We cannot say enough good things about Area 54 and the hip hop classes that Jordan teachers. Jordan is such a positive person who takes the time to get to know and encourage each of her students personally. She has brought that positive attitude to Area 54. Kids and adults can take the classes no matter how much dance experience they have had. She works with each person on their individual level. I’ve seen so many people who have been terrified to dance in small groups in front of others come out of their shell because of the atmosphere in the classroom. Everyone feels welcome, appreciated, and valued. She encourages all of the students to support each other as well. My daughter always leaves every class feeling pumped up and good about herself. We also love that the cost of the class includes video footage each week. Jordan’s husband, Luis does a great job with the videos and encourages the students as well. They are both amazing people. If you love to dance and you are looking for a non-judgmental, positive atmosphere, Area 54 is the place to be.

As an adult who had never taken a hip-hop class before, Jordan’s beginner hip-hop was a perfect find. Her teaching style is relaxed, the class full of fun and high energy, and great for all ages. Highly recommend! A fun night out with friends, or to go on your own. If you’ve wanted to start dancing or brush up on your old skills- this is a safe and encouraging place to start! Her advanced hip hop class has been a hit with my teens, offering a challenge and structure that they thrive on. The positive environment, the energy from the other dancers, and Jordan’s creative and fun choreography makes the class the place to be! You should check it out!

i LOVE Area 54. The environment is uplifting and encouraging week after week in addition to being a place of positive energy, hard work, and dedication. Not only will you learn amazing hip hop choreography and camera skills, but you will make new friends and grow in your confidence in the process. Jordan is an incredible teacher who I’ve had the pleasure of becoming very close with. I love her and everything A54 has to offer!

Area 54 is an amazing dance place! It has taught me not just how to dance but how to be confident as well! Jordan goes step by step in every dance and makes you feel very comfortable in your skin no matter what skill level you are at! Area 54 also gives you the option to film your dance in every class so you can see your progress. My friends come with me and they also love it! I definitely recommend this place!

Area 54 might be one of the best, most beneficial environments to happen for Nashville dancers. Jordan has a head on her shoulders and has one of the best approaches to dance in this day and age-I wish more would approach classes as she does. Jordan has devoted her infectious passion for dance to creating a safe, comforted, judgement-free environment for dancers of all levels and ages to practice their craft. In a time where social media creates pressure I am so thankful to have someone like Jordan who constantly preaches that dance is for YOU, I especially love that she preaches how videos are for YOU (the dancer). Yes, Area 54 films at the end of every class, but before a camera is even brought out, Jordan emphasizes to everyone how film is for self-reflection, it is for you to grow as a performer, it is to build up your confidence, and more importantly, it is never about being perfect and "post-worthy." THIS is why I love Area 54 so much and keep going back. Jordan, and her husband, Luis, have built a wonderful space for dancers to grow. Jordan hits all the spots-from focusing on improving your technique, practicing performance, and boosting everyone's confidence to be a dancer in today's world. I love her classes and look forward to them every single time. I would recommend Area 54 to any aspiring dancer.

My daughter, Haven, and I LOVE Area 54! Jordan has created an environment for not only working on the craft of dance, but also learning to love and trust yourself. She is a fantastic dancer, choreographer, host, and teacher. Her husband is also an excellent host, administrator, and videographer. From the moment you walk in you will feel welcomed and then you will leave inspired. Plus, you can get a video to review and/or showcase your work! It's a WIN/WIN. We will keep coming back.

My daughter has taken a few of Jordan's Area 54 Hip Hop classes and she LOVES them! Jordan makes her feel so welcome! The energy and talent in the class is amazing and I have even joined in with my daughter for one of the classes! The best part is getting to watch the videos of my daughter doing the combo a few days later. I highly recommend Area 54! Lots of fun and a great exercise!

I've been going to Beginner and Open Hip Hop classes over the past year and there are so many great things about Area 54! I've brought friends (with no experience whatsoever) in to try out her beginner class and they've all had so much fun! Jordan and her husband Luis have created a safe space where anyone and everyone are welcomed. The positive energy and encouragement from others are what brings me to class every week. If you haven't been to Area 54, I highly suggest you give it a try! You won't regret it!

Area 54 is incredible! Jordan Grace makes everyone feel at home. If you are looking to brush up on your skills or if you are just beginning, you will have the BEST time in this class! At the end of class, everyone performs, so you learn how to work a camera while dancing. These classes are low pressure, high energy and TONS of fun! Do yourself a favor and just go! Area 54 has literally been a God-send for me. I just moved to the area around 4 months ago and was looking for a place to have fun & dance (as a new college graduate). I was nervous because I hadn’t ever really done “dance” before and thought that I was either going to be in a class of all kids or people who had been dancing since they were kids. I decided to go try it out and have been going every week since. EVERYONE there is so welcoming and up-lifting. It really is all ages and all skill levels - it’s great for kids and adults. The people there made me feel SO accepted and loved. Everyone cheers for each other - even strangers. Not only that, but Jordan (the founder/choreographer) is one of the sweetest & most talented people I have ever met. She always makes class fun and comes up with super cool combos every week. Luis does a great job filming as well! The videos look so professional and you get to learn a new dance every time. You don’t have to film if you don’t want to, but everyone is so encouraging and fun that most people do... even on their first visit. You film in groups (not by yourself) and if you want to do a solo video, they have a session afterwards where you can pay $10 to do an extra video either by yourself or with your friends. I have found a really awesome community in Area 54, and I always love to bring my friends with me because it’s just one of those places that you want to share with the world. If you’re on the edge about coming, TRY IT!! I literally look forward to it every single week and not ONE class has passed where I felt like I didn’t want to go... because it’s that awesome.

I haven’t danced in so long, and I was very nervous about going to Jordan’s class. I went to the beginner class first which was filled with so much love and attention. Jordan spent time on a move with me when I couldn’t understand at the time. I ended up going to the advanced class the next week and I hung in there. There is so much talent in there and I pushed me to get out of my comfort zone. The environment was so amazing and I will be going back very soon!

area 54 is truly out of this world. jordan and her husband luis have cultivated a culture of acceptance, belonging, hard work, and fun times to be shared and had by all who enter this studio. it is so rare to walk into a brand new space and feel completely welcomed and at home, but that's what happens here. i began by attending the weekly group classes - each week there is both a beginner and advanced group class option. whether you're 1 or 100, you're WARMLY invited to these positivity pressure cookers. for 1 hour, you and about 10-15 of your new best friends learn choreography from miss jordan. it's amazing what she can cram into 60 minutes: there's opportunity to grow as a dancer, connect with other people, and learn more about yourself! another something special about dancing at area54 is their focus on filming. at the end of each class there is an opportunity to film yourself doing the dance you just learned. as horrible as that may sound my inside tip is to go for it and start recording. it will help you as a dancer and it will also help you as a confident person navigating life. area 54 is helping my rebuild my sense of self, self worth, and self love one 8 count at a time.
