Loved the teachers, music and met some great folks in class! Since I’m not trying to memorize and perform any routine, I really enjoyed that the teachers made some choreography up on the fly with what felt right for the tracks that came up

Beautiful facility, the front desk babes were so warm and accommodating! Anna Karina was a phenomenal teacher. I've never felt so held and seen in a yoga space. AK cultivates a space of playfulness and acceptance that I've never experienced in a yoga class. It was incredibly refreshing! Gorgeous facilities. Genuine and authentic staff and teachers. Will definitely be back!

My all-time favorite dance studio. They truly show what quality dance can look like and still be rooted in justice! They make dance accessible, but of such high quality! Always incredible teachers, and always a dedication to access. Would fly to Louisiana to take another class of theirs any day

This is probably the best studio I’ve ever been to...ever! All the teachers are phenomenal, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the general atmosphere of the studio is friendly, fun, non-competitive, challenging, accessible and positive. I’ve been a member for a few years now, and even though I don’t make class as much as I’d like, I love supporting their mission to bring dance into to lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. They walk (and dance) their talk. They take good care of their staff, students, and community members and are an incredible asset to the New Orleans dance community.

Glad I found Dancing Grounds :-) They offer good quality dance classes, accessible to all & welcoming to all during this time of still limited access to this sort of thing. And, oh yeah, alongside the rolling Mississippi River with the passing ships & the water birds calling, along with the plus of great customer service if you have any questions or problems with the app or billing. In my experience if the person you ask doesn's have the answer they will find someone that does in short order. A studio of warmth & integrety. Works for me!

Going to a dance class at Dancing Grounds is pure, utter joy. The instructors are fun and energetic, the music is bumpin, and the space is friendly. I pretty much can't dance, but it doesn't matter, because I have so much fun when I'm there! Dancing Grounds is also deeply involved in the community and up to big things. Highly recommend swinging by.

Ghost of a Chance

I have taken a number of dance classes here. I did like it. But there seems to be a problem with discrimination. Some of the classes are defined as only for certain races. Since this place gets public funding, I do not think they have the right to discriminate. I could understand if the class was meant for a higher level of experience or a beginner class. But, Skin color should not be a factor in who is welcome in a class.
