Most calming and validating experience I’ve had at a dentist provider! I generally have extreme anxiety about the dentist; cleaning, fillings, any visit I’ve ever had I’ve struggled to get through. Right away, starting with the correspondence from Dawn when I booked my appointment, I felt more at ease. The provider I saw Chelsea, was reassuring during the appointment. She told me every step of what we were going to do, was gentle and patient and she also provided multiple options moving forward for treatment depending on my level of comfort. She validated my concerns but also left me feeling better about my oral health than I have in a long time. Best experience! I am rescheduled right away to continue our work and looking forward to it. Wonderful office!

I found Maine Dentistry through a Google search, and then double checked with my insurance that they were in network. This is the best dental office I've ever been to! Everyone who works here is extremely nice and communicative! It's easy to see this is a great place to work. It's also very clean here, everywhere. This is also the first dental office I've been to that I feel is really committed to bringing dentistry into the modern world, everyone here is knowledgeable about new facts and breakthroughs in the industry and they are applying it to their work here. They are committed to constant learning and applying it to their practice for the best, and most honest patient experiences possible. Come here. You won't regret it.

I never thought I would look forward to going to the dentist, but I can honestly say I do now!!! Being close to 60 years old and having lived in several states, I have seen at least half a dozen dentists over the years. I couldn’t have been more pleased after finding Maine Dentistry. I have had consistently amazing experiences, each and every visit and now drive close to 2 hours, just to continue my care with the practice. Everyone is so kind, professional and knowledgeable and makes me feel so welcome!!! After being a registered nurse for over 34 years, I know I am in great hands. The office is spotless and all areas are meticulously cleaned. They take special precautions to ensure my safety and comfort. I had a very discolored baby tooth, for as long as I can remember. I was always super conscious of it. During a recent visit, it was brought to my attention, it could be very easily and painlessly elongated and whitened to match the size and color of my surrounding teeth. I wondered why no one else ever mentioned this before, beings I always brought it up, during routine visits, at other dental offices in the past. Clearly, it was something that continued to bother me. Within several minutes time I had a new look for my old baby tooth and felt so much more confident with my new smile!!! So pleased I found them!!! I wouldn’t think about going anywhere else!!!

Having just moved here from out of state, I feel grateful to have found this office. All the staff from the front desk to the dentists themselves are friendly, welcoming and professional. Strong customer service, empathy, and knowledge. I was impressed with their technology and by the overall vibe of the Portland office; happy to have left with no questions unanswered. Unlike all of my other experiences with dentists, I didn’t have to wait for my scheduled appointment and could tell my hygienist Sophany knew how to manage her time while still being very accessible and open to my (many) questions. Dr. Clark is similarly open and efficient, and Dawn and Mackenzie at reception are also so helpful. I’ve already personally recommended MD to my spouse and a friend and can’t see a reason to go to any other dental clinic now.

Eliza was outgoing, professional, articulate and passionate about her job. The technology and fluidness was also streamlined nicely. I like the minimalist approach as far environment and process. Eliza wasn’t pushy regarding services after her assessments but she provided the appropriate insight and recommendations prior to seeing the dentist which is what I’m looking for in both a hygienist and the Doctor. Not everyone can afford every treatment needed for a perfect mouth. :)

Excellent dental practice with a fantastic team! I called the Portland office with a broken front tooth, and Dawn scheduled me the following day; Brian and Dr. Clark rocked at getting me fixed up pain-free. Dr. Clark made me a temporary tooth, and I left with a beautiful smile! Brian also took my x-rays pain-free and did all the work to set me up with invisalign; Dr. Clark will set me up with veneers once I finish invisalign. Thank you all so much!

We were visiting from North Carolina to see our new grandchildren when one of my front teeth broke while biting down on a taco. Since we were going to be in Maine for one more month I started searching for a dentist who could remedy my condition. After calling about five family-suggested providers I found Maine Dentistry, which turned out to be very fortuitous. They couldn’t get me in for about a week but ended up calling me several days early. I explained my predicament and time frame and they reached out to the lab in Utah to make sure they could meet my time constrains. Once assured that they could deliver, they did a prep for my crown and included me in selecting the correct color since this was a front tooth. I am 70 years old and am no stranger to the dental chair. I found all of the folks at Maine Dental extremely competent, professional and most of all very kind through the entire process. I can say with all honesty that they provided me with the best dental experience of my life. If you are looking for a dental practice, then look no further - Maine Dentistry is the best you will find in Portland. I can assure you that you will be extremely happy with the dentists as well as the staff who are very kind and supportive.

