I set up an appointment today and was very pleased with my dress and the shoes. Right when we got there, Lizzy Way welcomed us and gave us a run down and some suggestions. Since all of the other stylists were really busy, lizzy helped us through finding a dress that was a match for me- and we were very grateful to have her be the one to work with us. She was a really great fit for our group and made me feel so so pretty in my dress, she was the perfect amount of help. I’ll definitely come again for future events, and hope to be helped by lizzy :)

The experience here was good! As the soon to be bride, I had already gotten my wedding dress elsewhere. However, my Matron of Honor needed her dress. We came to this David’s Bridal hoping to find the perfect dress for her. Though the workers at this store were a bit quiet, we did end up finding the right one for her. May 22, 2021

I decided to go in on a whim for my second appointment. None of my girls were able to go with me on such short notice so it was just me and my 7 year old son. Ronni was my stylist and I told her the style I wanted and she got the dresses for me. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. When I had questions about alterations on the dress I think might be the one, she went and got the alterations manager Cate. The two of them together were amazing. They picked out my accessories and got me all together and I looked amazing. When Cate asked me if I wanted a veil instead of just a headpiece, I explained to her that I didn't think it would work with my beach wedding. I was concerned that the wind would make it impossible to wear one. She said can I try something? She actually styled my hair with the headband piece in and then put the veil on and it all clicked. She explained how I could wear it just like that for the wedding and then showed me how easy it would be to take it out and just leave the headband in for the rest of the day. Ronni and Cate went above and beyond and acted as my posse since they couldn't be there. I will be returning again and again just because of them.

Natalie was an amazing attendant. I gave her colors to choose from and what I was interested in for mother of the bride dresses. Out of nowhere she picked the only dress of that kind in the store and it fit me perfectly and matched all of the colors of the wedding party. She was patient and thoughtful. She was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at David’s Bridal. This was my third time for daughters having a wedding and the best experience there. Thank you Natalie!

This was my first experience trying on wedding dresses. They had many choices that were my style which was great. My stylist experience was average (I guess), but I was mostly disappointed that my time slot was double booked and I was unable to have 100% dedication from my stylist. I also had to have my mom help me get into every dress, which was not clear at all. This was really unfortunate because when I found the dress I loved I was not able to walk out in front of my mom to show her because she literally helped me put it on. So nothing was a surprise. The stylist was pretty particular about staying on track with picks, but then brought in a dress that no picked. There were tons of people at the store and there were only so many chairs. I brought 3 total family members and there wasn’t enough room for all of them to sit down. Then, when you wanted to look in the mirror there was only 1 big mirror to stand in front of so if someone else was there you had to wait for them to finish. Once I found my dress, the lady from alterations came out and she was more helpful to me than my stylist. She did my hair, helped with hair pieces, etc. Overall, I was able to find my dress and other accessories, but I wish that I would have had more time devoted to making my feel special instead of rushed. I also wish that my mom could have had a true experience instead of helping me get dressed every time. Not exactly the first and only experience I thought I would have.

Came in to look at bridesmaid dresses to wear to an event, was excited to see the new velvet dresses came in! I was also happy with the perfect mix of attentiveness and space granted by staff! I was able to be more self guided and pick things out to try on, but when I asked for input/help they were ready! Sara was a hoot, and really helped me make up my mind and order my dress in time for my event!!

I worked with Meriden and Sara. I had the. Best. Dress. Shopping. Experience. Ever. Because of these two! I arrived after lunch so there happened to be only one other customer in the store and we made fast friends while I chose 4 great dresses! I will narrow it down to two for our upcoming events but I will definitely be back because of the selection but more importantly the staff! I felt they were honest about how the dresses looked on me (some we liked, other definite "nos"!!) Seriously, every staff member there today deserves a raise.

I ended up needing a different dress 22 days before my wedding which was rather stressful but Kate was right there with me helping to sort it out, offering outside of the box options and prioritized my alterations to ensure I had nothing more to worry about! Amazing experience!! Ask for Ruby!!! Bought a bridesmaid dress while in Vegas, it shipped to their store, then to me in Iowa and kept getting different stories on how to return it or exchange it due to the wedding being called off. The Vegas store was a bit of a nightmare to deal with but once the dress finally got to me, I brought it to the Clive store and Ruby made it all better!!! Dress returned and I will absolutely be doing business here again!!

