When I walked into Dr Harr’s office I felt welcome. The staff is second to none. They are always concerned if you as a patient are ok. Dr Harr is the best. She is up to date on equipment. I am a new patient and am very happy with the experience at Harr Dental. I have an extreme fear of the dentist and have avoided going for many years. I broke a tooth in November and suffered with the pain until June. They were able to fit me in quickly and everything was explained in detail, including my options and payments with my insurance. The atmosphere was very welcoming. All the staff were very friendly and put me at ease. I was very satisfied with the experience and happy that I finally went in.

Uses newer technology, but charges more than others in town. Has a female-only staff, which feels a little odd. They can always get you in for an appt within a day or 2, but then charge a big fee if you miss your cleaning appt you made 6 months ago, doesn't make much sense

At 68, I have seen my share of dental offices over the decades and I'm sorry it took this long to find this magnificent practice (not entirely fair...Dr. Harr wasn't even born when I started going to the dentist!). She is one amazing dentist who supports an amazingly efficient, professional and truly enjoyable staff...from the front desk through the entire organization. If only all health-related services operated like this practice does...there would be many more happy and healthy people in our community following the example they set. Growing up my dental experiences were not very kid friendly, which led to some / alot of adult Dental phobia! I'm so happy to have found Dr Harr and her caring staff. From the minute you walk into the office and are greeted the setting is very comfortable. I feel the hygienists always do their best to make me feel very comfortable. I feel they are sensitive to my needs- if I need a break they seem to sense it. Dr. Harr has done a fantastic job working with me to accomplish the smile that I want to achieve! She respects and listens to my choices and has made things work the best, working together! In turn I fully respect and trust her with my dental care.

I had a great 1st experience at Dr. Melinda Harr's office. It was very clean, everything was put together nicely, and the front desk staff was very helpful. When the Hygienist brought me back she took a lot of different types of pictures of my teeth along with x-rays. They were very thorough and also educated me on everything they were doing. They discussed several different options I have along with exact pricing on some cosmetic things. They were very professional and worked very efficiently. They also seemed to have advanced technology which I feel is very important.

One year update — Dr. Harr put two crowns over two teeth and also repaired some veneers that another dentist had installed, and that had been giving me a lot of problems. I just had a cleaning and exam, and all the work that she and her great staff did a year ago is working perfectly! Very competent, helpful, and pleasant staff.

I have to say- 5 stars for Dr. Harr and her team- they are amazing! They are so kind and caring, as well as professional. We've been going to her for years and my kids never dread a checkup, in fact they look forward to it. They actually think going to the dentist is fun! Not only is Dr. Harr so kind and thorough, her office is pristine! Only the highest quality technology and state of the art equipment! The waiting room is comfy and beautifully decorated with pieces of art and the magazines are always current. Dr. Harr and her staff are incredibly personable. The office is exceptionally cozy and you're welcomed with a smile. I have had my own personal fear of the dentist throughout my life. Melinda Harr Dental completely changed all that. The building looks very nice and modern from the outside. Once you go in, it gets even better. The receptionists at the front desk are always extremely knowledgeable and personable. The "waiting room" feels like a nice, cozy house. Plenty of furniture/places to sit. All of the workers do a wonderful job and make you feel right at home. I wish I made Melinda Harr Dental my primary dentist much sooner than I did.

I have not had good experiences with dentists in Fargo. I was apprehensive about going to Dr Harr because they didn’t offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas),but I am so relieved and so extremely happy I found her. She addressed my concerns and fixed my issue that two designer dentists couldn’t fix without an expensive solution. I didn’t need the laughing gas, because she doesn’t use instruments from early 2000 and make awkward conversation that one would need happy gas for. She is the best!

Walking into the Dental office is so warm and inviting, the girls up front are Always friendly, great attitudes and very helpful. I never have to wait - I get right in for my appointment. Holly does such a great job with my routine cleanings and is so knowledgeable about other aspect of the job. I have some allergies and Dr. Harr has had to make changes for me during procedures and then has to work very quickly to make sure my comfort level isn't compromised which I am very thankful for. The staff at Melinda Harr Dental has always been very professional and cheerful. I always feel like I have had a good cleaning and a thorough checkup. Any necessary dental work has been explained very thoroughly. The staff is very efficient; return appointments are made in the exam room so there is never any waiting in line at the reception desk. I never have to wait to more than 3 or 4 minutes after arrival before I am called back to my appointment. It is a very efficient well run dental practice. My husband and I started going to Melinda when we moved to Fargo 8 years ago. Our son and his family and our daughter and her family also have Melinda Harr as their dentist. They like the manner in which the entire staff works with the children to make their dental experience pleasant. Best dentist I've ever had! She does high quality work, she and her staff are very friendly and I refer people to her when they are looking for a dentist. My story: when I was 17 (1995) I had to have my front teeth crowned and they were big and bulky and over time I developed a lot of problems along the gum line and they just looked terrible. Fast forward to 2016 Dr. Harr gave me a new smile by creating brand new beautiful crowns. I absolutely LOVE my new smile! People cannot tell that my front teeth aren't real. I was just able to complete my 6 month checkup and cleaning after reopening from covid19. I was able to discuss my specific situation with Dr Harr. She and her staff are always so accommodating. I had an additional service performed in addition the the regular cleaning. I was presented with the cost ahead of time. This was nice to see before instead of after the treatment was performed. Additionally, billing is extremely clear. I know what my out of pocket costs are up-front. But most importantly, is the quality of the services and staff. I am a new patient to Dr. Harr and am very impressed!! I went in knowing I would need a filling. They fit me in the next day and it was actually the best experience I have had getting a filling...NO PAIN!! Dr. Harr was also able to provide a numbing block for a specific tooth, which didn't leave half my face numb. It is always scary to change providers, but I found this practice to be a very nice balance of using the newest technology to provide the services I actually needed versus using it to do things for profit, which I have experienced in the past. This is very comforting and I am so happy I have made the switch to Dr. Harr. Would absolutely recommend this practice to others! Update August 2018: I am still a happy patient. I love the ultrasonic cleaning, so gentle and seems faster. I continue to have nothing but positive experiences at Dr. Harr’s office! Effective and efficient experiences topped off with a very friendly staff!

