Kim BA little over a year ago my son expressed an interest in taking dance lessons with his fiancé for their upcoming wedding. I was surprised and pleased that my son wanted to accommodate his future wife, and I offered to pay for the lessons as part of their wedding gift. I watched while the studio (Sergio) transformed both my son and his fiancé (now wife) with no dance experience whatsoever into accomplished dancers who performed a beautiful dance the night of their wedding. During their transformation, I added on a few mother-son lessons so my son and I could do a more formal mother-son dance at the wedding. I was impressed with my son's ability to lead after so few lessons. After the wedding, my son and his wife moved to Kansas City, and have since had my first grandchild. After a few months without any lessons, I kind of missed the dancing and the lessons, and thought I might want to take a few more. Although Sergio had left the studio for a sister studio in Wisconsin, he encouraged me to continue with the new South Tampa team. I took his advice and just this weekend, after much encouragement (borderline prodding), I participated in a studio show. I had great fun, met a lot of really nice people of all ages, and cannot say enough about how comfortable the staff, especially Artur, made me feel when I did things right and when I did them wrong. I love every one of the South Tampa team, including without limitation, my teachers, Artur and Roman, and also my blister life saver, Ruby, all of whom are incredible dancers, along with their fellow instructors, Max, Anna, and Yulia. Additionally, I always look forward to seeing the ever smiling Genevieve, who keeps track of things for owners, Peter and Linda. If you have any interest at all in ballroom dancing, this is the place to come. It will bring you laughter and joy, along with many other benefits.
Susan HansonHaving an amazing time, again!! Took lessons at a Fred Astaire in IL about 15 years ago and decided on a reboot. So many benefits to dance...for me, just one is to build up bone mass in my foot after a fracture sidelined me for two years. Peter, Linda and the instructors are top notch.

For anyone thinking about taking dance lessons, DO IT! But I highly recommend you come to Fred Astaire in S Tampa, because this studio is beyond my expectations.

We are loving learning something new together and we look forward to our lessons every week! The environment is so friendly and the instructors are so encouraging that we don't feel awkward or self conscious about our dancing even though we are FAR from good dancers! We've recommended the Dale Mabry studio to our friends as well because of the welcoming community and honestly just because of how much fun we are having!!
Viktoria ZitzmannWe signed up for dance lessons with Fred Astaire for our upcoming wedding. Our instructor, Alexey, has been amazing in creating our choreography. He's very patient, open minded, creative, detail oriented, and most importantly he likes to have fun, too! Alexey and his wife are professional dancers and she also helped during lessons and is a total sweetheart! The studio as a whole is a very friendly environment with monthly dance parties that are included when you are a student. I have to be honest, dance lessons are not cheap, but they're 100% worth it!!!! The instructors know what they're doing, so trust them when they say you have to learn the basics before you can learn a dance. I liked that they had us try six different types of dance to see which ones came naturally to us before committing to Rhumba and Push-Pull for our wedding dance. We plan on returning to the studio after the wedding for more lessons as a date night.
Chelsea NMy fiance and I were looking for choreographers to help us with our first wedding dance and we couldn't have asked for better people! Tetiana and Sergio are great teachers and make learning the dance really fun! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dancing needs.
Gregory TomlinFrom 2 left feet to dancing with the stars!!! Well not quite there yet but my wife and I have learned so much in such a small amount of time. Alexey is incredible and we love learning from him every week, this makes such an amazing date night after dinner, with my wife. We were definitely not dancers but we certainly have found tons of enjoyment as beginners and we get to learn from and watch the professionals in action. There is something for everyone at Fred Astaire from professionals to beginners. Tons of fun for couples and parties!
10/10 would recommend. Give it a try, I know my wife and I are very happy we did!
Valerie AssadThe whole staff is amazing. Alexi is our instructor and we love him. He choreographed our wedding dance and moved at our pace. He also wasn’t afraid to throw some cool lifts into our routine to give it a wow factor. We will be returning for regular lessons soon!

Tetianna was our instructor and she was amazing - we called her with less than 3 weeks until our wedding and she was able to fit us in and double up on classes to ensure we had enough time to learn the steps, all while asking intuitive questions about what we were looking for in our first dance.
She made us feel so comfortable as neither my fiancé or I has any ballroom dancing experience. Tetianna also offered amazing advice around other aspects of the wedding and helpful feedback for your band or DJ. We highly recommend them and will be going back for some additional couples classes!
odetianI love dancing at Fred Astaire! Their curriculum, instructors, and coaches all set you up for success. If you are a competitive person they have in studio, regional, and national competitions throughout the year. If you want to have a wedding dance, including parental dances they can create beautiful routines. Or just wanting to learn something new and get out of the house they have the most amazing instructors that work with you. Sergio is so much fun to work with he can always make you laugh!
