Seriously the most empathetic, patient and understanding people I've ever met. I went in with a lot of anxiety, expecting the worst after years of no treatment, only to be met with utter kindness. They let me cry in front of them, gave me every opportunity to slow down or ask questions, and provided no judgement for the state of my mouth. (Luckily for me it wasn't as bad as I thought). They were willing to work around my insurance and space things out so I didn't take too much of a financial burden. They are easily my forever dentists and have changed my perception completely.

As someone with a small mouth, what I appreciate most about Brush Dental is how they are respectful and considerate of my fears about dentistry and how they have accommodated me to make my experience as "unstressful" as possible. As others have mentioned, all of the employees are extremely pleasant and totally professional. Unlike some in the medical professional, Dr. Knudson never talks down to patients and does an excellent job of explaining any issues that arise and offering different treatment options. Today's appointment was a follow-up so that he could check the status of a sore found on my tongue to make certain it wasn't cancerous. Since I hadn't felt anything, I appreciated his watching out for me. Fortunately, the sore's worrisome aspects had improved, so I left with my mind at ease.

The best experience I’ve had at the dentist hands down. You can schedule online which is so convenient and see what times they have available without having to go back & forth with a receptionist, seems minimal until you realize there’s a better way. From 1 appointment they were able to diagnose a whole host of other problems I was having because of the way my mouth and jaw is configured, SO knowledgeable and happy to explain and answer questions. Highly recommend :)

I cannot recommend Brush Dental highly enough! All of the staff members are professional, kind, great to work with, and value everyone's safety. They also provide an option to watch Netflix while you get your teeth cleaned. Drs. Annie and Jeff always take the time to explain what's going on with my teeth and give me options when determining what action to take. They are also honest and never try to make me buy anything unnecessary, which I cannot say about other dentists I've been to. Finally, there is patient-designated parking nearby, which is a gem in the busy U-District. Seriously, Brush Dental is the best!

I have been going to Brush Dental for about 7 years now. Dr. J. Knudson and Dr. A. Knudson are very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and intentional when treating me. I have had very complicated issues come up with my teeth including my front incisors coming out after impact with a softball (not soft at all), which Dr. J. Knudson was able to put back in place enough for me to get orthodontic care from Dr. Bokow. After my orthodontic treatment, I had crown lengthening and whitening done in office. I am extremely happy with the cosmetic results thus far. In addition to my tooth trauma, I was plagued with chronic reflux for years which withered away the enamel on my back molars. I have had great success with the crowns I got placed by Dr. J. Knudson. They and their hygienist are incredibly gentle with my extremely sensitive teeth. While I live in proximity to a few different dentists I don't think I will ever switch! Looking forward to the next steps in my cosmetic work, but that will be another review for another time! So far, extremely happy with my care after 7+ years.

I was terrified of going back to the dentist after having several bad experiences in the past. After my visit today, I feel silly for thinking that. I had a wisdom tooth removed. The process was very fast. The staff were very kind. The fees where much lower than what I thought I was in for. I will be returning for further treatments in the future. I recently went to Brush Dental for general dentistry needs had probably the best dental experience I've ever had! Dr. Annie and Jeff Knudsen were very thorough and spent extra time explaining my x-rays and recommendations in detail after my cleaning was finished. The hygienist was very warm and friendly and made me feel at ease the whole time. Watching "Friends" on Netflix with headphones during my appointment was also a huge plus! Today was my first time visiting this office. I had noticed the sign before and the yelp reviews were good so I thought I'd check it out. I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple of years so there was definitely work to do . . . but the hygienist was friendly, thorough, and as gentle as she could be. The office team did a great job of explaining my teeth to me and giving me a more extensive knowledge about tooth care, cavities, and daily upkeep than I've ever gotten. It was really interesting to know and I definitely felt more knowledgeable after leaving. They're also conservative with their treatments. They won't have you get work done unless you actually need it - which my wallet is thankful for! Overall, I think I've found my dentist. Luckily they're just around the corner from me but I think I'll be coming here long after I move out of the u-district area.

While visiting from out of town i had a filling come out and needed an emergency dentist visit prevent my tooth from chipping. In an out in a little over an hour. I appreciated that the secretary sent me the new patient forms prior to the appointment so I could fill them out at home. The staff was kind, courteous, and helpful. Dr Ann was pleasant, understanding, reasonable, and patient with me, as I described a brief dental history for the relevant tooth, and when I requested she adjust the filling’s bite multiple times until I was satisfied.

Wonderful couple-owned practice on 45th in the U District. The dental care and support staff are top notch and professional in every aspect, and they're just lovely people to boot. My family has been with Brush Dental way before the ownership changed hands, and we'd never consider changing. Really great dentists. I had 4 cavities filled, some on top, some on bottom. They were really great with the numbing process - I didn't feel any of the needles or anything during the procedure. During my regular check-up, the dentist took me through my x-rays and showed me every tooth that had an issue, and took me through how she was going to fix it. On top of that, she came up with a remediation plan for me to follow at home...not just the simple: brush and floss and rinse. Excellent dentistry, and great attention to detail and their patient service. Best dentist I've been to yet!

