I was a walk in, just a spur of the moment and not only did they let me try on dresses and help me as if I had an appointment they let me and my mom try putting a colored dress under a wedding dress to see what it would look like with color added. Sophia was the bomb she would help grab other sizes of dresses even if I wasn't a huge fan of them because I thought maybe if they fit better I'd like them better, she even got a big long veil for me to try with a dress because I had never seen one in person. Sophia joked with us through my appointment when I would make funny remarks and she let me be the goofy bride I've wanted to be and not be so serious so I could really enjoy the dress shopping experience and within the hour I was grinning in my dress determined to wear it home I loved it so much.

Honestly, this was the best David’s bridal experience I’ve ever had. I brought in my younger sister and Sarah assisted in finding the perfect dress for her homecoming. Sarah made Hailey feel comfortable. She is very personable. All employees were very friendly. I would give infinite stars if I could 👏 great crew. Thanks for everything!

Kelly was absolutely wonderful!! She really helped me find a few dresses I LOVE!!! She was very clear with direction and made the dressing process so easy! Once I found a dress I loved, she brought out the full accessories such as veils and vines! On top of it all, she included matching or similar dresses for my flower girls! We also looked at bridesmaids dresses and she gave me so many ideas I hadn’t even thought about. Overall very good day! I look forward to going back to pick my final decision!!!

Really wanted to give 5 stars here. Everything was perfect. I didn’t buy my dress at this location but was helped greatly with alterations with Lola, Elena was so sweet and helped me get veil ideas. Was almost perfect until picking up and being greeted by a woman with an absolutely poor attitude today while with my soon to be grandmother in law. Her name started with a K, I believe. When we walked in she wasn’t enthusiastic by any means. There was a couple of off moments with her but this one stood out. While she lead us back to alterations my 82 year old GIL was speaking to me about my fiancé having to come in and get his suit as well (which was getting tailored at this location and ready to pick up after my dress, obviously he wasn’t going to come back while I tried on my dress) but the woman turned back and rudely chimed in “we don’t sell suits here!”. I had to explain to her that he already had a suit but had it tailored… even though he also had an appointment and I gave her his name at the desk for his fitting, I didn’t think I’d have to explain that, which isn’t the big deal here. People are coming for one of the BIGGEST moments in their life, spending lots of money for this one special day, myself coming for my wedding with my middle school sweetheart. It really dampened my mood. I’m a bride, getting married in 3 weeks and I deserve to have every moment feel special. She shouldn’t be working in this industry with an attitude as such.

Hannah was exceptional!! She was attentive but not pushy. She walked me through each step of the process and quickly adapted to find both the style, veil and price I was looking for. Not only that, she went as far as to make sure my grandma and sister-in-law had the opportunity to try on bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses as well. Highly recommend both this location and Hannah and Sara. This experience left me as one EXTREMELY pleased bride-to-be 👰‍♀️

I made an appointment with David's bridal to just try on some different styles and get a general idea of what I wanted. Elena helped me and she did AMAZING! She was so sweet and encouraging. She made sure my whole appointment went perfectly and even helped me Invision my dream dress out of the most unexpected option! She did an absolutely wonderful job and made this day very special for me! I didn't catch the managers name but she did a great job as well when it came down the little tweaks to added up to perfection!!! I walked in expecting to look around a try a couple things on. We had the BEST experience dress shopping for the bride to be! We had a pretty stressful experience at another dress shop so coming to David’s Bridal of Asheville was a sigh of relief. Kim and Sara were absolutely AMAZING. It was definitely a personalized experience. Kim has the “attention to detail” that is definitely needed to find the perfect dress for a bride. All of the other staff in the store were amazing as well. Thank you for such a wonderful experience helping my best friend find the dress she had been looking for!

