Hands down the second best dentist I have been to (first is my hometown dentist I been for majority of my life back in WA State) in my life! But, THE best dentist I have been to while living in NYC. This was my first visit to this office and I was amazed on how beautiful, warm, and welcoming this office space and staff were. From start (front desk staff), middle (dental assistant and dental hygienist) to finish (Dr. Newman), everything was done so efficiently. The dental hygienist, Jen, made sure I was relaxed, comfortable, and informed me on steps that were being taken during the cleaning. I also appreciated the front desk staff's ability and willingness to take the time to explain the treatment plan and costs associated with my next scheduled appointment so that I would not be caught by surprise. I also appreciate that the they had me submit new patient forms prior to appointment and there was no need to re-submit forms or insurance upon arrival. It made for a smooth process. Thank you all for an excellent appointment. I appreciate your services immensely!

I cannot say enough good things about Sky Dental. We've been patients for almost 4 years now. My son is 6 and has been going to Dr. Jackie since he was 3 and often asks if we can go visit Dr. Jackie! We actually followed Dr. Jackie here from another practice that we were not very happy with and immediately transferred our own dental care as well once we met the office staff and the doctors. Dr. Rhieu is knowledgeable, patient, takes time to explain procedures and answers questions in detail. The office staff could not be any more professional, nice and accommodating. The practice has grown a lot since we joined, but that personal touch is still there. Everyone knows our name and always has a smile for us. We always get a call back or email reply to our questions within minutes. They also always review and email the cost of any recommended procedure and my copay and insurance information with me ahead of time which is extremely helpful. The clinic and waiting area are spotless, inviting, comfortable and have more of a spa feel than a medical office. I used to dread going to the dentist and now I really look forward to my visits. Cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

I have too many nice things about my first experience at Sky Dental! The entire front desk staff was lovely and extremely helpful with scheduling despite my busy schedule. During my actual appointment, I felt heard and cared for by their efforts to provide solutions for my concerns that worked for me. The whole team at Sky Dental is beyond amazing! From the start, I felt comfortable and at ease. While I was getting my teeth screened and cleaned, the dental team made sure to explain all the processes to me and were extremely gentle. They were also so upfront about the prices with my insurance!

The staff were so nice and considerate. The office was clean, everyone was wearing masks (they give you one as well). The hygienist was wonderful as was the dentist. I can't recommend this place enough to those who don't like going to the dentist. They make you feel comfortable, explain everything very clearly, and also make sure you know exactly what is covered with your insurance so that you aren't caught getting something you have to pay out of pocket for.

After cracking a tooth, I was able to get a same-day appointment with Dr. Newman. I was seen right away, had some x-rays taken and the options were explained in detail—including the costs. He even looked up my insurance details right there in front of me. After getting a temporary fix, checking out, and making my followup appointments, I was shocked to see only 30 minutes had passed. The appointment wasn’t rushed, just efficient. Everyone at Sky is super-friendly and helpful. If you have dentist anxiety, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Sky Dental delivers an incredible experience. I think so highly of this office that when I took a job in California, I ensured my dental insurance would cover Dr. Newman so I could continue my care here. The office staff makes you feel totally at home, and I never feel pressured when making decisions about my dental care. Dr. Newman provides every available and safe option and helps you figure out what is best for you. The hygienists are all excellent and highly skilled- I worked with Colleen yesterday, and I was literally sad I had to leave after my cleaning. I am so pleased with this office, I cannot recommend it enough, and I look forward to continuing my care here.

This is probably the best dentist office I've been to ever! I've just recently moved from the UK and going to the dentist over there is quite a different experience from my visit to Sky Dental. Everyone was friendly and courteous, I got a good clean and it wasn't as uncomfortable as I usually expect it to be. I'm very happy I found this practice. It's clean, beautiful and comfortable! I had the BEST experience from start to finish with my dental appointment today! The staff is so wonderful and sweet. The View is INCREDIBLE right from your seat! Dr Rhieu is very thorough and with her examination and my hygienist Christina was very gentle with my cleaning. My teeth feel GREAT! I will definitely be coming back to Sky Dental!

