I had previously gone to another dentist in Cherry creek who kept performing expensive treatments that didn’t help. After my first visit at midtown dental, they resolved my issue. Having recently moved to the area, I am so pleased to have found Midtown Dental. Each person that I interacted with was friendly and helpful starting with Shelby and Ashley assisting me with an appointment and paperwork. Carley was my hygienist. She was friendly, genuine, gentle and knowledgeable. She verbalized everything she was doing, and it made me feel comfortable. Dr. Tsumura continued with the same great care. He was kind and attentive. I appreciate, what felt like extra effort, compared to what I was accustomed to with my previous dentist. His expertise and attention to detail gives me confidence, and I know I selected the right dental practice. Overall, everyone helped me to feel welcomed and there was a great energy in the office which I think says a lot about the state of mind of everyone working there as well as the patients.

I have been going to Midtown Dental for about 8 years. I always love the dental hygienists. My mom was a hygienist so I have been spoiled my whole life with a great hygienist (totally bias). I love the hygienists at Midtown. I had a great cleaning today. They use the ultrasonic water to get the plaque off which is super comfortable. They are thorough. This is a down-to-earth place which is super friendly and professional staff. Covid Protocols are in place, which made me feel comfortable. Insurance was billed and my whole experience was smooth.

UPDATE: I had a cavity filled this week and it was the most painless and quickest procedure I've ever had with dental work. Dr. G and his team were wonderful and I couldn't be happier with the results. He made sure I felt no pain and comfortable the entire time and that everything went smoothly through the whole procedure. I will definitely be going back for all other dental work. Best dentist office! They were welcoming and professional and their COVID precautions are 10/10. I would recommend this practice, specifically Dr. Gutierrez and his team, to all my friends and family.

Everything you could ask for when looking for a new dental home! You can tell this is a dental office that cares about their patients and take pride in the quality of the care they deliver. Everyone from the front desk, to my dental hygienist, to my assistant, and my doctor, were amazing. I wanted some cosmetic work done on my front teeth and was nervous to have my front teeth worked on... but Dr. Gutierrez took his time with my fillings and was really patient with my requests. His assistant, DeeDee was so friendly and made me feel right at home. I was so impressed with the results! My cleaning went amazing and Amber was so sweet and it was so fun chatting with her... it made the appointment fly by! Thanks Midtown for such a great dental experience!

I was able to get an appoint day of due to cancelation (call in the morning of as patients call early to cancel day of appointment)! The receptionist was extreme friendly and they were taking all precautions to make me feel safe from start to finish. The hygienist was very informative giving me recommendation and answer to all the questions I had. She was extremely gently and did a thorough cleaning on my teeth. Dr. Gutierrez was the icing on the cake! He was very friendly and I felt as if he took the time to do a great analysis of my teeth! All in all great experience and I would highly recommend if you are needing a dentist in the Denver metro area!

I have had a lot of dental work in my life and Dr Benefield and his staff are hands down my favorite Dentist office ever. They are friendly, thorough, and honest. My previous Dentist told me I had decay under the fillings that I have had since I was a kid. He wanted to begin replacing those right away. Thank goodness I moved b/c after my exam with Dr. Benfield I found out that it wasn't true. My fillings and teeth are fine. Saved me thousands of dollars. I don't have dental coverage so cost matters. When I needed a crown they actually turned out to be the best price after making some calls. I highly highly recommend Midtown Dental and Dr. Benfield.

I also love that he will take before and after photos of my teeth to show me progress after he repairs a filling :) The front desk staff is always super professional and pleasant. Best dentist in Denver! Growing up, I loved going to the dentist. Only now do I realize it's because of the fun and nurturing environment that my childhood dentist provided. Now, my own children absolutely love going to the dentist. They talk about Dr.T weekly, at the very least. Midtown Dental has the nurturing, comfortable, and... yes... fun environment that will keep us coming back. In the words of our four year old, "we should go to the dentist more often." I wish we could, but Midtown take such good care of our teeth that we are only there every six months.

My hygienist Amber is meticulous in her work and it is wonderful to spend time with her, even given the less than pleasant circumstances of getting X-rays and a cleaning. Midtown Dental is a really wonderful place. I’ve been to a lot of dentists and am one of those people who feels stressed by the dentist and I’m so lucky to have found them. Dr. Tsumara is so funny and quirky and skilled and the staff are all really nice. You can definitely trust they’ll do exactly what you need and not find ways to overcharge you. They’ve healed my teeth from a lot of root canals that were handled poorly from previous dentists. They have really trustworthy referrals when they can’t do the entire job. I’ve been there for years now and can’t imagine going anywhere else! Definitely recommend!

