As a plus size girl, this store made me want to cry from joy. It felt so inclusive and good to feel like nothing was wrong with my body after so many years shopping in stores that didn’t carry my size. Prices were super reasonable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Had changing rooms open! I’d wear a mask if I were you!

I loooove Cake! It’s so nice to find clothing from Target, Old Navy, Torrid, and more all in one spot. Big stores are overwhelming and it’s refreshing to be in one shop and know there is going to be cute stuff that fits me. The fitting rooms are top tier: great lighting, fans, and lots of room to move around and it feels comfortable to try stuff on.

I’ve been shopping and selling to cake for years and I absolutely Love this place. Most recently I came in to pick up a few items that I bought with store credit and I seriously believe this store is run by a group of individuals that feel a sense of community. They make you feel like a friend walking into the store. I just want Cat and her crew to know that they are so appreciated and a bright spot in this space. I love the leadership team who have taken over for Cat, they are truly wonderful and continue the wonderful work. Thanks for all you do and the fat liberation and positivity you exude ❤️

I drive 4 hours to the twin cities just to go to Cake! I LOVE this store and have only been treated with kindness and care each visit. Each time I have been there, staff have gone out of their way to show me new items they haven't hung up yet in my size. This weekend was the first time I sold items to Cake. It was a great experience. I was very happy they purchased so much of what I brought and the money I made! I went in with super low expectations and was floored with the experience. I also really appreciate that they are so clear on their website and social media about what they buy, the buying process (and updates about the buying process) and their hours. I love their body positive message and that they seek out larger sizes to truly be size inclusive. I'm grateful to be able to support a business owned and operated by folx who are making this world a better place!

We traveled from Ohio to visit Cake! My husband bought a style session with Cat for my birthday and I had such a wonderful experience. Cat took my style inspiration and had a rack of clothes waiting for me to try on and navigated how each piece felt and how it could be styled with me. I never felt rushed, and when I didn't like a print or color I wasn't pressured to try it on anyways. I have so many pieces in my wardrobe now and would encourage anyone wondering if this would be a good experience to try it!

I’ve had such a fantastic experience buying from Cake. I love buying clothes resale to keep things out of landfills and they have such TOP quality plus-sized apparel from so many different brands. I also appreciate that they don’t believe that plus-sizes end at 22/24 like so many places do. Follow them on IG for sneak peeks and don’t sleep on their mystery bags. Highly recommend and wish I could go in-person someday!!

It was amazing. Finally to go to a store that is dedicated to me and my size. The choices were unbelievable. Now I know where to bring my shoes and my clothes, instead of giving them away. If I had one complaint the music that the young lady was playing was inappropriate for the environment when I mentioned it she changed it which I really appreciated, other than that it was a wonderful experience and I recommend it to anyone looking for large size clothes thank you

Re: Remote style session (I live on the west coast) and in-store style session. I highly recommend the style sessions. They’ve been a game changer for me. Having Cat’s expertise to show me new ways to pair clothes I already had and offer insight into what might be great to add to my closet was awesome. I zeroed in on a style direction and it became so easy to elevate my style and give it the finishing touches it was missing. The in-person in-store session was a BLAST. So many amazing pieces. Most fit (since when does that happen when shopping?! lol) and most went home with me. Cat thank you so much for being a part of my journey with my fancy new career level and with helping me love the clothes I wear which help me feel confident and amazing! ❤️

I’ve shopped here a couple times and even sold a few items even living 4 hours away! It’s worth it to stop in and see the lovely humans running the shop and what goodies they have for sale. It’s nice knowing the whole store is plus size and LGBTQ+ friendly. There’s a fitting room and lots of accessories in addition to the clothing. Stop in and see for yourself!

I went to cake for the first time today I was a seller and buyer there today. Selling my old clothes was so easy and I was happy with what they paid them for. Then I bought three new pieces of clothes for my collection I love the environment and loved the staff! I will be returning soon because I forgot a bag to sell. But very happy to do so!! Ordered a green dress in 24 from them. It was shipped quickly and was in perfect condition. Bless them they must actually measure and put wearable size because the dress tag says 28 and there is no way in heck this is a 28, fits perfectly as a 24. Will definitely be keeping an eye on their stock for future finds.

Great inclusive shop to buy from and sell to. Worth the trip and the staff is so welcoming. Plus they have fans in their dressing rooms. Finally! Someone who gets it. Update - still love this place, but a word of the wise - CALL before you go shopping or selling. Understandably it is a small business, but "standard" hours change, and "buying" sometimes means store credit only - and when you don't live close (especially with gas prices), you can be disappointed when you get there and they are closed or only can buy from you for store credit (and you don't want that). I wasn't even aware that they "run out of cash" for buying - so after an hour's drive, I found it was a waste of my time because store credit isn't what I wanted. Super frustrating - especially when they told me I should have "got there earlier"... great for those who don't work during the day, but I do. Again - still love everything this place stands for and does - but super frustrating as a consumer if I feel like I have to call because I can't trust the website hours.