They are kind and reassuring but really good and explain everything with such care and in such detail. And the front office staff is exceptional! Had an excellent experience at Sky Dental and Sky Dental Kids. The entire staff was friendly and professional. They made my son (5) very comfortable and excited about coming back for his next appointment. The team is also up front about what insurance covers and any co-pays as well, which I appreciate so there's no surprises after the fact. The office itself is all modern, had great natural light and views of Trinity Church. The kid's side had a Pac-Man machine in the lobby and "the best" toy chest, according to my son. Sky Dental was awesome. Yesterday was my first time after my roommate had referred me, and I'm so glad that she did. Lovely reception staff who were so patient with answering my questions, great view, and such a clean/aesthetic facility. I've never had such a thorough cleaning and examination - it was my first time getting such great treatment with advanced technology, and my hygienist Colleen & Dr. Wang were really informative about my next steps to take. My roommate is happy that she gets a $50 credit since she referred me!

GO HERE. I had my first appointment at Sky Dental and I only have good things to say. I came in with an urgent dental issue after breaking a tooth, and throughout the entire process the team was nothing but helpful. The offices are not only beautiful, but extremely clean and organized. Their systems are efficient and everything feels like a genuinely well-oiled machine. Going into my appointment I shared that I have severe dental anxiety, and both Dr. Newman and my hygienist made sure to be transparent about every step and they checked in on me regularly. Dr. Newman was only positive and never once made me feel bad about my teeth. I felt more comfortable in one visit than I did my entire life. The second I left the office I recommended Sky Dental to every person I know living in NYC. This place is seriously the epitome of WOW service.

Dr. Rhieu and the amazing staff at Sky Dental were all incredibly friendly, accommodating and made sure I was comfortable in every way. As soon as I sat in the chair, I was even offered a comfort menu of several options to choose from. It felt like I was in a luxury spa, except you're at a dental office! I especially liked that they explained everything they were doing to provide transparency and reassurance. My visit was great! There was an unexpected emergency that delayed the doctor from doing my fillings right away, but they made sure I was comfortable while waiting. Once the doctor came in she was apologetic and made sure my fillings were completed quickly and efficiently. As a new patient scheduled for regular checkup/cleaning but with a loose old filling, Dr Newman was able to prioritize fixing the filling over the cleaning (normally I would be told to make another appointment to fix the filling). Then, I was pleasantly surprised the office have availability to do the cleaning as well, with only 5 min wait in between! (Thank you Danny!) Very nice office and spot on scheduling. It was my first visit at sky dental. There is almost no wait time, so be prepared to show up on time. The staffs are nice and professional. Be aware it’s definitely on the high end side for the price. They will recommend extra products and procedures, but you can take those down easily if you don’t want to.

I have a strong aversion to the dentist (for no particular reason), so I was very happy to find Sky Dental. They seem to specialize in patient comfort, from the waiting room to the dental chair. Every single person I encountered was patient, helpful and kind, not so common in NYC medical offices. I didn’t wait long to be seen, and I wasn’t rushed through. Dr. Newman took the time to tell me everything he was going to do before he did it, thoroughly explained my treatment options, and patiently answered my questions. He was immediately able to refer me to a specialist in my insurance network (he knew my insurance provider without having to ask me), saving me the time and trouble of searching around myself. The visit was so low-anxiety that I referred a colleague before I was even off the block. If, like me, you have to force yourself to make dental appointments and then immediately hope for a legitimate enough excuse to cancel, I suggest you try Sky Dental. It was a very gentle experience. For me to write glowingly about a dentist office is unprecedented. I plan to return.