I bought the dress of my dreams at David's Bridal. I have a family member who could've done the alterations for free, but I was extremely impressed with the alterations manager, so I decided to have them do it. The first time I went to pick up my dress from alterations, I left crying without my dress. The second time I went to pick it up, Cate was there. I could tell before I put the dress on that they did not fix the things that needed to be fixed or the 2 things that they had forgotten. So I put on my dress and stood in front of the mirror and just started bawling. Cate was AMAZING. She got me calmed down and told me to tell her everything that was going on. She was not the one who made the mistakes, but oh my goodness did she fix them. I'm moving soon, which was part of the reason I got so upset. Yesterday was the last day I would be able to pick up my dress. Cate listened to me and promised to personally fix it herself so it would be exactly right. She asked me if I could wait while she did it but I told her I would come back 5 hours later when I had to pick up my daughter. She promised to call me as soon as it was done. Y'all, Cate SAVED THE DAY. She spent FOUR HOURS fixing everything and adding the stuff that was forgotten. One of the items that was forgotten should've been too late to add, but Cate made it happen. It turned out even better than I had imagined in my head. I cannot wait to send her pictures of the big day so she can see what she made happen. I will be recommending Cate to every bride I come in contact with from here on out. I cannot possibly thank her enough. What started as the worst day with a broken heart thinking my dress was done for, ended as the best day ever thanks to Cate! Cate, thank you sooooooo much. I will never be able to put into words just how much what you did meant to me. THANK YOU! - One Happy Bride-to-be ❤️

The alterations department was great with my dress and finding the one was awesome! However, the one I did say yes to, they then ordered the wrong one and charged me for the wrong one. We went back to return the one they ordered so we could get the correct one ordered and get a refund. We did get a refund but overall, as a bride, I want the correct one ordered the first time and to not be surprised with a completely different one when receiving it. Not receiving the correct one then having to wait another 2 months to get the correct one can be very stressful. However, the alterations department did an amazing job, had my dress back 3 weeks after my appointment and Sladjana did such an amazing job with my measuring for my alterations! She was so kind and nice to work with!

I came in for alterations today! Saldana was wonderful. I will be 27 weeks pregnant on my wedding day so sizing has been difficult with the unknown, of course. We initially bought a size 18 as a recommendation from stylists as it is easier to take in than let out. I actually have lost weight since being pregnant and am not showing much at all yet at 21 weeks. Saldana tried very hard to make the 18 as flattering as possible. We both agreed that switching to a smaller size would look best. Luckily the dress I had chose is a better one for pregnancy so I was able to do so. We tried a 14 on and it fit almost perfectly. She was patient and kind through my whole experience as it was nerve wrecking not feeling comfortable and confident in my dress. Sladana made the 18 look great but made the 14 absolutely PERFECT!!! Thank you so much!! ❤️

Lauren was SO helpful and not pushy. My daughter couldn't make a decision. Even though that was the situation Lauren didn't seem put out or frustrated. She explained that an account (not sure what term to use) had been made and if my daughter decides to go with one of the dresses just call the store and she can get it ordered over the phone. Thank you Lauren for making this a fun time for those of us who came with the bride to be! Also David's doesn't require a deposit be put down in order to have an appointment - which at other stores if you don't purchase a dress from them - you lose the deposit. Still giving it a 5 star, but the manager was a bit rude. I said her name wrong, could tell that frustrated her - saw it in her facial reaction - I asked her how to say it correctly and she just ignored my question - wanted to know what I needed. Told her how wonderful Lauren was and she pointed to the little square that I could scan and leave a review. Felt like I was inconveniencing her!

