I suffer severe anxiety with going to the dentist for anything and I was looking for a new dentist and found Edgewood family dentistry. The ladies at this office are amazing. They are so sweet they understand that people have dental anxiety and they explain everything to you thoroughly. I will be going back and taking my children there. They are amazing.

I feel relieved and excited to have found a dental office with such a welcoming staff. In my first visit to any dentist in a long time, I quickly gained trust that their team of dental assistants, hygienists, and dentist Ashley would take good care of me and my teeth. Update 9/28/22: Having paid several visits with regular appointments over the past couple of years, I can stand by my 5 star rating. The providers and staff are very friendly and professional. They have given me education and feedback over time that has led to my improved dental health/hygiene. I appreciate their teamwork approach and ability to address any issues that are identified the same day of my scheduled cleaning. Ashley and the interim dentist do excellent work, as do the hygienists. If you don't have a dental provider or don't like your dental provider, just go ahead and call Edgewood. They'll take care of you.

On time, most staff are professional, dental assistant didn’t introduce herself. Her cleaning was more rigorous than I have had in the past. Didn’t realize there was a new dentist until I arrived. Would be nice if notified prior to appointment, like when appointment was confirmed.

So OMG!!! There is not enough stars on here to really give a TRUE rating. The front office was right to it and friendly. When I got back to the exam room it can be alittle nerve racking but having a great conversation with the assistant helps and not to mention showed me all my prices up front, so that one bad review on here is wrong. By the way, very clean and comfortable. The dentist was busy but still showed me care and took time to go over a treatment plan. Over all, they worked with my scedule and perfect location to afterwards get your groceries if you know what I mean. I enjoyed it. They are good. I finally found my dentist. Smiley face.

Dr. Lock and her staff are all really easy to work with. I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist due to some anxiety but her staff has made that pretty easy. Today I was treated by Jordyn and she was gentle as possible, friendly and took the time to educate me about things I could be doing for better oral health. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Edgewood for several years now and LOVE it! They always make sure to do anything to take care of you. Actually embarrassingly enough, I overslept this last appointment and Jen at the front desk (as well as the entire team) did everything to still get me in that same day and were so understanding. Jordyn is my usual hygienist and she is the BEST! She provides thorough cleanings, always explains what’s happening and gives advice and tips to better take care of your teeth, gums and mouth. I also just had Lois for the first time as well and she was equally as thorough, knowledgeable and nice. I feel comfortable and well taken care of every time. Dr. Lock is always very sweet as well. This is the best dental office I’ve been to. I was a new patient and they were very thorough describing my scans to me. They did the usual scans, a 3D scan, and colored photos to see more in detail. The whole experience was fantastic.

Happened to pick this dentist at random since it was in the same parking lot as my Kroger. I am very happy that I did. This place is very professional and seems to have all the technology and know exactly what they are doing. Everyone there is super nice and friendly. I have had 4 crowns done in the last few months and happy to keep coming back to get future work done. I would highly recommend this place if you need a dentist or if you even have the slightest thought of not being fully satisfied with your current dentist. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone was very nice-but I felt like there was a bit of a bait and switch on the $59 offer. I’m sure the doctor and hygienist would have done a perfectly competent job had I elected to receive the full treatment plan, but the nearly $3000 sticker shock sent me reeling. I don’t think this is a problem unique to this practice, but being presented with such an expensive bill when I was in the chair in a high-pressure sales environment was disappointing. I always ask a doctor when they recommend some treatment how much it costs, invariably they refuse to answer. The disconnect between plans and cost should be front of mind for any doctor. And if cost is a concern then that should be worked with. Because at this point if my health really is a concern then triage based what can be afforded. Now I’m getting no care. And the practice should understand their responsibility on there.

They work with you on payments and financing and I’m actually going to have my whole family start going there. What a positive refreshing experience for a dentist. I would recommend to anyone!! I loved the office workers and the dentist. I just felt like 2 1/2 hours for a new patient appointment is alittle lengthy. I felt like I had to wait on other patients after me to get their teeth cleaned and then the hygienist could come back to me. People that have disabilities it’s pretty difficult to wait like that. Otherwise my teeth feel great and clean!

They walk you through every step and make you feel like you have a good dental plan laid out for you. No question this is a good dental choice.

Today was my first visit to Edgewood Family Dental. We’re fairly new to Indianapolis and haven’t been able to get established with a dental practice due to the pandemic. I’d missed a couple of my usual cleanings, was having some discomfort, and was really worried that my oral health had suffered. The entire staff was so understanding and the exam was very thorough. They also gave me some very helpful advice regarding ways to address my concerns. I’ve already scheduled my next visit.

Had a hygienist that was very careful with her work and took her time to make sure it was a job well done. In and out in about 25 minutes. Fluoride is a brush on not a foam so if that matters, this probably isn’t the place for you.

