I found Alterations & Custom Made by Tran on Google and decided to try them out based on the Google reviews. My now husband and I are so happy we did. They performed the alterations on my husbands suit pants for our wedding and my rehearsal dinner dress. They did an absolutely incredible job. The dress had to have the straps shortened and the build in bra adjusted. I was insanely impressed with their work and the dress fit perfect. Thank you so much for the fantastic job you did. We will be using you again for any future alteration needs.

Took my wedding gown here when there was only 2 and a half weeks until my wedding. They got it done in about 11 days, and it fits me so wonderfully! The price was great as well!! Will absolutely be coming here for any more alterations for the future!

Had a carhartt medium duty coat that needed a heavy duty zipper put back in it after the original wouldn't work. Thought about throwing it away but it has been a very functional coat until the zipper broke. Trans fixed it as good or better than brand new. Thanks to them I can wear my favorite work coat again!

Brought my daughters flower girl dress here. I had originally went to a different place and they wouldn’t do it because it was so big and they didn’t feel comfortable doing it, so I found Tran’s place. They did such a great job!! They had to take pearls off the neckline so they could shorten the straps, take out the zipper so they could take it in and put a new zipper in, shorten the length. It fits my daughter really well and looks so pretty. They got it done in 11 days!

I'd never used a tailor before, but my mom had recommended Alterations and Custom Made by Tran. I was so impressed by how efficient they were and how quickly both the fittings and pick up went. It fits so well now and I will definitely take any future clothes for tailoring to Tran! 10/10 would recommend!

10/10! Had a bridesmaid's dress bodice taken in, straps shorted, and hemmed. They listen to how you want it, and the final product fits like a dream!! High quality work; looks like it came from the factory. I'm particular and I loved how my dress turned out. Quick fittings and got my dress back in 2 weeks. Tran helped me in an emergency situation. My daughter's show choir shirt did not fit at all and she needed it for a competition the following day. Tran agreed to help me and had the alterations done within a few hours. Beautiful work and so so helpful! I highly recommend!!!!!

I've gone here twice now for Bridesmaid dresses and they come out perfectly each time!! Everything from straps being tightened, the waist / chest being tightened, and the dress being hemmed. My boyfriend goes only here for his alterations and I'll continue to do the same. Also a turnaround in 2 weeks practically everytime!

They did an EXCELLENT job of replacing the zipper on my son’s leather coat. They are very affordable and do excellent work. Pleasurable people to talk too and very kind. I HIGHLY recommend this place for any coats, pants, construction bibs, alterations, etc., that you need altered/fixed/sewn. I found them on the Internet and I plan on doing a lot more business with these people. Great job!!

A week before my 70th Birthday Party, on a Saturday, yes they are open on Saturday, I took the pantsuit I was to wear, that needed about 6 inches cut off and hemmed. They told me they could do it in 2 weeks, my happy bubble popped. I ask if there was any way I could get it my next week and explain why and I would pay extra , and my daughter went on to tell them she was a ‘92 Roosevelt grad, Mr Tran said they had been in that spot for some 29 years and seen a lot of changes, so then he consulted with Mrs Tran, and she said YES, she would do it , bubble back intact. If you need alterations, they are very friendly, the hem spot on, but don’t do like me, give them a couple weeks window.if fit perfectly !!!! Thank you Mr & Mrs Tran

Great Service! I needed a zipper and liner fixed on a pair of bibs, I brought them in on a Monday and they were finished on Friday when I needed them. They were able to accommodate my needs and make it happen quickly. In relation to COVID, they wear masks, offer handsanitizer, and disinfected my debt card. Certainly will go back with other needs as they come.

I tried a few places, ended up back here. I'm very particular on how clothes fit. Jeans aren't always easy to look original. Very happy with results. Then I had them hem some slacks and a winter dress jacket. I have very pleased with the results. I drive from Ankeny, worth the drive.

Brought in my coat hoping Tran can fix my side zipper and she did just that! She removed the jumbo zipper completely and replaced it, the coat looks brand new! Her shop is clean and filled with beautiful custom made masks. Please support this small business for all of your altercations and customs. Will be stopping in soon for some masks!

I changed my mind on the dress I wanted to wear to the adult prom last minute (the day of the event). I was in a pinch with the dress as it needed hemmed. Tran agreed to have it hemmed in 4 hours so I could wear it that night. They were very helpful and very nice. My dress was perfect. I will definitely go back there even though I live in Newton.

I was leaving class when I realized I'd torn my coat. It was the dead of winter so I wanted to get it taken care of ASAP. I called before I went and, because they were so busy, I was told they wouldn't be able to fix it the same day. I still brought it in, but after they saw the tear they fixed it right on the spot and sent me on my way. The price was very reasonable, the owners were extremely nice, and I'll definitely be going back.
