Dr. Alice Ho is an outstanding dentist; highly skilled and quite competent. I began seeing her last year after seeing the same dentist for 35 years. I only wish she’d been there then. Heather is a highly skilled dental assistant who is confident and attentive to your needs and sensitivities. Together these ladies make an outstanding team who perform and accomplish terrific work. You can’t go wrong at Exceptional Dental. The name says it all.

For lack of a better term, I had a bad taste in my mouth for years about seeing the dentist. I've just never had a good experience with my previous dentists and frankly they scared the heck out of me. However, I've had a more than pleasant experience with every person I've come into contact with at Exceptional Dental of Mid-City. They make going to the dentist enjoyable. I've not felt an ounce of pain through any procedure I've had done here. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Toni Le and her assistant Heather are the best dental duo I have ever had the pleasure to meet and have procedures done by. I would recommend this place to anyone, there is no shortage of fantastic service. If your looking for a dentist, look no further this is exactly what you are looking for. If you could, ask for them specifically. but this place has no shortage of good staff. Extraordinary is how I would describe my experience here. Best dentist office I’ve ever been to , never going anywhere else.

Dr. Adragna and Stephanie were so kind, thorough, and efficient, as was every staff member I encountered. They made time for my dental emergency the same day. I never felt judged, rushed, or taken advantage of. Insurance costs and payments were presented to me clearly and timely. Definitely recommend Exceptional Mid-City for anxious patients. Every time I come to exceptional dental the service surpasses my expectations! Dr. Andragna is knowledgeable and professional. The team walks you through your treatment before it is performed. I am in the process of receiving an implant and the team made me feel comfortable and confident that it would go well. Kenzie was very accommodating and gentle when taking my x-rays. The process took no more than 3 mins! She also made my son feel very welcomed and comfortable as he accompanied me to my appointment today. My hygienist Jenn is always so sweet and professional. She goes above and beyond to make sure that I comfortable and have no pain during my cleaning. Jenn is very thorough and efficient and I always leave feeling very happy with my visit! Joanna (Johanna?) was the best x-ray (dental radiograph?) tech I've ever had in all my years of getting x-rays on my teeth. You know when they tell you to bite down on the plastic thing and it stabs you all over the inside of your gums and lips but you keep biting down because there shooting x-rays at your head and you dont want to move? She actually takes the time to ensure that doesn't happen. Also, Rachel did a great job with ensure the cleaning I had was as painless as possible (though my own shortfall in not flossing regularly didn't help...). Maybe I've just had indifferent, sadistic, and/or merciless dental care in the past OR (and likely) these two are just really good at what they do and actually care.

This morning I had the wonderful experience of getting my teeth cleaned at Exceptional Dental of Mid-City. The team that took care of me were OUTSTANDING! Let me tell you why… I was first seen by two dental assistants. The first was Darius and the other Keyshawn. Darius was absolutely courteous, calm, knowledgable and professional in his demeanor and how he dealt with me. He made me feel totally at ease and welcome. This gentleman made sure that I was aware of each step in the process that I was about to encounter and that any and all of my questions were answered. I knew I was in good hands the whole time. I was a bit chilly and he even supplied me with a neck warmer and blanket! After his phenomenal care I next was assisted by Keyshawn. She was as wonderful in her care and concern for my treatment as Darius was. Both of them kept me informed and included in the process. I have nothing but praise for how well I was treated. Next in line was my hygienest, Ms. Carol. This awesome lady was courteous, uplifting, a joy to be around and super pleasant. As she cleaned my teeth I could teel that she was a gentle master at her craft! I made sure to tell her so too. Finally, my dentist, Dr. Alice Ho came to check on me after the cleaning was complete. She is ALWAYS pleasant, engaging, knowledgable, professional and kind. I had to share with her how pleased and impressed that I was with her dental team. They all are FANTASTIC! Job very well done. Friday afternoon Veterans Day and my lumineer came off front tooth. Total panic set in. Most offices were closed but Exceptional Dental was open and took me in! I’m really terrified of dentist but since I’ve been going to Exceptional Dental Family Denistry and having to have a root canal or two and crowns done….. I have been treated EXCEPTIONALLY good. From the time you walk in the door until the time you walk out, every one and every thing is EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT! Lance Michaelis PS - An important note: my mouth was so numb that it was hard for me to tell how effective the temporary crown was regarding my bite. Heather assured me that this wasn't unusual and if I needed to correct it more to not hesitate to call and come in the next day. I did need the additional correction and called the next morning. I was back in the chair that same morning and Heather, as promised, personally addressed it patiently and professionally. This is the type of response that confirms you've found the right practice.