From the minute I walked in the door, the welcome was very nice! I am an older bride and given that, I was somewhat uneasy trying to find 'the one'; however, the staff, especially the ladies that assisted me were gracious, patient and extremely helpful! At first when I got there I was anxious and kinda overwhelmed by all the dresses. The lady who was assisting us helped me get more relaxed and comfortable. As I was there other workers would walk by and give me advice on things and helped me understand the pricing and everything. Turned out, the first dress I tried on was the one!! After I got to ring the bell after choosing my dress my friends and the workers cheered and celebrated. I am so glad I found the dress and experienced this day like I did. I had the sweetest, simplest, loving time wedding dress shopping! I’m from miami and got scared of miami customer service (cause It sucks) and wow everyone was so sweet and loving in Asheville!! It was exciting, wasn’t overwhelming from the get go!! ANDREA from the Asheville store is the one to ask for, she’s made for this. Best bridal consultant ever. I went here to have my alterations done to my wedding dress that I bought at an outside boutique. I was pretty nervous going in as basically everything in the bridal industry freaks me out - that, and my wedding date was exactly 4 weeks out. Everyone there was so helpful and polite. Especially the lady that did my pinning, Cait. She was very professional, transparent about pricing and limitations, and really helped put me at ease. It costed less than I anticipated, and they were able to have my dress ready a week before the wedding - all without a rush fee. There are mixed reviews about DB alterations put there, but this location is very reliable and made the process easy. I definitely recommend to anyone in a pinch for time on their dress.

I had the BEST experience at the Asheville David’s Bridal last week. I walked in without an appointment first thing Friday morning and they fit me in even though they were short staffed. I received incredible service from Avery, even I told them I was only looking to try on some dresses and get an idea of what styles I liked and that I wasn’t planning on buying anything that day. Avery took complete care of me and helped me figure out what styles I liked and didn’t like. She ended up helping me find the PERFECT dress that day and was able to buy it on sale that very day! I couldn’t believe how easy and perfect it was. She also helped me find the perfect slip to go underneath and even picked out a gorgeous veil and hair accessory that I hadn’t even thought about but ended up loving them both. She was super helpful, but not pushy in any way. I felt like I had complete control of the visit while being fully supported by the staff. I cannot recommend this David’s Bridal enough, I cannot believe how amazing my entire experience was. I’m SO incredibly pleased :)

I have been so impressed since the day I have started wedding planning with Davids Bridal, they are all so amazing and kind. Wonderful experience! Very kind workers, Megan was very sweet and helpful at our appointment! Love my dress! My only complaint or regret was appointments are only an hour (We ended up going a little over) so I didnt really have time to look when I arrived, I think I had maybe 5 minutes if that to quickly browse and turn some dresses out before she came back and took me to a dressing room. I don't even think I tried on any of the ones we turned out. I later found I could have come in without an appointment, which would have helped big time but hey, a heads up for other brides! If you want time to look around at the different dresses and styles get there at least half an hour early to just look around at the dresses. I would have loved to see what else was on clearance looked like they had some nice ones but obviously they will bring you more expensive ones first as long as it's under the budget you say.... And in only an hour the appointment is very rushed.... Definitely went by quickly, but I enjoyed every moment and glad I found a beautiful dress for my big day! Will be back to look at MOH and mother dresses and will definitely show up earlier to have time to look.

As a plus size girl I never know what to expect when walking into a clothing store. I walked in and was immediately greeted and booked into an appointment. My bridal consultant (Erin Walker) was very friendly and worked well under pressure. My wedding is in 3 weeks and I needed a dress. I wasn’t looking for anything super expensive or super bridal but I also really didn’t have specific look either but I had a tight budget to stay under. Erin pulled majority of great dresses but the last dress that I wasn’t even sure about turned out to be the one! It was my first wedding dress appointment and I was a bit picky with what I wanted so I was afraid that would make things complicated and that I would never find a dress, but that definitely dead not the case! I was looking for a bridesmaid dress for my cousins wedding which is in a month and a half and nothing I liked would be in on time or had the color. She found one in the material I liked and the color and made sure it be in on time. After that I was just going to browse bridal dresses. She followed along and my family and herself convinced me to try in a few! What do you know the second dress was it. I’m from Philadelphia and found my dress in North Carolina. It was a bit emotional ive just lost my dad 3 months ago and she was the absolute best about it all. Highly recommended! All the ladies were fantastic and made me feel beautiful!

