Been attending this dental office for over 6 years with zero issues. Never had major dental work done just cleanings and 2 gum grafts but always had a positive experience. Armin is the only hygienist I’ll see for cleanings. Dentist, Lacy Myer, I fully trust and has amazing bedside manner. Julia, one of the front desk attendants, will always accommodate your date requests and is a pleasure to speak with. Hannah, the manager, does a fantastic job with running this location and I highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Gentle Dental for years. Like many people, I hated going to the dentists because they usually tell me I need all this extra work done and whatever they do, it hurts. But ever since I’ve been going to Gentle Dental my fear of the dentist has diminished- still not my favorite activity, but at least now I’m not scared to go. Armin is the kindest, most gentle hygienist you’ll ever meet. He really takes the time to explain why certain recommendations are important instead of just telling you to do this or that, which I really appreciate. He’s personable (which in my experience is rare), and he’s actually very funny. Every time I leave the office I have a smile on my face. I won’t get my teeth cleaned by anyone else. Leah and Julie are very accommodating and friendly, I’ve had to reschedule appointments numerous times and there’s never an issue. Always seems like a very well run office.

Usually, I don’t give reviews. Sometimes I just can’t be bothered. However, this is the second time Armen worked as my dental hygienist and I just felt like I had to say something. He is amazing!!! Not just his mannerisms but his work. He is extremely through, cares deeply about your entire mouth. I have had many, many, hygienist in my life and he is by far the best. I wish him much success. I also love the dental office in general. I have been with them less than a year but my experience so far has been wonderful. Keep up the great work.

I had a quick and fairly easy wisdom teeth extraction done, and each staff member I talked to was friendly and helpful. The assistant to the oral surgeon was helpful with answering any questions, and explained what I was experiencing throughout the process, calming any of my anxieties. Dr. Qian Yang, the oral surgeon was wonderful, his friendly energy put me at ease right away. He explained every step he was going to do before he did it, and then each step as he did it. He worked quickly but precisely, and the surgery went absolutley perfectly.

I can't recommend this Gentle Dental location enough! I've been going here for over 10 years and even though I now have moved all the way to the north shore and have another location 5 minutes from my house, I still keep coming here because the people are so nice, the service they provide is great and the prices are very reasonable! Leah and Julie at the front desk are always helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Ellen is the only person that I'd do my dental cleanings with and Dr. Tsering and Dr. Meyers have a gentle touch when doing dental work. All of my dental procedures here have been great!!

Have just started going here, and have had a wonderful experience so far! On my first visit, I had a new patient exam, which felt much more thorough and much more well-explained than my last dentist, and then today, I got a filling done, and felt taken care of the whole time. Both were with Dr Lacey Myer, who’s been superb, as well as the other staff I interacted with, who have all been excellent about answering any questions I’ve had and making me feel comfortable. I whole-heartedly recommend this place and these people!

Gentle Dental is the best experience I have had at a dentist in my entire life. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Meyer is an amazing dentist who I trust with all my dental needs. She allowed me to play an active role in my dental care and provided me with all of my options to make informed decisions. She treated me like a peer and with respect. I really enjoyed being her patient. She also came in every time I saw her smiling, kind, and welcoming. I can’t say enough great things about Gentle Dental South Boston. My entire family and I have been going there and they have become like a second family up there! If I ever moved, I would commute just to stay there. It is worth it! Leah and Julie are the best! They are so accommodating and always kind when talking on the phone or in person, always there to help and assist. Along with the rest of the staff who are incredibly kind and welcoming. Dr. T is hands down the best of the best! She is a perfectionist (which is amazing when she’s replacing your front tooth ) but also is so gentle and considerate when treating you, she is always making sure her patients are taken care of. I was always one who disliked going the dentist but this place makes it feel like a second home when you’re walking in. They take care of you in a way that relieves any anxiety you may been feeling before visiting. If you’re looking for a dentist, look no further! This place is it! Who else can honestly say, they look forward to going to the dentist!

Fantastic place to go!!! Truly gentle and caring, helped me with getting my wisdom teeth out, fillings, and general cleanings...used to be afraid of going to the dentist but Dr Tsering and Ellen and the rest of the staff really made me feel comfortable and helped me get through my fears. This is by far THE best dental office I’ve ever been too, and I’ve been to a few (until I found this gem). The front desk is super helpful. Leah, the manager has accommodated me so many times that I’ve lost count, she’s great! They truly care about their patients, you won’t find that kind of atmosphere followed by exceptional dentistry anywhere else. Dr. Tsering is a PHENOMENAL dentist, she is simply THE best!! Her work is exceptional. She’s done 4 crowns, a few fillings and two root canals for me, and those root canals were not easy, she was amazing and I was extremely happy with her work. She will not let you leave until you’re completely satisfied with everything. I’ve never had a bad experience, ever. I would NEVER get treatment anywhere else! Great cleaning. My hygenist was extremely professional, and did an amazing job! I feel like he was very detailed and my left felt so clean and looked nice and white when I left. Dr. Myer was also great and made some good suggestions for my dental care plan. Julia the office manager was wonderful too, and helped me book my next appointment. I was skeptical about Gentle Dental because they’re so big . A knowledgeable friend recommended them, and I’m so glad I took her advice! The practice is very well staffed; admin staff are capable and friendly. The skill of the dentists is beyond compare! I was fortunate to see Dr. Tsering on my first visit for tooth pain. She diagnosed the source of the problem and fully explained my treatment options. Her kindness & competence were hugely reassuring. After having my tenth root canal - the first with this practice - I understand why Dr. Smolyar was recognized as Boston’s top endodontist. When the second of my excellent, longtime dentists/endodontists died, I stopped going to the dentist. Twenty-five years later, tooth pain brought me to a large practice on the South Shore where I liked the providers, but not the dentist-owner. A knowledgeable friend recommended Gentle Dental three years ago, and I haven’t looked back. Although Gentle Dental is a chain, the standard of care I’ve received is easily equivalent to the superb care I received from my longtime dentists - with the major advantage of the technological enhancements that have come to the field since the early 90’s. Doctor Tsering, Doctor Smolyar, and Doctor Yang are astonishingly gifted, compassionate practitioners. The two hygienists from whom I’ve had cleanings and nearly every single dental tech who’s assisted at my procedures are likewise at the top of their field for excellence and personal warmth. The office staff are superb! Add with a wonderfully clean, modern, and convenient location on West Broadway, there’s simply nothing left to want. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. I recommend them without reservation. Note: Until the US catches up to the rest of the developed world and provides health care for Americans, health services remain costly. Gentle Dental’s discount for uninsured patients like me helps offset some of the cost. A great practice!