VISIT: December 2018 I found myself on a vacation with a toothache. I tried not to say anything at first but after awhile I just couldn’t pretend anymore. I bought ibuprofen and orajel and was using it like water. It helped at first and then it didn’t and the pain was unbearable. We were in a unfamiliar city and state but I needed to see somebody. RECEPTIONIST - I googled and found Exceptional. I called and the receptionist was super nice, understanding and helpful. She didn’t tell me they were booked. She told me they WOULD squeeze me in. QUOTE - They quoted us $29 for an exam and about $1,000 for a root canal (as I thought I might need one). CHECK-IN - The staff acknowledged us as we came in and after filling out five minute registration electronically, I was welcomed to the dentist office. OFFICE - The office was modern, inviting and friendly. DENTISTS & SERVICE - I saw Dr. Russo, who was superb. She listened to my situation and tried to identify which tooth was causing me the pain. At this point everything hurt and it was hard to tell. She advised against root canal at this point as we couldn’t identify the tooth with a 100% certainty and we had no x-ray baseline to see changes from before. She advised healing the infection with antibiotic first and see my home dentist once that cleared. I am so glad we did that because the antibiotics helped. Dr. Russo was patient, kind and very professional. She really took the time even though we weren’t originally scheduled. PRICE - I paid $29 for the entire visit and five x-rays and the office sent me an electronic copy of my x-rays to my email so that I could share it with my home dentist. I was a self-paid patient. It was a very good price for the service.

Exceptional Dental provides amazing dental care. I’ve done preventive Invisalign, 2 cleanings a year, X-rays and other things, because I love taking care of my teeth. I’ve been a patient almost 3 years after moving here in 2018. I had been going to my previous dentist since I was in college. It was important to find the right person to trust as my dentist, and I did in Dr. Alice. She’s incredible, and I’m so happy I’m now in her care. She not only cares about my teeth, she cares about me and my family.

I had an emergency appointment due to trauma causes by dental grinding and had the chance to meet dr. Alice. She addressed everything in a manner I could understand, but went above and beyond adjusting her schedule around my needs. I have a daughter with special needs and not many professionals would work around this. The staff is always pretty calming, I have anxiety and it is always comforting when people let you know what they are about to do. Of course love the dental hygienist that takes care of me since 2020 and Dr. Setti.

You will not find me repeatedly writing reviews in the same place, good or bad, but I feel that strongly about the staff and care here that when I have a break from my visits and come back I just look forward to the visit AND am relaxed without any negative thoughts about “seeing the dentist”. There are a lot of folks who don’t like going to the dentist but I have issues in that department that span my whole life and have to do with an illness that I never knew I had amongst other things. I usually see Dr. Setti but today I saw Dr. Alice and she was absolutely very receptive, accommodating, and so sweet I could not have been more pleased. Rachel, the hygienist, is always very nice and extremely informative and she provided education on products which I will purchase. Jamie and Evelyn were both at the desk in the front and were extremely helpful and super friendly. I have worked with Jamie in the office since I have been coming here and she has been the BEST with scheduling and figuring out insurance and work needed vs. payments etc. I don’t want to forget Darius who walked me back initially and took my X-rays. I think he may have been the most gentle with putting the little plates in my mouth and he fit them with ease which most, if not all, others before could not do without me getting one or two scratches in my mouth. He did a great job!!

