I love Uptown Cheapskate. They have a huge selection of name brand clothing for both men and woman. They have it all they have purses, sunglasses, jeans, dresses, skirts, cute tops, t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, shoes, hair accessories, leggings. And it all looks brand new alot still with the original tag on it

The Bad Doctor

For some reason, my sister in law & wife ended up at the old, closed location, instead of this one which used to be the Dressbarn, across from Panera Bread, in the same shopping strip. If you're into High Heels, Perfect Purses & Classy Clothes & Haute Couture in general at Reasonable Rates, this store should be Priority Numero Uno ! Enjoy the Short Strip, which is the fashion runway called the World. Best Regards from The Bad Doctor.

Where else could I find Frye boots for $36.00 for me. I get compliments where ever I go on my black studded Frye boots. Always fun to go to Uptown Cheapskate Today I found UGG boots for my granddaughter, to give to her for Christmas. The size 7 Ugg boots were in mint condition. I got the boots for $20.00. I had a 15% discount for the month of December in honor of my birthday.

It was a stylish place, but for a plus sized Gil like me it felt daunting. There was so MANY clothes, but they were either too tiny to wear or too big to be mistaken for a dress. I only wish there was a section in the store that had plus sized clothing, then it would've been perfect.

*Seller review* I visited their new location today to see if they wanted to buy any items. I read the reviews for this location beforehand and saw the myriad of complaints regarding not acknowledging customers, so I came in prepared. The store manager was easy to talk to when I had questions, and there was one guy behind the counter that was very friendly and quick to greet anyone who approached the counter. I did not feel ignored, per se, but I will say that I did feel a bit of what the other reviewers had been saying about the vibe feeling off around the other staff. The others I interacted with were curt. In other words, they check you in, tag your bin, grab your bin after, and tell you how much the buy-out is. They simply seemed busy and juggling a lot, but nothing outlandish occurred. I didn't wait long, dropped the items off, and headed back about 75 minutes later. Heads up for sellers: they tend to stick to a "two-year rule" for buying most items, but the two they did buy from me were not within the two-year mark; instead they were from brand name companies. I'd recommend sellers for uptown only bring in brand name items and stuff that feels "in" at that moment in time for a higher likelihood of them purchasing your stuff. I believe they pay more than Plato's, so it's best to check in here before heading to Plato's. Overall I had a fine experience.

Best thrift/ consignment store ever (and I’ve been to a lot)! This was the first consignment store I went to years ago, and i can say it’s especially great for people who don’t usually thrift. Uptown has all the typical brands you’d go to the mall to find and everything is in such great condition. So many options!!! Not like other thrift stores where there’s maybe only 2 pairs of jeans in the xs/s, equal amounts of options for every size!

Two of my co-workers told me about this place and so I finally went and I was blown away, they totally under sold it. I love this store, it was very clean and organized with amazing prices. I only had 6 minutes to shop and found 3 items, one of which was on clearance for $2. The associate told me it was finally sale before I purchased it. So I tried it on to make sure I loved it, and I did! I highly recommend women and men to shop at this store, they excellent merchandise and great customer service.

This is one of my favorite stores ever!!!! The staff is always friendly, the managers are always around and helpful (which says a lot, bc how many times do you go into a place and need help - but no manager is in sight?!), the clothing and accessories are amazing and everything is so well organized. Not only do I shop here, but I also sell here. As a Seller, I am always treated respectfully. Not only do they discuss the reasons for items they declined, but they offer you 25% MORE for the items they accepted if you choose store credit!!! What is there not to love? I am a frequent flyer here and that is not about to change! 🥰

Uptown Cheapskate in Timonium md is always my go to store in the area when I want something funky. The sales people are absolutely some of the kindest and caring people I have met in the sales and customer service industry. Selections seam better and are even more organized than where they moved from there last location. I always always reccomend them. ..and thank you for always lending me a hand u guys. Being in my 40's looking for cool clothes seams much harder now..body is all in different places than it was..lol.. but with all of u helping me..guiding me..and just making me feel welcomed is a big deal. I visited Uptown Cheapskate for the first time today. It was everything!! This isn’t the typical secondhand store where it takes hours to find 1 or 2 good pieces. You can find unique pieces literally as soon as you walk in. They carry high quality clothes for a great price. So many great finds in the little bit of time I was there. uptown cheapskate timonium? i would give them 100 stars if i could. i have been visiting this location for a little over a year and am someone who has a particular style and a really hard time shopping at chain retail stores. i never leave uptown empty handed or disappointed. from the selection to the staff this place will NOT let you down. the selection is vast and organized by color and size which is so easy and time efficient (especially for people with ocd like me). that reminds me... the staff, extraordinary. they are so friendly, helpful, and real. i would even consider switching from the food industry to retail to work with them! overall wonderful place.

