Personally I did have a lot of pain the first two days. Now (day 4) the pain comes from one of 4 sites where teeth were extracted. 3 sites are totally fine, don’t hurt or bother, swelling is very small, but the 4th site is still painful and still pretty swollen.

I needed a dental implant and was told by a different oral surgeon that I wasn't a candidate due to some bone loss. Thankfully, my new dentist referred me to Dr. Loveless for a second opinion. When I came for my consultation, they did a quick scan and he looked everything over and said, "I'm not sure why they told you that you're not a candidate, everything looks straightforward here." I did need a sinus lift procedure and that made me kind of nervous because I wasn't sure what that would entail. I looked through some of the previous Google reviews for Dr. Loveless, and the majority of them are for tooth extractions. I was hoping to see what other patients with sinus lift/dental implant procedures had to say of their experience, so I'm feeling like this review might help others that want to know what to expect. Every single person in the this office was absolutely wonderful! Very professional and very caring! Day of my procedure, they brought me back to the treatment room, they started the IV. Procedure took less than an hour. I woke up gently and they took another scan of my head. They sent me home with some Ted Drewes custard! Pain has been very mild, I've only needed to take the pain killer twice. It's been almost 48 hours, only some minor swelling. Eating hasn't been terrible, I stuck to some protein shakes and soup for the first few meals, but I'm feeling more comfortable with solids now. 24 hours after the procedure I went shopping with my husband and had no problems moving around, just needed to take it slowly. I expected the recovery to be a lot worse, and I feel great considering everything that went into the procedure. I would definitely recommend Dr Loveless to anyone needing a dental implant/sinus lift, he's very confident and capable, and his office staff is excellent!!

Overall great experience here.There is not sign stating archway but if you pay attention to the address, it's 16 which is for the medical building. Elevator or stairs to the second floor, can't miss it. I had all 4 of my wisdoms teeth extracted. Two were partially impacted, two were fully impacted. This caused me to use my medical insurance and dental. I had $300 of copays between the both. My total for being put to sleep was $840.00. While that is a little higher than I expected - I left painless. Would recommend.

I had my wisdom teeth out last week and I was in and out of the office within an hour. The procedure itself was probably only 25 minutes. Everyone was friendly and efficient and I have had minimal pain since leaving and didn't even need pain medication after the first post-op day! Highly recommend to anyone. I was very nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed. The entire team was super nice and did everything in their power to make me feel more comfortable and relaxed. I'm the case most dental professionals dread getting because I can't open my mouth very wide due to a previous very badly broken jaw. I found them because of an awful experience I had with another oral surgeon who I ended up not having perform my surgery. I went looking for a different oral surgeon with experience in more difficult cases and great patient reviews. I found Dr Loveless’s office online. I spoke with staff 3 times before my appt and each time they were so extremely helpful and helped calm my nerves and anxiety cause by my previous experience with the other surgeon. They assured me that this is something Dr Loveless can handle (bone impacted horizontal wisdom tooth) and that everything would be ok. I had my surgery yesterday with them, and it was so much better than I could’ve expected. Dr Loveless answered all my question and concerns created by my first experience and had a solution for an easy procedure. His education and experience and patients he commonly sees make what other would consider more difficult cases a breeze for him (in my situation I was recommended by previous oral surgeon not to do have the surgery because it would be too difficult on me) I’m now one day out of surgery, already off of the narcotic pain meds and feeling amazing already. Dr Loveless and Taylor were so helpful and gentle and I highly recommend this office for any/all of your oral surgeries. He is the only oral surgeon I will see from here on out.

I found archway online after my wisdom teeth started bugging me, i filled out a appointment request online and they called me the same day! I was thrilled with the fact that they do consult & surgery the same day, because i have kids and it’s not easy finding a sitter. I went in for the consult and i didn’t even sit in the waiting room but two minutes before i was called for my X-ray, then immediately i was given a breakdown and opinion of the oral surgeon Dr.Loveless. After we had a plan for surgery, i was escorted to another room, hooked up to monitors and an IV by two lovely nurses who explained what they were doing before doing it. Woke up after surgery to teddrews ice cream and a breakdown of post operative care! My experience was for sure 5 star. Can’t believe how quick and efficient it was. And they take my insurance which is hard for me to find! Thanks archway!!