As someone who doesn’t care much for clothes shopping, I was anxious about my bridal appointment, especially in light of how different things would be because of the pandemic. Avery was my consultant and she was nothing short of phenomenal. She was super friendly and put me at ease right away and made sure the experience was a fun and engaging one while honoring the new procedures put in place to keep everyone safe. She helped me pick dresses to try based on my personality and preferences, and she knew exactly how to bring together my vision. She made sure to never pull a dress that could not be shipped and altered prior to my wedding date, and even though she had booked her own appointment so as to not overwhelm a consultant, Avery went out of her way to help my maid of honor find a dress that would arrive in time for the wedding after she had picked one with her assigned consultant and found when she went to pay for it that it could not be shipped in time. Overall the appointment was a great and memorable experience that turned out to be fun, low stress, and left me saying yes to my dream dress! The day far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this store, especially Avery, because of their personable manners and their dedication to making sure they help a bride bring her dreams to life and celebrate with her every step of the way.

The initial welcome was a bit awkward and my party and I felt a bit disjointed from the process. They said our attendant would be with us but just left us to wander around the dresses for a bit. Once we got going though it went really well and everyone was super supportive! I ended up not going with the dress, but they did all they could to make it a great experience and be super helpful. They let me walk out to think it over and even called to check in on me, to find ways to drop the price, I was just in love with a dress from a different shop and it had been a long day of shopping. Overall, they were great. Their dressing rooms are a little small - I ended up just putting my street clothes outside with my party, but it was still a great overall experience.

I was so nervous before going dress shopping.... I was in town for the weekend with close family and my best friend to tour my venue and decided to make an appointment at David's because they're well-known and had convenient online booking options. Katie was my stylist and she was AMAZING. I told her my ideas, what I thought I wanted, etc., and she had me pick things off the rack. My only complaint about the entire experience would be the amount of dresses they had to try on, and the sizes available to try them on in. I pulled a few off the rack and Katie provided the undergarments to try on with dresses. She was kind, patient, and so friendly! I picked out six dresses to try on and the FOURTH dress was a win! She matched it with a veil and headpiece and immediately I knew it was the one. She explained alterations, sizing differences, etc., and then I 'rang the bell' to say yes to the dress. I was so happy and Katie was a pleasure to work with!! I'm so happy I found my dream dress at David's on my very first visit. I would and will recommend to any/all future brides. :)

She asked what style of wedding I was planning, and the colors I was using, etc. She also asked to see the style of dresses I had envisioned myself in, however, I told her that I wanted to be pushed out of my comfort zone! I had an AMAZING experience at the David’s Bridal in Asheville. My wedding was postponed due to covid-19, but we had decided to do a small elopement on our original date. I ordered a jumpsuit from Etsy online, but when it arrived several months later it did not fit and needed more alterations work than we had time for so close to our date. I frantically scheduled an appointment at David’s Bridal - they got me in the very next day. They helped me pick a dress that I love and is perfect for the nature of our event. At that point, we were about 3 weeks away from my elopement date. They put a rush on the alterations and Lola (the head of alterations) was phenomenal. The dress fits like a glove! They were even able to get my dress done earlier than originally planned. We had a bit of an emergency with our new puppy and our vet appointment made it impossible to pick up my dress on the scheduled day. I called Lola on a Saturday morning to ask if I could pick up early and they had my dress done by 4:00 pm that same day. I owe it all to the alterations ladies there! Highly recommend, and as the cherry on top Lola was so genuinely happy for me. Great service and great, sweet ladies who will make you feel special for your big day. <3

What was absolutely remarkable was that not only did she make me feel human and not like some walking wallet, she had an innate sense of what I would look great in! We narrowed it down to 3 dresses. She was patient, kind, and honest about feedback on what looked good and what was off the mark. She was knowledgeable about sleeve and shoe options. And I was never pressured at any time to buy anything. When I tried on the final dress, I started crying and knew it was the one. Erin was ready with tissues and a hug! Also, I happened to be during a sale, so I walked out with my dream dress, the perfect shoes (also handpicked by her) and accessories all within my budget. The only bad thing I'd say is that I'm a size 4 and the dress was only available in a 2 or 6 and we decided a 2 would fit best, but I ended up with a 6 by mistake, however, it was too late (too close to my wedding date) to really say anything, and that required I pay a lot more in alterations. :( Other than that the dress and work done on it was fantastic. Staff always friendly and prices very reasonable.

