Great experience at Advanced Dental! My husband and his family have been going there basically their whole lifetime, so it just made sense. front desk staff is very cheerful and helpful. No matter how many questions you have to ask they are willing to smile and answer and help you with your needs. The dental assistant Danny did such a great job. She definitely knows how to make you feel comfortable. she takes her time and makes you feel like an important person. she explains what she is doing each step of the way if you would like her to. I can tell that she loves what she does and it’s not just a job to her. Dr. Neuman does a great job with a being very up beat and he is very detailed. Nice place to choose.

As a new patient at Advance Dental I couldn't be more pleased. My hygienist, Tara, has a gentle, yet effective touch. She has a pleasant and professional manner as she informs you about dental health. I never considered how the pH levels of beverages affected my teeth. In addition, the front office staff is wonderful! Previously, no one had any idea how to correctly determine charges for my "this is not insurance" dental plan. Top to bottom, I am so happy to be a patient here.

My family and I are coming to Dr Neuman office for about 20 years now . We have always been happy with the care we received. Years ago I had so much pain that I couldn’t sleep at night and called in the morning Dr saw me same day .other time it was Saturday and my teeth broke and Dr came to office just for me ,. Dr Alexis is great too it happened that because I couldn’t come certain day Dr Alexis checked me and she is as wonderful as her dad . Hygienist also gets stars because she always gives me tip how to take good care of my teeth.

My wife has been going here for years and has always raved about her experiences. I've had multiple visits so far and the hygienists and front office staff are consistently kind and joyful. I have been visiting Advance Dental Smile for the last 16+ years. I have never been to a different dentist! As a kid, I didn’t understand the “scared of the dentist” stereotype because even when I had part of my tooth knocked out by a accident on the playground, things were taken care of quickly and I was shown and treated with so much compassion. I give Advance Dental a 5-star rating because of their empathy and their willingness to accommodate me in many ways. Before seeing Dr. Neuman, I struggled at the dentist's office. He offers nitric oxide at no extra charge, even for cleanings. My prior dentist charged $60, which wasn't covered under insurance, so I rarely made it to my appointments before I started seeing Neuman regularly in 2019. His hygienists and chairside assistants are very polite and calming. One time, I was concerned about a tooth not being smooth after a filling, and Neuman came back and told me he would get it exactly how I wanted it (I can be "particular"). Last week, I had a scheduling snaffu, however Neuman's office accomodated me the best they could. Not only is everyone friendly and competent, they make me feel like everything is under control. Neuman is so funny; he is interesting and interested, which makes him a great dentist. He has spoken about his and his wife's problems with grinding and breaking off their own teeth, so he understands my issues. He goes to Africa regularly and cares for the teeth of both humans and animals! That is empathy. This quality has become the best way for me to choose any kind of service, and I will drive out of my way to get it.

3 stars due to maybe mis coding of 04355, Maybe I don't understand how insurance works but I was not happy having a annual cleaning done that cost 183.00 then minus enhanced insurance I still paid 78.00 out of pocket. Delta dental suppose to cover 04355 and cleanings 1 time a year, but I paid and left. I will have to pick and choose when to get my fillings done now. My wife doesn't pay for her cleanings there covered 100 percent same insurance. Maybe cause I'm a guy I'm not sure. My brother has the same insurance and his is covered 100 percent too so I am confused . Other then that yes the team and doctor is very nice and not pushy. This is my second vist first was a oral exam plus X-rays, second was cleaning, now I'm debating on when to return for work to be done.

Everything that they would do they ask for consent and explain beforehand so that we are prepared and know what to expect. From receptionist to the doctor to our hygienist everyone in this office is kind, nice, and friendly, most importantly we are always satisfied with the service we receive. We have recommended family and friends to this practice and it is honestly the best gift for someone who has had bad our traumatic past experiences with dentist to bring them to a place where you know they would be treated with respect and patience. My wife has braces now and even so she enjoys her cleanings and Tara works around them so beautifully that it is not even uncomfortable. We will continue to go here for years and years to come. I started going here initially b/c it was close to where I lived. I was treated well and liked the practice. 8 years ago we moved and I went to a dentist closer to my house. I only went once to the other place as they were terrible...pushy, aggressive with treatment, flashy. I now happily drive over 30 minutes to go to Advance Dental. They are NEVER pushy with treatment, always consider the circumstances and are so laid back. I fully trust Dr. Richard Neuman and my dealings with Dr. Alexa have been positive as well. She's been great with my kids. Most of my dealings with the dental hygienists have been positive as well.

