Super nice and very efficient. I needed some extra work done and they made sure that they quoted me with my insurance before we did anything. Miss Jill did my cleaning and other work. She’s fantastic. The only thing that could’ve improved my experience is if I would’ve had an option to maybe download the paperwork beforehand and go ahead and fill it out. Or if they could have had it done online or something beforehand. But I realize it’s a small practice that sometimes that’s just not possible. And yes, this was my first time here. Very happy.

Dentist appointments give me anxiety but she's such a friendly people-person and offers excellent conversation... just enough to relax a person. Had a phobia of the dentist when I got a cavity bad enough I had to pick one and make an appt. So glad I found them. Ever since I started going here, I no longer have that fear. I actually come for the normal cleanings and such like a good patient because I'm not scared. Eye opening to know that proper dental care doesn't have to include actual pain.

Was referred here and they really are amazing. With all of it, I’m usually an anxious patient, but they reassured me and kept me calm. Dr Owens is amazing and her team is as well. I been wanting to loose weight. So after 3 years of neglecting my teeth, I decided to visit WCFD. They painstaking worked on my teeth and I felt like a quart of blood came from my gums. So not only did they do a fantastic job of cleaning my teeth, but helped with my weight loss by removing a quart of blood weight. Great job, staff was friendly, billing lady gladly took my money. I always have a lot of effort put into the cleaning, which i appreciate greatly, not all offices bother to be thorough with cleaning . they are super straightforward about insurance and costs in my experience . & they never try to sell me on things i don’t need. Only bad part is it can be hard to schedule general check ups / cleanings any less than 2 months in advance

I can't tell you how many times my heart has been broken because of the prices of the amount of work I needed on my teeth and in my mouth, even though I had abscesses and rotted teeth which caused me health problems. The dentist I saw and his staff went out of their way to make sure I could have this work done. I cried happy tears today instead of sad ones. This was my 3rd visit to West Columbia Family Dentistry after some years without dental care. I used to hate going to the dentist, and while I can't say I enjoy it these days, I don't exactly dread the experience either. This practice is the sole reason for the change. The staff is friendly and professional. The place is immaculately clean, and the work is excellent. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a dental professional. Update: I just went in for a cleaning today and the experience was the usual example of excellence that I have come to expect. Everyone from the reception staff to Dr. Owens is friendly, professional, and the place runs with a level of efficiency that rivals a Nascar pit crew. I didn't even have a chance to get comfortable in the waiting room before they called my name and the entire appointment was done in half the time I allotted for it so the rest of my day was less hectic as a result. I honestly wish every medical practice was this good.

This dentist office has been great from day 1. My whole family uses this office for all their dental work. Everyone is friendly and helpful and gentle. They happily accommodate specific requests. Appointments can be difficult to get at times but if it’s an emergency they will fit you in. The office is large but they have a great system for getting patients through on schedule. I had a scheduled cleaning at 1pm today. Prior to my apt I received 3 reminders including one at 11am reminding me of the apt. I gave my name upon arrival at 12:42pm and waited patiently until 1:13pm when I asked if they had my name right. The receptionist was very kind and asked me my last name again. My name was verified so she said she would find out 2 minute's later the woman who was scheduled to clean my teeth came out and said "I am running behind with another patient# I said I got 3 alerts reminding me of the time I feel like you could have given me heads up that my apt was running late. She answered "did you expect me to throw my patient out of the chair for you. You can wait or reschedule" I rescheduled. Other people's time is valuable too. I probably would have rearranged my schedule if she did not verbally attack.

I actually drove down from Charlotte, NC to have cosmetic work done by Dr. C. A friend of mine had some work done a few months ago and was telling me about how great of an experience she had there. I’m so happy I listened! West Columbus Family Dentistry was very cleanly, following all covid guidelines. All the staff was very friendly. And I felt that Dr. C genuinely cared about my experience and satisfaction with the work versus just getting me in and out of there, as I’ve experienced at some other places. I would definitely recommend! TL;DR: friendly atmosphere, affordable, great work!