I went to SkyDental for a routine checkup. It was my first time in the dentist in the USA (recently moved to NYC from Europe), so I wasn't really sure of how insurance and payments work. They were super clear from the beginning about what I would be paying and what was included with my insurance. The checkup itself was smooth and they spent quite some time with me explaining the X-Rays results and what was suggested as a follow up treatment. I few days later I got a cavity covered by Dr. Ross Newman and the whole process was quick, smooth and painless. Highly recommended!

When I walked in, I was greeted by professional receptionists, they were amazing. I came in on time for my appointment and in less than 5 minutes of being there I got called in. Dr. Lopez walked me through all of the screenings and procedures he was going to give me before starting and after he explained what preventative measures I needed to take for my teeth. Before leaving they spoke about pricing from there I was off. This was one of the most professional dentist appointments I've experienced.

I went here for an emergency broken tooth and was so relieved to have found it. I am a newly disabled person and it is very hard for me to walk, see, and speak. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and the office itself was easy to navigate for me. There are elevators and level floors. The entrance to the building itself has about ten stairs with a railing and a rotating door. I can't remember how it works for wheelchair users. I think there was a lift at the entrance. There is a 200 foot long walk from security to the elevators and about 50 feet from elevators to the office. The bathroom is on the same floor as the office, just down the hall. It is two multi-stall M/W. They do use some scented things in the office that would be really tough for folks who are sensitive to cologne type smells. The staff would put down the blinds for me when I'd come in the door because it tends to help. I didn't even ask for this, they just wanted to help! They had very clear, transparent communication about pricing and processes around the tooth, and made sure that I followed up with other more regular visits. I would actually look forward to coming here. I really appreciated the blankets and TV during visits. As of spring 2021, they check temperatures and wear masks. They have air ventilation, but it is close quarters. I don't know what their testing policy is for staff, but I didn't catch anything in the many weeks I was in and out of the office. If they took medicaid, I'd still be an enthusiastic patient! I would highly recommend Sky Dental.

Start to finish, this is the pinnacle of the dental experience. It truly can't get any better. Check-in was quick, wait time was essentially minutes at most (I had just enough time to finish the complimentary bottle of water), and the staff is incredible. Special shoutout to Colleen who is so nice and walked me through everything about my teeth from top to bottom (literally!). And Dr. Newman was amazing as well. Never though I'd say this about a dentist, but I can't wait to go back!

It was super easy to book an appointment, and after walking in I was pleasantly greeted to a spotless practice with a modern, luxury feel. The reception staff were welcoming and advised I would be taken straight in to see Dr Neysha Patel. Dr Patel was extremely kind, knowlegeable and patient as she explained the issues I was having and pointed to the problem areas in the X-rays, immediately putting me at ease as she relieved the pain i was experiencing. She advised I would require some extractions, and put in a referral to the oral surgeon, with a follow up appointment scheduled shortly after. Overall, it was a great experience at Sky Dental, and I would highly recommend Dr Patel and her team to anyone looking for a great dentist in the city!

Awesome experience! Was able to get in for an emergency visit super quickly and the staff is SOOOO professional. Office space is built with the patient in mind. They have a whole list of things they can provide (blanket, headphone, netflix, etc) if you’re the kind of person who gets nervous about going to the dentist. Excellent practice! My wife recommended this place to me. Went for annual cleaning. Took an appointment and had no wait time when I reached. Checkup, X-rays, 3D scans etc started immediately. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with latest tech. Cleaning didn’t hurt at all which was a great relief - they took extra care and numbed the sensitive areas. Totally recommend this place.

