It’s been about a year and and a half since my last visit and I decided to go through Newman again even though I live 35 minutes away. I was scheduled very swiftly and was able to work with the front desk when I came down with COVID. When entering I was greeted right away. The dental assistant was very friendly and remembered me from last time. She took the best impression I’ve ever seen! She was overall very helpful. Doctor M. Newman handled my visit well and helped me get a new partial made. This visit was much better than last and will make me continue to bring my dental needs to Newman! Thanks a lot guys!

Dr. Newman and his staff were very friendly and the wait time was short upon arrival. I was there for a tongue tie and lip tie procedure for my 2 week old daughter. I had already been to Dr. Newman previously for the same thing with my son a year ago. Dr Newman explained the procedure and after care very well and was attentive to any concerns or questions I may have had. I would definitely recommend his office! Great and positive experience each time I’ve been! Such wonderful staff as well!

Dr Newman and his staff are fantastic. We had an appointment for my babies lip and tongue tie in a week, I emailed Dr Newman asking if we could get in sooner because we were having so much trouble with our baby. Dr Newman got us in the next day! He understands how stressful life is with a tongue/lip tied baby. He explains everything and was so gentle with our baby. I love that his office has an emergency phone option! I would highly recommend!

The dental assistant that took us back initially made us feel so comfortable and was very positive. She explained the entire process to us that we would go through before the actual procedure we were having done was performed. Dr. Mikel Newman made us feel very comfortable as well. He was very knowledgeable and when I expressed how nervous I was, he met my anxiety with facts and was very confident- something that eased some of my anxiety. After the frenectomy was complete, they graciously let us hang out in one of the offices so I could nurse and even came to check on us to see if they could get us anything. Highly recommend.

Dr. Mikel Newman and the dental staff were incredibly kind with my very anxious 12 year old daughter for her frenectomy. My daughter said the assistant let her hold her hand when she was nervous during the procedure. The dental procedure was successful and we received excellent treatment and very clear instructions for follow up. I highly recommend this office.

After struggling tremendously with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, gas pain, etc., we got a referral from our local lactation consultants. We were relieved to be seeing someone that we could trust with our little babe regarding experience in the specific area of ties and had such great reviews and testimonies when I researched. Dr. Mikel Newman took great care of our little girl for her lip and tongue ties. The office ladies were also extremely helpful with answering all of the questions I had about the process and insurance (ours was covered by medical). We felt informed and are thankful and hopeful that this will help with our breastfeeding journey and as she grows older!

We were told our son was possibly tongue and lip tied. We thought about having it taken care of locally but decided we had to drive the two hours and go see Dr. Mikel Newman. This was not our first experience with him. Our daughter was lip tied and Dr. Newman was the one to fix it. She was 1 1/2 years old when we fixed hers (and our experience was amazing) but now we were bringing our 7 week old. Of course as a parent you are always nervous. However, both times we have been there we have had great experiences with the staff. They are extremely knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. Dr. Newman explained everything he saw and when it was time for the procedure it took about 5 minutes. When we got home that night, my husband and I had a question. so I emailed Dr. Newman and he responded in less than 15 mins at 9:00 on a Friday night! We are so grateful for Dr. Newman and his staff!!!

My teeth feel clean! Amanda was excellent. Only downside is that it took forever to get an appointment. They seem to be saturated with patients, which is a good thing when you’re providing excellent service. The downside is that for long-time patients like my family (20+ years) it’s disheartening to feel like we can’t count on the same timely appointments that we’ve been accustomed to over the years. I recognize that dentists in particular are backlogged because of the Covid factor, so my feedback is just an observation, not a criticism. While I’ve never ever thought of changing providers, I have resigned myself to adopt a patient and flexible mindset to remain with the practice. The family of dentists have faithfully cared for my family, and I am deeply grateful for that!

This office is so amazing! They came highly recommended when my daughter had a lip and tongue tie, and I now know why. They were originally booked out for a week, and I was willing to wait at first, but our nursing became progressively harder to handle. When I called them (with my newborn crying in the background) to ask if there was any possible way to get us in sooner, they fit us in that very day! They were very professional and quick, and even let us stay with our baby girl for the procedure. They didn’t have to do any of that, I am extremely grateful. I will recommend them to anyone with tie issues!

During this visiting, I was not impressed with the dental hygienist. She was a float. She was thorough with education but somewhat abrupt overall. It seemed as if she quickly moved through my cleaning including "jabbing" my gums in which I have never had happened in any of my dental cleanings. Normally, I have a good experience during my visits. So I will chalk this one up to just one not so great visit.

Went to this provider for my infant's tongue tie surgery. This office provides all patient paperwork prior to appointment to reduce wait time in the lobby; explained upfront costs and insurance payments as well. Once we arrived, the staff was friendly and professional. The environment was welcoming and clean. The DDS was explanatory of the surgery and provided pictures and demonstrations of aftercare. The office also provided follow up options such as in person or online. They provided paperwork to assist in providing the aftercare appropriately to reduce the need for a second surgery.

My child has been in foster care about 7 year off and on and is now 11. He is tongue tied and no one noticed until he moved in with us 3 months ago. He also has oppositional defiance disorder very bad. It doesn’t take much to set him off. I was very nervous taking him to have the procedure done because of how he might react, and he was nervous about having it done. The doctor and his assistant were very calming with my son. They also allowed him to bring his weighted blanket and that helped a lot. I can’t thank them enough for making his experience so good, and for being so patient with him and answering all of his questions. I would recommend anyone to take their child there.

The office staff are always friendly & knowledgeable. My hygienist Amanda is very good at responding to my needs. This includes; how sensitive my teeth and gums are; positioning me for lower back support and how much horizontal my sinuses, head and neck can tolerate. I had to later that day adjust my next cleaning appointment. I used the patient portal and I was able to keep the same day and get one of the time options I requested. They all have treated me the same whether I self paided or used insurance. I can't say enough about my experience at Newman Family Dentistry.

Finding a dentist you trust is hard, like finding a stylist you trust. This is a thoughtful dentistry. They even saved my child from unnecessarily being put under anesthesia at the age of 3 for pits in her front two teeth from breastfeeding at night. They aren’t out to just bill you or your insurance company (evil), THEY ARE OUT TO HELP PEOPLE! That’s increasingly hard to find in this world. I am thankful for this awesome family of dentists. P.S. We went through hell to get my daughter diagnosed with a lip tie. I mean seriously; I was feeling so hopeless and defeated. Noone would take me seriously. Come to find out she had a bad tounge tie also. DR Newman was recommended by MANY people and him and his team was nothing short of amazing. Dr Newman rereleased my daughter's severe tongue and lip tie. The first time was done by an ENT, but we saw no improvement. Dr Newman did it with a laser (so so so much better that scissors) and then had us do tongue and lip stretches. DO THEM! I don't care if your tired, I don't care if your kid hates them, I don't care if it's 3am, just do them. I was there, I've been bitten, I've been exhausted, my kid hated them, it was worth it. My next kid will be here within days of their arrival.
