OMG they literally have EVERYTHING. It's a one stop shop where you can get your Halloween done for good. Wigs, costumes, props, contact lenses, makeups, socks, headband, ribbons, horns, masks, you name it. I think the price is a bit high tho. But man you must see how crazy big this place is, I got lost in here.

ok. went there on Monday to check why google didn't list the place as being closed as so many people are stating the place is closed. Now the main store is definitely closed. However the sub store , Gothic Renaissance is open and sells a limited array of costumes. plus of course some gothic /steampunk merchandise . So you would have to call G.R or go there. it is located right next to Halloween Adventure shop. prices seem to be the same as the main store. I didn't check on anything more. sorry guys.

Halloween Adventure is open again! glad to have them back. their stock is not as overflowing as before lockdown but nothing beats shopping in person for the details of a costume. their stage makeup, contacts, and fangs selection is still extensive.

The weekend before Halloween and I thought this place would be packed but it was decent and plenty of staff to help find specific costumes. They actually sell squid game soldier masks at the register so this made the trip there that much better. The staff being helpful made things run smooth.

This is an amazing store and that is a fact. What truly upset me is that nowhere on google nor their site does it say they are closed till fall 2021. Drive 2.5 hours specifically to come here only to find out it is temporarily closed till further the fall. Wasted 5 hours round trip when a simple update could have saved a lot of time and gas (which is not cheap nowadays). Will def come back, but it was really upsetting.

One of the best Halloween Costume Stores I’ve ever been. The staff is super friendly and you can find any theme from horror, superheroes, gladiators, star wars, pirates, gangsters, among other specific things. Prices for costumes are around $30-$120. You can also find wigs, beards, masks, makeup, and prosthetics. Hope this helps!

They showed me their collection of hats/costumes that would work for the event and left me to do my shopping. Exactly what I love about in person shopping. Prices are very reasonable. Almost too good! I went in with a friend today and luckily it's April because it was busy enough as it was. Every costume item you can think of from cheap and tacky to beautifully crafted unique pieces. They have a great makeup/hair/wig section and the friendly and bubbly employees really know their stuff and are more than happy to share their wealth of knowledge. I can't wait to go back

This is literally your one-stop shop all year round for ANY and all costume goodies! I've been living in Manhattan for 13 years and whenever I need anything costume related, from props to masks, ensembles to wigs, I know this is the first stop on my list of places to hit up! This store spans a block and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! Spooky contacts, theater make-up - you name it, they've got it! The staff is always helpful and here to answer any questions! Definitely worth checking out if you need a costume on the fly or even if you're looking for the off-beat item!

This place is open all year round, for anytime you want to get yourself a costume for a special occasion. The store is huge, and has a wide range of costumes and costume accessories. The staff is friendly and will answer any and every question you may have, Some items are marked relatively inexpensive, while others you would be better off buying at the 99 cent store. Great store to duck into if you're bored and on 4th avenue.

Worked here one Halloween season and the job was hectic.. but this is a great store for costumes and parties and all kinds of stuff from comedy to horror to gag gifts and parades.. there is a magic shop in the basement and you can get custom costumes made for the right price... They have alot of contact lenses to choose from and a make up/ special effects booth in the front.. They carry costumes for adults, men, women, kids, and even dogs. Plus there is a sexy adult section downstairs... Very cool place... Be ready to look around alot.

They did not happen to have the obscure, apparently long-discontinued item I wanted but I cannot imagine anyone entering this gargantuan costume emporium with twists, turns and niches not finding what they ate looking for. Absolutely mind-numbing the selection, quality and workmanship. If you are planning to buy a Halloween costume, I am confident you will find what you are looking for here (only down the block and around the corner from the Strand Book Store).

While their selection is vast and amazing their pricing is odd at times something can be found 15$ cheaper online and other times it feels like a real bargain but its never in between its always one or the other. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful but I felt a little pushy in terms of asking to help, every couple of feet someone asked me if I needed anything which some may like but I felt was intrusive.

Super overwhelming - year round costume store. Obviously it is packed all around Halloween - and they have everything imaginable that you could want - though it is a bit dark and cluttered. Not unreasonably expensive (especially when compared to pop up shops), and staff is friendly though not very useful. Great for browsing, idea generation, full blown outfits (and rentals), and finishing touch accessories. Relevant all year round - whenever you want to play dress up.

This place has a costume for every idea. I chose an Egyptian woman and it came with a headdress wrist and arm cuffs and separately up for a serpent entwined around a pole I am going to look so hot. And the price wasn't bad either

Staff is always to lend a hand, make recommendations and provide their expertise without trying to upsell. Even if you're not in the market to shop, definitely worth a browse. I came here in the middle of September looking for a Comic Con outfit. The staff was super helpful there. They have a no try-on policy which super sucks, since they also have a no return or exchange policy. I'm not sure if that's just seasonal cause it's so close to Halloween or if it is like that year-round. Since I couldn't try the costumes on, a staff member helped me open the packages and let me hold items up or try items on over my clothes to kind of get an idea if it would fit. I ended up leaving with something that fit perfectly. They have a huuuuuuge selection though, so props to them for that.

If you're looking for a costume and don't want to go to more than one store then this is the store for you. This isn't a boutique kind of place with 1 thing on display. EVERYTHING is on display. They also rent costumes and sell magic paraphanalia.