I went to get an emergency wisdom tooth extraction due to jaw pain and Dr. Yang and his staff were amazing. Everyone was so friendly and followed all covid procedures. Gentle Dental of South Boston is an EXCELLENT establishment. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I've gone in for cleanings and I recently had my top two wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Ahmed was SO kind and knowledgeable. He and his dental assistant walked me through the ENTIRE process before they got started with removal, which made me feel safe and comfortable. . Who really likes to go to the dentist. Some people, myself included, have a deep rooted fear. I was the queen of cancellations or no shows. I was terrified and because of this my mouth suffered. That was before I found Gentle Dental in South Boston and Dr. T and the entire team. They are the very best. Professional, knowledgeable and caring. Their motto should be “it’s all about you”. Dr. T listens to my concerns and includes me in any decisions and treatment plans. ( and my treatment plan was not an easy one to develop). During quarantine for Covid 19 a tooth broke off at the gum line. Dr. T arranged to have it extracted by a colleague immediately, during this crisis!!! No waiting for a call back. She responded right away. She is amazingly kind. I have been referring my friends and family to them because I trust them! I never thought I’d ever say that about a dentist. Great people doing great work. I must sound a bit over zealous but I have lived with this fear of dentists for so long, to be free of it is such a relief. These people have been so great to me! I have a bad infection in my tooth, and I couldn't pay twice when I went in for treatment. So the office manager calls me this morning and was so understanding and stressed the importance of me coming in to get this taken care of. So she insisted that I come in and get treated, and we can worry about the payment later! Not only did they start my treatment process today, but they also lowered my payment for this Saturday when I return. Now I can get this fixed completely and I can afford it! Also Dr. Ethan Chase is the most nicest and gentle Dr. I have ever been too! It's amazing how much these people care, and how much they are willing to work with you as far as payment goes in emergency situations like this! I am looking forward to going back Saturday morning. Never been a BIG FAN of going to the dentist to get my teeth clean, I HATE the sound of the drills and the tools the hygiene have to use to clean your teeth, I ALWAYS try to find a way of not going to my appointment. My first time going to Gentle Dental in south Boston was the best experience I can say I ever had and was comfortable the whole time in the chair. The hygiene Ellen made me feel really comfortable and relax the whole time, friendly and kept talking to me to make sure I was ok during the whole process. I would highly recommend Gentle Dental to anyone who is afraid of the dentist! Broke a tooth over the weekend and Gentle Dental was able to get me in first thing Monday morning. I am just an appreciative patient. This is the first review I've written for an office I feel is very deserving of one. I've been a patient at Gentle Dental South Boston for over a year now. For those afraid to go to the dental office, there is nothing to be feared and only good things to come from your visit. From the front desk to the hygenists,dentists to the assistants, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. They know me by name now and always welcome me with a warm greeting. They are timely with appointments, no long wait. Shout out to Colleen at the front desk, the assistant, Joclyn and hygenist, Kimyen! I love the feeling of getting my teeth cleaned! The dentists are very professional and reassuring when giving me information, whether it's about wisdom teeth removal to getting a crown over a cavity. I feel very comfortable in this office. My most recent procedure has been my crown handled by Dr. Tsering. She told me to let her know if I was ever in any discomfort, which I wasn't. The dentists, and all staff, are patient and always looking to give me the best oral health care possible. Both procedures went very smoothly and I was not in any pain, very happy with the service and results. Thank you, Dr. Tsering and Dr. Bliss for all the help!! The office is t accessible and has street parking, which is another plus. Gentle Dental, thank you for giving me a cleaner, brighter smile.

I called this Gentle Dental 6 months ago because I had a loose filling. My own dentist wasn't open on saturdays and I was shocked that they made an appointment for me that day. Dr. Bliss is now my new dentist. She was so nice and made me feel comfortable. She fixed the filling that day and called me on Sunday to make sure I was doing ok. I recommend this Gentle Dental to anyone. Especially Dr. Bliss!

To be fair, I give this place 3 stars mainly because of the front desk staff. The dental work and front staffs are the great. The dentist, not at all!! She seems to be really greedy. She will try to squeeze every dollar out of you. I have never gone to an office where I feel like being harassed to make an appointment with the constant calls!!!!
