As a costume shop it mostly has the generic costumes. Nothing abstract or unique. The location is cool, the parking is okay a little tight. I suppose if you needed costumes for kids it's definitely available adults not as much unique choices there.

I absolutely love this place. I dont know anything aboit pools. This year we bought an intex pool more for the kids. But……i like to sit in it too. JC was so patient with me. I asked a million questions abd most of them was to repeat and explain again. This man has patience. And he explained everything what i should do what i should buy. He never lost his cool. Its as if he didnt mind. That afternoon i called back i was asking the person on the phone named Rhina she was amazing too! Great seasonal place . Its def my go to for place for all seasons

very wide selection of festive Christmas stuff definitely have to look around for a little bit they have a lot of different things watch your pricing because some of the prices are a little bit high but I'm sure they'll be having a big sale after Christmasthey have a seven-day return policy with original receipt keep an eye on that. This place always has what you need for the holidays. We visited for Halloween costumes and didn't see a particular, relatively popular costume wig on display. We asked an attendant who didn't just assume it wasn't available because it wasn't on the racks. He went to the back and found exactly what we needed! I'm always impressed with the selection and quality customer service. No surprise they've been in business so long!

We go to the state fair Christmas store every year, and, this year we were taken back on how the store shrunk?? It's less than half the size it was...so, needless to say, less items. They used to have a big room with all Christmas trees, beautifully decorated; but, that's gone; now, they just have several trees scattered throughout the store.

Seasonal store. Good selection. Ok staff. Decent parking. Nearby pizzeria. Not sure if there's a public bathroom. No return, refund or exchange policy. Shop after Christmas like I did. Most stuff is half off after the holiday. Decent parking.

Just went in to check out some Halloween stuff. The store is still nice and selection looked good, but the size of the store from what it always use to be is definitely depressing. Use to be really big and great experience to walk in to. They reduced the size greatly. The back wall is much closer to the entrance now and the side areas are gone. Alot less to display now and the experience of what it once was is gone.

Before today, it was YEARS since I was at this store. I must say it has been an improvement in the way the staff treats their customers. The employee (young male, not sure his name) was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the pool chemicals and they were very well stocked (surprisingly since there is allegedly a shortage of chlorine). Unfortunately, the store is much smaller then in the past due to way less business. But I'm happy they are still here. Their pool cleaning and pool chemical stuff was well priced and I thought that was great. However, I felt like their pool floaties were a bit over priced in my opinion. If I was in management I would consider that.

Fair selection of items, but no longer the super place it once was. As they struggle, the size of the store continues to shrink, and selection (due to store constraints) suffers. For Halloween they are no better than your run of the mill spirit of Halloween store, summer pool supply prices are high, and Christmas is overpriced and no better than most box stores at this point. If convenient, worth a stop, but certainly no longer worth going out of your way to shop there.

Big selections of both scary🧟‍♂️ & hilarious😜 costumes & decorations. Can't find what you're looking for at Party City, this is the place to go. Most Joker costumes were sold out at other places, but State Fair had plenty. Parental discretion needed for smaller kids, because some costumes/decor are a outrageous (scary/provocative)😉 But wide range of prices for any budget size. Love this place!😄😍

I love Halloween & in the past I believe Halloween at State Fair "started" around Sept 12. It was around my husband's birthday. I've been coming to this store around 30 years. I've seen it evolve over the years. But today when I stopped in I was surprised & kind of disappointed as they were not entirely ready. Employees were still in the process of unpacking merchandise. There were no animated displays set up. I'm hoping that within the next week or so they'll be ready. Giving them the benefit of a doubt because as everybody knows this has been a year from hell in many different ways.

I really like the store because any time of year it's fun to go to. I remember going as a kid for Halloween, Christmas, or even in the summer just to go with him for pool trips. However the one thing I really hate is when I was leaving, there were a group of cashiers that did not wear their masks and had it over their chins. I was a little upset by that because it's one thing to be in the back and doing that (which I think is fine because they're nowhere near the customers) It's another thing to do it right in front of them.