This is a very high end office. If your insurance doesn’t cover full, don’t go over there. They ask you to make the deposit before the visit. If you decide not going there and cancel the appointment, you will receive your refund 3 weeks later, because they do it by check. Anything above $50 cannot go back to your credit card. According to their front desk manager most people don’t think this is issue, but I do. They refused to refund me by the original portal, I used my HSA benefits card, there is no way I can put that money back by check. They keep told me this is their policy and refused to refund me directly. Very ridiculous and bad experience before the visit. (They send me refund by Zelle after received a unsigned check, I will much appreciate if they have this 3 week ago. Please tell I am not the only person who ask refund)

Like most people I get pretty nervous when I go to the dentist, but my time at Sky Dental was very positive. The staff were very friendly and offered amenities like a blanket, Netflix, lip moisturizer, etc. Besides that, the office had great views and a nice modern atmosphere. Dr. Newman was really friendly and encouraged me to ask any questions I had. He made the process painless and I felt very comfortable during the procedure. End of November Appointment Dental cleaning + Invisalign second check! Another appointment that went very well! Colleen did my cleaning, she was very thorough and nice and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Newman checked how my Invisalign was going: extremely nice, and also made me feel very comfortable. Everything went well and they already scheduled my next appointments (I should be done in advance with Invisalign which was an amazing news!). Going to dentist is not usually fun, but everybody is so nice and professional here that the time goes by fast and I always feel super taken care of! October Appointment Invisalign first check! The appointment was pretty quick and Dr Rhieu reassured me everything is going well! She was also able to fit my next follow up together with my upcoming dental cleaning, which is incredibly convenient!! Fanny was very nice, and the front desk always a pleasure to talk to! Second July Appointment: I scheduled this appointment with an Invisalign worry. The appointment was arranged very quickly; The front desk constantly works with my insurance to make sure I don't pay more than I should, and I really appreciate this! Dr. Rhieu has been super nice and helpful, as usual, and she addressed all of my doubts and worries so that I feel much more confident now. Couldn't be more satisfied!! July: Went back to start Invisalign treatment (attachments, trays, etc.) Everybody made me feel very comfortable and was very helpful and patient in answering all my questions. Ines was really nice and, as I had some discomfort, found another way that was more comfortable for me to put the attachments on. Dr Rhieu has been very nice as usual, she made me feel very comfortable and, as I flagged that something was a bit painful for me, changed the pace so that I could avoid feeling pain :). Despite my doubts on starting Invisalign as it is a long path, I feel like I am in good hands and in the right place to start this adventure June: I had my records taking appointment to start Invisalign. Always really nice to come here. Everyone was nice and helpful, the doctor took her time to answer my questions, reassured me about my doubts. Excited and worried at the same time about starting Invisalign, but feeling in good hands with Skydental and Dr Rhieu, and that is really important when you take a big step! May: Came back for my cleaning + exam and as usual I was really satisfied. Everybody was nice and made me very comfortable. The cleaning wasn't painful and the doctor discussed my doubts and dental health situation with me with extreme care. I 100% recommend this place! March: Visited this place again for a chipped tooth. Everybody was nice and helpful. Dr. Rhieu fixed my tooth very quickly and with no pain. She was also very detailed in explaining what she was doing, she addressed other concerns of mine regarding Invisalign even if it was not the scope of this appointment. She was very transparent and direct about the costs of the procedures, so that I could take an informed decision before proceeding, which I really appreciated. Previous review: Everybody was really nice and helpful, they took their time to guide me through Invisalign and the possible outcome . Everything was thoroughly explained including costs. They give me all the elements to make an informed decision without any pressure. Would definitely recommend!

I have been going to sky dental for 2 years now. I see Dr. Ross Newman. First let me start off by the front desk staff. They are very humble and helpful. They got my insurance details and always provide me treatment cost estimate I might have to pay well in advance and most times it has been accurate upto the dollar amount! They are OPEN on SATURDAYS, which is extremely helpful for me. Dr. Newman is very knowledgeable, has soft and skilled hands and is very pleasant. He has never tried to push any unnecessary treatments and rather feel like he has given me the most genuine advice on dental care. All the dental hygienists have been great as well. If you show up on time then you don't have wait for long and are taken care of on time! Their office has expanded since I have been going there and I absolutely see why; they are great and I highly recommend them!

