I was so happily and thankfully surprised by: 1) The friendliness of the staff; 2) Their willingness to accommodate me according to my working hours; 3) The way they do make you feel like you matter; 4) Their sincere and genuine way to address your concerns, regarding treatment, what you can expect from them; 5) Their care in understanding your financial concerns and how to work with you regarding that and lastly, but not least; 5) How specific and honest they are in providing you with detailed information regarding treatment and options to suit your needs. My daughter has already scheduled a visit, my sister will be next and I intend to refer everyone I know to Garden State Dental. Thank you for practicing dentistry with human care and honesty. Oh and l can't forget to mention how much of a good and friendly professional my dentist, Dr. Marc, has been. He's always in a happy good mood, smiling and welcoming. Also, he's got this like "feather light" hands ever! I barely feel that work is being done. And their prices are absolutely really fair! God bless them for all they provide!

Dr Yang is fantastic! After informing her I had severe anxiety she was so caring and wonderful with me! She broke down all my treatment and thoroughly explained every process and was constantly reassuring. She was patient, listened and addressed all of my concerns. The extra time and patience needed to work with someone with anxiety isn’t always easy to come by and she was just incredible! The amount of attention and care and explaining every step and process during my procedure helped ease my dental anxieties and she made it a great dental experience! I will be sure to return and continue all of my future dental needs with her

I always receive wonderful service and good care here. I have my appointment in the mornings, and last time I went for a cleaning I was in and out in 30 minutes (with healthy, cared for teeth… point is, they just never leave me waiting!) The doctor is also very caring. Highly recommend!

Let me begin by saying, I am a root canal 🦷 expert when it comes to the pain and the dental visits… I have 7 root canals, and 3 implants… not even going into the infections etc… I’ve sat in Spa dental chairs on Madison ave in nyc, and even had a robot performing a root canal, but since the pandemic and my insurance changing I’ve had to find a new dentist…and my insurance recommended this office in Newark. From the moment I walked in, they were a little delayed, but nothing major, the receptionists were helpful, kind and the doctor - wow really the top of the pyramid - when it comes to root canals! He was gentle, vocal throughout the procedure and just really a pleasant experience overall! His assistant was also amazing. This is a great office, great vibe, seamless procedure and I am def coming back 💯 Thank you!

I’ve been here before . Great dentist and I love coming here . However, the young lady at the front desk it horrible . She called me yesterday to confirm an appointment for 6:20 . And I agreed . I was 10 minutes late because their was traffic since a movie was being filmed. She was passive aggressive and very disrespectful. Honestly she’s very lucky I did not make a scene . First of all the women at the desk Marye & Marilyn are GLADIATORS! at first I had an issue with find my coverage and they battled to figure it out my coverage and inform me on it. From the front desk to the dentist chair they have turned what I once considered a dreaded necessity of life into a pleasurable experience. Garden State Dental is really quick and have great doctors, hygienists, assistants and receptionists. The only reason I gave them 4 stars as opposed to 5 is because one time I drove 45 mins to have wisdom tooth surgery and they told me the surgeon had to cancel. But I wasn't notified prior to driving all the way there. I'm sure it was a one time emergency type of situation but I was still reasonably upset. Other than that every other experience has been 5 star. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I'm sure I don't speak for myself when I say going to the dentist can be frightening and looking for a good one can be pretty stressful. I must say I'm very pleased to have found this office. The staff are very welcoming and friendly from receptionist to surgeon. I was a little nervous to have work done there not knowing what to expect but after visiting for a few weeks I'm so glad I found a good dentist I can call home. I highly recommend garden state dental of ferry street. Dr. Bedoya does a great job with fillings and his technique with the needle is flawless so much so tht I was surprised when he was done because I didn't feel anything but a little pressure. It's a shame I can't remember the name of the dentist tht cleaned my teeth but she does an amazing job. You can tell she does not go to work just to collect a check. She doesn't rush through the cleaning , she is honest , She is knowledgeable, She is genuinely caring, She is an expert and it shows in her work. I now look forward to going to the dentist all cause of the great experience I had here