I was visit from NYC several times a year. On a recent trip, I woke up with a swollen gum. Exceptional Dental was able to see me two days before Thanksgiving. Dr. Alice spent a lot of time with me explaining what was wrong and treatment options. The office is immaculately clean, state of the art equipment and the entire staff is kind and friendly. I was quoted one price and then they added a lab fee at the end. I have to go without my partial for seven days because they replaced the wrong tooth and it fell out in two days. They made me feel that I had done something wrong. All in all, I would continue to give them my business. (Be truthful to all your customers and double check your work)

It’s a very beautiful and clean office that runs smoothly. They have all kinds of comforts to soothe you including a warm neck rice pillow thing that I loved. The dentist Dr Le and her assistant Stephanie were both excellent. I felt no pain getting my filling and I have to admit I felt more at ease than I ever have, maybe in part because I was getting care from two women from my own generation who communicated well and seemed to really care about me. It was a really good experience.

There are a lot of reasons I am exceptionally pleased with this office, most of which revolves around my anxiety about (well, a lot of things, but particularly) the dentist. Every single staff member I've met through this office has been so welcoming and accommodating! 1. Emergency Appointments: I had a wisdom tooth coming in giving me extreme pain and they were able to get me in right away even without being an established patient. Thank you!! 2. Receptionists: Shout out Megan! Always so welcoming and there to explain any questions I have, especially around insurance. 3. Dental Assistants, if that's not the right term, Dental Rockstars would be a better fit! Again, so welcoming and friendly - answering questions when needed and making sure I am seen as fast as possible even when things are busy. 4. Comfort: Bonus points for the warm neck pillow and blanket! Aside from just being comfortable this is a HUGE help with my anxiety. 5. Dr. Adragna! He's the best, very personable and answers all my questions (as you may imagine, I usually have a lot)! Also, I will always remember the first time I saw him (to pull out the wisdom tooth): I told him that I've had some BAD experiences and, though I was prepared to trust him, I was very nervous. During the pulling I was focused on my breathing and he commented affirming that I was doing great and that slow breaths were good. This meant the entire world to me! As mentioned, my dental experience has not always been good, so renewing my relationship with the dentist has been a struggle. I'm so glad to have landed with Exceptional Dental!

Today was my first experience at Exceptional Dental. I must say this place is the most amazing dental office I’ve ever experienced, from the front staff receptionist greeting you. I was referred to Dr. Mickey Adragna and let me say this, he was the most amazing, sweetest, light up the room type of person. He was very knowledgeable about everything!!!! I love the fact that he gives options instead of saying this is what going on and that’s that! I wish I would’ve been known about this place. Great service and care! I missed my appointment because I arrived 30 minutes late, but I was able to schedule another appointment later that day. They send several text reminders about your upcoming appointment and will even call you if you’re running late. Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. They explain every procedure and teach you how to take the best care of your teeth. The rooms are comfortable and have two TVs one being on the ceiling so you can watch even when you’re getting your teeth cleaned. Before I knew it everything was done, and my next appointment was already scheduled. If you don’t like dentist visits, try this place and you might even enjoy yourself!

Excellent service and performance from beginning to end. Initial phone inquiry was friendly, courteous, and informative. Sign-in was simple though thorough along with a very short wait time. The actual procedure was one the best and most pleasant dental experiences I've ever had, Dr. Alice has the midas touch in a velvet glove along with assistant Sonja's calming reassurances made for such a breeze of a root canal I actually dozed off during a procedure I initially dreaded getting done. Receptionists and x-ray tech was warm, friendly, and polite. Jan(I think, billing lady) was very nice, thorough, and informative in the billing/payment process. The whole establishment literally 'exceeds' the Exceptional in the name.....I rate my experience at 15⭐'s out of 10⭐'s(yes, you read that right). I very highly recommend Exceptional Dental for an exceedingly Exceptional dental treatment and experience. Excellent.

Went here after another practice said I'd need an oral surgeon to remove my wisdom tooth. Doctor Michael was quick, professional, and had the tooth out in less than a minute. The staff were all helpful and cheerful, the doctor was amazing, really, about as positive as a visit to the dentist can be.