So happy that I went to archwayoral. I previously called for my husband who was in a huge amount of pain from his wisdom teeth. He went and had his surgery and everything has healed up nicely :) there was no bruising and no serious pain just the normal soreness that comes with a tooth extraction. To begin, the check in process was a breeze. They give you online options to fill out some paperwork which makes your process faster. I was in the waiting room about 5 mins if that. So when my dentist told me it was time to have something removed and that I needed to see an oral surgeon I was terrified. I really had no need to worry. I extracted four teeth in archway oral surgery and dental implants clinic in two days ago, which was the first time I went to this clinic. At the front desk I saw many medals of Dr. loveless, plus the hygienic facilities and easy atmosphere make a nice first impression. The day of my surgery was my birthday, the staff gave me ice cream as my gift which is so sweet. I didn’t feel any pain or uncomfortable during the surgery even after surgery. The second day I can eat anything I want and no swelling no bleeding at all. I wanna say thanks to Dr. Loveless and his assistant, the girl who helped me to relieve my tension, sent me good vibes but I don’t know her name, such a shame:( I would like to highly recommend here.

My son needed wisdom teeth out and a tooth implant. Not knowing many oral surgeons in the area I called one and had a consultation...not feeling completely comfortable with the information given, I really just felt I needed a second opinion. I reached out to our orthodontist who referred me to Dr. Loveless. His office was not close to where I live but because of the referral I thought I would at least go to the consultation. So I scheduled a consultation, and they were able to get us in right away. I had questions for these procedures but they answered my questions and they explained the procedures, and assured me of all concerns I had. It felt right. The surgery was scheduled quickly, which turned out to be perfect timing for my son to get the time off work for healing time! We arrived for the procedures, I stayed on site. The time passed quickly. Surgery was a success and we arrived home for some downtime. Later that evening the Doctor called personally to see how my son was doing! I'm not sure he will always be able to do that as his practice continues to expand but it was nice to feel he had that personal connection. What a blessing! I would recommend Dr. Loveless hands down!

The doctor and assistants were honest and straight-forward about what my procedure would entail. I won’t get in to details, but everything was pain free. Post op has been pain free, though I was given a medication prescription if I needed it. Hardest part was stopping smoking so I don’t pull the stitches. Smoke free for four days so far. This surgery may have served more than one purpose.

A thoroughly professional oral surgery office: organized, great attention to detail, and you go home with a cup of Ted Drewes frozen custard! update-in hindsight: Oral surgery is SURGERY & their skill and facilities are top-shelf, hence the 5 stars. But they are also charging top-shelf prices. I required a multi-stage procedure and they drastically overestimated the percentages that my insurance would pay for the later steps, to an extent that required me to abort the procedures because I couldn't afford them. My regular dentist stepped in and provided me with many more good affordable options. Loveless is very good at oral surgery but the staff don't seem to comprehend that some of their patients can't hand them a blank check even if there's a Harvard diploma on display. Press them to commit to all projected costs in writing and verify those costs with your insurance company BEFORE making an appointment or that might be the most expensive Drewe's custard you ever bought.

They got me in quickly in just a short notice. The staffs were all so nice and treated me well. I went under general anesthesia. Super easy, i got knock out fast, but woke up completely fine. I got two top teeth remove. They even gave me a ted drew ice cream to take home. Also prescribed me with meds. I think opioid drug was too strong and makes me nauseous. So i took it twice and stop. Currently on my second day! Painless so far! Thanks Dr Loveless and the amazing staff!

From the first phone call to our follow-up calls after the procedure, the staff has been available, knowledgeable, and empathetic (that goes for front office, assistants, and Dr. Loveless himself). I had never had surgery/been under anesthesia, so the whole team was attentive to my nerves and explained every step of what was going to happen and what I would be experiencing. Lastly, after-care was great. They went over everything I should know with me beforehand, with me and my "sober" person afterward, and through a document with all of the instructions/possible side effects of the procedure and meds/other things to know for recovery, so I was all set. They also made themselves available to me over the weekend (important to me since I had my surgery done on a Friday).

I was really a bit nervous when I went to see Dr. Tyman Loveless at Archway Oral Surgery on Hampton Ave. in St. Louis, Mo. Words fail to adequately describe the outstanding service I received at Archway Oral Surgery. Their website made it easy for me to setup an appointment the night before, and a staff member called me the very next morning. To my amazement, she got me in the next day. In my home town, the best I could do for a consult, not extraction, was three weeks out! That was far too long to wait with my painful, fractured molar, #18. On the day of my appointment, there was no wait time! Dr. Loveless and his team made me feel comfortable very quickly, putting to rest my fears of a difficult extraction. Everything related to the surgery including the various charges were explained kindly and clearly; there were no unexplained surprises at the end! I elected to have general anesthesia so, I do not remember the extraction or bone graft process. The last thing I remembered was Dr. Loveless administering the IV and nothing more. When I awoke, the same friendly faces were there and I was handed a pint of Ted Drew's strawberry frozen yogurt. And what about pain? What pain? I felt the usual numbness and swelling but no pain! I said to myself, "It must be the anesthesia." Well now it's some 30 hours later and there's still only mild pain in a small area and some swelling but nothing more. This speaks highly of Dr. Loveless' skill to perform surgery with the least amount of trauma to his patient. I had no referral to see Dr. Loveless. I took a chance on his very positive patient reviews and it paid off with huge dividends! I owe an ocean of gratitude to Dr. Loveless and his team.

