My first experience selling clothes at here was awesome! The store is really clean and well organized. Smells so good! nothing like a thrift store lol. I didn’t know you can only bring 2 bags at once beforehand but other than that, everything was smooth. They bought a lot more than Plato’s closet! Ladies are really friendly too. My new go to!!

First time visiting today and I really loved it. The place is organized and clean. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The dressing area had a cozy chair in the waiting area so my husband and toddler were comfy. They have a wide selection of woman’s and men’s clothing and shoes and the styles were spot on. I walked in, and asked the ladies at the counter if someone could assist me in finding a dress for a certain occasion, and Lashonya S. Quickly came from behind the counter, and was determined to find me a dress, that not only looked alright, but that I felt good in. And shoes, and a neckles that tuned out to be a belt, but either way, it wasn’t just finding a dress it was a whole experience. Also, Brooke H. Azia A. & Sasha, made me feel like a million bucks in a dress that was $2. I will 100% be back, and Uptown Cheapskate will be my new go to place for everything. Including good conversations. The moment I walked In Victoria warmly greeted me ( I’m her mom) she still was professional and showed me the new arrivals and I ended up buying an adorable jumpsuit and a matching hat The store has limitless options and I also was excited to drop off two bags of clothes to get dollars for Fall shopping! Went in with my daughters 15 and 12 and walked out with a blazer and 2 tops!! Oh and with my girls too!😁 Very organized, clean and the staff is very friendly. When my girls were younger I use to do this system of selling and buying at Once Upon a child but now that they are fitting into adult sizes it’s wonderful to still be able to sell and buy just the same as when they were younger. If you are looking for a more mature consignment store I would highly recommend. They have a wide variety to choose from. It ranges from weekend to work wear. They have dresses, work out attire, and shoes to go with the outfits. Best part their sizes! S-2xl. They are clean, friendly, and well organized. I shop there often 😊 only downside if you return an item they will ONLY give store credit so shop wisely!

This is the kind of place Virginia Beach has needed for a long time! I tend to frequent clothes mentor, playto's and buffalo exchange in Richmond on occasion... Uptown cheapskate has a much better selection and competitive pricing. The store is well merchandised and is very well organized by sizes and colors. I can’t rave about this place anymore. Everything is basically brand new and all fair priced ($20 or less on average). They also have a great points system! I’m really tired of supporting fast fashion. It comes in the mail and I end up hating it and contributes to the problem. I get to try my items on and they’re recycled! Lastly they have a wide selection, even a fair sized men’s section!

I would consider this store a "second hand" type of reseller and not a thrift store. It's nice for those who just want the curated items nicely organized and ready to go. At check out, the employee informed me that the store tries to stay on top of what's trending and the current/upcoming seasons. So their inventory changes based on that and what they want to buy from customers is affected by this too. I spent about an hour in the store and left with 2 shirts for my husband and 2 skirts and a tshirt for myself. Total was about $30, which I was expecting because again this is not a "thrift store" with thrift prices. My only complaint is that because the items are "trending", it was a lot of cheap material fast fashion stuff... (Fashion Nova, Forever21, H&M, Shein) This is no fault of the store, but most of the items just weren't my personal style so I wasn't very impressed looking through the racks. Overall, I think if you know what to expect when going to this store you'll be satisfied with your visit. I'll probably come back but may just stick to looking at shoes or racks with the specific category I'm looking for.

This clothing store is recycling clothing, donating, and keeping clothes waste disposal down, while keeping you current and in the VA BCH vibe for cheap! It's a win win! You'll find buying on trend and name brand pieces to fit your day to day style in play, sports, casual, work or date night fashion! Clothing and accessories are available mostly for gals, but also for guys and kids. Sizes XS to XXXL. Dressing rooms are clean and well lit to try before you buy. I love how the clothes are organized by type, size, and color, which makes the experience so much fun for creating outfits or finding that must have color for your group pics! You may even have something current in your wardrobe which you can sell to them, any day EXCEPT SUNDAY, but don't expect to make much. That's a way they can sell to us at such a great price! The tunes playing seemed a little redundant in beat at times and I would like a little bit more positive vibe and variety in that direction. Also, the racks can be a bit overstuffed at times, but then I would want to see everything that's available for me, too! So...I deal with it. The staff is super helpful, greets everyone, and will assist you with shopping if you like! They really look productive while keeping a great atmosphere with their friendly attitudes. I'll be back for sure!
