I have gone to South University Dental Associates ever since my family moved to Fargo in 2016. Even now, having lived in Florida for the past 3 years, every time I come back to Fargo I try to squeeze in an appointment here. Everyone is always so great- Dr. DeBates is usually who I see and he’s just so kind and awesome. Fortunately I have not had any problems either so I haven’t had to do much more than annual checkups & cleanings. The facility is clean and pristine, and it’s a good option if you’re looking for a reliable dentist! I’d also recommend getting on a cancel list for appointments, because they’re extra busy right now and probably won’t be able to get you in for at least a month or two like me. But then, I was able to go within a few days of scheduling due to another cancellation which was really nice.

As a new patient, I received a warm welcome and excellent service. The staff, hygienist, and doctor I saw were all wonderful and truly focused on exceptional patient care. I was back today for an urgent visit. They were able to get in me in right away. The doctor took time to call me personally and gather all the detail about my issue, and squeeze me into his very busy schedule. I highly recommend South University Dental, they go above and beyond for their patients!

Dr. Bergan went above and beyond to not only fix a chip in my tooth with a very last minute emergency appointment but also to make sure my teeth were looking their absolute best. Kate was my dental hygienist and her attentional to detail was outstanding. She really took her time cleaning my teeth! This is truly the best my smile has ever looked! I can't say enough good things about South University Dental Associates! I had a crown come off the other day, I drove right to their office and was in having my crown put back on within 30 minutes. They checked their records and I was due for an exam in about two months so Dr. Samuel did right then since I was there. Great service and great people. Have had same dental group since Tom Fellman began it 40 years ago, most professional, caring dentist ever for my entire family. Walt Samuel took over for Tom upon Tom's retirement and has maintained that highest standard of service. Chose to fly from our home in AZ specifically for Walt to address the huge piece of tooth I broke out of a molar. Mutual decision to crown the tooth for the long term health of the tooth. Dental assistant, Lyndsey, is a supremely capable and essential part of the team. We have a local dentist in AZ for cleanings, checks, and for any emergencies, but will always confer with South University Dental and have Walt Samuel address serious issues or repairs.

I have never had an experience like this before at the dentist. Front office gals got me right into a chair, Assistant tory took the time to make me feel comfortable and identified all problem areas.