Jamie B., Stephanie and Dr. Tinney are all amazing at what they do. Each one took great care of me. I have severe anxiety when it comes to dental procedures. Jamie was able to get me an appointment when I found myself suddenly in pain. She was fast, efficient, friendly and caring. Stephanie instantly recognized my pain, fear and anxiety. She treated me with respect and was not dismissive of my stress. She listened while I rambled and calmed me when began to panic a little bit. Dr. Tinney is extremely gentle and patient. The dental work was good. However, every appointment felt rushed. The office is chaotic & sensory overload. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with sensory processing difficulties (me included). They had infomercials with sound on playing simultaneously with radio in the waiting room, and the radio continued throughout the practice. Then the exam/procedure rooms have radio and multiple tvs. The whole place was freezing, and exam/procedure rooms don’t have closeable doors, so you’re subjected to not only sounds of dental work in your own mouth, but the sounds of tools, talking, radio, tv, etc etc. If these things don’t bother you, then you may appreciate their efficiency and professionalism (which were both great!)! For me, I can’t go back because the environment was extremely stressful & anxiety-inducing despite the friendly staff. I would ask the exceptional dental folks consider limiting the number of sounds audible at once, using white noise, and having exam/procedure rooms that allow doors to be shut and block out the sounds of strangers getting teeth drilled.

She was informative, caring, and had very good bed side manners. She doesn’t yank on ya mouth like some. They have TVs on the wall and ceiling in in every room and offer blankets and a warm pillow for your neck. What more can you ask for?! On top of that, my dentist and hygienist know me and make me feel comfortable each time. I only wish they still had Saturday appointments, but maybe post covid that will be a reality again. The one thing that can be a pain is parking. Just depends on the day and time. It’s a busy little area so just make sure you give yourself time for that. Highly recommend.

Exceptional Dental lives up to their name 100%. My friend has been a patient there for a few years now and recommended I visit Exceptional Dental. Since it had been nearly TEN YEARS since I had my last dental exam, I was hella nervous about my appointment. The staff here is AMAZING and was very considerate of my fears! Even though I lucked out and didn't have too much damage, I did need a couple of fillings (my first!) and a hardcore deep cleaning that required local anesthetic. I was able to get all the dental work scheduled for that same week. My hygienist, Rachel, did an AMAZING job and carefully went over everything to do and expect post-procedure. Dr. Setti and his assistant made sure I was comfortable and relaxed while getting my fillings. Based on my experiences here, Exceptional Dental of Mid-City is efficient, professional, thorough, and fairly priced. The dentist was very involved in ever step of the process, and he was very clear with me about what he was doing, why, and what it meant. The hygienist was very attentive to my pain levels and took every step possible to keep me comfortable. I started looking for another dentist after mine didn’t reopen after the pandemic lockdown last year. I briefly went to Dumas Dentistry, but it’s tough to get on their schedule. So, after much research, I settled on Exceptional. My initial visit was fine. As a new patient they took plenty of x-rays. The dental assistant was initially dry, but she warmed up. Dr. Setti examined my mouth and said I had no cavities or other major issues, but then he stated that I needed a crown because the filling (resin) on one tooth was breaking down. I had been reluctant to try a new dentist because I was afraid they would recommend treatment I didn’t need. My two previous dentists made no mention of me potentially needing a crown. After I told the consultant that I would get a second opinion, she convinced me to go through with the procedure because, according to her, my tooth could crack at any time. So, I’ll preface the following experience by saying that I really don’t know if I needed a crown right now. Maybe eventually, but I’m not certain. I think a second opinion would have provided more insight. With that said, I came in today (my 2nd visit) to start the crown work. Stephanie, the assistant, was awesome. I can’t say enough positive things about her. She was amazing. Firstly, she was hilarious. She would say something in a different voice similar to a character on tv. It’s difficult to explain. She was thoughtful and personable. Stephanie offered me a warm neck pillow that I’m going to search for on Amazon. It was so soothing. She was also professional and honest. Authentic would be a great word to describe her. She shared some personal information, but she’s just an all around cool person. What impacted me the most was that she patted my arm while the doctor injected the anesthetic. No one has ever done that in the 45 years I’ve been going to the dentist. The patting reduced my anxiety. I didn’t feel the two injections, but the sight of the humongous needle makes me anxious. Thanks Stephanie!! More assistants should do this. Dr. Setti was great, too. He didn’t say too much compared to my initial visit, but he was professional and gentle. The procedure lasted about an hour and everything went well. On my initial visit, though, Dr. Setti gave me a thorough examination and described my overall dental health. I look forward to getting my permanent crown. The interior office space is beautiful. It’s definitely one of the more lavish dental offices I’ve been to. The tv in the waiting area, however, is mounted on the same wall that most of the seats are lined against, so you can’t watch tv while you wait. They do have a mini fridge filled with water bottles, which is a nice touch. It appears many offices are adopting this simple, but impactful amenity. I think the neck pillow, the patting while I was being injected and the extensive equipment they have available exceeded my expectations and sets them apart from many practices in the New Orleans area.