Very good visit. Samantha did a great job putting me at ease from the start. I had a bicuspid, with a very old crown, that had broken off with most of the tooth still in the crown. I was afraid I would have to see an oral surgeon but Dr. C was able to remove the rest of the tooth. Totally Painlessly, I didn't feel a thing. We worked out a treatment plan at a cost I could afford. I look forward to the following visits until all are completed. I will be getting a new smile! I recommend West Columbia Family Dentistry and will review the final results. Thanks to Samantha and Dr. C!!

I came here on recommendation from a friend and they are the best! I’ve never enjoyed getting a cleaning before because the hygienists in the past were always rough and made it a painful unpleasant experience. Not today though! Amber was super gentle and friendly and didn’t make me feel self conscious or uncomfortable at all. Even the X-ray tech was super friendly. If you’ve ever had a bad experience at the dentist, give them a try! They won’t let you down :)

May 2022 As expected they did a great job! Went in for consult on crowning my new implant and they found a time slot to get my teeth cleaned during the same visit. Meredith is awesome, been cleaning our families teeth for years. Very personable and professional services. Aside from receiving professional service, the staff recognizes me and somehow always is in tune with what is going on in my life. They listen and remember you and makes the experience that much better. I have been fortunate enough to get the same hygienist and more often get the same Dr. F., although would be open to any of their staff because they are all awesome! This was the BEST dental experience I have had in a long time, even under these emergency circumstances. I had a Sunday night dental emergency and I was new to the area so I had not established a dentist yet. I completed the New patient appointment request online and explained my dental problem. The office called me around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning with a 11:45 a.m. appointment. I ended up needing a root canal and a new root canal. The dentist and the assistant was kind, gentle, and careful. I felt no pain or discomfort. It seemed to go by so quickly too. I would recommend this office and this staff to anyone!!!!

They talked me through everything which surprised me because the last dentist and assistants barely spoke to me. Visited for the 1st time yesterday. Staff was able to get me an appointment with a couple of days of calling which was very convenient. Upon getting to the office, was brought back to a room super quick. Was pleased to meet Lauren one of the assistants and Dr. C. Lauren was super sweet and attentive and Dr. C was funny and took his time to explain his procedures. The receptionists and finance staff were also pleasant. No real complaints just very pleased with the whole visit.

As someone who has had so many awful experiences with the dentist, it was such a relief to meet Dr. C and his super friendly and highly educated staff or "family" as they like to call themselves. From my very first interaction with a staff member during my initial call, Kayla made me feel welcome and at ease. She assured me that I would be in great hands. Then there was Lauren... Lauren stayed with me, answered all of my MANY questions and even held my hand while Dr. C worked his magic. They were honest and friendly and told me lots of stories to make me feel at ease. They did not rush me into anything and gave me all of my options. It was so comforting to know that this team really cared about me and my well being not just my teeth. It has taken me so very long to have my first positive experience with a dentist and I will most certainly be back. I look forward to working Dr. C and his "family" to regain confidence in my smile. My experience at West Columbia Practice was mostly good….the only thing that I have a complaint with is the anesthesia…. When the doctor came in to place the numbing medication on before the actual infiltration, it wasn’t left on for the two minutes, so I felt the medication burn, and when someone is in pain with a toothache, don’t leave them waiting so long to get them out of pain

Went here because i was experiencing some tooth pain. I had previously had bad experiences with dentist so i was not looking forward to this. However from the begining i could tell the staff was caring. From Mandy, the receptionist that set up my emergency appointment and regular appointments for my teenage boys. She was able to get us all taken care of within 48 hours. To doctor C and his assistant. I had to have 4 wisdom teeth extracted and they did it that same day. In the past i have felt like dentist can be condescending but doctor C never made me feel that way. He was kind and thoroughly explained my situation and a course of treatment. Even the shots to numb the area he did without me feeling anything! Because of money, I hadn't seen a dentist in about 3 1/2 years. I went in thinking I needed dentures because they looked so bad. They told me my teeth were fine, I just needed a cleaning every 6 months. I was ecstatic. Kelly cleaned them and they looked a lot better. This place is run so efficiently, I never was left alone sitting in a chair, waiting for the next person. Each person is wearing a headset and they communicate to the person they need next. It was a very positive experience. Also the prices were less than what I was used to paying. My last night guard had been $700, today I was quoted $460, and then they gave me a $100 discount because of the Dental Insurance network I was in (Cigna). Very pleased, happy to have found my new dental home!