I wasn't sure about the dress I selected but I just picked it up from being altered and Sladana did an amazing job! I wanted to thank Cate in the Des Moines store. We had a very bad experience in Davids Bridal in Lincoln, NE. We purchased a dress. It needed alterations that we were told could be done at the time of purchase. It was takin back in to the store closer to our wedding date for the alterations. When we went back we tried the dress on, it was to long, still to heavy and just not right. We were told they could not do anymore for us. This dress was at least 6 to 8 inches to long. She could not even walk in it, not to mention other things not done correctly. Our bride was in tears. She paid the $500.00 plus dollars and went home. Since our bride and the wedding was in Iowa, we reached out to the Des Moines Store. Cate got us in the same day as our call. She was courteous, helpful and very kind. She put the smile back on our brides face. I would not recommend the Lincoln Store to anyone. That seamstress needs to find new employment and a better customer service personality. Thank you Cate for all your hard work and making this right. You Rocked it Cate!!!

I had my dress shortened and cups added through their alterations department which, Kelley, who did phenomenal. The price was a little steeper than I was expecting for a 2-layered skirt. The alterations cost almost as much as the dress itself so that’s why I gave 4 stars. The staff is amazing though, 5 stars to them!

Stopped in to shop for a gala I’m attending in a couple weeks and it was great! I was warmly greeted at the front desk and told that I could look around and grab dresses on my own which is what I wanted anyway (I didn’t have an appointment). They had a nice selection I only wish they had more plus size but I know that’s not the employees fault. A sales person checked in on me several times to see how we were doing and helped me find a dress and shoes! They even gave me $20 off and all I had to do was sign up for a loyalty program- so easy! Highly recommend! Make sure to go on a week day if you’d like more help because I’ve been there on a Saturday and it’s much busier.

My body changed quite a bit after I bought my dress.. at my “last fitting” the dress was so so tight I couldn’t even breathe. She told me she could take it out two inches and she got it done in 2 days when she is super packed!!! I was so lucky to have her!! Can’t wait to return back to her for all my needs!

I want to give them a 1 star, but only due to the recency effect of my bad experience, so pulling from my other experiences I will stick to a 3. Went in for bridesmaid dress fitting in August for a wedding middle of January. Set up an alteration appointment for December 12th and ended up cancelling after I was the only one in the bridal party group who's dress had not come in by the alteration appointment. No call or message from David's letting me know my dress was running behind, nothing until my sister in law asked for me at her alteration appointment. Dress finally came in December 27th.. 2 weeks before the wedding. They ended up having to call my sister because they had my number wrong, picked up the dress and they had my name wrong too! I called and asked them what they expected me to do for alterations, they said "well you can pay an extra $60 on top of your alteration costs to get it expedited". So they expected me to pay extra for alterations through them when it was their fault it was crunch time to get it altered in the first place... They may be cheaper but honestly I would prefer to go somewhere else that cares more about their customers than here ever again.

I had such a great experience! I will be honest going in I was not sure I was going to like it. It was my fist store in the search for my dress. My stylist was Haileyand from the start she was great! I told her what I thought I was looking for and she took me right over to some choices. We looked through to see what caught my eye after that. Sosie helped me find the PERFECT wedding dress. It was the second dress I tried on, and she was able to identify how good I felt in it right away by reading my facial expressions and body language. I really did fall in love with the dress upon my first look, but I was uncertain because it didn't match what style I initially thought I wanted. Sosie helped me try on a few other lovely styles, but also encouraged me not to forget how I felt in that second dress. At the end of the appointment I had saved three favorites to look at for a follow-up, but I couldn't get that second dress off my mind -- so I went back that same evening to take one more look at the dress, and another consultant, Kelly, helped pick out a veil and headpiece to give me a complete vision of the look. I was blown away at how Kelly took the time to help me feel so beautiful even though I didn't have an appointment on the books for that evening. It was a really, really special moment for me and my mother that Kelly helped make happen. With such kind consultants, and many lovely dresses at reasonable prices, I encourage brides to give the Clive David's bridal a look!

I scheduled my appointment online. I called the store about a week before the appointment to find out the size ranges, and the woman I spoke to was fairly rude when I asked about their plus size gown availability. The conversation didn't leave me impressed. The day of the appointment, we walked in and the staff was standing around the check in area. Several cans of monster, red bull and dunkin donuts cups were all over the standing. It didn't look professional at all. We start looking at dresses and they are not organized by size at all so it was fairly overwhelming to find anything. Once we did get a few dresses pulled I quickly found our attendant was so helpful! She was the highlight of our trip. We did purchase my bridesmaid dress, a mother of the bride dress, and 2 pairs of shoes.