My husband came in for first consultation for extensive dental work. I specifically asked to be included in consultation with doctor but was not called back. He asked too and was told that the doctor would tell the consultation clerk the status and she would talk with both of us. This is not acceptable to me. She was very nice but if WE are investing $30k or in that neighborhood for dental work, I expect to be able to also meet with the doctors. We have another appointment to come back in May to see Dr. Mousa. If I am not allowed to be in a meeting with him and my husband I would like to know in advance so we can find somewhere else to go. I’m an integral part of his care and we need to go where it’s understood that this is a joint undertaking and decision.

I went to Exceptional Dental for an emergency tooth extraction on Saturday morning while I was on vacation in NOLA with my girlfriends. I found them by googling emergency dental and am SO thankful I did. I had a severe tooth infection and tooth abscess from a root canal that failed. I was in a lot of pain when I got there and felt better as soon as I walked in and saw how nice and professional the office was. The front desk was very friendly and helped me fill out the paperwork quickly. I was taken back within 10 minutes to see a dentist. The dental assistant were very sweet, knowledgeable and thorough. They had top of line equipment for everything. The dental surgeon that came in was amazing! He was very experienced and confident but also had incredible bed side manner. I was very emotional from the stress and pain but he made me feel secure and assured me I would be ok. I've had several tooth extractions before, and this one was by far the easiest and least traumatic of them all. The dental assistant even offered to let me squeeze her hand while he gave me the Novocain and I took her up on it. I honestly could not have wished for a better dental experience and exceptional care (and it's the perfect name for the group!). I should also add that I am from the San Francisco Bay Area where we have top of the line medical and dental care. Thank you to Exceptional Dental !

This was far and away the best experience I’ve had at a dentists office! I have awful anxiety about getting dental work done and typically have to be sedated, I had the option to have them administer gas to help me through the procedure (they have other sedation options as well) but ended up declining because I was showed such compassion and professionalism from the moment that I set foot in the office I was immediately at ease. The two doctors that helped me were incredibly kind and seemed at ease working together which really helped me stay calm. I’ve never had a dentist who stayed in the room and finished my whole procedure without stepping out and working on another patient before coming back to me. This made things incredibly quick and let me know I had his full attention. The amenities (complimentary bottles of water, coffee, the option to watch whatever I wanted on cable on two TVs during the procedure) and the cleanliness and style of the office itself had me worried that I wouldn’t be able to afford my procedure without insurance, but the prices are very reasonable. They let you know upfront what the cost of everything will be so there are no surprises, and they have a very helpful monthly plan that allows you to get free cleanings and other benefits like a percentage off of future procedures. As I was leaving I was able to talk to someone about future visits, payment options, and was given the cost of certain procedures that I was curious about which is very helpful when you have to plan to pay for things upfront without insurance. I was never rushed through this conversation and felt like I could ask any questions I might have. I’m excited to go back and get more work done, and I never thought I’d be able to say that! If you’re looking for a dentist I highly recommend Exceptional Dental, especially if you have anxiety, they are the best!

