I needed a new suit on short notice and Abdul assured me he could tailor the suit in less than a week. He was very friendly and helpful with picking out the suit and there was a good selection. I picked up the suit today right on time and it was fitted perfectly with the slim modern style I was looking for. I’m very happy with the suit so far and it appears to be good quality - 100% wool Made in Italy, and for a reasonable price. The other selection of sport coats were also beautiful so I’ll definitely be back again!

Sam was awesome to work with. I decided to get a new suit for wedding season and it was tailored to perfection. I also purchased a pair of shoes, and he did an amazing job helping pick out a pair to match with the suit, and then stretching them for a better fit. I also brought in an off-the-rack suit from Macy's to be altered same-day. I dropped it off on a Wednesday at 11:00AM, picked it up at 4:00PM, and wore it on Saturday feeling like it was brand new. Great quality, great service and I will definitely be back in the future!

My overall experience was okay, maybe good at best. The day I went for my appointment and made the purchase, Abdul put pins in my pants and jacket to note the alterations I would need. I was told 6 weeks later my suit would be ready. Great. 6 weeks later I show up to pick up my suit. Pants are slightly tight but still wearable. Jacket sleeves were still too short. Matter of fact, they didn't alter the jacket at all. Smh. Tell me: what was the point of the first appointment and waiting 6 weeks if only 1/2 alterations were going to be made? It's funny, because I noticed in the first appointment Abdul did not take down any written notes. I literally told my wife I wondered how he would remember what all needed to be done. Well, long behold everything did not get done and I would have to come back a third time. In that second trip, Sam was there, and we found a larger jacket that could be altered to my fit. It wasn't the same jacket as what I paid for and what was in the first appointment, but whatever, it'll do. THIRD and final trip, I pick up my suit. The jacket alteration was good, not great, but good. I heard positive things about Sofyano, so I decided to give them a shot. My main thing is I didn't appreciate paying for a suit and making arrangements to get it altered, only to find after 6 weeks that the work wasn't done because they didn't do their diligence on the front end. It's not like they didn't lengthen it enough - they didn't lengthen it at ALL. Waste of everyone's time. These are the little things that people remember.

Sam was phenomenal to work with. Aside from being just an interesting guy to talk to (he’s an engineer who later decided to create suits), he really knows his stuff when it comes to clothes. I’m very picky when it comes to clothes, and Sam patiently answered all of my questions. When I made poor requests, Sam kindly explained what the better option would be. I’m very glad I listened to him. Based on our conversations, I’m pretty sure he personally makes most of the things he sells in his store. The suit and dress shirt I bought are amazing. Excellent suit shop! It was my first time buying a suit or dress clothes so I knew next to nothing. Both Sam and David are both extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They don’t try to sell you on anything and it is a very relaxed and welcoming environment. Their focus is on making sure that you walk out of the store feeling great with some sharp new clothes! I could not be more happy with my experience purchasing a suit from Sofyano. Up until this point I had never owned a suit and had to get one for my brothers upcoming wedding. I was looking around at all of the options in Columbus and I stumbled upon Sofyano. I called in the next day and scheduled an appointment. Sam did an amazing job of helping me find the perfect suit, and as you can see the fit was pristine! I even ended up getting every other part of my outfit there as well. There is NOBODY else in Columbus who even sells Italian suits and hands down you are not going to find a suit that fits like this anywhere but Sofyano. Sam and David were amazing in helping me pick out a suit for my wedding day. I am not a suit guy at all, but they were extremely patient in explaining everything to me and helping me try all kinds of different jackets and ties to find the right fit. The suit, shirt, and tie fit perfectly and I am already getting compliments on them. I couldn't imagine a better suit shop anywhere. If you are looking to get a suit this is definitely the place to go. If I could give six stars, I definitely would.

It doesn't get better than Sam and suit shops don't get better than Sofyanos! Relaxed atmosphere, patient and super knowledgeable owner, and (most important) great looking suits. Sam had me looking my best (which trust is hard to do!) on my most important day to date, my wedding. I'm not super comfortable in a suit most of the time, but I've never felt more confident than in the jacket he picked out. A couple years later my friends and me surprised our long-term German visitor with a new suit as a gift for his return to life and work in Germany. Sam hooked it up; Johannes looked awesome. When we heard from him, "Kyle I wore my new suit and I got hired at my first interview!" It doesn't get better than Sam!

