very nice store with cute clothes. one problem i had though was with a dress. i got a tiered maxi dress with a belt, but one of the belt straps was very down, like at the first tier of the dress. the other belt strap was at the waist. i couldn’t tie the belt then with one belt strap. the other belt strap that was very low also looked a bit weird. i don’t know if this was the design or what, but i would appreciate knowing.

One of the most amazing ing places for Hejabi women , and what makes it the perfect place in Brooklyn is the customer service and I mean exactly Djihan the young girl on the cashier she is such a kind and very hospitable person she helped me a lot she , I know that I bother her being very picky but she was there emailing helping digesting and checking her stock over one or 2 hours . The place is stunning with the new stuff design they have .

Urban Modesty is truly breaking barriers. I’ve never seen a Muslim, woman-owned clothing store with such trendy, fun pieces! It’s hard to find stylish modest clothing these days, but they hit the nail on the head every time. They have such a variety of styles, the most COMFORTABLE and versatile hijabs, and very friendly staff. I have a wedding coming up and the girls helped me find the perfect dress and matching hijab. I highly recommend everyone stop by the store or shop online! You won’t be disappointed.

Urban Modesty got a variety of Modest dresses at reasonable prices. Love that the under lining is full and sleeves are full. A lot of dresses to chose from Casual to Party wear. My only complaint is about the sizing of the dress, I usually fit in to M/L & the dress I liked was upto size 6xxxxxxl and i was surprised and asked the lady to measure the bust size so that I don’t have to come back and M/L was size 4xl so please make sure that you get your dress correctly measured. I would love to shop online but because of size being off I am a bit hesitant.

I’ve shopped many times on 5th Avenue for modest dresses and there’s no store that compares to Urban Modesty. Theres a huge selection of dresses in different colors and sizes. Let alone matching hijabs. The employees here are extra helpful and welcoming. They even worked extra hard to find a dress that runs small to fit my 9 year old for an upcoming event. I’m so glad I found this store. This will be my new one-stop shop and it should be yours too!

Their website is well-designed, easy to navigate, and there was a sale too so I wasted no time picking out stuff! I made a pickup order and went to the store the next day. Loved my purchase of two light breathable scarves that helped me stay sane in this heat!! The price was right! $15 a piece. I'd buy more but they only had two colors. The size of the scarfs was perfect. But seriously they gotta remove some of the dummies or clear up the space so that "shopping" can be easy. It felt like I was in a house of mirrors since I would sometimes forget which part of the shop I was in-- surrounded by abayas at almost every corner. (And any piece hanging should ideally be ironed). I am suggesting the owner hires a decorator who can help her plan the floor in a way that is functional. The ladies were super respectful and gave me a free pin for a review here.

It was my first time going to this store and all I can say is that I had a great experience. First, I just want to mention that unlike other stores within that area (speaking respectively from my own experience) I really liked the fact that they didn’t follow me around, I was relaxed and comfortable while looking around. Taking into consideration that I am a very indecisive person who can’t settle on something quickly, I was able to do that while standing on the side because I didn’t feel like I was being judged or followed around. I think the price range for the scarves and head caps are affordable. If I correctly remember the head caps were $5 and all scarved were $10. The staff tries their best to get you what you’re looking for. I also got free magnets :). Definitely will be visiting again, soon.

So I came into the store on a recommendation of a family member and I'm so glad I did. Right away I noticed the cute social media backdrop and the store was clean and well maintained. I had my lil one with me, she was so excited about the wall of colorful scarves, we were then greeted by who I now know is Amal the manager she let us know we can have a hijab free with our purchase she was really nice. I took a look around everything was gorgeous. I spotted a black and white sweater that was long and covered the hips I was relieved because all the retail shops I have been to lately have cropped styled shirts. I looked to find my size and I was approached by Mayar who told me it was one size fits all, her an Amal agreed it would definitely fit me so I took their advice and they were right! I had a great experience the staff was friendly and professional we laughed and had small talk I will definitely be coming back!