Everyone here did their best to help lower that anxiety and I felt much more comfortable Everyone was so nice and professional as well. The dentist took her time to thoroughly explain everything to me and reviewed all of my x-rays with me. I was worried about having cavities because I hadn't seen a dentist in 4+ years but I got a clean bill of health after my cleaning! The dental hygienist did an amazing job and was easy to talk to just like the dentist. The team clearly works well together and knows their stuff. They offer a high level of skill to be sure. Although the office is as busy as a factory and you can tell they crank out appointment after appointment, I’ve never, ever felt rushed or ill-treated. Everyone works together like a well-oiled machine. I’m fortunate enough to have dental insurance, which covers a good bit of the cost, but their prices don’t seem to be out of line with what I’ve heard from friends and colleagues. I had previously had a wisdom tooth extracted in 2018 and not only was I in pain DURING the procedure, but I had probably one of the longest and most painful recoveries one can have (dry socket, bleeding for days, you name it!). This led me to put off having the rest of my wisdom teeth removed due to fear and anxiety of having to go through that again. I finally had to go in and get it over with (I had a terribly painful cavity in one of them). When I say this experience was incredible- I mean it!! Dr. Adragna and Amanda were extremely accommodating to my anxiety over the whole thing and made sure I was completely comfortable the whole time. Not only were they amazingly considerate, but what took almost an hour (for one tooth) last time took only about 5-10 minutes for the whole procedure. I genuinely did not believe him when he said it was finished, I didn’t feel a thing! On top of an incredibly well executed procedure, the healing time was about 1/4 the time of my last recovery- I was eating solid food just 48 hours after with no pain or discomfort. I cannot recommend Dr. Adragna enough and the words in this review don’t even begin to embody how truly amazed I am by their work!

This office is brand new, quite large, clean and nice. The staff were helpful, but I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room past my appointment time to be called in, another 20 minutes once I was in my room for an x-ray and then the doctor to come, and another 20 minutes for the hygienist to perform my cleaning in another room. It must be why there are so many TVs everywhere, to try to distract you from the wait time. I know that this location is new, and they may be working some scheduling kinks out, but a total of 70 minutes of time spent waiting for one teeth cleaning seems excessive. If you are planning on coming for a cleaning, I would suggest scheduling 2.5 hours out of your day to do so. That being said, the facility and staff are very nice.

I had a tooth chipped and was told about the office from a friend of mine. I called on a Monday afternoon and they got me an appointment first thing the next day. From the initial call they were always completely informative and thorough. I hate going to the dentist but as soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by the most friendly and police front desk clerk, Cora. She made the check in, check out, and payment process go by very swiftly also making sure that you knew exactly what was going on. The dental assistant that was assigned to me was named Lashae. To say she was excellent and comforting at her job is an understatement. She told me everything step by step never leaving me in the blind of what was going on and always asking if I’m comfortable and would I like a blanket. She is by far the best dental assistant I have ever had. Dr. Guillot is who completed my root canal and crown and she did AMAZING! She’s very friendly and professional with a great sense of humor and she consistently checking on you and reassuring you through the whole process. This was an amazing team with an astonishing process. This will definitely be my go to office for all of my dental needs.

