This man is going out of business soon but is giving very generous discounts and he has some nice items ln stock. I bout a pair of pants there today and I learned a complete lesson on how they are made, the use of the pockets, and how you can insert knee pads so that you don't hurt your boned when you work in these pants. This man is amazing and I wish him a happy retirement. I will be back before you close for more items.

It's very sad that he's closing, but as long as he's been in business, he certainly deserves to retire. He is searching for someone to buy the business so that the store can remain open.

I meant, the owner has a way about him but he wasn't completely terrible like some of the other reviews state. Pack your reading glasses because there are so many notes around this place it's completely ridiculous. I can see why others have said that they felt like they were robbing the place and treated as such when they went in. There are way too many signs to feel welcomed. However if you can get past the signs and semi grumpy store owner, all of the female employees were very knowledgeable, nice, kind, and helpful. I've never gone snow skiing before so I took my friend in there who goes all the time and they were helping me pick out items quicker than he was. They were helping us think of things that we hadn't thought to purchase, however not in a pushy way; more of a "did you think of this." I don't have any trouble getting past a grumpy store owner if his prices are as reasonable as they are. Really, they are beyond reasonable. I would have paid more than double for what I got ANYWHERE else. I got good quality and functional ski wear from bibs, to thermals, to ski socks, to cool goggles, to waterproof phone-friendly gloves, to the awesome snow jacket. I paid for my entire order what others pay for JUST the jacket. It's pretty incredible. So if you are headed our skiing, this is THE place to go. Just be nice to people.

It says big and tall, but they can fit you at any size. Went to get me a 5x jacket and bibs, went back with grandson and suited him up too. Returned for Christmas gifts because the price and quality can't be beat. Definitely recommend.

They've got a ton of stuff but good luck finding it. Decent prices on ski gear. if you're going during the winter you should probably dress warm since they don't run much heat in that old place. Everybody there is sweet and great to help you. Awesome service...

I went here for ski gear for an upcoming trip. I got new ski bibs, gloves, ear "muffs", and socks for about $60. They have a really good variety and the staff is very helpful. It is definitely jam packed with merchandise. They have MUCH more than just ski wear as well. It is also a good place for men's big and tall work/casual clothing.

This is a good place. But they could use some work on the prices.the good thing is is that you can literally by any size you need from little too very very big . And it is kind of like an army surplus. So you can get other things to. it has that old school feel you can tell that it's been there for a while. But they have a little bit of everything for everybody. So if you need clothes Boots sweaters coats, beanies hats rain boots rain coats camping equipment this is the place to go.

I highly recommend Sam's if you are looking for gear and clothing for skiing ! (and tons of surplus too!) They have tons of jackets, bibs, gloves, goggles, socks, and several types of helmets. The staff was attentive and helpful. The owner spent a lot of time with my boys, showing them the different types of helmets and explaining the differences. I am super glad that we went with the better helmet, as both boys took some nasty spills while on the slopes, and they both said that they felt the better helmets were a key factor in them not getting seriously injured ! We enjoyed our trip to Sam's, they have a great selection and great prices ! Go to Sam's, you wont be disappointed !

Definitely a weird store. They have some good deals, but they have downright shady policies when it comes to returns. Examine what you are buying, and then be damn sure you won't need to return them. They have some great products at decent prices, but don't try to roll in there in a wheelchair as the store has some extremely narrow aisles and you have to step up into the back part of the store. With all of the hand written signage posted EVERYWHERE you will feel as though you are seen as a thief and a nuisance from the moment you begin shopping there.

Great prices. Good people. Gene is a good hearted person who seems to be greatly misunderstood. Unless you've either dealt with someone who has a sense of humor like his before or you, yourself have a sense of humor that rubs others like a Yankee accent in a Texas saloon. He comes across as brash, harsh, abrasive, and just downright mean, if you don't understand. I personally watched the man give a massive discount to a young man who was short on funds in order to help him purchase an item that was required for his job. He had never met him before. He said he hadn't been there in years. I had only stopped in to get some paracord for my hobby. I just happened to be there at the right time to be a witness to a kind act to a stranger. I don't normally put reviews online but I felt it necessary since there are so many negative ones out there. This isn't the first time I've witnessed his kindness and generosity, nor will it be his last, I'm certain.

It is a little crowded, but the man was really kind and helpful. I also got a 10% discount because I came in the store in my Boy Scout uniform. They have some of the cheapest paracord around, $0.08/ft. I would definitely go there again.

I have driven by this store hundreds of times and never knew what it was. A friend recommended that I stop by. I was greeted first thing when I walked in. The owner was also told they had a new customer in the store and he came back personally to check if I needed anything. They have a lot of inventory that I will definitely have to go back and check out without my children. A hidden gem of OKC. A must stop for any outdoorsmen.

This honestly a five star experience!! First of all, all the staff greeted us as we walked in and asked if we were looking for anything specific to point us in the right direction. I was also pretty impressed with the amount of inventory the store had! Not being from okc I’ve always heard sams was the spot to go if I was looking for well priced workwear and boy they weren’t lying!! So all in all it was a very positive experience and I’m looking forward to my next trip there!

Sam's is the most economical place to get ski wear, camping wear, construction wear and things like that in Oklahoma City. The owner definitely has a way about him as others have said, and that's they only reason for not giving 5 stars. Their quality, selection and prices compare with what you would find online. But you can try it on before you buy it. I bought a ski coat there several years ago that's held up well and still looks brand new. Picked up a new pair of ski bibs for $35 today. My wife and daughter also found coats and ski pants/bibs that they thought were 'super cute'. Just don't take the owner too seriously and you'll walk out with exactly what you need at an unbeatable price.

Unique place. Lots of clothes just crammed in...quirky signage...kind of an experience just to go. But found my skinny welding daughter some good workpants at great prices. So not all oversize but they did have some really really huge clothes. Also lots of ski wear, jackets, and coats.

This place is old. It is one of the best place in the state to find items you can't find anywhere else. Need really big cloth sizes, gloves, hats, jackets and a gazillion other items all in regular or plus sizes? This place has it. It is also somewhat of an Army surplus store as well. Nice man that owns it. Nothing is expensive. Great place to have fun buying or shopping for things you can't find at a major dept. store.

Great place to buy FRC. Good selection and reasonably priced clothes. Also has a wide variety of other things surplus related. Rain suits camping gear etc. will absolutely be back to buy clothes and fr clothes. I bought frc coveralls for less than half the cost of most anywhere else and the quality is better than the more expensive places. They went out of their way to help me with anything I needed. Go in and check it out. You won’t be sorry

Honestly, when you drive up to the place it looks old, kinda run down and when you go inside it kinda smells like an old building. Putting the aestetics aside. Its Awesome. They have great a great selection of hunting, security, and Oilfield Fire Retardant Clothes. The best thing is the CRAZY low prices. I bought a Big and Tall Hoodie there for 30 bucks. At any B&T store id pay around 90.00 just for a T-Shirt. Hoodies in the Hundreds. Id give this place a 10/10.