Best dentist I’ve found in Denver - and I’ve tried 6 in the last 9 years. Teeth always get a great cleaning by hygienists and the dentists are very honest. I’ve had some terrible cleanings elsewhere and places where I have ‘lots of cavities’ that no other dentist seems to see. I had different insurance for 3 years and couldn’t go here in network. I changed jobs, got new insurance that was in network, and came back here immediately. Highly recommend!

Midtown Dental and Dr. Tsumura, is AMAZING! I just switched to them this week and was easily able to get myself and my 4 year old (first time Dentist appt) in. I cannot say enough good things about this office. All of the staff is so friendly, the dental hygienists were incredible, and Dr. T was the best!! You have to see him! He's so friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and made the first dental experience for my son so good he said "I had so much fun" while at his appointment. The Minion helium tank was a major hit! I appreciated the precautions Midtown Dental took to ensure the safety of their patients and themselves (filling out paperwork and waiting in our own vehicles and having me use hand sanitizer along with washing my hands before my appointment started). Everyone I encountered was very friendly yet blunt about the care I needed. The woman who cleaned my teeth was gentle and mindful of my sensitive areas along with my TMJ. The staff took their time to explain all of the details and make sure any questions I had were answered.

I came in due to gum swelling around my wisdom tooth. Was in a ton of pain prior to visit. As a new patient I was anxious, but everyone involved at my visit was very comforting and supportive, as well as extremely professional. I was talked through the options for my tooth pain, and decided to go with a wisdom tooth extraction. A procedure with a very negative connotation ended up taking no longer than 15minutes, and I was pain free the entire time. The procedure went so well theres no need to take painkillers. I have never been happier with a dental experience, and have happily found my new Dentist!

I've been going to Midtown Dental for something like 40 years - my original dentist there was Doctor Doida. I was always pleased with Doctor Doida. After he retired I had a succession of dentists who seemed OK but didn't stay with Midtown very long. Doctor Gutierrez became my dentist a few years ago and I do appreciate him. Though he appears to be very young he is also personable, careful, communicative, and capable. I got two dental implants from him over the course of the last 9 months of pandemic, and they are complete now and quite satisfactory. I also have been very favorably impressed with the quality of the staff that I've dealt with in recent years. So I'm giving Midtown an excellent review.

The COVID precautions were very thorough and I felt comfortable and safe. The hygienists at Midtown always do a great job; I should know, I used to be a Navy Dental Tech and have done my fair share of cleanings. As far as Dr. T goes, he saved my teeth. When my brother retired from dentistry, I kept going to the guy who took over his practice. Big mistake. This guy screwed up my teeth royally when he did a crown prep, and he missed a decay - a decay that was so bad, Dr. T thought he might have to retire the tooth. Luckily, he was able to save it. Oh, and my brother, the retired dentist, he also goes to Midtown Dental.

i am very particular when choosing a dentist, after all this is someone you trust to poke in your mouth with sharp instruments. when my dentist of 20+ years retired, i was forced to find a new one as i was unhappy with his replacement. i am very pleased with dr tsumura at midtown dental. he has an upbeat, pleasant demeanor that should calm the fearful. the several hygienists who have cleaned my teeth are uniformly dextrous (see above note regarding sharp instruments)

I think Dr T. goes above and beyond! Every time I go in for a regular cleaning he spends extra time explaining in depth how the jaw works, and provides helpful and intelligent tips for headaches and posture. He even does hands on assessment of my cranial-facial musculature and movements, which is definitely not your average in and out dentist! I'm not sure why so many negative reviews, I'm a dentist's daughter so I grew up in a dental office and have tried all kinds of dentists and this place is top notch! All the hygienists I've had have given me amazingly pain free cleanings. Dr T has never "over-diagnosed" me as some people claim he does. He's a minimalist, as far as me and my dentist dad are concerned, which works for me!

Gone Awry

Thought I had lost a filling or crown. Made an appt that was very easy to get and fit my schedule. Saw Dr. Tsumura and Dede (his tech) and they looked and found no evidence of any lost crown or filling. They were very understanding of my anxiety, and so kind and considerate of my embarrassment. They both were genuine and empathic, and I felt very grateful to have such exemplary care given by such good people.