I don't know if my wife already made a post about Exceptional Dental, but I am making one. We are from Wisconsin, and my wife was in town for a conference. I gradually started getting a toothache late one night. It was awful. My wife scoured the web, looking for a dentist who would accept our insurance. Exceptional Dental did, and she called the next morning. By that time, I had not slept and was miserable. They got me in at 1 pm that day. The place was very warm and welcoming as was each and every staff member. Dr. Colburn reassured and walked me through the process, explaining each step. I ended up getting that tooth removed. Of course, that was not fun, but she and each assistant made me feel so comfortable. They continued to reassure, and if I had any questions, I could call them even on a Saturday. I am so grateful for Exceptional Dental - how professional, welcoming, and kind they were. My dentist was transferred from her dental office which was very close to my house. I liked her so much , that I decided to travel to what ever office she was assigned. Visited with her a couple of days ago and was the same kind, gentle, helpful , cooperative and caring person she always was. And she told me she was happy to see me again! She practices GOOD dentistry which means she truly cares about the patient and their dental needs more than any financial reward. The person who cleaned my teeth was Rachael and she too was outstanding. In fact, I have been seeing dentists for almost a hundred years and she was the first to tell me that because of defects in my gums and a previous infection that I should use a Water Pic(?). Went home and asked my shopping expert wife to get one for me and it is on its way. Rachael also showed that she truly cared about the patient's welfare. They have a hand held x-ray machine which for those that have been to a dentist can be a painful experience. Not here they took their x-ray gun and zap I was done. Not only did they take care of the procedure I came in for, but found and fixed an unrelated issue while they were at it. The dentist who performed the quick fix was none other than the owner. He was completely professional and cordial, you’d never know he’s running one of the highest quality offices in New Orleans and surrounding area. First, let me say I’m deathly afraid of Dentist. I found this dentist by asking for recommendations and reading reviews (all reviews I read gave better than good reviews) which helped in my decision making. I was very impressed from my initial call. When it’s said that the Switchboard Operator is the voice of the business it’s definitely the truth! The first person I spoke with made me feel very comfortable. My appointment day came and my knees were knocking.....again I’m scared. All of the staff that saw me, spoke to me, or attended to me insured me that I was in good hands and that everything would be okay. Well needless to say....I’m thinking you’re saying this because you know I’m scared and this is what y’all tell everybody. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I get X-rays done....now I’m in this dental chair and I’m sitting looking for the nearest door I can run out of. No luck! The Dentist came in (Dr. Adragna) very nice guy and gentle. But now the real work begins........stay tuned (2 weeks and it’s on and popping)! I walked in and was greeted by the comradely front staff in, might I say, the most swanky office I've ever been in. (I looooove aquariums.) They handed me an iPad to fill my information out on, and had water and coffee to wait with. After my wait, I was taken to THE chair with a remote to watch whatever I wanted on TV. The ambiance of the entire office was serene and tranquil. Even though I have no anxiety about going to the dentist, I could just fall asleep. Dr. Alice Ho and Heather had a great dynamic and report with one another. Doc was never pressuring or scolding like some dentists can be to a patient. I'm not the most adherent to a proper dental routine, but Doc and Heather had such terrific bedside manners and understood I'm only a human that loves sugar. Surprise! They uncovered a whopping five cavities. My bad. Most importantly, they weren't trying to pull my baby tooth. This little guy has been my ride or die, and they wanted to keep it preserved as long at possible. I was surprised to find out they even had time to do a cleaning, which was soooo much fun with Jenn! It's like having a tea party with her, but she is scraping the plaque off your teeth. The cleaning went superb and Jenn adroitly gave me the anesthetic injections for my filling, which, furthering the surprise, they had more time to do. Just one bad cavity. They gotta keep me coming back for more, after all. I said goodbye to Jenn with the goody bag she gave me, and was back in the chair with Doc and Heather, and they gave me some sunglasses that made me look like the mayor of Flavor Town, Guy Fieri, to be okay with the bright lights. The overall experience of having the filling done was what you should expect: comfortable while they were courteous and considerate. My overall experience with my visit was 15/10. They treated me, and, what I can see, everyone else with personal respect. Their hours are great. Their staff is friendly, and seem to be friendly amongst themselves even. I'm very relieved I took a chance going to another dentist.

I’d like to take a moment to express my Extreme gratitude to the team at Exceptional Dental. My experience was indeed exceptional! I called at noon yesterday with an excruciating toothache the day before I had to travel for a 2 week business trip. I was worried that flying would make the toothache worse and hoped not to have to deal with emergency procedures while away. My coworker referred me to them due to the excellent experience she had with them. I was told that the doctor would see me right away so I rushed over. It turned out that I needed a root canal. Anyone who has had one of these knows how intense the procedure can be. The nurses were so upbeat and kind offering me a heated neck pillow, a blanket, the remote, etc. My dentist reassured me despite my anxiety and at one point I actually dozed off during the procedure because he worked so seamlessly!! The whole procedure took quite a long time (because of my crazy long canals and thankfully because of the dentist’s meticulous and precise work) and at the very end I found out that my dentist had actually extended what should have been a half day for him to work on my teeth! I wasn’t even a patient yet, and he stayed UNTIL DARK finishing the procedure because he said he felt for how much pain I was in and didn’t want me to have to get on a plane in that condition. I could have cried it was so kind! I’m switching to Exceptional Dentistry now for good and have already recommended them to 2 more friends of mine. I’m on the plane as we speak and full to the brim with relief and gratitude.

