For the first time there was no kicking and screaming or crying, during procedures or when leaving the facility! I am extremely happy my son left happy. Originally he went in very nervous all his dental experiences have been brutal, here at Children’s Dental FunZone, he was acknowledged and explained what would be done and how it works with care and love, he was included in his own care if he wanted to help and felt proud, he was also given the space to express his feeling and cry, that it was okay to feel nervous and scared, staff took their time to how things work and what would be done to him. Thank you! Once again our first great dental experience!! Facility is clean, staff has best customer service ever experienced! We are definitely going back!!! 💗

I have been taking my kids to Children’s Dental Fun Zone for the past three years and the level of service we have received is absolutely amazing. The staff is friendly, professional, and accommodating, the space is impeccably clean, and my kids actually look forward to their appointments. The technicians are highly skilled and immediately put them at ease. Yes it sometimes gets crowded and there can be a bit of a wait in the afternoons but it’s worth it. I drive 25-30 minutes out of the way just to come here since all the other places I’ve tried have felt dishonest and like they didn’t really care. I’m so glad we found a great place where my kids are treated with genuine care and concern.

Children's Dental FunZone it's just amazing with great staff. I have been taking my daughter since she was a little girl she's 16 now. and always a pleasure to go there. they take their time explaining everything they are going to do to my daughter. all the workers are so sweet and great workers. I highly recommend them.❤️

One daughter says: ‘the prizes, the fish (aquarium in the lobby) and the movies were very fun and exciting.’ Another daughter says: ‘I loved the papers in my mouth (x-ray), the fuzzy things they put in my mouth after cleaning my teeth, and everything they did to my teeth.’ I say: this is absolutely the best experience we have had at the dentist. Such a relief. The entire staff was kid-friendly, attentive, highly communicative, engaging, encouraging and gentle with my daughters. We will definitely return, and refer as many children and families as possible!

This was my sons second visit. As a four year old it can be a scary place to visit. I prepared him in advance of what to expect. Arriving here the dental assistants were very nice along with the dentist. He warmed up To them quick. I believe their tone of voice and constant praising Helps with the process. Good job!

The staff is super duper friendly and sociable with the fact my 3 year old toddler learning and exploring. The organization is very impressed with the children. They did such a great job on my youngest son who has always been problematic at the dentist. They explain everything before hand so the kiddos feel comfortable. We were glad they didn’t have to fully sedate him to do the work. The whole staff is talented, friendly, and easy to work with.

By far the best children’s dentist I’ve been too. I called Saturday to see if they were accepting new patients and they were able to take me in Monday. It is not easy going to the dentist with a 4 year old but they were patient and friendly with my son. I am glad I found this dentist office! Overall, it was a great experience.

I’ve been bringing my children to Children’s Dental Fun Zone since they were 5, they’re now 15! Both my kids state they’ll continue to come to this dentist until they’re told they can’t lol. We’ve always felt comfortable with the staff ( especially Carlos 🥰) and attentiveness. Even though my kids are teens, the staff makes them feel just as they did when they were small children. Great and friendly staff and we love the new location.

We took my son to his first dental check up here and I couldn’t be happier. I was nervous not knowing how my son will do during the visit. We were late and the practice accommodated us. The dentist and all the staff we interacted with show that they knew how to work kids. I was glad we found this pediatrician dental office.

I love this dentist! I have been bringing my now 5 1/2 year old since he was 2 for cleanings and check ups. The office recently relocated and it is even better than before. This was my first visit at the new location. Parking was easy and the staff as friendly as ever, it was super clean. I like how the area where treatment is provided is open and you can see what is being done. The dentist is always so nice and patient during my child's cleaning, he has sensory issues with textured foods and drinks and never has issues during his visits.

I have been taking my kids to Children's Dental FunZone for the past 8 years now. They have recently moved to a new location just down the street and I can't rave enough about how much we love it there!! First, the new location is easy to access with ample parking (and it is right next to our church). The front office staff is friendly and professional. The entire decor of the office is eye appealing and kid friendly. Everyone there is so friendly and professional...it made me think of applying there (haha..I'm a registered nurse). My kids actually like going there and they receive great care. I highly recommend Children's Dental FunZone if you're looking for a pediatric dentist office!!!