It's a regular store with great stuff for the changing seasons. But the staff seem uninterested in helping the customers all the way up to the cashiers. So if you know what you want and don't need assistance your fine. But my wife and daughter and myself needed help but it didn't work out so we walked out.

Great store. Mostly sold out of many things as of 12/20/20. I thought there would still be more as of this date. I went one year after Christmas and was able to find many items. I guess 2020 may be unusual. Next year I'll go around Thanksgiving.

Absolutely love this location, great selections of Halloween decorations and props including costumes for adults and children. They even sell Halloween contacts on hand, limited to certain selections and prices do seem to be a bit more expensive then other Halloween stores. Plenty of parking and a great pizzeria next door to them 🎃🤡🎈

Prices are way too high for the quality and texture of my already bought costume, but the store was pretty clean and well ventilated. Also, the staff responded to me with moral etiquette and respect. That business is a fair enough balanced scale. I've seen and experienced a lot more worse in other businesses, so I count my blessings. I had the best experience at State Fair. I took my son daughter in law and 8 month old grandson there for his first costume. They had to evacuate their home in North Carolina due to hurricane Florence. They came to NJ. Upon arriving to State Fair we were told the Halloween section wasn’t open yet. I explained our situation to a lovely lady at the register. She spoke to her manager and allowed us to enter the costume section and get my grandson his first costume. You have restored my faith in humanity which is tried on a daily basis. They were so sweet and kind in understanding our situation. So looking forward to my trip to NC to trick or treat with my grandson aka precious little puppy( his costume). Thank you again ladies you made a difficult situation much brighter for my family. Job well done!!!!

Very spacious place. Great customer service. They have everything you need for the holidays. I went there to pick up Halloween supplies. I picked up some graftobian face paint, blood gel, and liquid latex. Their prices are pretty fair. About the same as online. TONS of costumes.

By far the BEST Halloween store around. Beats all of the pop-up stores and Party City. They have great customer service and outstanding prices! The selection is truly incomparable to other stores. They have specialty make-up, up-scale decorations, great bargain costumes and masks! Also, their haunted house is awesome! Perfect for a weekend night with the kids. I have to say I do like State Fair because I love holidays Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. They have great decorations fun decorations and some other things but I kind of think they're too pricey a lot of things that I like I can't afford.

This place is a Season and Holiday super store. Everything you could possibly need for the holidays and pool season. Only one thing I notice as of lately. The management and some employees do not follow the State's Mandate to wear a mask indoors. Complete disregard for customers and employees.

State Fair Seasons aka Spirit Halloween is located on Main Street in Belleville I came here for last minute Halloween Shopping the store was very busy my experience was ok they have all the costumes you need and if you’re just looking for any type of costume it’s good the service is alright the vibe is bad though they do have lots of ghost in there

They had every type of costume or prop thaf you could imagine. I didn't really care for some of the staff though. While it wasn't a big deal a few seemed a bit complacent and were off in their own world instead of answering questions. For the most part, the experience here was fine and I recommend.

Just went to the State Scare Haunted House over the weekend and it was pretty good. My gf def got scared and the whole set and costumes and actors were really good. This is one of the better ones in the area. At $20/person it is a little expensive, but it was a good time. Highly recommended. (p.s. - there is a coupon for $2 off online).

Remember when they used to sell hot tubs here? I went one time years ago and this super coked up guy in an ill fitting suit with large shoulder pads was yelling at this bleach blonde plastic surgery disaster about how her electric bill wouldn't go up THAT much for having the hot tub LOL

When i first walked in i said hello to the lady who i seen first she didn't say anything back i dont know if she did not hear me or if she just didnt speak back but then another lady walks up and says hello and asked what did i need help with today but befor i can tell her a gentleman comes out the back and helps me from start to finish and i thank him so much for helping me he was customer friendly he listened and gave his best advice and he was very resourceful. If i didnt know better i would thought the 2 ladies were a little racist but thats ok.