From putting in the IV to waking up afterwards. I can say this was a very easy procedure, and hopefully just the same for recovery. The people at the office are so lovely! Dr. Loveless is very efficient, i had an impacted wisdom tooth removal and it took not more than 10-15minutes (i had a local anesthetic so I was awake for all of it, not a bad experience if your interested in medicine/dental school/curiosity for the procedure) . The only suggestion I would have for anyone undergoing oral surgery is to make the doctor aware of any history of acid reflux or heartburn, because the 800ml ibuprofen they prescribe will up the acidity in your stomach and give you stomach ulcers (as it did in my experience). If that happens, drink a lot of milk if antacids are out of reach/are gross to you. Other than that, my experience with them was great!

I've had quite a few negative experiences with dental work in the past, and on top of that, I suffer from PTSD; so I was really afraid to get my wisdom tooth out. But Dr. Loveless and his team took such good care of me! They were patient, asked me questions, answered my questions, and even made me comfortable by playing the Beatles before the operation, and giving me Ted Drewes afterwards. This was the easiest general anesthesia knockout I'd ever experienced, it was administered very well and I didn't suffer from the "TV static" in my head like the last 2 times I had endoscopies. I called, and even during this Corona pandemic, they got me in the following week for my appointment. I called other places before that told me I would need to wait 1.5 months to even be looked at, which I knew I couldn’t do. I was extremely comfortable from the time I got in this office, to the time I left! I got 3 wisdom teeth taken out (only had 3), and it was done quickly and it went very well. I visited Dr. Loveless' office back in December for what I thought would be one tooth extraction. Dr. Loveless recommended I get a wisdom tooth extracted too, and he gave specific reasons why I should get it removed. Ultimately, it was my decision and he and his staff were very patient with me as I pondered my options (I was mentally prepared to have 1 tooth removed and not 2). I decided to go ahead and have both teeth extracted in one visit. I do not regret this decision and was very grateful that Dr. Loveless recommended it. The process was painless and both teeth were removed in no time. The whole process was thoroughly explained to me and I was in and out of the office in a little over an hour. I would also suggest getting the Exparel shot. Ask Dr. Loveless about it. The shot does cost extra but I highly recommend it. It worked wonders for pain relief after the extractions, as I do not like taking pain meds if I can avoid it.

I was extremely anxious, never had any teeth pulled in 42 years. Yes I still had all my wisdom teeth 😑 ugh! When I walked in that day of surgery, I will admit I was scared, anxious and about to lose my stomach but when Bridget my nurse came out she changed everything! She was upbeat, happy made me feel so much more relaxed. She took care of me amazingly! It was time!!!! Dr loveless came in ready to “do this” lol however I was a little bit of a hard patient as my veins wouldn’t allow that little butterfly needle to go in, not his fault, I’m a difficult stick Once I was asleep, Boom!!! it was over , he is quick and his bedside manor is awesome!!! Best part EVER he gives Ted Drew’s ice cream , felt like a kid Went to bed thinking man I feel good but tomorrow will be rough! I have to say I am amazed hardly any swelling or bruising, tenderness and soreness but I’m only taking the 800 mg ibuprofen. I am one happy patient! I called the office and spoke to the doctor himself who told me they could operate that same afternoon. He then put me in touch with Brandy, to schedule my appointment, who was equally as helpful. An hour and a half after I called, I was in the chair and getting that nightmare tooth pulled. It was a seemless procedure, and in a short amount of time I was on my way home. Great experience here with my husband. He had to have a impacted extraction. The workers there were so sweet and calming. My 2 yr was there as well and they treated her so awesome. Only thing we didn't like is they werent aware when they were applying the anesthesia they didn't hit my husband's vein instead it disposed intoh arm,and burned him bad. But they informed how to keep the swelling down and they just was overall sweet people. Dr. Loveless informed us before the procedure the tooth was right above a nerve and that could cause permanent numbness BUT he did the procedure with an amazing outcome.

