I will never go to a new a dentist! I’ve been going to Life Centered Dentistry for 2 years now! Dr. Ludwig and his team are the NICEST people and he does such an amazing, efficient job. They are super quick too! Dr. Ludwig is a very caring and genuine dentist as he truly wants to make his patients satisfied with their smile and pain free - he’ll even bring his husky Z in as well - he’s adorable!🥰 Dr. Ludwig will even polish your teeth up for free! He truly cares about every single one of his patients. Shay was my dental hygienist and she was so efficient at her job and very sweet too! If you’re in the GR area this is the dentist team to go to!!! They are top notch👏

I never thought I’d actually like going to the dentist! Life centered dentistry makes you feel like family. I always feel well taken care of there and everything with my teeth is always explained in a way that is easy to understand and doesn’t feel overwhelming, which I so appreciate. They do amazing with my 3 year old as well and let her “help”, she loves coming with me to the dentist. I love how they go above and beyond to take care of us, I wish I would have gone here sooner.

When our family switched dentists many years ago, it was because every other dentist we sought out was obviously looking to make the most money possible off our teeth. They were all aggressive and pushy. Dr. Ludwig is laid back and honest. He doesn't make us or our kids feel like we're "failing" at teeth. We've come to trust him so much over the years that if and when he does recommend treatment, we know he's saying so for our benefit, not his. He calms down any kid's fears by his calm demeanor. His staff is very friendly, and the new renovations are beautiful. We're lifers here!

I was so nervous to go to the dentist after nearly two decades (!!) of not. I was afraid of being judged and frowned upon for being neglectful and was not looking forward to being lectured or to the damage this visit was going to do to my pocketbook. I lucked out. Not only was everyone I interacted with in this office warm and welcoming but they actually seemed excited to see me. They did not make me feel terrible…quite the opposite. They made me feel thrilled to be there, they were reassuring and kind and listened to my concerns and did not move forward with any treatment without first discussing the cost, which is so important to me. I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourselves a favor and go here! Even after day one, my smile looks better!

Bones heal, scars fade, but teeth don't grow back. Clearly, I have made some bad decisions. Because of this, I have a smile that a Goalie would be proud of and I've spent far more than my fair share of time in a dentist's chair. Since moving to Grand Rapids I've been to three different dentists trying to find one that I fit with. A dentist is like a barber. This is someone you want to have a compatible personality with, a good match for sense of humor, who is also good at their job and does quality work. Dr. John Ludwig is a rockstar dentist with an exceptional staff. I'm so used to places that treat you like a number. You're in, you're miserable, you pay through the nose, and you're out. Nobody wants to take 5 minutes and actually talk, much less answer questions. Most dentists today don't have the patience for patients and have no desire to build a rapport with them. Ashley the Awesome Assistant, The Dashing Miss Piper, and Dr Ludwig each took the time to simply CARE, and that was noteworthy. At no point did I feel like a number going through some giant insurance machine. I felt at ease, and was treated with genuine compassion and humanity. We even had a few laughs. They answered my million questions. They shared thoughtful opinions. They listened to my concerns and were actually receptive to my suggestions. They were understanding of my scheduling difficulties, and they even took the time to care about the little details (like filling an impression mold in a way it doesn't make you gag). I know it's silly, but that's the first dentist I've ever had actually DO that. It was lovely. This is a level of customer service that everyone should strive to achieve. It's a rare and wonderful treat in life to have a dentist you can look forward to visiting. I have only had my first visit a couple hours ago, and get to go back tomorrow for a follow-up. But already I am sincerely thankful to have finally found my permanent dentist. These guys Fit, and I'm thankful to be their patient. I recommend them without reservation or hesitation. Tell them the weirdo science guy sent you. ;)