Sam did an incredible job setting me up with a suit for my wedding. I typically have a very hard time finding jackets that fit me properly but the first one that Sam picked out fit perfectly. AMAZING gem. Sam outfitted my husband for our wedding in Italy. We were so thankful to happen upon this gem. I needed a suit for a summer wedding, going as a guest, and wanted to look nice. After reading some reviews on yelp, I picked Soyfano. I did have a couple concerns, one was that I am a larger guy and worried they wouldn't have something for me, however they surprisingly had a number of options. David, who primarily fitted me, was very helpful and worked me through some of my fit issues. I did spend more than I had anticipated, but left very happy about what I got as I added additional items I really needed. I will be going back in a few months for a blazer. Lastly, their tailor is spectacular!

Not only are they reasonably priced, not only do they have something that will make anyone, male or female, stand out, but the owner stays late to personally tailor your clothes or repair them as necessary. While searching for professional attire, I was desperately looking for someone knowledgeable and thorough. I research any large purchase until I know more than I want to. I was ready to buy my first suit, and didn’t know the first thing about dressing professionally. I called the usual places, many of the “buy one get one” business models. All of their products were disappointing quality for the price, the fit left a lot to be desired, and the customer interaction was used car salesman at best. I called Sam, and he took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and carefully. He didn’t treat me like another number in the queue, I was a respected customer before I even walked through the door. Writing this review nearly 15 months after buying my first suit, I can safely say I will come back to Sofyano with all of my professional attire needs. I had a great experience getting a suit at Sofyano for an interview. Some stores are fine selling you an off-the-rack suit that maybe partially fits just to get your purchase. Sofyano's doesn't do that. After they find your style they insist on completely tailoring to your body. Their philosophy is that each suit they send out the door is a reflection of their brand's standards, which are exceptional in my experience. The material was high quality, the staff was clearly skilled, and I am a satisfied customer. Keep in mind that alterations can take a week or two depending on their queue. It is worth the wait.

Great experience and fast turnaround for a custom suit at a great price. With my wedding coming up in 3 weeks, I thought I could just walk into one of the big box suit stores and walk out with a tailored tan suit within a few days. I quickly found myself in a terrible position as (apparently) the big box stores do not carry tan/beige suits for purchase. Jos. A Banks didn't even attempt to help me find an option for a tan suit, and Men's warehouse seemed to be dumbfounded when we wanted to try on the Tan suit they had available for rental, stating, "You can't try the tan suit, you have to try on the black suit and we'll fit you from that". I called a handful of other shops around Columbus, all stating that 3 weeks would be to quick of a turnaround time for them to provide a suit. Enter Sam at Sofyano! He was completely willing to get me a suit by my wedding and provided me with a level of trust that I haven't experienced in any other retail store providing custom work. Not only has he provided me with a custom suit before the wedding, but he got it done with a week to spare! I just went in to pick up the suit this past Saturday and he has me looking like a million bucks with a beautiful suit that is going to last! My fiance is loving the way it fits. The big box suit shops have always just thrown a tent around my legs making me look larger than what I really am and leaving me looking like a bag of sand. Sam was able to make a pair of pants that look phenomenal. I couldn't be happier with my experience and I'm looking forward to going back to get a Navy suit and also a pair of jeans from his 89 and Pine line!

Sofyano was everything I was looking for in buying a quality suit in Columbus. I had always wanted to have a "suit guy", a good tailor that I could get to know and trust in their advice without wondering if they were trying squeeze extra money out of me. Sam (the owner) is that guy. Over the last week I've made trips to Macy's, Nordstrom's, Men's Wearhouse, Jos. A Banks, and a new startup called Pursuit, and never really felt good enough about any of the selections to pull the trigger. My price range was $200-$350 for one suit. At these other stores, I tried on dozens of lackluster suits under $300, and some others more expensive that just didn't seem worth the extra money. At SOFYANO, however, the second I put on a $300 Italian suit I could tell the difference between it and all the others. I ended up going for a $350 suit because it just felt - that - good. I'm a 6' 2" 175 lb male, athletic build, and I went for a long, slim, trim dark navy Italian suit that was exactly what I was looking for. I also needed a new pair of brown shoes and Sami picked out some very sharp Italian shoes for $120 that went perfectly with the suit, and will go well with the suit I already have. I ended up spending a little more than I had anticipated when I started shopping but I think it's worth every extra penny, and not something that I feel I'll need to upgrade in 3-4 years when I make more money. Sam is not a businessman. It's not his goal to run a highly profitable business or woo you with huge savings and blockbuster deals. I could tell he just wants make a solid living and do something he's very passionate about. In shopping at the previous places I got annoyed with the constant "60% off a $700 suit" or the famous "buy one (at $650) get one free" deals. I just wanted to know what the damn things should cost in the first place and chose a price range based on how the suit felt and fit. Sofyano just prices everything reasonably at what it takes to stay in business and might cut you a small deal out of his margin if you get several things on a visit. He will tailor your suit for free with your purchase and he even cut a leather belt down a few inches for me before I walked out the door (I didn't even know you could do that). If I made more money or was going to be in Columbus for several more years, I would be going back the Sofyano for a very long time. I might actually start saving more just for the purpose of getting another suit or two there before I graduate. Also, I swear this is not a "planted" review. I literally just had such a good experience today and saw there were no reviews yet that I thought he deserved all of this information on here. UPDATE: 3 yrs later I now have two suits, three belts and a tie from Sofyano, and wear them for every wedding and professional function. I've gotten tons of compliments and plan to wear these for many years to come.