Whenever I get a cleaning they are gentle and make sure to check on me throughout which is very comforting. Had the BEST experience at SkyDental with Dr. Newman! I had scheduled an appointment to have my wisdom tooth looked at, and Dr. Newman was immediately able to help me figure out what was causing the discomfort and suggested I have my tooth removed then and there - while I was a bit nervous (never had oral surgery) the entire staff made me feel comfortable and walked me through the entire process. Within 10 minutes my wisdom tooth was removed, with absolutely no pain at all! So happy I decided to go with SkyDental - the office is beautiful, clean, etc and the staff is so friendly and helpful! Update: Been going to Sky Dental now for about 1.5 years and coming from a guy who was no stranger to the dentist (routine visits 3x/year), I can confident say this has been the best dental office I've ever visited. In addition to what I noted below, I've come to realize -- after electing for other services (e.g., invisalign, in-office whitening, etc.) -- that they really care about their patients and won't stop until you're completely satisfied. They treat your teeth like it is their own and I had no doubt they were accounting for every detail. Thank you, Dr. Newman and staff, for everything! The staff was friendly and accommodating whenever it came to scheduling and working around my availability. The hygienist was thorough and informative when it came to my routine cleaning. And the doctor was very patient in answering any questions I had when it came to additional work I wanted done. If you're looking for a dentist in the area, I would highly recommend this office.

They were able to get me an appointment on the same day due to an emergency, which is rare. Upon entering the office, I was impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the office. The front desk staff was superb and I received the customer service expected from a professional and caring medical entity. I did not have to wait to be seen and everything after that was superb to include the rinsing of my mouth with hydrogen peroxide and water before being seen. The doctor was awesome and I explained my issue and after x-rays, he explained everything to me in detail and how I will feel better soon. They even put on Netflix while the doctor was addressing my issue. Overall, my experience was great and I highly recommend Sky Dental for your dental needs. I am in search of a new dentist office and even though they are out of Network which could be costly, I am considering returning for my dental needs when my plan changes especially since its right across the street from my job.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Newman at Sky Dental for the past year and a half and I have nothing but great things to say about him and the entire Sky Dental staff! I had to have some dental surgery over last year and they were so gentle, attentive, and talked me through the entire process. I've been going here for years and have always had a pleasant experience. Dr. Rhieu is very professional and competent. The office has grown quite a bit since my first visit but only for the better. They've clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the space as it's private, comfortable, and very clean. The visit is probably the most efficient office visit. They check you in and it's always less than a 5 min wait, then the appointment is smooth sailing. I also really like their online portal for patient records; as I can see my billing, procedures, and x-rays. Yes, they will ask you about other services or devices i.e. Invisalign, mouth guard, teeth whitening, etc I've never felt pressure to purchase, once I say I'm not interested she just asks to let her know if I change my mind. I do like knowing that the options are there if I wanted. I recommend going to Dr. Rhieu!

They’re also really accommodating in terms of your time; when I went in for my first cleaning there, they found two cavities and were able to fill them for me right then and there! It saved me another trip and I really appreciated that. It had been a few years since I’d been to a dentist so my teeth weren’t in great shape, but they told me exactly what to do (get an electric toothbrush, floss *correctly*, and get a night guard - I didn’t even know that I grind my teeth at night!) and after this last visit, my teeth are MUCH better. I also want to note that Dr. Rhieu is especially wonderful. She’s so bubbly, personable, and professional. I highly recommend Sky Dental!