The ONLY reason I gave David’s Bridal Alterations four stars is because of Cate. Otherwise, they would have gotten two stars. When I came in for my first alteration appointment (i was their first appointment of the day) the older lady I had was extremely rude, hard to understand, made me feel fat and when she said certain alterations needed done, she would add them to the list THEN tell me the price. I had to tell her I didn’t want a $200 hemming fix. I left David’s Bridal that day and was in tears in my car. I dreaded going back to get my dress.... Fast forward to the pick up day: Cate greeted me with a smile and got my name right. She was very pleasant and helpful, AND this was at 8pm at night and I was her last appointment of the day. She recommended putting my shoes on first then the dress and she was right! So much easier! I don’t know who all handled the alterations actually done to my dress but they did awesome as well. My dress fits PERFECTLY. I love it. Thank you, Cate, for making my dress pick up so good and redeeming David’s Bridal alterations for my first experience.

David’s Bridal was extremely helpful for me and my party. I have some older girls acting as my flower girls so we needed to get them dresses. Both girls had various special needs and had never gone dress shopping like this. The person working with us (sorry I don’t remember her name! Skyler maybe?) was very patient with the girls and made sure they weren’t overwhelmed with options but could still feel comfortable in whatever dress they wore. I am the mother of the bride. I had been looking for dresses for about a month and decided to give Dave’s Bridal a try. They had a wide selection of dresses and the lady helping me was awesome ( I wish I could remember her name to give her the credit). I tried on 13 dresses, yes the selection was huge and so many great styles, it was hard to narrow down, so I ended up buying two!!! They are so reasonable and I couldn’t decide. Today, February 12, I went in for the alterations and I just loved the the lady(who’s name I never got) was fun and seemed to do a great job pinning the dress and making suggestions of what I should do!! So far I would give them a 5!

My bridesmaid had a great experience here. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend making an appointment for a weeknight and not a weekend as they are crazy busy on weekends. I would also like to thank the store manager that let my bridesmaid exchange their dresses for larger sizes. From my understanding they cannot due this with every style but we chose a very popular style dress. One of my bridesmaids was pregnant and was able to exchange her dress twice for a bigger size. I brought another girl here for a dress today and had a totally different, somewhat disappointing experience. No interest from the staff at all. My consultant Tishara was absolutely AMAZING! She was exactly what I was hoping for in a bridal consultant and more! She made me feel so comfortable, answered all questions and concerns, offered just the right amount of input but didn't hover and was overall just so nice! I would give 5 stars for Tishara alone because that girl is fantastic (and helped me find my perfect dress) The guest restrictions however brought the experience down to a 3 for me. I understand and 100% respect Covid restrictions and was glad they had some in place honestly! But they were NOT consistent between appointments. I had emailed customer service the week before and was told I could have 4 guests with me AT THIS STORE and that they would be working with the store to make sure everyone was on the same page. When I got there, the girl in front of me was told the appointment could be the bride and 4 guests. However, when I got up to the desk I was told I could only have 3 people with me after just hearing that the girl in front of me could have 4. We complied (I'm very anti-confrontational and did not want to cause a problem) and one of my girls went out to the car to "switch out". I pulled up the email conversation I had with customer service (Steven E. was the guy I had gotten the email from) to show to my consultant when she came over to help. She immediately was understanding and said if her other appointment didn't show up that we could definitely have my full group in the store (another reason Tishara was AMAZING). The other appointment didn't show up so we ended up being able to have everyone inside but it was just so confusing and inconsistent. They need to have a consistent policy company-wide or at least be consistent within the store because it made the beginning of my appointment (before Tishara) much more stressful than it needed to be. Amanda was the one who ended up checking us out for my dress purchase later in the day and I just wanted to give her a shout out too because she was also kind and explained everything to me and made sure I was getting the right products! So overall I had a good experience and ended up finding my dress. But they need to figure out their restrictions to prevent others from being as confused as I was.