It's official: I now have a "suit guy". Sam came highly recommended by a dear friend after he got sat up with a dapper suit upgrade. But as many know, the customer experience is often worth just as much as the product itself in my book. I sent a message through Facebook about making an appointment and heard back almost immediately, penciling me in for just two days later. I arrived on an early afternoon, welcomed upon arrival by name even though we hadn't formally met. Within a minute, I was walked to the back mirror with a handful of options. I asked if he needed my sizes or wanted to measure me (I admit, I'm an awkward shape). He shook his head in disapproval, claiming, "These are Italian sizes - you're current size won't matter. I think I know your size." At first glance, I was skeptical. But as I put on the first jacket, much to my amazement he nailed my size exactly. We chatted about life, business, and politics, all while he was sizing me up and figuring out in his head how he was going to alter the suit to my body. When I found the perfect color and style, he showed me what he could do with a few pins on one side to note the differences it made (and he was so right). I thought we'd spend another hour or so trying to pin up both sides but he led me back to the dressing room and said he was all set. Just three days later I came back in to try on the suit, in complete amazement by 1. his speed 2. his ability to get it all right with just a few pins as reference and 3. his continued conversation and personality. I wore the suit to a holiday party the next day and was swarmed with compliments...because isn't that the whole reason why we wear suits? With Sam, I was able to get both the service and the product quality that I desired, leaving the small, downtown Columbus shop feeling confident, comfortable, and classy. There's an old proverb that states "You've gotta spend money to make money." And while I'm no economist, I've learned that feeling like a million bucks doesn't mean you've got to spend it. A visit to Sofyano will do just fine.

Sam is awesome. I went in with a group to buy a suit for my wedding. I wasn't sure what he would make of selling a tailored suit to a woman, but he didn't blink an eye. After trying on several suits, I chose the one he had picked out first. Obviously, Sam has a terrific eye. Next, I went through several rounds of alterations until we got the fit just right. Sam was patient with me as I went back a couple of times to make adjustments. At the end of the day, the tailoring was what he had recommended at the beginning of the process. After trying on several types of suits include different cuts and colors we narrowed it down to a couple and I picked from there. His suits were affordable and any alterations were includes with the price of the suit. When I picked up my suit, he had me try it on to ensure fit and accuracy. Excellent suits for a great price. If I was basing it only off the suit I'd give this place a 5 star easily. I did have a few issues along the way though. I was never contacted when my suit was ready, in his defense he never said he would but it would be a nice touch. When I did go to pick up my suit the ties I had ordered were no longer available despite the fact that I had paid for them in advance and they were available at the time. Instead I had to use 3 different types of ties, in his defense again they were similar enough that none of the guests noticed but it was still an issue I shouldn't have to contend with. Overall a great place and despite the issues I would return for another suit because it was simply that well made and priced.

I can't decide if I want to give Sam and his crew at Sofyano 1 or 5 stars. The argument for 5 is they are absolutely exceptional. Sam has forgotten more about suits and style than most people will ever know. Great selection, wonderful quality and everything looks great. I have a bit of a mutant body where prior suits have not fit well. But Sam a)confirmed I have a mutant body but b)showed me a suit can still look good on me! So where does the argument for a 1 star come in? Well, I came in for literally 1 suit. But I ended up buying 6. So clearly, I'm very, very upset…. :) In all seriousness, I'm wildly impressed with Sam/Sofyano. Great suits, made me look like a million bucks (well, maybe $750k), all at a great value. I won't buy anywhere else going forward. Give them a shot - you'll never regret it.

