I had a broken tooth and had not been to the dentist in many years, truthfully I was terrified of the dentist. I looked up an office and found Mid-City Dental and it was of walking dentist from my home. The reviews looked pretty good so I decided to come down. The entire staff that I encountered at this office are welcoming and accommodating. From the lovely ladies at the front desk, the dental assistants, the hygienist, and the dentist.. they all made me feel incredibly comfortable the entire process. It was greatly appreciated, I highly recommend this dental office if you are in the area.

This place is the best for everything. I have been with them for years. Amazing customer service and amazing follow up and work. They WILL FIX everything, from braces and all your treatments. MALIKA the hygienist is amazing. She will definitely clean your teeth. She discusses a lot of education. I always choose her because she does an amazing job. If you’re looking for a REAL cleaning then she is the right person. I come with here every 4 months because I love a great smile 😀 Other dental places fail to acknowledge the patient or educate. This place is run correctly. I drive an hour just to get my dental work done by this office 🔥

They're closer to home than my in-network dentist (~30 miles away), so I decided to give them a call. They set me up with an appointment right away, and they cleaned me right up. Highly recommend.

Malika the hygienist is nice and patient when it comes to cleanings and helping you to properly care for your teeth. It’ll behoove anyone to schedule your yearly cleanings with her and she is also happy to answer any of your concerns and questions. She’s helped me improve the overall health of my gums and brushing/flossing techniques.

I HIGHLY recommend Mid-City Dental , everyone was very professional and made sure to take care of me every step of the way ! Would like to mention Dr.Mercado and amazing assistant Wendy for providing possibly the smoothest and quickest tooth extraction all while pain free (big plus if you ask me) , and not to mention knowledgeable Dr.Taha and her amazing skills to pull off a difficult root canal in which my tooth refused to cooperate. This office communicated everything with me throughout the way and even had antibiotics and pain meds on site which made everything so much easier for me as a patient. There wasn’t a single moment I felt uncomfortable and feared experiencing one of those crazy dental stories you hear , I can definitely say I was well taken care of :)

Everyone is patient, kind, and welcoming. They are also very open and honest when doing the work and going over billing. I still have intense dental anxiety but Midcity Dental is the perfect place to go so that I can get the help with my teeth that I need. I can not recomend them enough.

A dentist visit is a nightmare for all of us. But not this time my visit today was different, I extracted one of the molars and literally felt nothing. Dr. Taha and her assistant Anthony R they are the best. They did a phenomenal job for real. My best experience. 💯 % recommended, Midcity Dental, The best!!! I went to the dentist with a lot of toothache and infection, after many years my root canal failed. Dra. Taha did my tooth extraction, pain free. Her hands are like "angel hands", because I have not felt any pain when she numbed my mouth. And the assistant Anthony, is polite and professional. If you are DIABETIC, do not delay in visiting the dentist, oral infections are not good.

The people here from the receptionist , the technicians, and the doctors, all care about you. The people here are extremely caring and will go that extra mile for you. My experience with this dental office has been amazing! I feel at home. The effort the medical staff places to make me feel at ease is very well heartfelt. My procedure had to take about eight months for healing and whatnot. Which is not bad considering the kind of things I had to get done. The measures and procedures that this office takes to assure that the patient is very well taken care of emotionally and physically is up to par in my standards. I’ve had my share of experiences elsewhere and they don’t seem to be empathetic as this office is with meeting my needs. The admin and staff connects well with the patients here. Dental staff was very kind, clean, and efficient. They have discounts for first timers. However be warned of their 'financial planner'. She called me 15 minutes after I walked out of the office saying "we should just go ahead with" one of the options after I had made it clear that I was unable to afford any of the options at this time. I told her this multiple times throughout our meeting - and she still thought calling me was appropriate! I found this extremely disrespectful since I had just left the office obviously discouraged only moments before. Its clear that she is in this for the money and not for the good of helping those that are not financially stable. If you are someone that needs financial assistance to afford care, don't go in without a stiff spine. Her patronizing attitude will try and push you into making a decision on the spot.