On the day of my consultation I had to bring my daughter who is 2 years old. At that age they don't sit still. While I got my x-ray done they kept my daughter occupied & sat with her. Yesterday I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I've heard horror stories from people about having them removed. I'm not swollen, in pain or bruised. Yes my gums are a little sore, but other than that I feel normal. I don't even need to take the pain meds. I recommend this office for anyone & will go back to them if needed in the future. If you are looking for the best pain free oral surgeon in town then you have come to the right spot. The staff here is awesome, curtious, respectful, and full of laughs. I recently had all my teeth pulled here and when I woke up I wasn't in pain. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. All you need to do is make sure your insurance covers the procedure. If it does then set the appt because this is where you want to be. Dr.Loveless, thank you for a paint free procedure as well as for the staff of a lifetime. Omg! I cannot sing praises of Archway Dental enough!! I originally called to get a quote to get a wisdom tooth and infected molar extracted. They said they’d call back shortly. I was honestly not keeping my hopes up because I had called numerous places that said the same thing and waited for days with no call back. Fast forward 1 hour later, I get a call back with a quote! (On Jan 22) I booked about 2 weeks out (Feb 7th) since they were busy and so was I at my work. As it gets closer to my surgery date, the pain gets exponentially and excruciatingly worse. (Jan 27th) I called to see if they could get me in and also add in my other 3 wisdom teeth (I NEVER want to go through this pain again!) they said they can absolutely add the other teeth but they profusely apologized that there were simply no openings any earlier. I understand and they tell me I’m at on their list to call if another patient reschedules. Two hours later they call to say they have an opening the very next day! Obviously I accept without checking to make sure my shift can be covered at work. Unfortunately, and with tears in my eyes and pain in my jaw/head/face, I can’t get it covered and called them back immediately to cancel and keep the appointment for a week and half later. Then my co-workers come through for me and work out a way to cover my shifts. So I call back and get my appt for the next day scheduled! Everyone who works there was above and beyond kind and accommodating! I spoke with Robin, Stephanie, Tara (or Kara? Sorry!) and Stacy- all were so sweet and happy to help! Dr. Loveless was straight to the point as was his assistant, Kaylee(sp) who was so fun and made me feel so at ease! But they informed me I didn’t even have all 4 wisdom teeth and that there was one that probably did not need to be pulled at all! I was so taken aback since I’m so used to Doctors/dentists taking whatever they can get, so I was so appreciative of his honesty! Everyone there put so at ease too, joking and laughing with me, seriously I would go back for the staff alone! The amazing Dr. Loveless took my teeth and assured upon waking up I was escorted to their patient waiting area for my bf to take me home. They gave me a goody back with plenty of gauze, instructions which they’d already explained to me thoroughly and my teeth!!! (Yes I asked for them, they were pretty gnarly!) One of the best parts?? They give you a container of Ted Drewe’s before you leave!! Just the ice cream (or custard) on the cake to such a wonderful experience!! I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Loveless and the amazing staff at Archway!! I will recommend anytime I get the chance! Thank you so much!!! : )

Unfortunately, I'm one of those "hard stick" people when it comes to getting an IV into my veins, however the staff at the office definitely took care of me. They gave me some laughing gas to relax me when they were trying to get the IV in, and they had me laughing the whole time before the actual procedure. 10/5, I would definitely recommend this office for oral procedures.

Called yesterday afternoon and got an appointment today! Everyone there was super nice, made me comfortable, asked what kind of music I wanted to listen to, kept checking to make sure I was doing fine through the whole procedure and even gave me a Ted Drewes (my choice of flavor) when they sent me on my way. I was extremely happy that I was able to get Nitrous oxide (aka laughing gas) which did help relax me (dental work makes me really nervous). You can have more than 1 tooth done in a visit (I was initially going to have 3 pulled) and you can be knocked out if you bring a driver with you (who will need to be there through the whole visit). No, you can't take an Uber home. The x-ray they do is awesome! You stand there and the machine moves around your head! You don't have to have the slides stuck in your mouth at every angle possible! Love it! I just wish they did root canals. I highly recommended them and just did so to a friend of my sister's who will be calling them Monday morning.

Absolutely love this place. The staff, everyone, literally everyone is so so so friendly. I had to get my wisdom teeth out, and I'm so happy i chose this place. From setting up my appointment, to the procedure and after care, you literally can't get any better customer service. They asked me what kind of music I liked and played it before putting me to sleep (it probably was on during the procedure too, but idk since i was OUT). Afterwards, they treated me gently, provided ice packs and even some local Ted Drewes! They even called me the following week to check in with how I was feeling. Hopefully I don't have to get anymore teeth cut out, but if I do, I most definitely know where I'll be going.

My experience was great. The environment was nice and friendly and the Ted Drews was a nice gesture. However, I gave this establishment 3 stars due to the fact that I was verbally told that I would get part of my fee waived , but later received a bill for the amount. After calling and speaking to Robin about the bill , she stated that they would never just waive a fee. Maybe their staff needs to all be on the same page about their policies and be more efficient on the business aspect of the company. My advice would be to get whatever promise of a “waived fee” in writing!

I got one wisdom tooth out here and it went really smoothly. They gave me insurance quotes so I knew andhow much I'd be paying and they didn't push me to get more than just the one tooth removed. My hygenist (not sure if this is the right title) stayed with me the whole time and really helped out my nerves. They were great and gave me Ted Drewe's afterwards AND let me keep my tooth. Getting out a wisdom tooth isn't fun, but they make it painless.