Not only did I find the dress of my dreams, but every employee that I worked with went out if their way to be helpful. The seamstress working on my dress had 15+ years of experience and was load of fun (which helps when you're standing still in heels for over an hour!). My stylist Avery, was amazing, I would try to put into words my style and personality, which is hard to do lol, but each time she understood immediately what I was getting at. Manager Kim l, had come around a couple of times and offered other dresses that I may like , she was super friendly, and it was nice to have her around for advise. After only 30 min, Avery could get my feel from the dress after my body language, the feedback she gave me on each one I felt was genuine and appreciated. David's Bridal is reminiscent of a department store in its construction and atmosphere. It has a wide variety of dresses and styles, but some of the sample dresses were in smaller sizes that I was unable to try on. The employee named Erin who was assisting me was very friendly and asked insightful questions. The walls of the dressing room were very dirty from people touching the walls, which was a big turn-off, and the chairs provided for guests were blown out with cracked cushions that desperately needed replacements. I still give it four stars for the helpfulness of the staff and the huge selection of dresses they offer at affordable prices!

One of my sons got married 2 years ago, and my other son this past October. I was fortunate enough to be able to be there for the bridal dress trying on and choosing for both girls. The Alterations department has got it going on! I came in with what I thought was my dream dress, started alterations, and about an hour and a half into it, realized my dress couldn't be altered the way I expected. Being in extreme panic and experiencing that lovely time of the month, as females do, I lost it and started crying like a baby. I waited 30 yrs to finally get married and my dress was going to be a hot mess?! No way! Luckily the girl I was working with (unfortunately I can't remember her name) and Lola came to the rescue. They helped me see my dress in different alteration styles, I showed them pictures of the dress I ordered and the dress I got, and they agreed that they didn't quite look the same. There was a lack of communication as to the train alterations of my dress. I wasn't told you can fix the length of the dress, except for the back. Which in my case was the disaster area. No one knew I hadn't been told that so truly, no one was at fault. After searching the store and talking to the manager, we got the right size and length dress! Hallelujah! I just went back again to get my (now perfect) dress altered and am so excited to see the final product since all the pin-ups look great! I am so thankful for a patient and helpful staff at David's and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for that perfect dress! THANK YOU David's Bridal Alteration Team!

I had such a wonderful experience at David's Bridal! My stylist was Makaela and she made my first (and only) bridal appointment so enjoyable! She really took the time to make sure she knew what my preferences were when it came to my ideas, my budget, and also took into consideration my favorites that I had saved on the website. I set up an appointment and was met with April. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the dresses they had to offer. It was my first bridal appointment and I had a small idea what dresses I may like (magazine clippings). When I explained to April what venue I may be looking for and how relaxed I wanted to be on my wedding day she pointed me in a direction of dresses and let me really pick ones that I was interested in. Avery at Davids Bridal not only got me into what i had no was my dream dress but also all of my accessories including my veil for 600 dollars. She was very patient and made ever dress fit better than expected. I walked in not expecting to find anything due to being so unnaturally small but she got me everything I wamted and needed.

Lola / alternations was fantastic! (Asheville, NC location) This is after the Pineville, NC location totally botched my daughters wedding dress bustle. No one could figure out how it was supposed to work and even Lola commented that it was not done symmetrically so that the the dress would fall properly. The Pineville location did not consult my daughter or give her options on how the dress could be bustled and did not provide instruction how to bustle it after completed. The Asheville, NC store went above and beyond to help make this much COVID delayed wedding come together for the bride/our daughter.