Took my almost 2 1/2 year old son to the dentist for the first time. He loved the fish tank in the lobby, the staff was friendly, the exam rooms were colorful and best of all the doc was very animated and helped my son feel comfortable and ready to clean his teeth! Great experience

My son had an appointment today at 3pm and it took a hour for them to call my son I noticed other patients where going ahead and they arrived after me it was busy but I stood in the lobby waiting and finally I went to the front desk and asked what was going on well the girl that took us in said she called out my son name 3 times and I know for sure she didn't I saw her call 3 other patients but not mine I'm sorry but I'm sitting out there waiting why would I sit there for an hour. I was so mad I spoke to the Manger she said she will speak to the girl. Other then this experience I love taking my son there he's been going there since he was 3 he's now 5. I don't know if it's because of the new move of location but I hope this doesn't happen again or I'm going to find another place

My son is 6 years old and was apprehensive about his dentist appointment. Turns out he had no cavities despite the little sweet tooth he has! The team was so friendly and thorough and made Joey feel so comfortable. I kid you not, when we left he said “thank you for taking me to the dentist!” Probably because of the toy, balloon and stickers he got! Not to mention the great care from the dentist and staff!

Overall nice and clean. Staff is friendly. Gave 4 stars because the 20 minutes of waiting became 45 minutes of waiting. They were short staff today so we understood. At least they show kids movies to help with the boredom kids get from waiting.

Holding for over 12 mins to book an appointment is what I now consider worth the wait. This staff and team genuinely put forth their best efforts in providing kids with the best dental care. They’re definitely a committed staff determined to help parents keep their child on task with oral care. Management is always willing to help and listens. This office cares.

My daughter was very scared of visiting the dentist but the doctor was not only patience with her but friendly and understanding. The dental assistant was beyond sweet and took her time calming my daughter and making sure she was comfortable. The new location is an improvement. Parking is just behind the facility, but cross the street. Which the walk isn't far. The space is better. Once your child is called and seated in the dental chair, you can sit by your child. The only thing I did not like was that there are no separators between the dental chair (6 in a row). I personally felt the setting was not giving clients the privacy. I hear chatter chaos. But if they decide to separate each client chair with a blind curtain, it would feel more better.

This was my first time here and I absolutely loved how they took care of my daughter's teeth. The staff there was really nice and helpful they made me and my daughter feel special. They sang for her so she can calm down, they gave her a toy, and they acknowledged her. My daughter tends to not like the doctors or mostly anybody touching her face but I know that after she was excited to learn about her teeth. Thank you so much to the all the staff here, they were really great, and would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a dentist for their little ones. These guys are awesome.

I wish they had this when I was a kid! The location in Eagle Rock is our go-to Dental experience for all three of our kids. My youngest daughter wears hearing aids and on our very first visit when she was a tiny tiny kid there was Juan Carlo who came to clean her teeth... and he was wearing hearing aids. He had a long discussion about his experiences with his hearing aids. So when we left I had happy kids and for weeks afterwards our kids talked about how nice he was and how funny he was and how perfect it was that he understood what it was like for our little girl. Don't know who Smiles werea bigger - his or hers or the siblings. The twins went back today and Juan Carlo was not there so the doctor took a picture of our little sweetheart and sent it to him to make him feel better!

Took my son here. He is on the spectrum. He did so awesome here. The staff was great with him. The doctors were phenomenal with our son. Our son was a bit nervous for the cleaning but got comfortable after, even let the doctor fix a cavity which never happens on the spot. My 9 yr old was scheduled for an appointment today Saturday march 12. I called in to scheduled it 1or 2 days ago and someone canceled so i was able to take the slot. Our appointment was at 8am we arrived at 8:01am and were out of the office by 8:34am. Keep in mind my 9yr old went in for a routine check and cleaning, no cavities were found. They also moved to a new location which appears to be new. The facility look clean for the most part, only thing I notice was the floors need to be cleaned and there were some stains on the ceiling. After xrays there are 6 chairs in a large room where patients get checked. I only didn't like how the chairs are a little too close to eachother.

My daughter just went to the dentist for the first time and everything went so smoothly. The person that cleaned her teeth and took her x rays was so nice and super kid friendly. I wished I would of gotten his name. He took his time to show her what he was going to do before he did it. I definitely will be coming here again. It was clean and well staffed. It does get busy but like I said it is well staffed so it doesn’t take long to be called in.

