Kelly helped get over my fear of the “wedding slow dance in front of everyone” I was having. She is awesome, personable, laid back, and just all around a great instructor to have in your pocket if you are like me. She considered everything, the dress, the shoes, the photos. It was also fun leading up to the big day to have a standing wine date with her and my future hubs.

Where to begin?! Working with Kelley at Rhythm & Smooth in preparation for the first dance at our wedding was a decision we would make over and over again without a moment's hesitation. From the first email she was extremely communicative, genuine, professional, and cared about finding the best way to teach us. I'll admit it's hard for me not to take the lead while dancing, but she gave my husband the encouragement and foundational knowledge he needed to feel comfortable and confident on the big day. We purchased a package of 3 one-hour lessons and were beyond pleased, and felt it was enough time to get our skills up to snuff. She began by showing us some basic steps and spins at our first lesson, which we practiced at home, and then by our third lesson we were learning how to dip (which we nailed, all thanks to Kelley!). I would recommend Kelley with Rhythm & Smooth to anyone looking to add a special something to their first dance. Thanks, Kelley! We had so much fun.

His and Kelley's love of dance is obvious from the first moment. Please take lessons, private and group, from them as well as attend their social. You will never regret it!

My husband and I worked with Alex to learn a first dance for our wedding. Neither of us had any experience dancing but he created a fun, perfect dance to the song we chose and taught us in a way that made it all seem so simple. He was full of energy and really encouraging which helped us be totally comfortable and allowed us to have fun. He was very responsive and easy to schedule time with, even though we had a short window of time before the wedding. After just 2 sessions with him we had our dance down, and he recorded it on my phone so we could reference it if we forgot between then and the wedding. All of our family and friends commented on how fun the dance was and how great we looked! Can't thank him enough!

Such a great experience. And a great way to step into dance communities, whether it's Salsa, Swing, Ballroom and more. Some classmates came for private lesson for their First Dance wedding choreography a kept dancing after the wedding. Others, singles looking for something new and couples looking to reconnect. There are group classes, individual lessons, and social dance parties!!! Good for couples or single, of all ages (adults and kids).

I've taken a few dance courses with Alex and he is great! He has so much knowledge in so many dances, and he has a great teaching style (a little history, the steps, a few jokes, and the ballroom finess). It's really fun to dance with such a great dancer/lead.

If you want to learn how to dance, Alex is the guy to see. For starters he is extremely qualified in his areas of dance. (Trust me-google him) The lessons are technique focused, but they’re also practical and fun. Enjoying learning the dances is the most important thing in my opinion. Alex is super helpful, and patiently teaches the technique and rhythm of each dance move. He not only teaches you, he also makes sure you’re having fun during the process. I went with my fiancée to his ballroom beginner and intermediate courses. Dance practice was the highlight of our week and we made good friends along the way. We learned the beginning steps to the waltz, foxtrot, and tango in the beginner course. In the intermediate course we stepped things up with more waltz, roomba, and swing! He also taught me the key to being a successful dance partner. “If you step on your partners feet, and they make snide remarks saying it’s your fault. Look em’ in the eyes and say I love you.” Works every time!

Alex is a nice guy and he knows his stuff. Unfortunately he very disorganized. First appointment was double booked so we drove 30min for nothing. He forgot us. No pb, it can happen. Second class was great. Third class: he forgot us again! If we didn't live that far, we would give it another try, but so far it had been a waste of time.
