My experience here absolutely exceeded my expectations. It was my first time trying on wedding dresses. Kelly was so amazing to work with, she was so upbeat, made me feel so special, & was so happy to help me find and try on dresses. She really made my experience something that I won't ever forget. The dresses are so elegant & classy, with just enough sexy...& they are all handmade in the USA too! The store was beautiful & "Fall" the dog was a sweet added touch. We actually had the whole store to ourselves which made it fun! I highly recommend looking at Modern Trousseau for wedding dresses, you will not be disappointed.

If I could give Modern Trousseau 100 stars, I absolutely would!!! I was able to customize the gown I chose into my absolute dream wedding dress… their design team is beyond incredible and walked me through all the options I had to make the dress exactly what I wanted. The best part? There were no additional charges to add these customizations and the dress was literally MADE FOR ME! I didn’t have to spend much extra on alterations because of the number of measurements they take before the gown is made. They even have an alterations option where the woman doing said alterations will pick the dress up for you and there’s absolutely zero stress about having the dress in your home or around your future husband until right before wedding day. I’m not the type of girl that expected to cry when I found “the dress” but working with their stylists and being told everything I wanted could and WOULD be a reality, I definitely cried. Best experience of my life and I wish I could do it all over again!!

JOYFUL, knowledgeable, over the top! I went to Modern Trousseau to get my wedding dress a few months ago, and from the minute I walked in, Kelly was warm, excited, and asked questions first. She encouraged what I loved while guiding me to try different options as well. She was personally affirming and knowledgeable about various wedding dress makers/brands. When I went back to get my dress fitted, she remembered all the details from the first day I purchased the dress and I had the same wonderful experience with her the second time as I did the first. Oh my goodness! I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Modern Trousseau with Alexis. She and her helper were so professional, kind, and fun, which made the process of finding a dress so enjoyable! They are helping me out significantly with cleaning and alterations, which has been such a gift. I had a wonderful experience with Modern Trousseau in Nashville! After looking at soo many dresses in Atlanta and then Nashville, I kept feeling like I found dresses that I loved...but there were just a couple of things I wished I could change. I loved bits and pieces of various dresses but struggled to find one that I loved everything about. I finally went to Modern Trousseau and they were so encouraging and patient with me - allowing me to customize just about every aspect of my gown! They said "yes, we can do that!" to all of my requests (adding buttons, making a belt, lowering the back, etc.) and the final product turned out stunningggg! I have a challenging body type to fit and the sweet woman who did my alterations was a magician as well. I am forever grateful!

I am giddy to share that I found "the dress" at Modern Trousseau in downtown Nashville a few weeks ago. Kelly was incredibly responsive when I asked some questions over email, before I went into the store. Because these dresses are custom-made-to-order, American made and incredible quality, most brides looking at Modern Trousseau have a higher budget than I did. Kelly encouraged me to still come and check out the sample sale as there would be a few items that would fall into a price range I was comfortable with ($3000). Kelly was eager to accommodate my needs, showing me a few dresses and veils that would work for me. I found a gorgeous dress that was on their sample sale - almost 50% off original cost. It was perfect and completely undamaged. I was not a "typical customer" but she never made me feel as though I was any less than someone customizing their gown. She spent plenty of time with me, making sure I had everything I needed, took pictures, helped me facetime my mom, and I purchased my dress that day :) When I came in the next day with my sister - she let me spend as much time as I needed "feeling myself" in my dress, and we found me a beautiful veil - a style I would not have selected without her expertise! She also suggested planners and makeup artists for me - vendors I had not yet secured. Thanks to Kelly and team (and the cute in-store dog). I love supporting American made and can't wait to rock my dress in May! Tip: arrive plenty early, there are paid parking garages throughout downtown that are a short walk - and opt to try dresses on in the front mirror with the big windows - better light there!

I went to Modern Trousseau for a sample sale in April of last year one year before my wedding. I hadn't tried on any dresses before, and I absolutely should have. I walked in and was asked if I was ready to purchase a dress, and then was rushed through trying on dresses. I felt pressured to purchase that day, being asked whether I'd regret if the sample dress was gone the next day. I can't speak to dress shopping outside of the sample sale here, but I'd recommend knowing exactly what you want before going in for the samples. The ladies were very nice, but definitely pressured me to buy.