SO COMPLETELY OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE! They have the best selection of higher end clothes and the best, most affordable prices. Just bought what should be a $500 coach bag there for $80! In perfect condition! Not only that- but the customer service is great there too. Always a friendly face at the counter or in the fitting rooms willing to help! I probably go every weekend and the selection is always changing. Also follow them on Instagram or Facebook because their social media game is ON POINT! Cute store, but not a place for high-end or luxury consignment. Sadly, the staff is not properly trained to authenticate luxury items. I was selling an authentic Louis Vuitton Trousse 23 and the employee returned it to me because she “couldn’t authenticate it right away”. It was a vintage piece from 1988 with proper tag, date code, etc. Not sure how you stay employed when you simply “can’t” do your job?

Love! Love! Love this storeeee! They have the cutest clothing from shorts to skirts to dresses to jumpsuits, you name it! If I need an outfit for an occasion, I shop at Uptown before any other store! I can generally find what I need. Prices are great too! So glad they opened a UC in Baltimore County! Convenient to me! Check them out if you haven’t! Also their associates are so nice! They’ll set up a dressing room for you while you shop if needed!

I just recently cleaned out my closets and had about 6 or 7 bags of clothes to sell. I was hoping my experience at this store would be positive and it really was! I was hesitant because I didn't know what to expect, but everyone who works at this store was very kind and helpful :) this one employee Paige helped me so much! she was patient and so kind to go through all of my bags, I left with about 4 full bags still but was paid more than what I was expecting. It was my first time at this store and my experience was great, especially with the help of Paige! ill definitely be back to sell&shop! :)

I first called to see what size pants they went up to. To my surprise it was what I needed! I went in and was able to find 2 jeans and even some tops. My only suggestion would be that I am not sure what a “33” is and there was no appropriate signage for the larger pant size.

Uptown is definitely one of my favorite stores to shop! I was a frequent shopper until I moved away. The ladies that work for this store are very friendly and helpful, especially Anna S and Paige P. They often help me find what I need or just started up conversation. There was also either a store manager or district manager I saw very often in store (she had very pretty beach hair that was blondish if I remember correctly) who was very nice and welcomed my corgi pup into the store. Such great staff that work here! I recommend going here!

First visit; first impression: This is a phenomenal business. The clothing and accesory options are good enough for the tastes of a very picky 16 year old teenager AND his mom, who can both shop together. Plus: They go beyond most retail businesses by giving back to charity and they reward customers for not using plastic bags after each transaction (without punishing those who do!). Reduce, reuse, recycle in many levels. All this and great customer service from people who appear to believe in what they do. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back.

I’ve been looking for jeans for months and couldn’t find any that I liked or could afford. I stopped in to see if there was something I liked and found exactly what I was looking for! They fit great and are a well-known brand. And they were only $8. This is one of the best resale clothing stores I’ve been to. Let's face it, despite Macklemore's catchy tune, going to a thrift store is crap shoot. There is a a TON Of stuff to weed through hoping to find one or two items. It can be a time suck. But not at this place, Everything is recent style, arranged by size and color and type of clothing and there are many, many high end brands. The staff was friendly and the store layout was just awesome. Definitely going back, loved it. Plus there was this Michael Kors purse that I saw....

Awesome place to thrift, they have a good variety of new and vintage pieces. my only issue is i personally prefer not to pay more than 15 bucks for an item when im thrifting so $38.99 for a shirt bcuz it came from anthropology is kind of strange to pay for used when its that price new, so I'd say they are a more high end thrift shop but ill def return!

A rockin' experience deserves a rockin' review - and that's what I had here. The Timonium Uptown Cheapskate has auhmazing product. I was looking for boots - and had to choose from a pair of Steve Maddens, two Uggs in my size that had just come in, and a knee-high pair of Frye boots that were $150 (regularly $450). I've shopped more resale stores than most people, and I loved this location. The girls pick great product, plus there's a mix of layering basics and other cute dresses that were more expensive (in the 40's) but had a boutique feel. I haven't sold here, but I would think they would be very picky with what they'll accept. Check it out :). I highly recommend this place.
