Really great experience first time coming here. Scheduling was so easy and filling forms/appointment reminders was a breeze compared to other places. The office itself is clean and inviting. Staff were so friendly and walked me through everything they were doing, and were clear in explaining things and getting me everything i needed during my appointment. They even called to offer an earlier time which was great. Thank you to this amazing team!

I have been going to Tulane Family Dentistry for two years and it has been the best dental experience I have ever had. The environment is very welcoming and it makes me feel like I am in the care of individuals who care about the well being of my oral health. Dr. Shelton always give very informative facts about oral health that I didn’t know and educate me about my oral health along with tips to better take care of my teeth and gums. Dr. Shelton and Timmy work well together to get the teeth clean and address any concerns. They are thorough. I would highly recommend this dental office. The only issue is parking. It is located on a busy street and the available parking in front of the office is limited. I find early appointments work best.

$385 for cleaning + x-rays. The place was small, but it had much nicer equipment than places I’ve been before. Completely 3D x-ray so they could adjust their ‘position’ in your mouth and look at your teeth from any angle, any spot. The cleaning was less unpleasant than other cleanings I had, they put a little thing in my mouth while they cleaned my teeth that kept it dry. I didn’t have to taste any unpleasant paste and really squish and spit it out with that thing. Staff were prompt, and polite.

I went to the dentist yesterday (9/21/22) and I had not been in a year. When I went in the receptionist asked me about my daughter because we usually do it together. We talked about her and got her set up for an appointment at a later date. I was going in because about 4 years ago I went to another dental to get a wisdom tooth pulled and they left a piece of tooth in that had started giving me issues and I had to get it out. When the dentist saw me he shucked my hand and asked me how I had been doing. My dentist took his time and made sure I was comfortable and the area was numb before he started (the last dentist did not do that it was horrible) I needed a cleaning after and my dental hygienist who had not seen me in over a year asked me if I was still playing my Nentendo switch he remembered that the last time I had my switch and was heavy into playing it (I love Mario). We talked about new games coming out and he did a great job with the cleaning. I say all of this to say they do their jobs great but on top of that it was the little extras that made say I will never miss another appointment. They really showed me they cared about me and how I was doing it wasn’t just them taking my money. Thank y’all really !

It's been my family dentistry now for the past 2 years! My experiences have been great. I love the staff they are personable and have met all my dentistry needs. I enjoy coming to see Dr. Will and staff. Im always greeted with smiling professional faces! They are very accommodating and empathetic to big babies like myself. I'm very intimidated by pain and tooth service, but Dr. Will has never let me down. I'm always nervous about nothing because he makes sure I'm very comfortable. I love this practice so much! It always feels like being around family every time I go. Everyone is so kind and supportive. From the front desk staff to the dentist! I saw Dr. Shelton and Timmy for all my visits and they are incredible. During my first visit, Dr. Shelton showed me my x-ray and explained what exactly he's look for in the imaging. He gave me detailed plans to prevent cavities and what to look out for in the future. I never felt pressured to do anything. I can't recommend them enough!! Great practice!

Oh my goodness!!! I absolutely love Tulane Family Dentistry. My experience here was fabulous from start to finish. The concierge gave my a courtesy call prior to my arrival. When I walked in, the lobby was clean and fresh smelling. The Dental Assistant, Yasmine was very nice and professional. She was rapid with dealing with my 1 year old son but, still very efficient. When Dr. Russell came in, she was pleasant, blunt, and very informative. This is a great place to bring a small child for dentistry purposes. We will most definitely be back!!!

When I got medicaid their help center suggested Tulane Family Dentistry. Without knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised! Typically going to the dentist is uncomfortable to say the least but their office was fast, helpful, and studious. I was scheduled for x-rays and a cleaning only. During which they found cavities, instead of scheduling another appointment they took the time assess if they had time that day. Thankfully they had time and saved me another trip and hassle of scheduling around work! Furthermore, I need a dental implant which they gave me all of my payment options since that was not covered by insurance. Their entire office is warm and thoughtful with the care they provide! I appreciate Tulane Family Dentistry and am recommending them to everyone!

They are great accommodating her needs while still delivering a fantastic job. Both, Dr. Russell and Dr. Shelton are amazing. They are very gentle and nice with my child, but they are also thorough with their job and very professional. The staff is also wonderful. The sweetest people ever! I have been a patient of Alexis Russell and William Shelton at the Tulane Family Dentistry for years if I can give more than five stars I give them 10 Stars they are very professional the place is immaculately clean and up-to-date with all their Dental equipment. One thing that I most appreciate about this family dentistry is they give you advice on dental care and rather than just pulling your teeth they try and save every tooth in your mouth which gives you that perfect smile. Honestly can't say enough about Tulane Dentistry. I have been struggling to find someone to accept my Medicaid - I was a walk-in that desperately needed my impacted wisdom teeth removed - I have extreme general anxiety, and a previous traumatic dental history so I was terrified - I had very little expectations, and convinced myself at best they would send me home, and schedule me something in a week (or more) if I was lucky. Dr. Will was able to see me that afternoon, seemingly effortlessly relieving me of both teeth, while keeping me informed (& laughing.) Special shout out to "Dr. Will", Miss Jo, & Miss Yasmine - I'll be back again, and again. Thank you!

The staff was extremely nice, unfortunately the pricing is extremely high. I went for a basic cleaning that my insurance is suppose to cover. All I got was a consult stating that it didn’t cover and they were going to charge me over $1000 dollars. I understand if I needed more than that, but it would have been nice for them to do what they could that day. I’m 39 weeks pregnant so I took the time to get a Lyft to get there, fill out paperwork, and waste an hour of my day.

I happened to be in a severe pain because of previous filling which responded negatively to the nerve. I met Dr. William and he immediately explained the situation and suggested doing three root canals and guaranteed to me that I would be out of pain right away. Indeed, within 3 hours, I was completely done with the pain and felt relieved. Dr. William was understanding when doing the surgery and did not only he finished it in a timely manner, but also he did cleaning and additional filling to cover the hole. So, I highly recommend Dr. William and his wonderful teams who guide you clearly step by step about the problem. Thanks Dr. William.

When my recently filled cavity had some problems with the bite giving me pain - they were able to see me right away and fix the problem. The communication and “chairside” manner is incredible. I even started crying like an idiot in the chair last time and they were very kind and talked me through the issue. I shouldn’t have admitted that. for my first visit , It was actually an awesome visit . They where so understanding and patient as I was pouring my heart out of how much pain I was in the . The nurse Jojo is amazing . She offered me a blacked (along with the dentist himself ) she also gave me some numbing gel to hold me over until the Dr came in because I was in so much pain . Dr. Shelton I believe his name was , was incredibly . He was very good at educating me about my teeth , what I needed done & the process . Although I didn’t leave with any work done due to being so infected , I did leave with antibiotics and a good pain medicine to help make me through until he can pull on Monday . The only thing I wish they had was options for dental care for low income . I can’t get a rootcanal since my insurance won’t cover it & I can’t pay over 12,000 per rootcanal needing 5 ! But overall their amazing & I will be back . Not just for the tooth pulling but as a patient in general .