Cake is a really special store. If you are able to do a style session with Cat, I would highly recommend it! Being able to have her pick out pieces for you and help you put together outfits that you feel comfortable and confident in is SO helpful. I learned a ton about sizing and different brands and about what brands work better for my body. Awesome place and people!

I found a TON of cute, quality, reasonably priced garments at Cake today! It is clean, welcoming and well-organized inside. They were watching how many folks went in at once for COVID safety, but even while waiting outside to get in, I felt like I was hanging with friends. Where do I even begin? Cake is a godsend! I don't know of any other stores that offer cute and current plus size apparel at such great prices. Cake has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and details that make the shopping experience better (like fans in the fitting rooms and the ability to buy items on insta)! They're a great way to shop sustainably by buying used and their prices are very affordable. I am so grateful to Cat for recognizing the gap in plus-size shopping and filling it with such a bright and welcoming store!

Cat and her staff are all so friendly and welcoming, helpful, and they are all just so dang fashionable— and offer great selections when shopping around. I love Cake! Cat, the owner, gives fair prices for items brought in and is particular about the items she buys, so the store is only filled with great stuff. She has body positive art all over and it is a really accepting and welcoming place. The dressing rooms are large and have fans!!! Great place to hang out with/meet other plus size folks. I didn't notice a whole lot of masculine styles yet, but I know that is on Cat's radar and hopefully coming soon. I just got a really nice dress and pair of practically new black dress pants for $30!

I take myself to Cake as a treat when I can. Not only is there a great, ever-changing selection of cute plus size clothes, the body positive environment makes for a really pleasant shopping experience. Cat and her staff are also great. If Cat’s there she often flags pieces that she thinks I would like, having learned my style over the last year I’ve been shopping there. I love that she greats me by name. So welcoming! I also love keeping my wardrobe fresh, so bringing in clothes to sell and getting credit allows me to go in about once a month and walk out with new pieces. I feel like I can take some fashion risks with what I buy at Cake too, because if it doesn’t work it’s 1) affordable in the first place and 2) I could possibly sell it back in the future. I don’t love shopping as recreation, but I love Cake and a monthly or more trip to the store has become a welcome part of my life!

Just got my mystery box this weekend and loved every handpicked piece. The personal note from Cat made it extra special. Being tall and curvy makes shopping awkward but with Cake they make you feel beautiful in your own body shape. Keep it up ladies!

Great shop to sell your used plus sized clothing that you no longer wear! Staff is very friendly and process orders quickly. The only downside is that this is a very small shop set up like a boutique. Prices are reasonable. But i would like it if they had a larger selection of items. So ladies! Stop by and sell your used plus sized clothing. Let's fill up this store. They also buy shoes and some accessories.

A great store with a good idea. The masculine section is lacking but still there. They do buy clothes that keep with the style of the store and have some really reasonable rules for clothes they will buy. They’ll give you 30% cash value and 50% store credit for clothes you are looking to sell. A good store with body positive messages.

Everytime I've visited Cake, I've found a new regular piece for my wardrobe. I've never been able to say that about another resale store. It's not just because there are plus sizes. It's because there is as much diversity in style as possible within my size range. The store itself is vibrant and open - both spatially and due to the owner Cat and helpful support from Sydney and Maddie. Love this place and love them!

It's so nice to be able to walk into a store that specifically stocks more than two pieces affordable clothes in my size, style, and price range. Excellent! This store serves a missing gap in the market - strictly sizes XL+. No more sifting through the Goodwill and finding ugly, huge clothes. Cat personally picks each piece based on what her shoppers will want and need. She was helpful in finding clothes and I can't wait to go back!

This store is wonderful. Very welcoming atmosphere. Store and clothes are clean and smell fresh. Very decent prices ($5-$20). They have everything; shoes, boots, bras, dresses, work out clothes, jeans, t-shirts, work clothes, accessories, and even art made by local artists. Dressing rooms are big and have fans. Everyone is very body positive and when trying things on you hear a lot of "that looks great on you" and "I love this." Sizes range from xl-5xl. I basically bought a whole new wardrobe from this place. Lots of Torrid, forever 21+, Ava &Viv, and other great plus size brands. The owner Cat is always buying so there is always new inventory.

Cake has an abundance of plus size options all the way up to a 5x and Cat is very knowledgeable about pulling together outfits that I loved, but would never have chosen for myself. Definitely check it out for reasonably priced and cute clothing!
