Hubby's been waxing nostalgic about this spot for years, and we finally got to check it out with the kids. Nothing like sharing your youth and money with an Atlanta icon. Wall-to-wall shoes, gear, and urban wear--and not trashy wear. First, when you walk in, you're greeted by the salesmen right away. There were several guys with all kinds of sneaker-head knowledge willing to walk you through and answer all your questions and grab the shoe you like. Michael was our guy today, and we'll look for him the next time we're in town. The prices are precious good! The sizes are hit-and-miss, but they had some great choices still available.

I started at GSU in 2005. Running on the track/XC team got athletes $250 a semester for new trainers and spikes. So, we just ran in busted old trainers and last years spikes and took our allowance to the 2 for $50 bottom shelf at Walters. You really could get Fila's and Airforce ones for next to nothing at Walters back then. Walt and Jeff always took care of us. Once in 2007 when the first live action transformers movie came out Nike released the first run of "transforming" shoes to select specialty stores. I was a transformers nut and needed the shoes but could only afford one. After I spent an hour fighting the impossible decision between an Optimus Prime Air Trainer III and the Starscream air trainer Hurrache, Jeff said, "Look, if you buy a pair and promise this is for collecting and never to sell, I'll give you the other." That was 15 years ago. I attached a pic from 15 seconds ago. 15 years from now I'll still have these shoes and Walter's will still be the best place to get sneakers.

First of all rest in peace to Mr. Walter Strauss. This store has a legendary place in the sneaker game. I bought my first pair of Jordans at this store many years ago. They often get special and limited releases not available at other stores. They also have lots of clothing that you won't find elsewhere. The store is a bit small for the the amount of visitors it receives but it is a lot better than it used to be before the remodel it received a few years ago.

Like any other traditional place of business that has been established in Atlanta Georgia Walter's clothing store is one of the city's most historical and iconic place to find the most Innovative shoes close hats we're pretty much any fashion. With everything you can everyone from Sue styles clothing styles to Jersey's to White beaters black beaters jackets any aparium I could think of I guarantee Walter's as it and if they don't have it they can pretty much order it. I pretty much go for the Jays because sometimes most shoes stores outlet malls they sell out of certain brands particularly fast The Walter's always seems to have that's you right then for you to pick up right now. So, have some of this Southern tradition that's been here forever and don't seem to be changing anytime soon, unless you trying to change it to some fresh and so clean clean.

It's been years since I've been inside, but trust and believe. Walter's is THE PREMIERE PLACE when it comes to urban fashion. There are indeed other great outlets but Walter's has been an Atlanta stable for generations now.....my dad is 64 and shopped there as a teenager and 50 plus years later, people ranging from kids to senior citizens still go here.