I Highly recommend CDFZ in eagle rock. My daughter is 3 years old and her first dental visit. The Doctor and the assistants are really did a good job, they are so gently, kind, amazing and super kid’s friendly. I love seeing my daughter that she enjoyed and cooperative during her treatment. It was our first time! Came here with my 7 year old abs 2.5 year old. The desk staff was so nice and helpful, dental hygienist Julio was incredibly kind and sweet and our Dentist Dr. G was friendly and warm! All around a great experience. My kids loved the fish tank, art on the walls, TVs and of course the toy at the end. Parking was so easy too

Best dental establishment ever! Every time, the staff is so sweet and the dentists and assistants are kind, knowledgeable and gentle. My daughter can take a shot with no gas necessary under their care because they keep a calm, clean, efficient environment. But if your child is fearful of dental work they offer laughing gas. That is exactly what happen to me, I had a terrible experience and when I came to Children's Dental Fun Zone, Changed my idea about dentist more importantly my children. They love coming here. We've been coming to this Dental office for year's. Today, Darlene was our Assistant. Darlene is a wonderful and very professional Dental assistant. My daughter wasn't feeling too well after having her teeth cleaned due to a medical condition. Darlene was attentive and was very concerned. She took great care of my daughter. She's amazing!! The staff is pretty awesome here, but today the service of care was above and beyond.

UPDATE: I would give 10 stars if I could. My daughter just had to have a root canal done and a crown. She is almost 4 years old, and I was so nervous but didn't let her know. I did lots of prep work with my daughter to help her get ready emotionally during the day leading up to her visit. But this dentist is the reason that the procedure went so so well. They have an amazing way of explaining to children in a way that is not at all scary. They accommodated me to help her relax as best I could (watching a show, headphones that I brought connected to the tablet I held for her, and I held her hand). I can't believe it, but I can honestly say the whole staff is incredible. I love them all. Thank you, I am so grateful for this office! 💕🙌🏻 Original review: The wait is a little long but so worth it. They are so gentle and good with children. I didn't feel rushed when my 2 year old was too scared, we were able to bring her around with patience and different strategies. We have been twice and we will continue to come to this dentist!

Went in on emergency base due to pain for my son overnight. It was not our first visit here but amazing people work here. The doctor was great and very gentle with my son who has had a lot of dental work in the past and is a little traumatized. The hygienist Jasmin was so fantastic and did a great job with my son and depending time with him about what needed to be done and explained what was going to happen and explained all the tools and let him touch them to calm him down. Thank you all always for making my son feel so at ease.

However, I wish the wait could be shorter or that they could have us wait in our car (during COVID) and call us when they are ready for us. My kids have been patients since 2011 and 2015. My son is now also an ortho patient and the orthodontist has been amazing. Also, shout out to Adriana, Julio, and Carlos. My kids and I love them! Adriana is so gentle and understanding which has allowed for a smooth and positive ortho visit. Julio is amazing; always full of smiles and a positive attitude. As for Carlos, he is more than words can describe. Both of my kids have been treated by him since they started going and they have such a strong connection with him. I like that DFZ sends out forms to be filled out online the night before your appointment. It also includes a Covid checklist. When there, a staff member is seated by the door and check temps before entry. We have been seeing Dr. Andy Kang for the last two check ups. Dr. Kang has the visuals of a KPop Idol. He has great energy, a positive attitude and just super nice. He is also very informative and knowledgeable. My daughter had two teeth extractions last visit and he was informative to what he was doing step by step. This made her less nervous, what a relief! He always takes the time to explain to me what is going to happen and gave me instruction on the aftercare. I also liked that I could ask him questions and I didn’t feel rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Kang to friends and others who are looking for an all around great Pediatric Dentist. We also love Dr. H Yoon, but she only works specific days so check with front staff for her availability. Overall care at DFZ is excellent. All staff, including front , X-ray and cleaning services were outstanding.

This place is always great. Today we took all 3 kids, ages 11, 9 and 3. It was the 3 year olds first visit and she was put at ease from the beginning. Julio is phenomenal, he sang the abcs and itsy bitsy spider to my daughter to distract her while he cleaned the teeth. Every time we see him he always has a huge smile on his face, you can tell through the mask. He’s so upbeat and genuinely sweet and kind to the kids. I’m so thankful we found this office, wait times sometimes can suck, but the personal care received is well worth the wait. We will be patients here for the foreseeable future!

This really is a top notch place to take your kids. The staff is just amazing, kind and really knows how to work with their little patients. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that we have to always wait. Even when I'm early and my daughters appointment is at a specific time, we rarely get into see the dentist/hygienist less than 30 minutes past our appointment time. But other than that? I love this place, enough that I'm willing to put up with the wait!

