Reviews of Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Minneapolis
Katie Hepler
(Written by my husband) My wife and I began taking weekly private lessons at Arthur Murray four months before our wedding with the intention of pulling off an awesome dance in front of our friends and family. While my wife had a dance background, I had avoided dancing for most of my life because of feeling self-conscious on the dance floor. The weekly private and group lessons gave me the confidence and skill to actually get out on the dance floor and go for it with pretty much any kind of music.
On our wedding day we had a fully choreographed dance routine that wowed our audience, and we went into it without any nerves, but rather with confidence and poise. This was thanks to practicing at home, attending free group classes and performing in front of our peers and instructors at Arthur Murry.
Even after our spectacular wedding dance, my wife and I are continuing to take lessons at Arthur Murray. We love learning how to move together and feeling our progress at weekly dance parties. This is largely thanks to the instructors who give the feedback you need, encourage you as you improve, and nudge you into challenging yourself and getting outside your comfort zone which is critical for a performative art such as dancing. The instructors not only know their stuff, but they’re a lot of fun too.
Bottom line, dancing is fun, it’s physical as you’ll learn how to hold and move your body, you’ll get the mental challenge of constantly learning and performing in front of others, and you’ll get to actually look good out on the dance floor. Arthur Murray has been a supportive, inviting atmosphere for us and dancing has been a unique, shared experience that my wife and I will continue to enjoy throughout our lives.

Brie was a very positive and cheerful instructor helping our group learn the basic steps of Bachata and Rumba. The group lesson had multiple sessions simultaneously in the same space, which made for minor distractions and bumping shoulders, but all in all was fun.
Thank you!

I am now in my third year of regular lessons at Arthur Murray. It has proven to be a positive life-changing experience. I feel part of the dancing community of students and teachers, I love the instruction I receive, and I have learned great skills in about a dozen different social dances. I attend as many of the free group dances on weeknights and free bi-weekly parties to maximize the value. My wife and I love to dance. This is the best place to learn to dance well in the Twin Cities! I find all the staff at Arthur Murray to be competent and kind and they have helped me to become passionate about dancing!

After my Dad and my Sister had spent about a year dancing at Arthur Murray they convinced me to give it a try. After over a year of dancing I can say it's one of the best things I've ever done. The first obvious benefit is that it's good exercise, but that's not all. As someone who is on the autism spectrum and also suffers from fatigue, learning to dance has given me an incredible boost to my confidence in social situations as well as boosting my stamina. It doesn't stop there though, because the community of teachers and students is amazing. Everyone has been very supportive of me as I worked my way through all the dances and I've made some very good friends during my time there. Overall I'd recommend that just about everyone should at least give it a try. We'd love to have new members join our Arthur Murray family.

This is my happy place, my Father and I started taking lessons together about 2 years ago just for fun, everyone; both students and staff, were very supportive of us during our tentative beginnings as we learned the basics, and realized that learning to dance can't happen overnight. Now that I'm more experienced I enjoy welcoming the newcomers and watching them grow in confidence just as I did. I adore my instructors, they push me hard to be better but are also very patient with me. I love that there is group class every night and practice parties twice a week, which are free with your program. This is a place to come to forget your worries, it's a place full of love and support, I always look forward to my time at Arthur Murray and I always leave feeling great. Dance is a wonderful thing because it combines fun, fitness, being social, creativity and boosts your confidence in everything you do, I would highly recomend Twin Cities Arthur Murray to anyone.

When I began taking dance lessons at Arthur Murray I knew I would have fun dancing and was excited to learn, but I had no idea how many more amazing things were in store! Meeting lots of cool people. Experiencing how amazing it is to be taught by, and dance with, professional dancers. A guaranteed mood and energy boost. Increased flexibility and strength. Healing of body and soul. It's in my top 5 coolest things I've done!

I went to Arthur Murrays to learn how to bachata and found out there's so much more to dancing than bachata! Ballroom dancing has been a gift, a great outlet, a form of expression for me! Arthur Murray staff and teachers are warm and friendly, and provide a positive learning environment for me to grow as a competent dancer. There's so much fun and camaraderie! I enjoy my experience with Arthur Murray Studio and highly recommend to anyone who wants to give it a try!

My husband and I came to Arthur Murray 3 years ago to learn to dance for our daughter's wedding, and we've never left! It is so great to learn together, in a fun and supportive community with teachers who are so skilled and so patient. It is exercise, music, education and social--all wrapped up together! The staff and the other students are tremendous!

Arthur Murray Minneapolis is pure joy and a great challenge if you want it to be! The staff and students are some of the most supportive and kind people I’ve met. If you have a love of dance or need something positive and uplifting in your life then you need to come give it a try. Never have I left a lesson or a practice party in a bad mood. You can come just for fun and friendship or you can come to work on being a better dancer. It lifts the spirit, it’s fun, it’s a great workout but truly the best part of coming to Arthur Murray Minneapolis is its teachers and the students!

I have enjoyed my experience learning to dance with the Staff at Arthur Murray a great deal. My dancing skills have improved many-fold and my circle of friends has grown considerably. I recommend both dancing and learning how or improving whatever dancing skills you may already have with Arthur Murray and its methods and instructors.

As a child of the 70’s when dancing was ‘doing your own thing’, learning to dance properly has always been on my bucket list. Two years ago I took the plunge and started dancing here. It is much more than I expected. The instructors are excellent. I’m learning both ballroom and club dances like hustle and salsa. In addition to individual lessons there are dances every week with the other students. For me, it is also my preferred form of exercise.

As a first timer to one of these dance studios, I enjoyed the experience. The group was about 20-30 people and we were in a rotation, so no partner was needed. The teacher was patient, as well as the other people who came to the session. All our levels ranged from beginner (like me) to professionals (competitors for local events).

The instructors are highly professional and are unwavering in their encouragement. My husband and I signed up for a few lessons befor our son's wedding 18 months ago. We still go tot least once a week. It's a blast.

My husband and I took lessons in 2015. We had a great time and learned a lot. Our dance coach was very patient and encouraging. It was a blast!!

I had my introductory lesson today. It was awesome! The staff are professional, personable, and super fun. Nikki was wonderful and more than patient for a first-timer like myself. I would definitely recommend!

Hello,
Kruccus International was honored to be invited to perform at Arthur Murray dance Studio's event on 8/18/2017 in Chicago at the Westin Hotel. The event was a wonderful affair and full of energy, life and personality. Mark Vaughn, as Director, and the rest of the cast of Kruccus International thoroughly enjoyed performing at the event, and was pleased with the professionalism exhibited by the correspondent for Arthur Murray during the negotiations period and at the event. We look forward to working with the organization in the near future.