Advance Dental is a really kid friendly dentist office. We take my 7 & 8 year old boys and 4 year old girl there, and they leave actually excited about things like brushing their teeth & learning to floss better. Must have been my lucky day because I certainly found a great new Doctor. Dr. Neuman's office has a welcomingly friendly staff and even more knowledgeable. The other thing i was impressed by is the technology used at the cleaning. I loved my previous dentist but honestly his office did not compare in this regard. Instead of a TV playing the same infomercial I got to see my teeth up close as X-Rays were completed and then discuss them with Dr. Neuman himself. Dr. Neuman is also very personable. He was genuinely entertaining and gave me a few laughs. I definitely will be returning in 6 months and will recommend either Dr. Neuman to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all affordable Dentist. Cant recommend enough!!

BUT, here is why Advance Dental exceeded my expectations. I was your typical college student that didn't visit the dentist after I left my parent's house, and was quite worried that I would be "scolded" for how bad my teeth had gotten...you know what I'm talking about. It usually sounds like "have you been flossing" when you know, that they know, that you know, that you haven't been flossing...But at this office, it was not so! Dr. Neuman was super friendly and understanding of my situation. I also appreciate the fact that this office is willing to communicate exactly what is going on with your teeth, including showing you the pictures that they take along with explaining things in a way that make sense. No, "Doth thou understand me, peasant" here! Seriously, this was a great place with friendly people that truly care about you, not just about your teeth and what insurance you have.

The staff has always been very professional, hospitable and kind. The dentist diagnosis was spot on and the treatment prescribed actually solved many of my health problems! Who would have known that your teeth can effect the health of your body. Not me obviously. The dentist described my issue with great detail, helping me see clearly what was going on. He spent time with me and giving me advise on certain foods to eat and drink that have either a positive or negative effect. He is passionate about what he does and shares many interesting stories I regularly see Shawna for my treatment. She is great at Her craft. She remembers me well and is always encouraging me to do the right things to take care of my teeth. She has offered great advise to help me make decisions that concerned me. My recent appointment was canceled and I worried when I might get back in for my quarterly visit, but I was promptly rescheduled within a few days with Tara who was warm and accommodating. They also send me many reminders to let me know when my next appointment is. They have been good to me and I have never had any problems. And if I did, I’m quite sure they would be handled in the utmost way. I highly recommend them and wholeheartedly give them 5 stars!🤩⭐️🤩

I visited their office for the first time as a student and recent transplant to the Grand Rapids area after getting a $1 Exam offer in the mail. I had just had a very discouraging encounter with another dental office that wanted to charge $3,000K+ to fill 9 “cavities”. I wasn’t expecting much from a $1 exam, to be honest, but Dr. Neuman’s staff took 3-dimensional images of my mouth and found 0 cavities! After a full exam, reassurance that I did not need a single filling and an invitation to return in 6 months, I’ve been a diehard loyal customer ever since. I got a family member to switch her entire family to this office because I was so impressed with them, and now, many years later, my husband and son are also customers. Staff are always friendly, very gentle in their work and the new water pick method makes cleanings sooooo much more bearable!! I live much farther away from the office now than I used to but continue to go because of the amazing staff and consistent treatment. Advance Dental, your crew is awesome. I hate doctor offices and the dental office is no exception, but after having my first review and work done here I can say one place holds the exception to that hatred. Advance Dental helped me feel comfortable with the entire process from A to(oth) z. The staff was very patient with my concerns and also very accommodating to my requests to alleviate those specific concerns. As far as the actual work goes, they did a great job really cleaning my teeth and leaving them pampered. This place is like a massage for your teeth. Dr. Neuman also has a great sense of humor making the experience more relatable and the atmosphere more family oriented, which helps to make you feel more at home. After being kicked off my parents health insurance and being forced into the adult world to find my own insurance coverage, the staff at Advance really helped to work with my insurance and I to make sure everything was reasonable and within budget as well. I am eager to maintain loyalty with this office because I have no complaints or other reasons to go anywhere else. So if you have a simple cavity or no teeth at all, no problem, they handle everything.
