One of the very best of stores with a kind , helpful staff. They have the best of outdoor clothing and supplies for your outdoor needs. A classy store with innovative and durable products. Give them a visit and you will be back. One of the best run stores you can find. Most courteous of all employees, outstanding outdoors people that are the kindest! One of my most favorite stores ever!

We ordered an umbrella for Christmas from them, and it had a small hole in it. I contacted their customer service, and was sent a new umbrella and free shipping label to send the other back with the day after!! We will definitely be shopping here again! Awesome company and customer service !

This place is very nice and has a lot of choices when it comes to jackets gloves beanies, snow gear, hiking boots . Overall they have a great selection. The prices were on the high end, but worth it.

Friendly and eager to help. It’s been a while since I’ve gone there. I’m glad I stopped in because they have the Free Fly brand which I have only seen online and now I need to bring my wife so she can buy some hoodies. Good selection, plus I found out they have an outlet in the back, too.

If u want really good high-end outdoor gear, this is the place for you. Its just like the old saying goes, " u get what u pay for." The store is full of quality, from the front to the shoes in the back. Can't go wrong at Half-Moon.

I was looking for some clothing for my Dad and need a choice that was not REI. Half-Moon was a great option. The staff assisted me in finding what I was looking for and was very friendly. All around my experience was overwhelmingly positive. They offer military discount and they are dog friendly! I was obvious that they strive to make a positive difference in their community from all of the local interaction I observed during my visit.

Super friendly staff. The one clerk patiently showed me four pairs of rucking boots before I finally settled on a pair for my 9/11 fireman stair challenge. I can say the pair I had certainly helped with the 110 flights of stairs I did. I will definitely go back for all my outdoor gear needs in the future.

We frequent this store for shoe shopping, outdoor apparel and gear and camping supplies. I love supporting smaller, locally owned shops and this store makes it very easy. They have really nice employees that are knowledgeable about all of the different products and brands that they sell. The employees are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I highly recommend this store.

I always enjoy going here. Right when you step through the door, expect a big warm welcome from the staff. If you are looking for technical gear items, this is the place for you. They have a broad range of items that can fit anyone's needs.

Clean and organized store with a good selection of things for your camping/climbing/hiking needs. The staff don’t follow you around but are quick to help if you need any assistance. I love their outlet section in the back too. I have definitely gotten some good deals here.

Went in to get a pair of hiking boots. Was convinced to get a pair of hiking shoes instead based on friendly feedback, but they didn't have my size. So they shipped the right size in from another store for the next day. I went in the next day and had a different employee who knew even more about hiking shoes and was able to answer all the questions I had! Excellent service, worth it for the higher price 😅

The place was clean and well organized . The selection of climbing gear was somewhat lacking,the selection was kind of small and what they did have was slim pickings and a bit expensive. But the employees were friendly and helpful as they could be. They seemed to have an extensive variety of everything else for outdoor dun and adventure. I just happened to mention being thirsty while checking out, they generously offered me a hot cup of Kurïg coffee(with all the fixings; flavored creamers and REAL sugar!!!) They had a public restroom as well.

The staff is always great every time my wife and I visit this store. I previously wrote a review about returning a basically new pair or shoes (2 week old Chacos) that had a large manufacturing defect. The shoes were sent back to Chacos for refurbishment as if they were and older pair with associated wear and tear and I was unhappy being left without shoes for a for weeks. Upon realization of this the store was able to replace my defective Chacos for a new pair. This is our favorite outdoor equipment store in Columbia and we are happy that our only gripe was remedied. We will definitely be returning.

This location’s customer service is excellent!Much better than some big box store. They recently helped me with a warranty return with patagonia. They went above and beyond in during the process making sure I got what I wanted.

For years, The Backpacker was the go to place for outdoor gear in Columbia. However, long before they closed, that stopped being true. The reason for this is service. And it's not just that The Backpacker got worse; it's that Half Moon is just so good at service. No matter when we go and no matter who is working, they are always exceptionally friendly and helpful. And, let's face it, when you are a non-discount retailer, service IS your calling card. Saying that, it's clear that some stores don't get it. Half Moon clearly does. Half Moon is our first stop for outdoor gear and we will buy there even if the same thing is available cheaper elsewhere. If you think that's crazy, give Half Moon a try and then decide.

Half-Moon Outfitters is a cool store. They definitely have most all of your outdoor needs. Great selection of outdoor clothing and camping gear. Be warned, you will pay Devine St. prices. In their defense, they are selling high end, quality outdoor gear.

I recently rented a Kayak for the weekend. Last year I rented one & did not have a great experience.... Regardless of the service last year I decided to try it again. A young man named Michael (Eleazor (maybe on the last name)) was awesome. Because of him not only will I be back to rent a Kayak but I will try to come & support your store with other purchases. Kudos to whomever hired him & replaced to two guys from last year. If I recommend your store you can believe I will tell them to ask for Mike!!! Thanks Half-Moon !!!

We were greeted as we walked in the door and taken to the hiking boots within the first minute and then helped with fitting my wife with hiking boots and socks by a friendly young man (unfortunately I do not remember his name). This was quite a change from another local store where we were not waited on for more than 20 minutes and left. As a result we spent over $200 and will return to Half Moon Outfitters in the future.