Let's start off with calling to make an appointment as I saw on their website that they were accepting patients for emergency situations. Due to endless sleep and a excruciating pain, I called this place. Immediately, Mayre answered the call and she sounded so professional and positive. She quickly made an appointment for me and took my insurance information. She was cheerful and even made a fun little joke. It made me feel less nervous to go to the dentist. I showed up about 20 minutes earlier, and Mayre greeted me by my name and was so welcoming. They immediately took me in for my X-ray and informed me that I was the only patient in the facility, to mandate safety precautions due to COVID-19. I really thought that was very professional and thoughtful of everyone's safety. As a flight attendant I respected how they took initiative to ensure everyone was safe. Dr. Watkinson is such a darling dentist. He came in and heard my frustration about a bad experience I had that led me to this situation. I was extremely sensitive and anxious about the procedure. He assured me and made me feel comfortable that he was going to help me. Once they told me what the procedure would entail, that is when Mayre came in and informed me about the finances. They were very accommodating about my payment options. Throughout the procedure Dr.Watkinson, was sensitive to my movements and he could tell just by the way I would squirm a little bit or even the way I looked at him that I was slightly uncomfortable. He would ask me throughout my fidgeting if I needed something, or should he stop. He made sure I didn't feel A THING. I felt his comfort so much, that I was able to close my eyes and allow him to finish. Overall, it was so positive and comforting. And I thank them for putting their lives at risk to make me and their patients feel better at this crisis time. DR.Watkinson and his team are true heroes.

About a year ago I had an accident which fractured my front teeth. I got my crowns done here several months ago, and I am really satisfied with the dental service. The crowns are fitted perfectly, have no issues whatsoever, and looks like real teeth to be honest. I highly recommend Garden State Dental.

Great customer service. The doctors are super professional but they also make sure that you are always comfortable. It’s very well scheduled so you’ll never wait more than 10-15 minutes to be seen. And the front desk staff in particular are excellent and extra helpful. Always can give you a better spot if you need it.

Overall great experience. I went in petrified and in agonizing pain. The receptionists at the front desk, the tech doing the X-ray, the assistant and Dr. Freeman are amazing. They made a treatment plan and walked me through everything assuring me everything would be fine. I got a root canal and going back in a week for a follow up and more work in the future. Amazing practice and Dr. Thank you for patching me up and making me not fear the dentist. *********Edit********** The second visit I was hit with $600 in charges... maybe that’s my anxiety with dental work. Really bad communication at the front desk. I did not get a treatment report nor did they explain they would be charging 2100 per tooth to the insurance company. They did not break down that a root canal with insurance would cost $1000 out of pocket. When I told her I asked in advance if my follow up visit I would have to pay anything she said no I never asked that she then said my partner and I were lying... I was shocked that instead of smiling and trying to fix the problem she said it was my fault and tried making every excuse instead of saying I’m sorry you are right... very combative when you point this out. It’s funny how they expect you to pay and fight with you and call you a liar... I did talk to the manager who was much more professional and apologized for her behavior and set up a payment plan.

However, the staff at Garden State Dental was very helpful and understanding about the situation and did their best to squeeze me into the already packed schedule. 5-star experience with most of the staff and Dr. Maldenando here. Frankie, who took my x-rays, was very courteous and considerate which made it such a pleasant interaction. Dr. Maldenando was simply great with taking my questions unhurriedly and walking me through my x-rays. It was absolutely reassuring to have the doc give his whole attention without rushing me out of the place, going into as much detail as I wanted. The only fly in the ointment (if worth a mention) was the lady at the front desk that sent one or two patients who arrived later before me, with the excuse that I was assigned to a different doctor, when questioned about it. Nevertheless, I had a 5-star visit to this place.