Out of the three other Dentist and Dental Hygienist I’ve seen in Maine this place tops all of them. From the time you book your appointment to the time you leave you will be treated with the upmost respect and also treated to one of the best experiences at a dentist you will ever have. I approached Maine Dentistry because I was looking for a second opinion for work I needed to get done because of trauma to my front teeth due to slipping on the ice. I had been calling different dentist offices looking for a consultation and couldn’t find any appointments that were less than a month out - to my pleasant surprise Maine Dentistry made an appointment for me the next day. As soon as I walked in, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief and comfort due to the friendly individuals working at the front desk and the clean and calming environment. I got X-rays and consultations in less than a half-hour. I left feeling so much more confident as Dr. Lawler took the time to explain the X-rays, the damage, and the steps that need to be taken to get fixed. I don’t currently have dental insurance, and I was so grateful that Dr. Lawler went over all the different options I have and gave helpful guidance. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the damage, I will see a specialist; however, I will be returning to Maine Dentistry for any future dental needs.

As a person with a lifelong aversion to dentists I was thrilled when a friend gave a glowing recommendation for Maine Dentistry. When I called to book an appointment for fillings Chelsea was cheerful and accommodating, which is always a great start! Lauren administered the anesthetic and made an unpleasant experience as easy as possible, while being a lovely, joyful presence. Michaela assisted the procedure and was very friendly and observant-- she made sure I remained comfortable and pain-free throughout. Dr. Reilly was attentive and clearly very skilled at his job. All in all I can't recommend Maine Dentistry enough: they are professional, experienced, welcoming, and non-judgmental. What more could you want in a dentist?

Writing this review in the car immediately after leaving my first appointment. My experience could not have been better! I went in with some pain concerns and I got a super detailed assessment along with a cleaning and a plan for the future to keep me on track. Lauren spent 2 hours with me, answering all my questions and addressing my concerns while also being incredibly personable and easy going. The space was super clean with complimentary refreshments and everyone I met was warm and inviting. Also, they have TVs on the ceilings in the exam rooms which I wasn’t expecting but let me tell you, absolute game changer!!!

I followed my all time favorite dental hygienist Chelsea H. to her new office (she's that good) and I was very impressed. The receptionist is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The office was very clean and sanitized. They took my temperature upon coming into the office and had hand sanitizer available everywhere. I felt very safe going into a dental appointment during COVID. Additionally, the dentist I met was very nice and my experience with Chelsea (as always) was a pleasure. She is always so fun to see and does an amazing job. She is very skilled and has an abundance of knowledge and she ALWAYS makes sure you're comfortable! I wrote this review for their primary location, but I feel strongly enough to share it here for their secondary one as well: Before finding this place, I spent a decade being terrified, just *terrified* of going to the dentist. And you know how that can go--the longer you don't go, the more terrified you get, because you figure things are getting worse and worse and it's this terrible feedback loop making it even more frightening and anxiety producing year after year and THEN: I found Maine Dentistry. I found them because I was looking to see if any local dentists specifically saw patients who were scared of dentists. Their language around making sure patients feel seen and heard and comfortable convinced me to give them a shot. I'm so very glad that I did. Since going, I've had a few cleanings and a few fillings. Every time I'm there I feel cared for, I feel engaged with. During potentially painful procedures, I feel heard about my concerns, and to do I haven't felt *any* of the pain during procedures with dentists in the past. Maine Dentistry is special, and we're lucky to have every single person that works there.

I know there are great dentistry’s in and around Portland, and I have came along great experiences with dentists as I have moved around the country...but Maine Dentistry has risen the bar on how welcome one feels in conjunction with the absolute phenomenal professional work (magic) that they do. It’s been a few hours since I had my work done, and I still feel elated by the professional talent and overall amazing experience with everyone at the Portland location. I’m sure it’s not a top choice for us to have to spend time in a dentist chair, but I can say now that when I have to go back to the dentist, I’ll be looking forward to it thanks to Maine Dentistry! Plus, they have tv’s in the ceiling!! So, when you’re not having a great chat with the assistant and the dentist, they can pop on some Netflix so you can tune out your teeth work while tuning in to your favorite shows or movies. Brand new, modern space, coffee and seltzer water refreshments, a live green moss wall (yay, plants!), big screen TVs overhead to watch during your cleanings, the most professional, thorough, and gentle hygienist I’ve ever had my teeth cleaned by, and it’s all conveniently located in the Old Port. If you work downtown, you’d be crazy not to switch your dental care to Maine Dentistry Portland. Imagine walking to your cleaning on your lunch break and not having to take off time for a dentist appointment (although I almost wouldn’t mind taking time off to go there!). Do yourself a favor and try dentistry the way it should be... at Maine Dentistry Portland. Hurry - they even have limited time new patient goody bags with some great swag! You can thank me later!