This place is the best! My little ones (3 and 4) love coming here to get their teeth cleaned and have their check-ups. We’ve been twice now, and Estephania this time, and Julio, last time are incredibly talented with children, and compassionate, and really good at what they do! My kids look forward to coming here, because they love playing with the toys in the waiting room with the other kids, and I trust the dentists, who are also talented at working with children and families. The only drawbacks for me can be the fairly long wait, and that they’re talking about doing X rays on a 4 year old, every 6 months. We declined x-rays and the dentist confirmed they’re not necessary yet, but it feels like we’re going to be scheduled for them and it’s going to be ‘a thing’ every time. Other than that though, I can’t fault the facility, and all the people who work there, are amazing. Oh and they have great toys for the kiddos after their appointments!

Prior to visiting this place my child acquired phobia of medical personnel and “rubber gloves”:) in her earlier experiences at a hospital, and as a result was having extremely reactive responses toward any doctor unfortunately:( But all personnel at Kid’s dental fun Zone appeared so professional and empathic toward my child that we had all the necessary procedures done and left the place very happy. One RDA whose name was Jasmine worked with my child for half an hour almost like a child psychotherapist; same did the doctor; I couldn’t be more appropriative! Great experience! My daughter has a fracture front tooth and was terrified to go to the dentist. We came to Children's Dental FunZone by recommendation from a friend, and it was the best decision we made. The staff was incredibly friendly and wonderful with my daughter, the environment is very relaxing and even FUN!, and the dentists were great! They were very positive in their words and methods. She was totally relaxed and event went home telling her friends about how fun it was and how she didn't feel anything. This was a potentially traumatic experience for my 6 year old, and they turned it into a good memory for my little one. I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends and family!

Great all around! We were pleasantly greeted in a lovely kid friendly office! They have a mural of zoo animals painted on the wall, an aquarium, stuffed animals everywhere - definitely makes kids feel welcome coming in there! It was my daughter's first visit to the dentist and although she was a bit anxious through the visit, they did everything to calm her down and she even got a toy to take home. The dentist was SUPER patient with her and it didn't phase him that she didn't want him to check her teeth. Bottom line, I wholeheartedly recommend this office! Clean, Friendly, Thorough is the words to describe this office. My son usually cries his lungs out when strangers like his doctor when they try to check his mouth. Not in this case, My son 2 years old had no issues and no tantrum. The dentist knew what to do right away, they sat us in a room, let him pick out a cool toy, they informed me to have him sit on me for the procedure and my son took well to it all! The dentist was able to check and brush his teeth with no problem, you can tell the staff loves what they do. They really did make a connection with my son. Love it already! They paid so much attention to detail, took their time with my daughter(4yo) to explain everything to her about what was going on, what they were doing and how it was going to happen. I know for a fact we found her permanent dentist (at least until she’s 18) :b can’t wait to take her back for her 6 month checkup, she loved that they had a fish tank, iPads to play on, colorful walls, and gifts she could pick from at the end.

The staff is always wonderful, but unfortunately I had gotten there about 10 minutes early with my six year old, who had the actual appointment, along with my 2 year old and my 87 year old grandma. We had to wait almost an hour for the appointment to get started. They did give us a private room for my daughter's cleaning, but it was a long wait, plus I had just broken my toe that morning, so it made the wait that much harder. Over all it was an ok experience. I do feel they stacked the appointments too close together which resulted in the long wait; the waiting room was packed. A few less booking would make a big difference. But again....the staff is amazing and we'll be back.

This is a good place for kids, frustrating as a parent. They over book. The place is packed wall to wall with waves of kids and unhappy looking parents. I'm one of them. I bring six kids to this place. I try to book their appointments together to make it convenient. But they make it inconvenient by seeing my kids one at a time. They want to squeeze us all into one corner, keeping us waiting while they warehouse other patients on the other chairs they could be using to get us out quickly. Overall, I am content with this facility. However, I was concerned for the lack of instruction provided to my son on how to brush his teeth while having braces when we first started coming here almost a year ago. We haven’t been able to come in due to Covid-19 and as a mother, I tried my best to assist my son with his dental hygiene. Mind you, I’m no expert. Today, after I brought up the fact my son’s gums were inflamed and how I tried to help clean them, was I instructed how to properly assist him with the appropriate technique in brushing his teeth, the length, and amount of times this should be done on a daily basis. Had I known this before, my son’s gums would possibly not have been as bad as they were today.