I started coming here a very long time ago when Dr. Guevara was still with the practice. It was a few years that went by before I went back and I am sooo happy I did! The staff is amazing! From the front desk (Alvic) to the dental assistants (Heather and Anthony) to the doctors (Dr. Mercado, Dr Taha) to the hygienist (Malika). Amazing communication between everyone and their client communication/care is wonderful, very respectful, sweet and calming. This dentist location is outstanding. The customer service is great, full of friendly and knowledgeable personnel. I recommend this location. I was nervous at first, but my nervousness quickly went away with the help of the dental hygienist, her soft hands, encouraging words, and knowledge helped me get through it without a problem! I also got a root canal, the doctor was extremely friendly, informative, and did an amazing job! I left with minor pain and ready to continue with my day. Update 12/26/2019 Last visit of the year, I had my cleaning appointment today and it was a great experience. The customer service is outstanding, everyone is friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The hygienist Ms. Elva was very helpful, informative, and funny. I highly recommend this location to anyone because I always have a great experience coming here.

Great overall experience. Front Desk, Talia and Joseph are hilarious and keep things simple. I was there for a deep cleaning, my Hygienist Lourdess was excellent! Got numbed in four areas and did not feel a thing. When the cleaning was over the instructions for maintenance were simple and easy to understand. Overall amazing experience here at Mid-City Dental. The manager there was cool! Jenny explained my treatment and took the time to talk about the importance of keeping my teeth healthy. Recommend anyone to call and make an appointment there.

This review is long overdue. I was looking for a good dentist to get my teeth in better health. My niece was working at mid-city dental and referred me. My first visit to the office was great, front staff was very welcoming. I saw Dr. Mercado for a full mouth exam which I had a full set of X-rays taken and a cleaning. Dr. Mercado created a treatment plan which he and the treatment coordinator went over with me. She offered me a payment plan with CareCredit which worked out perfectly. On the day of my treatment appointment Dr. Taha was the dentist who treated me. She was so good with explaining the procedure and letting me know what was next. She was gentle with the numbing part. The whole appointment was very comfortable I didn’t feel anxiety which I always feel when in the dental chair. On my next appointment which was a delivery of my permanent crowns. My crowns looked great!!! The anatomy and color of the crowns matched my permanent teeth perfectly. Dr. Taha was great with color matching my crowns. I am so happy with Dr. Taha and her work. I can finally say I have found my dentist and I can finally stop hopping from one dental office to another due to my bad experiences. Thank you Dr. Taha, Dr. Mercado and staff! FYI… I had a dental cleaning today with Malika the Hygienist, she was awesome. She was very gentle when using the cavitron since I’m very sensitive on some teeth. She also did hand scaling which was also great! My teeth feel very clean and smooth. Thank you Malika!!!

Wow what a great experience at Mid-City Dental. I first heard about them when I received a flyer in the mail. I decided to redeem my coupon and go in for a cleaning which was long overdue. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a lady at the front desk. She was very nice and asked if I had an appointment. I told her no, but to my luck she had a opening available. After taking my x-rays they suggested I do a deep cleaning. The doctor explained to me the best steps for keeping my teeth through the rest of my adult life. Although I knew my teeth needed some work, the doctor was very nice and didn’t make me feel bad. Overall I had a great experience. Everyone made me feel comfortable. The office is very clean and the bathroom smells good. Shows that they really maintain the place. Would definitely recommend anyone to come visit the clinic.

The receptionist are extremely friendly, I feel welcomed and important even before I come in. They call me to remind me of my appointment in a positive and friendly manner. Lourdes, the hygienist is so professional and knowledgeable. She takes the time to explain the procedure. And, most important she is so gentle that I have to say the cleaning of my teeth does not hurt me! Dr. Cunanan, also completed the examination in a calm and friendly manner. My experience was a very positive one! I will definitely continue to have my dental care taken care of at Mid City Dental office and I highly recommend it!

Everyone at Mid-City Dental is professional, friendly and sweet. Dr. Mercado is a great dentist. He explains the procedure(s) in details before he starts working on you and right before he starts working on you he makes sure you do not feel any pain or the least pain possible. The receptionists are so friendly and accommodating when it comes to scheduling and payment accommodations but what I love the most is that everyone here is bilingual. Both of my parents don’t speak English and I feel very comfortable scheduling them without the need to be present. As a busy daughter, I appreciate that a lot. I recommend anyone looking for a dentist to come here. You won’t regret it. They open Monday through Saturday. Ask for Bel, she’s the best at accommodating your scheduling needs. Also, tell Marina you read this review. She’s the office manager and the sweetest. I love how she treats their patients specially how treats the girls there.