I recently bought two beautiful custom-made suits from Sam’s shop. I’ve been struggling to find a decent suit for a good price that fits ME. I’m tall, slim, high-waisted and not very broad. He said a good suit maker / tailor can work with any body type, and he’s right. Sam took one look at me and suggested a fit and fabric that suits me perfectly. He even gave me a dress shirt to try on that fit perfectly, without even measuring me (I struggle with sleeve length being too long / too short in popular chain store sizes). Sam buys all of his fabrics from Italy and says he never makes the same batch of suits twice. He wants his clients to look slighly different than guys who shop at Macy’s! To top it off, Sam is personable and kind. He’s not pushy. He genuinely cares about making you look good. That’s all there is to it. Oh, plus his prices are AFFORDABLE. The most expensive suit I saw in Sam’s shop was around $500 (remember: custom made - compare that to a Ryan Seacrest suit at Macy’s — Ryan’s are more money without a sale and cheap! Oh and Sam worked with me on price. Remember, this was the most expensive one I saw). I believe in the power of a good review. I spent a long time in customer service and this guy gets it. He’s not sales-oriented, he’s service-oriented. That’s why his shop does great. That’s why you should get your next suit(s) here!

I purchased a suit from Sofyano awhile ago and I constantly get compliments from men and women on the style and on how well it fits. When evaluating a suit I think you have to wear it several times before you can really gauge the quality, this suit has stood the test of time and still looks as good as the day I bought it. I wear suits for work everyday and can honestly say that this is the best quality suit I own and it was also the cheapest. Recently I even took an suit jacket I bought somewhere else before I found Sam, to be tailored at Sofyano and once again he did not disappoint. I thought all that would be done was take in the torso, but he recommended taking in the arms as well and it looks so much better because of his recommendation. Needless to say I will buy all my suits in the future from "my suit guy", Sam.

I needed proper attire for a black-tie event that was less than 3 days away. Sofyano was close by and had some good reviews so I thought I'd try my luck to see if they could set me up in time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did they have several selections for me, but also that they never once questioned if they could get the tailoring done in time for the event. David was extremely helpful with coordinating an outfit that was stylish and that I could also wear to less formal events. I was one of the best dressed attendees at the event and my wife said that she prefers the way my new Sofyano suit fits over my other two Hugo Boss suits that I paid twice as much for. If only his taste in cars was as good as his taste in clothes. (That's an inside joke for David related to our small talk during my experience) Would recommend!

When I first walked into Sofyano to get a quick alteration on my suit for an upcoming performance at the Southern Theater next door, little did I know that a few years later I'd have been back many times, bought several suits, shoes, ties, belts, you name it. Sam (owner/proprietor) is a consummate gentleman, and goes the extra mile to make his customers look good and FEEL good about it. Most importantly, for me, is that he has become a lifelong friend. This is the BEST place to buy apparel in Central Ohio. Go visit Sam, and make a friend.

Overall my experience with Sofyano was great: I got the product I wanted and at a great price! However, a little constructive criticism never hurt so there is a couple of things that I felt could be improved. I'll start with the good: Sofyano was personable and had great energy. When he saw fit he gave his opinions and if I declined the suggestion he didn't seem to take it personally. We had casual conversations that ranged from fashion to sports and even different cultures. As I stated above I got the exact jacket that I wanted and he gave it to me at a great price which I completely appreciated! Now some bad: I felt that communication could be improved especially via text/email. For example, when I sent some photos of what i would like, just a simple "I got it" response would have sufficed. In addition, I got told multiple times that photos would be sent to me but I never received any. Another critique that I always joked with Sofyano about, even though I was being partially serious, was when I would come to into the shop. He always seemed to be more interested in my best man rather than me, who was the groom😂. Although Sofyano did produce a great product, a month before the wedding it seemed as if he would not be able to deliver the suit jacket because of the type of material requested was harder than expected to get(I had a custom made suit jacket). This point comes back to the communication critiques that I gave; had I gotten a heads up 3 months in advance then I would have had enough time to find a replacement if need be. Luckily I didn't need to find a replacement because everything worked out in the end! Some more good points: All of the things that I mentioned are easily rectifiable especially the points on communication! He did get me the jacket that I really wanted which I was super ecstatic about it considering it seemed like I almost wasn't going to get it. Overall Sofyano is a great guy and the suits here are dapper!

I started going to Sofyano about 2 months ago to take a look at some suits and get a few things tailored. I have been to other places in Columbus like Jos A Bank, Macy's and Pursuit in the Short North, but Sofyano has been hands down the best suit/tailoring store I have ever been to. The owner is terrific and he looks to build relationships with his customers. His knowledge is second to none and you will learn to trust him very quickly. My guess would be most of his business is through customer retention and referrals. The selection in the store is terrific as well. There are some pretty flashy suits, but very modest ones as well. He hand picks his inventory from Italy so you know that you are not getting some cheaply made suit from China. My favorite part about Sofyano is the experience...I have built a great relationship with the owner in just two months and he takes great care of me. He knows what is best for me and is not looking to break my wallet (I'm 23 y/o). I would highly recommend you make the trip downtown to see him and you will not regret it!