Another great session at Sky Dental. Just a routine cleaning, but I learned a lot about the history of oral hygiene. Did you know that the ancient Egyptians used a sort of paste made from crushed sea shells to clean their teeth? And that the human tongue never stops growing? It is such a relief when you are able to find good care, of any kind, in this city. I have only been twice so far but I love this place! I went to Sky Dental after neglecting my teeth throughout the pandemic and learned on my initial visit that there were several problems that demanded attention, ranging from cavities to shifting teeth. However, over the course of my four subsequent visits to resolve said issues, I found myself grateful to be have been under Dr. Rhieu and her team's care and could not have imagined going through the process elsewhere. Firstly, Dr. Rhieu deeply respects her patients. For every step and procedure, Dr. Rhieu would explain exactly what it was that she was doing and why. In an age where the patient-provider experience is constantly being compromised by insurance policies and poor telehealth, I was almost taken aback by how must I could trust Dr. Rhieu's guidance. Moreover, the team went out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. As soon as I was seated, I was handed a "comfort menu" with different options, ranging from "fleece blanket" to "Netflix entertainment" (I settled for just the blanket). Little gestures like that, combined with the hospitality I generally received, really made my visits much more manageable. There's plenty more things I could list, but all in all, I was just really impressed by the seamless quality of care I got from Sky Dental. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

I always get very nervous before going to see the Dentist and Dr. Newman and his staff are very welcoming. Great dentist's office! Really clean and trendy inside, and I loved the music they were playing. They give you a fun little menu of things of things you can select for your visit, like a blanket, watching Netflix, lip moisturizer, etc. The views are also gorgeous out the window while you're having your appointment. I’ve been with Sky Dental for 2-3 years now. Dr.Rhieu and the Sky Dental team have been an absolute dream team to work with me and treating my bruxism. Along with our biannual check ups, making appointments is a breeze with their great front desk team. Their hygienists are attentive and are never “rough” with cleanings. One stand out visit was when I had to get a procedure done and the hygienist explained what causes the issue, what the procedure will be, and also provided preventive care tips. Where do I even start?! I had a serious fear of dentists because of past experiences and I’m so blessed to have discovered Sky Dental. Seriously, if you haven’t already... CALL THEM AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! The first appointment consisted of x-rays and a really good cleaning. They explained to me I would be needing a lot of work because of how long it had been since my last dental appointment and they were going to correct a botched job that I had done at another office prior. Dr. Newman took care of me. I went in for a check up and had a filling to be done, and Dr.Newman did the filling and I literally felt NO pain and NO discomfort. It had been a while since my last cleaning, so I figured I'd try a new practice, and I chose Sky Dental because they had noticeably more and better reviews. After visiting, I see why. It's like the practice has asked itself, what can we do to maximize client satisfaction? OK, let's make sure to do that. It comes across in all sorts of ways, and in fact it's fun to look around and notice them. It's trivial, but has anyone noticed that beneath its normal attractive veneer, their front desk is a battle station? OK, some real observations ... Pre-visit, they stayed in touch and had me fill out all paperwork in advance. Once I arrived, the wait time was very short. Once the tech was done with my x-rays, the doctor arrived right away. Dr Rhieu and staff were very warm, attentive, and gentle. Dr Rhieu explained things clearly but was not insistent. For instance, now I finally know why it matters that I have my impacted wisdom tooth pulled. I could go on, but I don't want to spoil the fun and reveal all the secrets of their 5-star experience. I did wait for a while since my first visit before posting my review. Skeptical at first - perhaps, waiting to see results - maybe, or simply just procrastinated - most likely... Since the very beginning from my very first call everyone at sky dental were super attentive, helpful, and always willing to help. From scheduling and rescheduling appointments, handling payments and paperwork alike, to answering any type of questions you may have during your treatment. I found Sky Dental while researching about Invisalign and looking for a place in lower Manhattan that was a qualified provider. I couldn't be any luckier. I had my first consultation with Dr. Newman, he was super thorough on his explanations of the entire process and made sure that I didn't leave the office without all my questions answered. As a matter of fact, the same behavior holds true for the next 3 months during my treatment. His last comment, always: "Is there anything else that I can elaborate or explain further or any other question from you that I can answer?" The 3 months while doing the Invisalign treatment were just a breeze, if you stick with it, it works - and it works well. I went through 14 aligners with a few check-ins throughout, all the way to the end. We finished on time, as promised, and with the expected quality that conforms with everything I was hoping for. Now that my Invisalign treatment is over I am looking forward to continue going to Sky Dental for my general dentistry needs for many more years to come.