Love their hours (Mon - Thurs, 7:00am - 5:00pm). Friendly and helpful staff! Loved that the doctor was a consultant and not a salesman. He told me his recommendation with facts and a thorough explanation and gave me a honest timeline of what he suggested with a severity level. Dr. Annie was on maternity leave so I actually saw her husband Dr. Jeff and he told me more helpful information in twenty minutes than I’ve ever gotten from all other dentists combined. I have severe tooth problems and with how grim my last dentist made it sound I had lost hope of affording treatment but he made me feel like I can do it one step at a time. Will definitely return and recommend. Also, they have a tv the pull down in front of you and put whatever you want on Netflix on and headphones the distraction is much appreciated.

Very professional, coupled owned, small private practice. Annie did an incredible job explaining her diagnosis and supporting it with xrays and images. Previously, I had diagnosis for 7 cavities and 3 fillings elsewhere 6 months earlier and I came to Brush for a second opinion. Annie had a different diagnosis that better aligned with a preventative but conservative strategy. She also found right away that 1 of the 3 fillings from the other dental office was done incorrectly. She helped me get a refund from other dental office and reverse the work with my dental insurance. Thanks Annie! I've had some cavities filled with Annie and I can tell the craftsmanship is done really well. She did a great job at making sure I felt comfortable with my teeth and bite and very encouraging to have me come back if any adjustments were needed.

I hate the dentist. Most of my visits involve me writhing and sweating in the chair, and something similar to the scene from the Little Shop of Horrors playing out behind me. However, this was by far the most informative, gentle, and amazing dental appointment I have ever had. I was also astonished that, as a new patient, the dentist performed my entire appointment and cleaning, which she said allowed her to get to know my teeth better. I thought that was incredible that she took the time to do that and really made the appointment personal.

I really like Brush Dental and enjoyed my time there. HOWEVER, I do feel the need to post this. I had my annual checkup and they told me I had 7 cavities. I have never had ONE cavity so this was quite the shock to me. I also told them that I was interested in Invisalign. I never had braces and I have very minor fixes that I would like to be made. They told me that I might not even be a candidate for Invisalign and in total it would cost $15,000 for them to "fix" my teeth. This was very shocking. My teeth were so straight that I was told I didn't need braces all through my childhood - teenage years and now in my mid 20's they are apparently so unfixable that I won't even be a candidate for Invisalign and will need veneers! I decided to get a second opinion on my teeth. I went to another dentist. I did have a cavity...ONE. So small that they didn't even need to numb me and they said I was the ideal candidate for Invisalign. My treatment is a whopping 4 months! I have one month left and I am loving the (very minor) changes and couldn't be happier! I really did like my time as a patient here and always felt like I had great service. However, it did/does feel a little shady to me that suddenly my teeth that had never had any previous problems suddenly were cavity ridden and need a small fortune to "fix."

Investing in your smile can be expensive, but your smile is a long term investment and you can always expect quality work from the professional staff at Brush!

I rarely go to the dentist, but when I do I absolutely love coming here. You have the option to watch Netflix on the most comfortable dental chairs (yes I remembered them)... Making you not even think about what is going on. Before you know it you are done. I have been going to Dr. Jeffrey Knudson since he purchased the practice of my former (retired) dentist, Dr. Terrance Cliney a few years back. I loved Dr. Cliney and was bummed he retired, so Dr. Knudson had to impress me or lose me as a client (I no longer live near their office location and was considering trying to find a new dentist nearer my home). Dr. Knudson impressed me. He not only is as gentle and thorough in cleanings and such as Dr. Cliney was, he is totally up to date on all the latest and newest technology and has invested in quite a bit of it for his office. His entire staff is helpful and friendly, the cleanings are painless and very thorough, he himself is thorough, very knowledgeable, and good at explaining things (be it a cavity or crown, or just a concern about a receding area of one's gums). So far he's replaced old fillings, given me one new filling, and prepped and given me a new crown. Everything has been perfect. I highly recommend him and Brush Dental.

Switching insurance so that you can't go to the dentist you have been with since you were 2 years old is never fun. However, I had no idea what I was missing! One word, Netflix! Before going to Dr. Knudson I thought I would just have to sit there and get my teeth cleaned looking at nothing but the really boring photos on the celling (that never changed). Nope, that was a thing of the past cause I got to watch Orange is the New Black and refresh for the upcoming new season (which I then proceeded to binge watch for three days)! Melanie was awesome and very personable and Dr. Knudson was great too. I was really thankful they fit me into the schedule when there was a bit of tooth pain irritating me the other week. They heard my concerns, took a couple x-rays to ensure they understood what was going on and then suggested a few techniques to resolve the issue. This office is the best and I definitely continue to see them.