I finally went in received my consultation and following week went in to have my teeth cleaned. Everyone is super nice here, when I had braces everyone explained the process and I felt super comfortable. It’s very sanitized, the decoration really adds a family friendly touch. The waiting time was not that long. The work the doctors did was perfect, it was worth two years of braces.

Mid city Dental has the most wonderful receptionists, they’re very friendly and clear. My monthly stop for orthodontic adjustment is usually quick and takes between 20- 40minutes. Usually I’m given my next appointment and payments are all set up before the treatment so it’s fast and efficient. The office environment is clean and quiet. The Dentists and staff are all really nice and thourough when explaining the process for that day. One thing I wish could change is that, Dr. Gamboa (the orthodontist) was more available throughout the month. Overall, this is my favorite dentist office, I will continue my dental needs even after my whole treatment is complete.

I can honestly say my experience at mid city dental was awesome. Dr Mercado and his staff are friendly and attentive. I was having extreme pain on my top left molar and was recommended a root canal procedure. There is a lot of stigma surrounding the idea of getting a root canal done, however Dr Mercado explained the whole procedure in detail to help me understand. The procedure itself was PAINLESS. I am so happy to have been recommended to this office and will be returning in the future for all my teeth needs! Thank you Dr Mercado, and staff!

Mid City Dental is a GREAT PLACE TO GO TO. I have never liked going to the dentist ever since I was a child and was always afraid of needles and even as a adult but in my life time I have had a few great experiences. I highly recommend MID CITY DENTAL. I didn't have dental insurance and I had a infected tooth and I tried to hold on as long as I could and I probably would of never had my tooth pulled because I'm not a big fan of having my teeth pulled. But my mom found this dental office and called them. They told my mom to bring me in right away and the doctor told me that I needed to have the tooth pulled because I had a impacted tooth and infection and he explained to me the importance of why I needed to come back. Because you can actually die from dental disease. But he told me that my tooth wasn't that bad but to come back when I have the money. They seen me for free and did exrays for free. I bought some over the counter medicine to last me until I had the money to have my tooth pulled. But the staff and everyone is very up going and professional. They really care about you and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. When I was ready to go back the staff welcomed me in and treated me very nicely and got me in right away to have the infected impacted too removed. I didn't have dental insurance but they do have low income and it only cost me 190$. Which other dentist 🦷 wanted 400-800$ and I would of never got my tooth pulled. It has been a long and painful event until I meet everyone at Mid City Dental. Everyone has been so awesome. I never seen this coming. It is nice to know there are people there for you when you need them when nobody else is there to turn to. DR .Tana the doctor that pulled my tooth seen me right away and she guided me through the process of removing my tooth, she was very understanding, informative, and talked to me in a professional way, and made my experience of having my tooth pulled fun , she gave me medicine to numb my tooth and some medicine so I wouldn't feel any pain at all and I waited until I couldn't feel anything. She talked to me thoughout the whole process. It was very fun and I had no idea how fast it was going to take to have my tooth pulled. In no time at all, my tooth was already pulled. I felt no pain at all. I didn't even no my tooth had been pulled. DR TANA DID A AMAZING JOB. She is a expect and professional. She is my HERO!!!!! I am no longer in pain. I had the best dental experience of my life. She gave me instructions of what to do after my tooth has been pulled and I have a appointment to come back. But overall. I would come here because there is absolutely no other dentist 🦷 to go to then this one. This is the best PLACE TO GO TO. They care about their patients and don't want them to suffer. They get you in right away and no make you wait in pain. Thank you!!!! This place is a life saver!!!