Dr. Mo and his Assistant Scotty were incredible in the handling of my 5 year old daughters dental care. She never had any work done prior to this so I was very anxious at the onset. She got a molar pulled, a filling and two crowns. We got it done in two visits and we were able to complete all the work with great results. Dr. Mo and Scotty treated her as if she was their own child. They were very in tune and communicative with myself and my daughter about her needs and wants and this made it so much more comfortable. They allowed my two year old son to snack and roam while the work was getting done, so that I could sit with my daughter and hold her hands. The TV set up is great for when the operation is in progress and the toy rooms were also very helpful so no one got bored. My daughter cried during the novicane shots and at the start of the operation because she didn't want to wear the cup on her nose (which gives her the laughing gas) but the moment they started she calmed down and was very cooperative and watched the movie that was on. Dr. Mo moved really quickly and showed me everything he was doing as he went along. I feel my daughters dental health is in very good hands and I am thankful I came to Kids Fun Zone initially for a second opinion. Ps: Shout out to Ada at the front desk, who just had her third child and was so sweet and helpful through the whole process. I didn't get the names of the others who did the digital x-rays, but they were also really great. Overall, a great experience, despite how traumatic dental work can be for the little ones.

So my daughter is traumatized from going to another dentistry. She kicks and screams and gets crazy. This place took the time to talk to my daughter, plead with her, that it wasn’t going to hurt. They didn’t treat my daughter like she was just money, but an actual person with feelings. I see a lot of bad reviews about how long they take, but I beg every parent (from experience), let them take their time to do a good job. Don’t go for a rushed job where your child’s teeth end up falling out and getting infected (which happened to her from past dentistry). I love this place and won’t be going anywhere else. Let them take their time, it’s your child’s smile on the line.

My 3-year old came here on referral, and the dentist diagnosed enamel hyperplasia, and we had to get several crowns and baby root canals for her. The office was great in coordinating the details of insurance, anesthesia, and calming my concerns for this procedure, and even coming out to keep me updated during the procedure itself. Only concern was that we had to wait nearly 1.5 hours past the scheduled time (9:00 am) to begin, which was tough because she hadn't been allowed to eat since dinner the night before, and she was just waiting around super hungry till they were ready for us. Wish they would have told us they were running late when we first showed up, at least to set expectations.

In my experience with my daughter which she is (two years old ) its hard for a toddler to let themselves do xrays , or any teeth work , but the girls (dentist assistants) in this dentist office are VERY HELPFUL AND NICE they made her feel comfortable enough to have them do xrays and have all the work we needed to do . I would give this practice a higher rating if they didn't 1) ask you to sign consent forms electronically, sight unseen [the verbal summary they give you does not cover every clause that you are blindly signing] and 2) if the office manager and the corporate HR person understood the law better and didn't insist that I sign a consent form that clearly gives them the right to use restraints, even though they were telling me verbally that they wouldn't do it. Our appointment was delayed 90 minutes, as I 1) asked for them to actually print the consent forms for me to read and 2) went in circles with them to let me amend a consent to exclude the clause that gives them consent to use restraints. After repeatedly speaking to a manager and the corporate HR person, they ended up doing the written amendment exactly as I'd asked. That said, the procedure of extracting two teeth, that were painfully blocking two others from coming in, went quickly and very smoothly. My son said he didn't feel a thing! Dr. Mejia and Virginia were amazing with him. So, aside from playing games on the tablets in the waiting room and watching a movie in the exam room "for a billion years" he really enjoyed the visit!

The reviews for the orthodontist was for the dental group he was part of, not for him specifically. The three stars are for our experience with the technicians and the doctor. When children think about dentistry work, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and scared; however staff at the Eagle Rock location seem to have mastered the technique to keep children coming in for their appointments. My GF took her son Justin to Children s Dental Fun zone in west Covina. Justin, like most kids has a very hard time with dentists and its been a nightmare getting him to go. She told me that Dr Rodef has a way with kids and after several minutes Justin felt comfortable and relaxed. What blew me away was that the Dr. called her that evening to ask how Justin was feeling. Now that is something else.

Calling in and making appointments is hard, no one answers the phones or returns voicemails. You can not do online appointments and there is no one returning online emails for questions or appointment requests to reschedule, including corporate...smh..Besides that, the environment is great for children.