Seems way to busy at the front desk. Lots of appts are crammed together causing very long waits. I feel pressured into doing treatments I can't afford. They offer a credit service but I prefer not to use credit. While getting your teeth cleaned the assistants talk back and forth through an ear piece. Not always concerning me as the patient and makes me feel like my visit isn't important. Thinking about finding a new Dental Facility.

They put dentures in my mouth, which is small, I understand that. But have been realigned twice, and still want to fall out, even with no matter what kind of denture cream or powder or strips, etc., that I have tried. I knew they're was a possibility that I'd have to use powder on the bottom, but they should fit better than they do even if my mouth is small. It cost $6,000.00. I don't have the money to get them realigned again, so I guess I'm stuck doing this powder 2 or 3 times a day. Not very satisfying.

As a new patient,I was looking and listening. Great atmosphere at this office.(This is critical) Positive, upbeat and genuine. Several in waiting area, but time spent before being taken to the back was very reasonable. This helped me complete the new patient paper work which wasn't as lengthy as anticipated. (I'm wary of a professional office of this type that isn't busy on a Monday morning). Once taken to X-ray and treatment room, it was no "down time." Wendy, a dental assistant was great throughout the entire process. Dr. "C" clearly explained each possible outcome and treatment in a manner that . Meghan entered the room with the costs of each treatment based on the diagnosis. She wasn't apologetic or arrogant in explaining the costs. No "and-uhs" involved either; just a brief explanation and the bottom line with options. Unfortunately, my diagnosis was the least desirable and most costly; however, I was confident the end result would be satisfactory for long term benefit. Dr. "C" never seemed in a hurry to get to another room. The topical conversations were good and helped to demonstrate that he knew exactly what he was doing without being flippant about it, and promoted a very good treatment climate. When he did leave momentarily, Wendy was preparing the next step; many of which she did herself. I had to have an extraction and bridge prep. They consistently checked to make sure I was "OK" with overdoing it. Check-out was very good. At my own fault, I had misunderstood a detail on the billing, but Stacey helped clarify it. Money isn't easy to discuss but she handled it very well. A dentist office isn't my ideal place to begin the week or to start any day; but if I have to, I'll definitely return to West Columbia Family Dentistry.

I had such a fear of dentistry since having 2 very bad experiences where 1 dentist even left a piece of tooth in my gum! However West Columbia Family Dentistry made me feel safe, comfortable and they answered EVERY question I had with such confidence and professionalism. Once in the back with the dentist my anxiety got the best of me and I almost sent myself into a panic. However Dr. C talked me down even was willing to send me to an oral surgeon that would put me asleep and have it scheduled the same day. The care I received by them I cannot put into words. He has worked w/ me along w/ my insurance to replace all of my silver fillings over a 4 year period. He is never pushy. He has updated equipment that will show an up close picture of your tooth in question so you will see exactly what he sees & he explains why you need something done but will also tell you what might happen if you don't get it fixed. He genuinely cares for his patients. His staff is beyond nice. They are dedicated to customer service. Best of all...when you leave you get a fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookie!! Grab a lip balm on your way out also...it's the bomb!! I would recommend this dentistry to anyone!!

The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is the cost , they always charge me $129 for basic cleaning because of a one time bleeding .. but I feel it should be general cleaning price not “periodontal treatment” which is much higher than a standard teeth cleaning.

I had to have a 35 year-old bridge, consisting of a crown, a false tooth & a metal plate bonded to my left top bicuspid, replaced. When Dr. C removed the bridge, he realized his original plan had to be changed to crown the bicuspid due to the damage from the metal plate & cement. As he cleaned away the last pieces of the old crown, decay was uncovered underneath the crown behind the bridge. He & Bryan worked together to ensure I felt no pain & Bryan did a great job making the temporary bridge & crown. I came back today for my permanent replacements, a four-tooth bridge & one crown. Dr. C & Bryan again worked together to ensure be sure everything fit perfectly & will stay in place for another 35 years!