One thing I really value is their respect for your time. Their system is efficient, there is rarely any wait to get in, and if a simple procedure like a small filling needs to be done and can be done at your checkup/cleaning, they will simply do it right then instead of making you come back in at another time. Love Dr. Harr and her Team! I have not been to the dentist in a really long time and asked a coworker for a recommendation that took our insurance. She recommended Dr. Harr's Office and I called and scheduled an appointment. As soon as I walked in I loved the look and feel of the Office. It didn't feel like the Dentist I went to as a kid. The Check in process on the computer was better than filling out the multiple forms you normally do at an Office. I only waited a few minutes to see the gal that took my x-rays. She was super nice and I loved how quick the x-rays were to take. My Dental Hygienist Brooke was a delight! The rooms were open and I had a TV to watch while she took some more quick x-rays. Technology has advanced a lot since my last cleaning. It was great to see the pictures of my teeth right in front of me while she explained what she had uncovered during my cleaning. The Print Out of my Proposed Treatment Plan was very easy to read regarding the cost, what my insurance covered and what I the patient was going to pay for. I appreciate the professionalism and caring that Dr. Harr and her Team provided on my visit. Now to just get my husband to go there. ☺

Having grown up in the F-M area, I have had an opportunity to meet a handful of dentists in the area, and while all experiences were, well, experiences...nothing compares to the over the top customer experience that Dr. Harr's office offers. Every time I walk in the door, I am greeted with a smile. I don't think I have ever waited longer than 10 minutes for my appointment, and with a family of 6 (staggering 3 at a time) they manage to get us all done within minutes of one another. The technicians are friendly, happy, personable, and I am always left with the feeling that this staff loves their job and loves working for Dr. Harr. From the comfy couches and fireplace in the waiting area, to the technician offering chapstick after my X-rays, to another technician offering sunglasses for while my cleaning was getting underway so the lights wouldn't bother me, to the TV in front of the chair to distract me during the cleaning and also show me the X-rays and photos of my teeth..it felt more like a medical spa! it was such a pleasant experience all around. Melinda Harr Dental is an exceptional dental experience. They use cutting edge technologies which entirely change the sometimes foreboding process of "visiting the dentist". To start, I had a crown put on and several fillings done all on one visit--not having to return to have the crown placed. Ive neglected my teeth for many years and i begun to think my teeth were beyond repair, so far I’ve gotten my front 6 teeth repaired, covered in chips and deep pits of cavities prior to my visit here. Dr. Harr did an astounding job and it looks like my teeth are brand new. She was very caring during the process, making sure i was numb and comfortable as possible. She didnt push or pry hard, she treated me like a patient and took care in my teeth. Felt like she was working on teeth and not a car unlike previous dentists ive had. I would recommend her to everyone. Of the approx 5 different dentists I’ve experienced in my 22 years, I’ve never found a more professional dentist. I was tired of dental offices that push voluntary procedures (i.e. whitening, fluoride, etc) and that patronize you about things like flossing. Melinda and her practice are awesome. From when we moved to Fargo in 2010 to this December, I am always amazed at the technology she uses for even the most mundane procedures. Likewise, she and her staff I appreciate since they are thorough in explaining what they are going to do, why, and any additoinal medical context, issues, or risks. I went into Dr. Harr's office this spring for a 2nd opinion on what to do with my teeth as I had let them go to say the least. She came up with a plan on how to fix them and over the next few months I was amazed at the turnout. The technology that they use there was an eye opener so you could see your teeth in a lot of detail. The whole staff works very well together and all threw their opions in on how my teeth improved, which was a huge comfort to me. This July we finished up the project as I like to have called it and I couldn't be happier with my choice to come to this office. I highly recommend her as dentist.

When I read the description I was afraid of all the technology would be too expensive for my insurance and I wouldn't be able to afford it. Well I was wrong. I didn't think it was that much more expensive then my hometown dentist. The place was very homey and nice. They take a lot of precaution and do a lot of different procedures. What I liked is I actually got to see where I needed fillings and why it had happened. Because of the new technology finding cavities is easier so be prepared for that, but I think that is a good thing. I hope that it will eliminate problems farther along the road.

I went in for some work I had a lump on roof of my mouth was going ask what it was but as I forgot to ask she seen it asked me about it. She had an idea what it was and said while I finished up she was gonna research it and she did couple minutes she came back referred me found out it was a benign had it taken care of and she kept in touch on everything to make sure everything thing went well and I have to say she has my service for the future!!!! They were really flexible with my schedule and I'd say they got more done than expected for the hour I was suppose to be there and they still got me out within I'd say 45 minutes!!!

My one complaint is that I did have some cavities filled that had a little excess sticking out which hurt my bite, but I was able to get in to have it fixed in a short time (so really not much of a complaint).
