Came down with friends and took a class with Marissa and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Even the stretch/workout portion was fun. We learned a lot about the history of the dances tied with the culture. She taught us some routines and we practiced our dance moves all night long! Please take this class, you won’t be disappointed.

Me and my friend went to this class during Mardi Gras. This class is a must if you are in NOLA for a girls trip. I felt like I known her for years. She is very imformative about the style of dance. We had a awesome and fun time. I don't know if you travel but if you are in the Baltimore area let us know. We would love to take another class.

I’m so happy that me and my friend stumbled across Moe Joe’s studio during our visit to NOLA! It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! We were able to book a private session with Moe Joe. She taught us how to do the famous New Orleans bounce, Zydeco, and twerk with a stability ball. She is a talented dancer and awesome person! She took time out to talk to us about New Orleans culture and also shared with us that she will be coming to Chicago this summer to teach at a huge event! I can’t wait to link back up in The Chi! Moe Joe's classes are the best total experience I've found for mind, body, spirit and community. The dance workouts are engaging and challenging while being accessible to all levels of dance experience. She emphasizes form and correct body movement over trying to do too much, so if you have trouble with a move, she will suggest alternate ways to perform. In addition, she provides information about the history of the music and performers, as well as cultural influences. All classes are welcoming and enriching because of her attitude and lead. I learn something new every time I go and I have definitely seen improvements in my physique and style of dance since working with her. A+++++++

This was such a fun and unique experience for a bachelorette party. Our entire crew enjoyed learning about New Orleans Bounce. We learned 3 different dance rountines and a lot of pointers on how to make or “booty” bounce (lol). Marissa is not only an amazing dancer but she shares the rich history of bounce dance while teaching choreography. You will not be disappointed if you book this class and it was a great workout too.
