The owners Katherine and Brogan are both amazing instructors and amazing people. I've been dancing socially for about 9 years and felt like I had decent knowledge and skill. I can't emphasize enough just how much Katherine taught me and refined in my technique in my first lesson alone! Seriously, if you want to learn to dance or even if you just want to pop by for the social dances NOVA DanceSport is the place to go. The community of regulars is super supportive and friendly and everyone from first-time-on-the-floor beginners to multi-award-winning champions intermingle and just have fun :). Happy dancing!

My fiance and I were so nervous about our first dance. Neither of us have any experience in dance. We reached out to Katherine, and let me tell you, she is a life saver. She taught us so well. We are getting married in 2 weeks and have so much confidence. With her skills and performance, we will be impressing our guests. My fiancee and I went here for dance lessons for our wedding and Katherine was absolutely FANTASTIC! Neither of us had any idea how to dance and were both extremely nervous before attending our first lesson. Katherine did an amazing job at getting us feeling comfortable with dancing. She is also excellent at teaching/explaining things and most importantly never makes you feel bad for messing up or asking a question! Everything that she does is extremely constructive in a good way! She has done such a great job that my fiancee and I are now looking into doing dancing lessons after our wedding just for fun!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Brogen and Katherine and what they’ve created within Nova. I’m a beginner and in as little as 2 lessons, I learned the routine for Rumba, Cha-Cha, Waltz and Tango!! Every time I go back, I’m amazed with their knowledge and expertise and how easy it is to learn from them. Katherine and Brogen have so much quality experience in their dancing and I’m beyond grateful to have them as my dance coaches!!

Catherine was super nice and very fun to work with! Our wedding is literally in less than a week and we were able to learn new easy dance steps/ moves for our first dance! We definitely recommend her!! We had lost of fun :)

My daughter is 10 years old. She has been dancing and competing since she was 2 in various styles of dance. She started ballroom about a year ago and has fell in love with it thanks to her fabulous instructors. She is now part of NOVA DanceSport’s competition team and is preparing for her second competition with them. Katherine and Brogen are unlike any other studio owners you will meet. It is more than a business to them and it shows. The positivity and love they have for dance is infectious. They teach in a way that children and adults of all ages can understand and learn. The instructors they employ in all different styles of dance are top notch and my daughter is loving the other classes they have to offer. They have created a positive atmosphere for their students and families. We LOVE NOVA DANCESPORT!!! We have only had a positive experience with Nashville’s newest dance studio. I would leave 10 stars if I could.

The owners Katherine and Brogen are two of the most genuine and kind hearted individuals I have ever met. Both are leaders in their field and phenomenal teachers. Katherine was so patient while teaching my husband and I (both of us have never danced before) and she gave clear and gentle correction so that we were truly learning but she never made us feel bad for making mistakes. As an adult learner, it can be so embarrassing to not know how to do something. I am so used to being an expert that it can be difficult to try new things. Katherine made us both completely comfortable! I love this studio and these people! If you are considering trying out dance, please go to Nova Dancesport! You will love it!!!

Fantastic dance studio! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, NOVA DanceSport can help you learn and improve. I've been taking ballroom dance lessons from Katherine for three years now and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Before starting here I had taken dance lessons at some other studios where they taught me a lot of steps. I thought I knew a lot, but when I started at NOVA I quickly discovered that I was missing nearly all of the foundational technique that creates great dancing. My first lessons here were quite humbling, but it has totally been worth it! The difference in the quality of instruction is AMAZING. Every lesson and class builds on what I've learned and it leads to continuous improvement every week. The learning compounds over time and you'll be surprised at what you can accomplish. I started off learning so that I could dance socially, and now I also compete as an amateur dancer. Katherine and Brogen are outstanding teachers in their ability to develop ANYONE into highly skilled dancers and both of them are always overflowing with enthusiasm. If you take lessons or dance classes here, you will absolutely learn, you'll become a better dancer, and you'll have a great time. They truly care about your progress and it shows. It's a very inviting studio and you can dance every week at the social dance parties (which have great music). You can also compete in competitions across the country. Katherine absolutely loves teaching kids and has a very popular kids and youth program. They offer a lot of dances here: ballroom (waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, quickstep), Latin (rumba, cha-cha-cha, samba, jive), swing (lindy hop, Charleston), west coast swing, salsa, and many others. I LOVE dancing here and I highly recommend it!

Nova dancesport is an incredible dance studio! I love that Nova has a friendly atmosphere and they offer a wide variety of dance styles. Whether you’re just starting to learn to dance, or you’re an experienced competitor, you will fall in love with Nova Dancesport. Nova offers group classes, individual lessons, and fun social practice parties. The prices at Nova are extremely reasonable. There aren’t any scary contracts to deal with and you don’t have to deal with high pressure sales, which is extremely prevalent in the ballroom world. Nova has dance lessons and socials to fit all budgets and schedules. The owners, Brogen and Katherine, truly pour their hearts into their studio and you can’t help but feel like a part of the Nova family from your very first lesson. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and I have been dancing ballroom for 3 years. I am so proud to call Nova Dancesport my dance home and family, I love this studio!

This is the best place in Middle Tennessee to dance. Friendly atmosphere, great instruction, no pressure sale. Would recommend for sure. Also the best music in town.