First visit to Edgewood Family Dental and it's great! I'll admit I was scared when I first came in and even more scared when they told me I had cavities that needed to be filled. The employees were very nice and made sure I had everything to make me comfortable. They numbed me up to the best of their abilities and even gave me a blanket when I told them I was cold. New patient appointment was scheduled 2weeks out, 3 days later got a call they had a cancellation and could get me in the following day! Walked in before 8am and was immediately greeted by friendly staff. I filled out my paperwork, then they called me back within 5 minutes of sitting in waiting room. They quickly got to work with xrays, exams, and a plan for treatment of my oral health! Finances were an issue for me currently and they offered options to get me the care I need all while remaining within my budget doing necessary dental work first then non urgent later, spreading it out so it's not a lump sum at once. Staff and Dr. Steven's are wonderful and really made me feel like they cared which made me feel more comfortable and not so embarrassed by the reason I made my appointment after putting it off for far too long. Walked to desk to schedule my next appointment and was handed 2 beautiful daisy flowers wrapped in tissue paper!!! Never have I been to a dentist or doctor for that matter, who handed out flowers to patients!! Made my day and they gained a long time patient! Thank you all.

What can I say?! This dental office exceeded my expectations in every way. I was a nervous wreck about my visit and they were all so wonderful and caring. Jamie (one of the hygienist) took her time and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I have a major phobia of dentists and everything that comes with them. I went to the same dentist in my hometown, every six months, from my first appointment at 2 years old until they kicked me out when I was 20 (ha!). That being said, I was very nervous about finding a dentist that I could trust and want to go to in a new city as much as my first one. Luckily, I found that here! Scheduling is easy and everyone who works there is great! The front desk always greets you with a smile. I have the same hygienist every time and she is INCREDIBLE. So friendly and remembers everything you talked about in your previous appointment so it’s like talking to a friend. Dr. Kristen is great and just as friendly. I would highly recommend!

The staff at Edgewood Family Dental provided an extraordinary and pleasant experience! The staff not only answered my questions but shared information during my appointment that was helpful and as appropriate. I'll bet few people know that the regular cleanings that hygienists perform actually reduce your bone loss because the hygienist gets down under the gumline to destroy bacteria where a person can't do cleanings effectively by themselves with floss and toothbrushes. I was not having routine cleanings because i don't have cavities, calcium buildup or dental problems; that will certainly change now !. Edgewood Family Dental is an amazing practice. Im a new patient, and I dread going to the dentist. As soon as you walk in, the ladies at the front desk are very warming and cordial, immediately alleviating any stress about visiting the dentist. I filled out the paperwork, and I was shortly greeted by Jamie, the dental hygienist who took care of me. She was very professional and thorough. After the cleaning, Dr. Stevens came in to give me an assessment. After relinquishing the fact that I haven't been to the dentist in three years, and that I'm a new patient, I was worried that I might be taken for a buck. However, she was very professional and honest - I had no cavities. They are very transparent and really empower the patient with knowledge about what they are doing. The sheer amount of professionalism and honesty that they exude will keep me as a patient.

Wow! Run, don't walk to this practice. I have been searching for 4 years for a competent dentist/team since my long term dentist retired. No one wants to listen to what the actual patient wants anymore but this practice does! No one wants to deal with dental issues but if you want to keep your teeth, you have to. I am actually excited to get quite a bit of work done at this practice. They are very thorough and I was shocked at how cost effective it is. That certainly isn't the case too many places anymore. Honestly, my experience here makes me feel silly for avoiding the dentist for so long (years... too many years). I had my "new patient" visit today - each person I interacted with (Mara, Lynnette, and Dr. Stevens were patient, attentive, efficient, and struck just the right balance between telling me what I needed to do to better care for myself and being understanding. Best of all, through several procedures today, each of the staff members checked in regularly about any discomfort and I experienced absolutely zero pain. I honestly was almost to the point where I thought sedation dentistry would be my only option, but this office has proven that they can get things done with a little caring and a lot of skill! I never thought I'd recommend a dentist's office, but if you're putting off a visit or finding a new dentist, call these ladies today!

My dentist, Kristie, was friendly and took plenty of time during my first visit to examine my teeth, point out future problem areas (and how they were different than other spots), and answered all my questions. The hygienist and tech were also friendly and helpful. I did have to wait a bit after my scheduled time to get started, but it was not unreasonable. I was referred here by my brother and would recommend it to others as well.

Today I went to my appointment, with a complex and honestly embarrassed of my smile. I was greeted with a friendly smile and a very welcoming hello from Carrie. The genuine compassion and concern was very present. My Dental Assistant was Tashia...she took me to my exam room, explained everything we needed to do as a new patient.. I shared my story and my vision of what I hoped to achieve today! She listened to every word, reassuring I came to the right place. In utter amazement, I recieved every step needed to maximize my visit and utilize the time to achieve everything possible! After extensive dental procedures...which required supreme attention to detail...I went into another room, for a deep cleaning..my Hygenist was Jordyn...again I was treated with respect. The office appeared to be noce and clean. However, with COVID 19 being the main virus we all are trying to prevent, I notice that practicing cleanliness, as far as changing gloves after touching doors , xray machine and such, then putting them in the patient's mouth was definitely not protecting you. Then the attendant tried to justified it by saying, "We can't change gloves every minute." The dentist walk in the room introduced herself, and put on clean gloves. I really like the dentist. I checked with my insurance before going to the dentist, so I knew what coverages I have and how much they would pay, but when the billing person came into the room she said i would owe $500 for the deep cleaning i needed. When I explained my insurance company stated that service was covered at 100%, she said she had to go check something only to re-enter the room and said it would be $300. Now tell me do you think i should go back? I gave 3 stars and i don't know if i should have done that. My insurance company said they were suppose to send in the bill and if there was a balance then I would have to pay, but again, they said that deep cleaning service was covered.
