Vitality is best dental office I have ever been to. The entire staff is so friendly, but more importantly, they are knowledgeable and accommodating. I had a tooth break off and they had me in within an hour to get it fixed. I was there less than 30 minutes, and left there good as new! Cannot say enough good things about this group! The kind of place where the staff remembers your name and greets you when you walk in the door. I've been seeing Dr. Oaks since I moved to Nashville 6 years ago. He is honest and straightforward with my care. Never suggesting something that doesn't need to be done, and honestly has fixed the mistakes of my providers in the past. The one time Dr. Oaks was not available in 6 years for an emergency, Dr Holmes was also great. Can't recommend this place enough.

This is by far the best dentist in Nashville. If you are looking for a dental office that can handle all of your dental needs, Vitality Dental is the the place to go. My previous dental provider did not have all of the in house dental services and would normally send me out to other providers to have certain dental procedures done. My interactions with all of the staff and Dr. Holmes was great and they really care about your dental needs. From Tami and Jill rescheduling my appointments due to my hectic schedule. To Mary and Cori explaining procedures and dental benefits, and Amanda practicing gentle dental in our annual checkups, their practice is truly a team effort. My wife has even switched from her previous dental provider to them and is impressed also. So I recommend them to everyone.

These folks are always awesome. They do their best to get you in on time (I hate waiting in an office for long periods) and get you through your process as quickly as they can. If you have questions, they are able to walk you through what you are inquiring about, set your expectations and explain things in a manner you will understand. I have been going here for several years and have not had any issues. They play music so you can relax while being "worked on" which is always nice. The office and room areas are always clean, so no worries here. Dental work can sometimes not be a pleasant experience, so they help with some of those worries with skill and care.

They are always Professional and courteous even during the Pandemic. I call when I get there, they come out, check my temperature, then lead me inside the office. After the initial check in you are led directly to the dental alcove. This is immediate upon return visits. The staff does their best to keep you comfortable and explain what they are doing at each step. Runs more efficiently than a regular Doctor’s office. I’ve had regular cleanings and even my Wisdom teeth removed here. They do everything to make sure you’re not too stressed (playing music, communicating effectively) and aren’t afraid to wait five/ten more minutes to make sure you’re completely numb before they operate. I’ve been very pleased with how they explain coverage and let you know what is covered by your specific plan and what (if anything) you would need to cover out-of-pocket. It’s all broken down and explained in a satisfactory manner. I will return here.

To say wisdom teeth removal is a pleasant experience almost never happens... but I would say if you have to get it done, I would highly recommend Vitality Dental. The comforting environment and expertise was awesome. The procedure went fine, and I’m feeling almost back to normal after one day of rest! Shoutout to Cori for her empathy and hard work in scheduling and communicating throughout the process during the new norm we are working in. I am a first time patient and beyond pleased with the service I received here! I have an extremely rare condition that affects my facial nerves causing excruciating pain (Trigeminal Neuralgia). I was impressed Dr. Oaks was familiar and has treated patients with T.N. Both him and Alyssa my dental hygienist both took their time with my x rays and speaking with me about the best approach for my deep clean. Dr. Oaks even contacted my neurologist to ensure nothing was contraindicated with my medicine. It had been years since I had been to the dentist due to fear of pain and both were patient. Alyssa did a phenomenal job, and the fact that she researched my condition meant so much.

There was basically no wait for my appointment, Mary took time to review my insurance plan with me in detail, Gina did a great job with the x-rays and cleaning, and was very thorough but gentle with sensitive spots! I had to come in for my cleaning and I couldn’t be more happy with the service I got at Vitality Dental. Amanda was my hygienist and she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. She did a very thorough job of cleaning my teeth that to be honest, I probably didn’t give them the attention they deserved during the pandemic! After my cleaning, Dr. Oakes came in and explained in detail why I have been getting an occasional pain while chewing on the top left side of my mouth. It looks like I may be down for some additional work on that side. Ahhhh well, if I need to get the work done, I feel confident that Vitality will do a great job!

Vitality Dental had very nice, very professional staff, top notch facilities, and overall it was a good experience. HOWEVER, my only issue is how aggressive they seem to be in recommending procedures that may not be necessary. Other reviews have also mentioned this, but I experienced it first hand. I haven't had fillings of any kind in decades, had no issues with my last dentist in a different city, when all of a sudden Vitality recommended fillings, a crown, and wisdom tooth extraction. It was jarring to be recommended so many procedures all at once when my previous dentist had not recommended any of them (and these visits were only 6 months apart). I made my next cleaning appointment with a different dental office to get a second opinion to see if Vitality's recommendation was reasonable, and the second office recommended only one minor filling, nothing else (and they did not know that I was pursuing a second opinion). Vitality is a great place to visit and offers top notch service, but be prepared to spend money that you may not actually need to spend. It seems like they recommend a filling, crown, or procedure for anything less than perfect, and that approach just doesn't work for some people, myself included. If you have extra money to spend (or really, really good insurance) and want your teeth to be next to perfect, Vitality is the place to go.

I think it is a good thing for folks to sometimes see the negative posts that turn out to be a communication issue that a little understanding and discussion resolve, it keeps things real and this is is one of those cases. Now to give Doctor Oaks and my hygienist Gina full credit they sat down and explained to me that a general cleaning could open the gum up and allow the bacteria that is under the gums to get into the blood stream and cause a serious infection and that they were looking out for my partners health. Knowledge is power and I should know that so they talked me out of my overly protective/grumpy the bear state and I get why they declined to do a general cleaning. I realized today I've been going to them for almost 18 years now and today was a lesson learned or reminder to ask before you assume. This team truly does have the patient's well being at heart and they will take the time to make sure you understand. These people are wonderful and I would highly recommend them especially given the fact that they put up with me even when I am not in one of my more joking moods. Dr. Oakes and Dr. Huffines are dentists who practice with a superb sense of ethics and concern for quality and genuine patient care. As a pre-dental student who has been observing them over the past two months in their dental practice, I come away from this experience with a deeper appreciation for what it means to be an honest and ethical dentist. I had the chance to see these two dentists in a variety of situations with patients, and always they showed a genuine concern with the quality of dentistry their patients were receiving. I have no idea what their prices are like compared to other local dentists, but as someone who has experienced the "behind the scenes" workings of this dental office, I can confirm to any readers of this review that quality is top notch for these two dentists. I never saw them cut corners, deal unfairly with patients, or intentionally "over-diagnose" what didn't really need to be worked on (something my brother--a dentist in Arizona--has warned me about in dentistry). Lastly, the assistants and staff are wonderful and upbeat. From my perspective as an observer, the staff never failed to treat patients with the utmost care and concern. I don't see how you can go wrong by having this dental team take care of your precious teeth. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful friendly place made from what looked like an old residential house. I went in knowing they were going to need to pull all my teeth because I had been to 4-5 other offices. I'm rather young for this and the people here were all incredible. Heather's Bedside(chairside?) Manner is 10/10. The price for the operation is normally pricey, but since it was going to be over $10k they covered the xays on my first visit, and saved me about $1500 with their membership option which only cost 275 and covers 10-20% off so it was only $9k They also don't charge a rate of interest for care credit, and they explained everything perfectly on how payments would be made.