Not only is she a great dentist, but she runs her business extremely well. All the costs were laid out clearly for me from the beginning and I knew exactly what to expect. Everyone in the office is so nice and pleasant and I feel confident I'm getting the best dental care here. -- I've been to Sky Dental twice so far (for a cleaning and crown work), and my experience both times has been fantastic. The office is clean with new/updated equipment and staff are taking good precautions to diminish the risk of covid (masks, shields, scheduling, open windows). Everyone from office staff to hygienist is super friendly and professional. I also found them to be very thorough - the front desk was prepared with insurance estimates and x-rays were more extensive than other dental practices. Dr. Rhieu is an amazing dentist and I felt really comfortable under her care. She takes the time to address concerns, answer questions, and talk you through recommendations without being pushy. This place is amazing! Not only did they clean my teeth but it turns out I need a nightguard and they went ahead and did the molds for those all in the same appointment. They also noticed one of my front teeth was chipped and offered to smooth it down really quickly for free. I had been going to another dentist for years who never once brought it up or mentioned that they could fix it for me. Everything was so efficient, they operate like a well-oiled machine but they're also super friendly and helpful at the same time. They spend a lot of time with you to make sure everything is taken care of. Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic first appointment for our 2.5 year old son with Dr. Jackie. This place is such a pro when dealing with kids and I’m soooooo grateful for the smooth and thoughtful first experience! Amazing dental office. Everyone is so warm and friendly, customer service is great and as someone who has had bad dental experiences in the past, this place is gentle but gets the job done. They do everything they can to make you comfortable. I really hate the dentist equipment sounds so I always wear noise canceling headphones and it makes it so much easier on me. They have netflix and blankets, simple things to add but makes the whole process a lot less stressful. Very safe with covid precautions and they are always transparent with pricing before you commit to a procedure. They also do appointments reminders and send you an ical event link so it goes right to your phone!

I'm new to this dentist office and it has been bar far the best I've ever used. The equipment is new, the facility is clean, they offer a bunch of random amenities, the staff/doctors ares very nice and responsive, but most importantly they have done great reliable dental work! I went for a second opinion for a root canal which was deemed "absolutely necessary" by the first doctor, and Dr. Newman did all he could to save the tooth with a filling which was successful and saved me a lot of money. He could have easily went in with the chance to save the tooth and reverted to a root canal just for more business and I would have no way of knowing. I'm glad I found a trustworthy dentistry with an awesome workforce!

Trendy - hip & definitely a very clean dental office in downtown NYC. After I arrived and checked in, I wasn't kept waiting more than 2-3 minutes. Came in for composite resin bonding done to help exposed enamel near gums. Office is very clean and modern. They take Covid precautions very seriously which is a good thing. Mouth rinse with peroxide, windows slightly opened, temperature check, etc. Update: My next appointment was good; went for a regular cleaning. Friendly staff and helpful hygienist. I don't mind doing dental work, as long as it is absolutely necessary.

I absolutely hate the dentist but have had an awesome experience with sky dental. I would avoid the dentist because of how judgmental dentists tend to be, but I don’t feel that from any of the staff here. I will definitely be returning for future care. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the following: They have a root canal specialist come in once a month, which is already pretty infrequent. Given my great experience with Sky, though, I made an appointment with this person anyway, but it turned out they aren’t covered with my insurance. It’s already kind of annoying to have that mismatch in what insurances are accepted, but the more annoying part is this wasn’t flagged to me sooner. During my phone call to review payment, it took a lot of prying on why it was so expensive for them to clearly state that this wouldn’t be covered by insurance. Isn’t that something that you *lead* a conversation about payment with? Like I said, otherwise pretty lovely expense, but the root canal insurance issue very much felt like they were just trying to get me to see their affiliated person - even if it would be way more expensive for me, which is obviously not very patient first.