He was told before that all his teeth needed to be removed due to bone loss and this was the first dentist that told him there was an option where he could keep all his teeth. They have really taken care of him. Lourdes is amazing! You need to go to her. I came today for the first time and she was so detailed in everything she did. This intent of this review is to share my experience with those contemplating whether or not to visit Mid-City Dental. The experience includes a detailed entry of the compassion and respect of the staff. I neglected to put an emphasis in my oral hygiene for most of my life. As a result, I was in danger of losing my teeth. My teeth had always caused me angst, since I was too afraid and embarrassed to do anything about them - including going to the dentist. My biggest fear was how the dentist was going to react; whether he/she would judge me, make me feel bad, etc. I can wholeheartedly say that the doctors and hygienist here at Mid-City Dental are the most emphatic people I've ever met. When I was getting my teeth examined by Dr.Mercado, I began crying uncontrollably. As I was crying, he stopped and had a heart to heart conversation with me. Essentially, he gave me a detailed scope of work that was going to take place and assured me that it will all be a pain free experience - that being my biggest fear. A couple of weeks pass by, and now I go into my first of many visits to get my teeth worked on. Dr.Cunanan introduces herself to me and explains how the procedure will go; she then tells me if I feel any pain or need a break, to raise my hand and she will immediately stop. If I ever had any questions, she would gave a detailed answer. She would notice when I was overwhelmingly anxious/ scared and would reassure me that everything will be painless. After multiple visits, my teeth are now something akin to a Colgate smile(compared to what they looked like before). The hygienists have the same compassion and respect when cleaning your teeth. In essence, I want to thank Dr. Mercado, the hygienists and staff for always making a visit to a dental office painless and enjoyable. I especially want to personally thank Dr. Cunanan for her incredible display of professionalism and her willingness to not only repair my teeth, but enable me with resources to ensure that my oral hygiene improves. By answering all my questions and giving me mini lectures on how to improve oral hygiene, I can rest easy knowing that my teeth will never look like they once did. As a result, I gave up soda, juice(any drink that isn't water), and other harmful food that damages enamel. This has had lead to substantial improvements in my life such as being more healthier, my mental health has improved now that my teeth are no longer in danger of falling/rotting, and especially my social life because I am no longer embarrassed about the way my teeth look. Thanks to everyone at Mid-City Dental for their world class service.

Found Midcity Dental through Medi-Cal. And from the first day everyone was super friendly and they really made you feel like they cared about your long term tooth health. Many other clinics don't seem to really let you in on the specifics of your treatment, but they were super diligent about explaining my treatment and my dad's in a way that was easy for us to understand. I've been a patient of this deltal clinic since 2002. Coworkers introduced me to it and since the very first visit I felt very confortable and very well served by everyonend. I've continued coming mostly twice a year and things have changed over the years but the most significant changed that I have noticed was in late 2018. The staf seems to be more dedicated to making sure patients get the most out of the consultations and services provided by the clinic. One very nice thing after my last visit was to receive a hand-written letter from Francis. He was not only very very nice but he also did a great job during my visit; his letter was the cherry on top of the cake!!! Most people have dentophobia; if you do, I assure you that the staff at Mi-City Dental will make you forget that you are at a dental office. Their services are an unmeasurable value for what you pay. Prior to my visit every morning i would wake up with a mouthful of blood that i would have to cough up for months. From bloody gums to having a decaying tooth and bone eating bacteria in my gums. For the longest time my bottom front tooth was slowly getting darker and darker from the gum area which for me, gave me insecurity to even show my teeth. I recently visited Mid-City Dental for a routine cleaning and check-up, and I couldn't be happier with my experience today. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff. I didn't have to wait long before being called in for my appointment. My hygienist was incredibly thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. She was gentle and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire cleaning. When it was time to see the dentist, she was equally as attentive and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain any issues she found and offered recommendations for how to address them. She explained my dental treatment step by step. Overall, I had a great experience at Mid - City dental. The staff was professional and I left feeling like my oral health was in good hands. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.

My gums were irritated and feeling inflamed and my usual dentist was fully booked for the day. I found Mid City dental within 5 minutes of my house and they were more than willing to accommodate me same day since my gums were irritated. They found out I had gingivitis and although I was scared, the doctor was so reassuring and made me feel safe about the next steps that needed to be taken. Literally was completely better the next day and completely healed. I truly trust Mid city dental and love the staff at the front desk and the doctors + nurses. Would recommend to anyone!