I was down to the wire finding a dress (wedding was 4 weeks away!) and the women of the MT team made what had been a stressful process an absolute joy! Such a good experience from start to finish! I had been to a few places already and was starting to get a little discouraged about finding the right dress for me. Lisa and Kelly were so sweet, extremely helpful, and just overall really positive and fun! The ability to customize features of the dress (and veil) to make the fit/style/silhouette unique to each individual is a HUGE bonus - cannot overstate this enough. If you are getting married and dress shopping you MUST GO HERE!!! I shopped around at several bridal boutiques looking for a dress that I loved and felt comfortable in, and was starting to get very discouraged. Madison told me to touch and feel every dress in the shop because they all could be customized, which was music to my ears! Working with the women at Modern Trousseau in Nashville was a dream experience. Allie (who is now at the New York Store) made sure I was comfortable, excited and most importantly confident. The dress I ended up choosing was the last dress of the day, at the last shop, so I almost didn’t try it on. Allie insisted that, “it speaks louder when its on” and it’s safe to say, she was right - She nailed it. I felt like ME in this dress! I have had the pleasure of working with the owner and manager of the store for the past year and I consider them dear friends. I am constantly amazed by their ability to create beautiful custom gowns, and their fantastic customer service. They can really accommodate any of your formal attire needs. I was fortunate enough to wear one of their dresses to the CMA Awards last year and I could not have received more compliments! It was a beautiful short dress titled "Dafney" and I can hardly wait to wear it to another event. Mary Claire is the manager of Modern Trousseau and she is wonderful! The store is absolutely beautiful and I guarantee you will love their dresses. They have the best selection in Nashville by far!

Loved my dress I purchased here. It was a vintage feeling lace with beading all over for a hint of sparkle. I ordered a custom dress. After months of waiting it was in and I got to try it on. The dress didn't fit me anymore. I may have gained a little weight but it was too tight and the bust area was sooo huge. Alterations took care of everything but it had to be taken out about an inch in order to zip and the bust had to be taken in over an inch on each side. For this being a custom dress I would have thought it would have fit better. This was my first wedding dress purchase and hopefully my only one-so maybe this is what happens.

Just want to say this was the best experience in wedding dress shopping. We had been to another shop with no luck and I have to say dress shopping is not my daughter’s favorite thing to to do, but the ladies made it exciting and they pulled different types of dresses for her to try that she would not have normally chosen. They asked questions about how she felt in every dress and kept pulling new ones for her to try. Finally we got the first smile in a dress all day. She kept going back to that dress after trying on others and they would have her compare one dress to the best one. Last thing on my mind was finding a (cough cough) second dress for my wedding in July (two months away)!! Little did I know, I would walk down Church Street to see “The Dress”! Madison was an INCREDIBLE dress consultant! We felt welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. I found a dress I liked and she encouraged me to feel sure, and try on more dresses (as we had an appointment somewhere else an hour later). I ended up buying a dress somewhere else, and felt terribly I couldn’t buy and give credit to Madison. Especially since at the other place they pressured me into making my decision that moment (which I hated). Madison deserves a raise, and the dresses here are beautiful.

I have had the most incredible time working with the girls at Midern Trousseau. My initial appointment was a real show stopper. I was given undivided attention and they paid attention to every detail. I told them what I wanted and they stuck to it. I was never pressured to try on anything I didn’t want to and I was never pushed to make a purchase. Instead I was encouraged to only try on what made me feel beautiful and that if I found something I loved, to take time to think on it and then decide so I knew it was right. I felt comfortable giving honest feedback and I knew that my opinion was valued. At the end of the first appointment, and after finding my dream dress, the associate I was working with revealed herself as the designer, Callie. I was blown away and so thankful for the experience. I knew that I would end up with exactly what I wanted considering I ended up liking two dresses and requesting they be put together to make one gown! My second appointment for my official fitting was just as phenomenal. I, again, worked with the designer and felt so comfortable and truly cared for the whole time. Another associate was helping with the process and was so kind and so much fun to be with. My fiancé and I are big FSU fans and come to find out, she also went to FSU!!! So we were able to chat and laugh about our common love for garnet and gold. A few weeks after my appointment I got the sweetest hand written note from her stating her excitement for me and she even remembered the details about FSU! The experience has been amazing and I know it will continue to be so. I can’t wait until my dress comes in. I know it’s going to be perfect. I am so thankful for my experience with Modern Trousseau and I would encourage anyone in search of a wedding gown to visit their shop!