What all the reviews said are true, nice place, high technology, the wait in the LOBBY wasnt long, nice people, very comforting. The problem I have is that these people are a little unorganized. They was rushing to get me out so after I finished getting my wisdom tooth pulled out they didn’t give me any instructions on how to take care of the hole that was left in my mouth. And you probably like why I didn’t ask… I was shook and scared cuz they ain’t put me to sleep and I just felt my tooth leave my mouth lol so I couldn’t think properly. Then I thought I was done. The primary dentist forgot to give me a final exam. So I had to go back inside and she told me I got a cavity. Mind you the lady that did my cleaning before my tooth was pulled didn’t say anything to me about a damn cavity. And this dentist didn’t even spend 1 min looking at my teeth. My appointment was at 11 I got there around 10:40 didn’t leave untill 1:30 and most of that time was waiting watching Hulu on there tv. That was one cool thing. Honestly the place was nice but I personally wouldn’t be going back.

I've been in NYC for 10 years and finally have found my dentist. Every team member I encounter is warm and pleasant. I appreciate the appointments they have available late in the day so I don't have to take a weekend day or lose a chunk of my work day. I've had Carlos (Hygienist) and Maria (Assistant), and they were both so sweet! Not an akward moment was had. Carlos even shared some really informative tid bits with me that I appreciated. I see Dr. Newman and he is simply the best. Explains everything throughly, is very patient (my mouth took a bit to get fully numb), and is also gentle. If you're in/near/will make the trip to lower Manhattan for a dentist, I absolutely recommend seeing this dental group.

I heard about Sky Dental when they set up a table at my Pure Barre studio. The staff who ran the table was super friendly and very engaging. When I switched to new insurance I decided to give them a try for my annual check up. I loved both Kayla & Dr Erika Donovan. They were so friendly and made me feel at ease in the chair. I didn’t feel like I wasn’t understanding what was going on as they explained everything they were doing and the Dr even had a camera to show me certain teeth she wanted to call out which I thought was so cool. Also the office is so clean and pretty. My exam room had big windows looking out from the 13th floor view. And the woman at the front desk was so nice too! Overall really awesome experience and happy I switched to them as my Dentist!

SkyDental saved me after a year-long tiring endeavor with one of my teeth that was done and redone multiple times by different doctors only for them to say that I need surgery because they'd left files in my root canal. Dr Newman gave me a courtesy call before my appt, Tisha made sure we had enough time for the diagnostics and the crown to be made, everyone was professional, friendly and I couldn't recommend this clinic enough. I’ve gotten 4 fillings and a cleaning with this Dentist and I always find the experience to be fantastic. The office always feels super clean and organized. Each room has a view on downtown Manhattan which is amazing and the staff are all genuinely such nice people and always make me feel well taken care of. I recently had to get 3 fillings done at once and I genuinely was falling asleep during the procedure it was that good. I’ve never experienced something like that in a dentist chair. I think the reason for that was down to the amazing job at painlessly numbing me up and also some kind of jaw cushion that kept my mouth open wide so I could just relax and not strain to keep it open wide enough. Something that is usually always a problem for me and as someone who has had a lot of dental work done over the years this was game changing. I plan on getting more work with them soon and keep them as my dentist for as long as possible!

Updated review for Sky Dental since I am now with Dr. Newman. I have to say I am still really pleased with the practice and with Dr. Newman. He really bailed me out recently when I dislodged not one but two crowns. He proposed an easy short-term option and provided options for a longer-term solution. He is great to work with and so is the practice. They are up front about costs and taking care of billing. Highly recommend.
