It was easy to transfer to Inspire Dental (my longtime dentist doesn’t participate with Medicare). Office is bright and clean, reception staff are friendly and efficient. Shannon, my dental hygienist, was a delight! She put me at ease, reviewed my history, gave me great feedback on the state of my gums and completed the routine cleaning with a gentle touch. Dr Kevin is personable, knowledgeable and inspires confidence. I’m happy to be a new patient at this practice.

I had an excellent experience at my first appointment at this practice. Amanda, the hygienist, was professional, gentle, kind and helpful. I was pretty unhappy at my last provider who made me feel that I was there to be berated for not flossing enough, or was there to buy products they were pushing. Inspire Dental clearly care first and foremost about your oral health. I'll actually look forward to future appointments!

I’ve been going to Inspire Dental for years for all things dental (cleanings, extractions, implants etc.). Dr. Lukis and his team are always thorough, thoughtful, efficient and fun. The space is clean and modern. They use cutting (drilling? :) edge technology. They also play great tunes. If you’re looking for good times and great teeth, check them out.

Twice a year I visit Dr. Lukis and Amanda for 'routine cleanings,' but they are anything but routine. The treatments are rigorous (and importantly: discomfort-free!!) and restorative; I leave the chair 40 minutes later and *love* smiling into my Jeep's rearview mirror on the ride home, where a fresh, gleaming shine shimmers across the top and bottom of my mouth.

So far, so good! Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr. Lukis is great. They were quickly able to identify a fairly big problem and provide me with my options, helping me weigh the pros and cons of each one. The result was a very quick and painless extraction that was scheduled within weeks. The implant procedure went very well, and I look forward to my crown fitting in a couple of months.

I am writing this review for people who may be on the fence about moving forward seeing a dentist. My journey began a few months ago, I went to see a different dental practice that specialized in implants and dentures. After several visits with them they decided I was not a good candidate and could not help me! It took me a few months to get over that and then I found inspire dental of Maine. I thought after reading several of their reviews I would give them a call. That is one of the best calls I ever made! I am sure many people feel the way I do about going to a dentist. Did not want to go, got anxiety even thinking about it. Inspire dental made me feel very comfortable from the first call. I spoke with Shannon the office manager and she was great. She explained everything, took care of all the insurance paperwork so I did not need to stress out about that part. I then came in for a consult with Dr. Lukis, he was great and told me he could help me achieve what I wanted. I then met the denturist, Mark. I could tell that he knew his stuff! He to was great and told me it did not matter how many times I needed to see him for the fit just to be sure I was comfortable and it only took a few times for that to happen. He had lots of great tips and ticks up his sleeve to achieve them being very comfortable. I then went back in for teeth removal with out anesthesia, which I have never done before. He removed 19 teeth, with 3 of them abscessed and painful. He was sure that he numbed my mouth and I felt no pain at all. He was also able to get 6 implants in. He is the best dentist I have ever been to!! I met their assistant on my first day, Janessa, she gets 5 out of 5 starts from me! She is awesome and every visit I went to she always made a point to come talk with me to be sure everything was going good. Always encouraging me every step of the way. I am getting ready for phase two and am excited to see when I get my permanent dentures how good they are going to look and feel. I WANT TO THANK THE TEAM FROM INSPIRE DENTAL OF MAINE FOR GIVING ME MY SMILE AND CONFIDENCE BACK!!

Dr. Kevin Lukas and the entire inspire dental staff have been nothing short of amazing. I arrived to Maine about 4 years ago with SO much work that needed to be done. Not only did Dr. Lukis work with me and made sure we got everything done to fit my financial needs, but he was honest about turning down work scheduled that he felt wasn’t necessary. To top it off I had a dental emergency last night and I called first thing this morning and they were able to get me in within hours. I mean it when I say a real dentist super hero! I couldn’t recommend them anymore.

I use a wheelchair, and Dr. Lukis was great about adapting his process to what I could manage. Staff were kind and helpful as well. The only thing I would suggest is an accessible door button -- they have them on the front of the building, but not for the dental office entrance.

Had my first cleaning with Inspire yesterday. It had been well over a year since my last cleaning because of covid. I was brought back at the scheduled appointment time and was worked on right away. Everyone was super friendly and took their time, my teeth are insanely white and it was a pain free experiment. 10 / 10 I recommend Update Second time was just as good. They fixed a chip in my tooth with a laser too, took like 2 mins. Cleaning was fantastic

Dr Lukis and his team are SO great. I’ve had everything from cleanings and a crown to an implant done at this office and all of the work has been perfect. Also, I don’t care how much the people in his office pick on him, his music choices are excellent. If you’re in need of high quality dental work (or you’re a Gen Xer who just appreciates listening to music of the 80’s and 90’s with a drill and some novocaine in your mouth) this is the place to go.

The best dental experience I have had in a long time! My hygienist is awesome. So gentle, but thorough! My teeth feel great! Best cleaning in town! The front desk is fantastic! My insurance was all set as soon as I walked in and they provided me with an estimate of services before I walked out! They even offered to submit a pre-authorization to my insurance before I scheduled my appointment! My second visit with Dr. Lukis for fillings was so cool. He uses a dental laser and I didn't even have to get numb!! (yes please!!) I would highly recommend Inspire Dental to anyone out there looking for a professional, but fun office!! You can't go wrong here!!

Inspire Dental is the best. Dr. Lukis is an awesome dentist. He always takes the time to answer my many questions. He makes the experience enjoyable and painless. I have many of his crowns that he does all in one visit. They have never given me any problems and are less expensive than that crowns that you have to wait weeks for. His assistant Jenessa is always there with a reassuring smile and is great at what she does. They make a fantastic dental team. Best cleanings (most thorough and conscientious) that I've ever had (with Amanda). Dr. Lukis was happy to take time to explain everything that was going on, so I knew where to set my expectations during an implant process. And the result exceeded my expectations in the end anyway. Jenessa made sure I got the very best match for my tooth color. They are all friendly, great at what they do, and, for me, went out of their way, it seemed, to make sure that I felt good about the end result. And I do! Cathy at the front desk is also awesome. Excellent. I have never visited a dentist office that took the time to remove stains during a cleaning. I assumed of years of coffee abuse evidenced every time I smiled was just one of life’s way of reminding me to keep narcissism in check. I’m glad that the dentist i called before inspire weren’t accepted new patients.

I have had a great experience with all the staff at Inspire Dental in Portland, Maine. I have had an injury to my face when kicked in the jaw years ago. Since then I have visited many dentists and denturists, but nothing compares with the professional staff at Inspire Dental. Just prior to getting an appointment with Inspire Dental to replace some dentures that were causing sore spots I had survived 3 types of skin cancer and one of the cancers caused some needed surgery in my mouth so the old dentures did not fit right anymore. Mark (denturist) worked with me to replace my dentures so a new pare fit beautifully. With the support of the staff of Inspire Dental and Mark's dedication to having the dentures fit properly, it has been a great experience. My thanks to the entire staff at Inspire Dental.
