Jasmine TrinhThere is nothing else like Ms. Cleo and Desert Chamber Ballet! I have been coming to this studio for 6 months, starting out with class once a week and now I'm taking 3-4 classes a week. The classes I attend consist of a barre, floor, and center exercises. They are attended by adult students of many levels which is so awesome to see; I have met so many encouraging humans who are there because they love it. Ms. Cleo is good at supporting and challenging each student. Her love for ballet is apparent and every class has been given with that energy.
I definitely recommend giving Ms. Cleo a call and checking the studio out! It did take a few weeks for me to get comfortable with movement, I'm ridiculously shy, so don't be discouraged if you are in the same boat. It has been a great place for me to grow.
She also offers classes for kids, which I catch the end of when I arrive early for class, if you're looking for something for your youths.
Bon BonIt's a nice place for friendly females looking to bond and do some beginning ballet. Miss Cleo gets her students to look pretty in the art of ballet. Students are friendly. My complaint is she let's a barely beginner level woman teach the class. For the young students and point and adult classes. This blew my mind. Point is dangerous! Then add a teacher that has little experience in even knowing ballet. Scary. And unfortunate that she is also teaching the kids. That confused me. As far as Miss Cleo she's ok. Just call in advance and make sure she is teaching.
To her reply: this was me giving as nice as possible review. She had begged me not to write a bad review by trying to bribe me by offering a refund and a months worth of free classes for the bad teacher that can't remember the names of steps nor execute them properly. I have practiced ballet in many studios and many cities. Her sub teacher does not know ballet well and should not be teaching. Miss Cleo may know ballet but she practices a very odd ballet style. Go if you want a work out not a deep knowledge or understanding. Not far from her studio is an amazing studio that teaches beginner to professional. If you would like to know the real art of ballet and not deal with poor instruction and a shady class. I have known Miss Cleo for years same for my sister. Not sure why she chose to lie about that. I would take her class for exercise not for the amazing instruction or advancement in ballet. She begged my sister and I to attend her classes, texting and calling frequently. Pushing and guiltng us
forbiddenplanitI love this place! Desert Chamber Ballet has been my ballet home since the moment I walked in. The owner is so welcoming and so are the other students. The instruction is so wonderful! It is tailored to support and challenge every student in a way that makes class really fun. Very welcoming of adult students of every level.

Cleo is a very knowledgeable and professional instructor and I have immensely enjoyed my time dancing under her tutelage. I know, with time, consistency, and effort, any dancer can and will gain so much from dancing here. Definitely a hidden gem that more people should consider when looking for a studio!
Lori AnnI spend so much time here! Bellydance on Wednesdays and then as an adult ballet student on Thursdays and/or Fridays. Cleo is such a patient ballet teacher! I started ballet as an adult and Cleo is great at meeting you where your skill level is. I have no doubt she would use the same level of care and patience with children and teens. If you or your child is interested in dance, you owe it to yourself to check out Desert Chamber.

Jenny PhamI just took a trial at Desert Chamber Ballet! Mrs. Cleo is such an amazing teacher, I am ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY!!! She is so determined, and deserves all the students in the world! If you want to start ballet (at any age) please please PLEASEEEEE go here! She points out all my mistakes to make perfect form, please enroll your kids! I want her to start a competitive team!