Exceptional Dental is by far the best dentist office I’ve been to in my adult life! Let me start by saying everyone is genuinely nice and caring! My first time seeing Dr.Colburn was 2/16 for a routine exam and cleaning. On this visit I was also able to get a tooth that I had recently chipped fix. Dr.Colburn explained how I should care for the tooth over the next few hours. Long story short it chipped again a few days before my engagement photos. On top of having weather issues I was becoming extremely discouraged with something that should be bliss. That’s when I called the dentist office back on short notice to explain what was going on. I then spoke with Latroya who never made me feel like I was being a burden for something that I caused, but made me feel me feel at ease by doing everything she could to squeeze me in for a visit the day before our shoot and also making me laugh by telling me her engagement photoshotos story. Not only did I get the best cleaning that I’ve ever gotten, but I felt extremely comfortable for something that’s very uncomfortable. Thank Dr.Colburn and Latroya! You guys are the chic-fil-a of dentist offices lol.

Friendly staff and nice office, but I wasted $78. They have a new patient introductory offer on their website, which is $78 for xrays, exam, and cleaning. As someone who doesn't live full time in New Orleans, I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned and see what (if any) larger issues I had. I had xrays and exams- everyone was professional, competent, and friendly. I was told that I need more complex cleaning procedure involving numbing and to fill a few cavities- which they did not have availability to do at all the day of my appointment. I was shown how much my procedures would be and told payment options available, but was ultimately sent on my way without receiving any teeth cleaning, either complex or standard cleaning. I do not live full time in New Orleans, and I am able to have these complex procedures done anywhere. However, I chose this office so I could leave New Orleans with clean teeth, regardless of larger issues, and I wish they would have honored their offer, which was xray, exam, and CLEANING.

I realized I had a cracked or broken bicuspid the Friday night before Thanksgiving. I found Exceptional Dental through a Google search for emergency dental care. I emailed for a Saturday appt and was astonished to receive a text from the owner asking if I could come in the next a.m. at 7:45 a.m. I arrived to find a patient-friendly, state-of-the-art operation. I was seen by Dr. Katelyn Coburn who confirmed the tooth was broken. Since I knew I would be able to see my own dentist Monday, I opted for no further active measures, but was given an antibiotic prescription to prevent possible infection.My own dentist confirmed the diagnosis and the treatment recommendations. I feel confident that, should I not have my own dentist available, I would have been in good hands at Exceptional Dental and I have recommended the practice to friends.

He just happened to be there at the time with his daughter dropping off girl scout cookies and upon hearing about my plight, he took care of my problem on the spot. The fact I have written this one is an indication of the extremely high regard in which I hold all of the staff of Exceptional Dental Mid-City generally, and Dr Katelynn Colburn, DDS, in particular. I developed a terrible toothache that required emergency root canal therapy on a Saturday. I was on holidays with my wife, having travelled from Australia, and we were due to fly out of New Orleans on the following Monday. I called many dental practices in New Orleans but Exceptional were the first to answer and they booked me in immediately. From the moment I arrived until I left, the staff were engaged and focussed entirely on treating my problem. By the time I left later that day, the treatment was complete and seven days later has been entirely problem free. The team at Exceptional Dental were absolutely fantastic, and I cannot thank them enough as our holiday continued uninterrupted. Again, thank you!

I have to thank Darrell Bourg DDS, he is awesome. About a month ago we flew down to New Orleans for a cruise on Carnival Dream. While we were in New Orleans my girlfriend broke a crown on Saturday night. In a panic we searched for a dentist that could help us on Sunday morning. Darrell answered his phone on a Sunday morning and said he would come in, amazing. By 11am Darrell met us at his state of the art office and made a crown with a computer controlled machine. Prefect first time. Awesome. After all that he also was so nice that he gave us a ride to the cruise ship. Thanks you are awesome Darrell Bourg.