The only reason I'm not giving more starts is the lack of special fx make up. No prosthetics, spirit gum, blood, ect. Otherwise there is a huge selection of masks costumes and props. Very impressed with the mask selection.

I am always here. I seem to continually need costumes or props. It's like Halloween year-round here in this large store. The workers might not be super warm and fuzzy, but I find them knowledgeable and helpful. I have tried on costumes here too before, though they limit you to I believe one option. The pricing ends up usually being more than if you ordered online, but there's something to be said for it being here, no shipping costs, and ability to have it now to have it altered more quickly, if you need that to happen.

They have so much stuff here! You can find almost all of what you're looking for in this one location. The prices are a little higher than some of the smaller stores, but it's got such a huge selection it can be worth it to buy right there. I love the animal masks and decorations. Any of the bag costumes are going to run $50+ anywhere, so be aware that it's always a little expensive. If you're into magic, check out the magician store downstairs. They also do custom designed costumes, but be prepared to pay for quality.

Amazing selection! Not just a Halloween store. Many common party and costume items as well as very cool things I have only seen for sale here. On the pricey side so if you want run of the mill stuff this is not the place to go, but if you are looking for something unique then definately check this place out.

This store is like a halloween adventure on it’s own. There’s a huge variety of costumes, masks, accessories, etc. It’s so much fun to walk through the aisles. They even have an entire section dedicated to makeup.

Very good costume shop in a convenient location. Very wide range of slecetions from kids stuff to adult costumes, goth to raunchy, video games to TV series... etc. Price is about average - you may be able to find cheaper alternatives elsewhere, but it is much more convenient to find a costume in one place. Not for the faint hearted though, as the place is decked out with ghost and ghouls, masked killer and crazy nannys galore!

Came here for the “latex monkey mask” right before Halloween. It was the icing on the cake for my costume. Like a fool I showed up here 24 hours before Halloween, and the store was a mad house, with a long line for 2 registers. Yeah-the store took measures to increase staff, but if they were smart should have opened up more registers, or modernized ways of paying. However, this place has everything you would ever need and is a 365/day operation.

Good and huge selection of costumes and related gear. It's probably the biggest asset last in Manhattan. TIP: if you have to go within a week or so of Halloween, find a way to go early in the day and you'll be fine versus going in the evening with literally hundreds of people mobbing the store and checkout lines. They have more stuff downstairs including me expensive rental costumes.

Halloween comes once a year, but I have friends who love to throw costume parties all year long. I went shopping here for a luau and a St. Patrick's Day party. There is a large variety of costumes, as well as prices. The staff is very helpful. Prices vary.

Check out the pre-printed t-shirts for gore or glamour. The place is a maze, so take time to explore all the cobwebbed nooks and crannies. Or ask the helpful staff to see if they can locate what you want in the inventory.

The service varies depending who you talk to. First time I was here, the service was excellent 👌🏽super friendly and very helpful. The next time I was there, this rude lady was not in a helpful mood. Don’t know if she was a manager, but she was not friendly to the customers. I was there at a time where it wasn’t crowded, so the stress level was very low... but she wasn’t.

This is THE place to go in NYC for a halloween costume. If you're going anywhere else, you've made a huuuuge mistake. This place is halloween heaven- (or hell... can I say that?) I usually end up coming here the weekend before halloween- which is a great idea because the place gets PACKED. If it's too crowded they'll start to line people up outside and let you in a few at a time as people leave. They have probably everything you could think of. I'll try to remember the sections (not all had signs): decorations, hats, glasses/accessories, super heroes, star wars, star trek, cartoon characters, steampunk, gangsters/flappers, medieval, roman soldier, traditional horror/hollywood movie monsters, occupation, playboy bunny, video game characters, couples costumes, silly costumes, sexual innuendos, "420", masks, makeup, kids (infant/toddler/tween) and more. Downstairs are rentals and I overheard from a worker that that's where they had their "sexy" costumes but I got what I needed upstairs so I didn't check it out. The lines to pay at first scared me but they moved incredibly quick. I was really happy to be in and out once I got what I needed. You NEED to come here - albeit earlier - to avoid the hustle and bustle of tourists and last minute shoppers. The place is full of creepy things to check out as you shop to. Go here! You won't be disappointed.

It's a very difficult atmosphere to enter if you don't know (laughs) The store is so large that you cannot imagine from the entrance, and there are many products. Perhaps because it's America, there are many types of official Disney and American comic costumes, and there were many authentic costumes that cost over $500 (¥50,000) that you won't see in Japan. There are a lot of grotesque items, and I felt that this is unique to America. Also, costumes such as "Lost Accessory" are sold at a discounted price, and there is a possibility that you can find a cheap bargain. Since I went there after Halloween, the store seemed to have been cleaned up quite a bit, but it seems that the displays were even more intense before Halloween (laughs).

A costume specialty store. The inside of the store is very large and has an interesting maze-like structure. (My favorite ◯ Ledge Vanguard is aiming for here...) The sense of fulfillment of horror things is impressed. As the store name suggests, it looks even better during Halloween. There are many other accessories such as headgear, swords, and Star Wars items. It looks good for displays such as shops. It's fun because there are a lot of things that you can't easily see in Japan.