**Update from initial review** which stated: “I along with 3 family members ordered bridesmaids dresses here for my sisters wedding on October 10th. I was one of the first to order mine yet everyone else has already received theirs and I’m still waiting. The time frame to receive dresses is horrible. We all ordered our dresses around the end of June beginning of July and the other bridesmaids as mentioned they all received their dresses a week- a week and a half after they ordered there’s, mine isn’t set to come in until September 30th (Ten days before the wedding). I voiced my concerns to many of the workers at David’s bridal and they have all claimed to put a rush order in to where I have enough time to get alterations if needed. However roughly 2-3 weeks ago I received a call saying my dress is now set to come in by the first of September. Well last week I called because the end of August is coming near and I asked if my dress has shipped yet and the woman I spoke to I wish I would have gotten her name she said “your dress is set to come in September 30th” I mentioned to her about the phone call saying it will come in by the first and she then said “if you know when it will come in then why did you call” before I said anything rude I just hung up the phone. Now the prices. With my dress having such a risky arrival date (10 days before the wedding) my sister (the bride) told me I needed to get a refund and just go somewhere else. So I called and I asked for a refund that was roughly 4-6 weeks ago and they told me that because the dress was purchased over 7 days ago they can’t do that. However I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY DRESS!!!! Also they have it posted all over their website they have bridesmaids dresses starting at “19.98$” however that is a lie. If you want a pretty dress that’s made from good quality you should be prepared to pay at least 125+ for it. Once I receive my dress and hopefully it will be here in enough time for me to get the alterations done I may give a better review but as of right now I’m not happy with David’s bridal.” My dress came in roughly two days after I posted this and it is as ordered but a little big. Alterations will be needed however I will be getting them done elsewhere due to David’s bridal stating I’d have to pay a rush fee to get the dress done within the 5 weeks it’s needed.

Even for plus sizes there was a wide variety of sizes and designs! Unsure of what I wanted exactly, I was treated like royalty and fit with the best of consultants! I would rate this place a thousand times over, if I could. I went to pick up my altered wedding dress (which I was very nervous about because of all the alterations I had gotten) knowing it was going to look like it had been altered. I pulled into their Asheville, NC location a wreck but I left with my dress and very pleased. Susan, in Alterations, did an absolutely perfect job! It was a very last minute visit, but the website worked in getting us an appointment for bridesmaid dresses this evening, and everybody there worked super-hard to find us dresses we liked in the correct color. The wedding is in 12 days. David's Bridal did an amazing job in locating the dresses we needed from another store. Most dresses DO take several weeks to come in, though, usually, they said, so do keep that in mind. Don't be a procrastinator like me! ;D Thank you to everyone at David's Bridal in Asheville, NC!

I don't know why in the world they have bad reviews! My experience was wonderful! I walked in (without an appointment) and they immediately took me in! The lady that helped me(Moriah) was the sweetest ever. She helped me put on every dress and made me feel really good about myself in them. At first she was picking out dresses for me and I didn't really "love" one yet, so we asked if I could pick out some and she helped me try them on and I found the perfect dress! She put a veil on me and everything. This was my 3rd trip dress shopping and I had almost given up on finding the perfect dress. So glad that I came and could find it!

I was really concerned with the the reviews I was seeing for this store. I actually had an appointment for 2pm but had extra time between shopping appointments, so I popped in around noon to see if they could get me in earlier... I'm glad I did. The store was very full of brides, but apparently my actual appointment time would be even more crowded. My party and I waited 10 or 15 minutes and we were introduced to a very knowledgeable and helpful employee. I probably tried on 10 dresses before I found THE dress. It was in my budget and made me feel like a real bride. I never felt rushed or pushed into buying a dress that I wasn't in love with. I honestly thought I wouldn't find anything to make me feel special in this "big box" store; I'm glad I gave it a chance :)

I have been so pleased with the service I have received every time I have been to David's Bridal. I am getting married in less than 3 months and I noticed a stain on my dress and Lori ordered me a new dress no question asked. They also helped me with exchanging my accessories for my dress from the belt to the bracelet. Contrary to the reviews I am reading, I had a pretty good experience. The sweet lady I worked with gave me her full attention and was just as excited as I was. I bought the first dress she chose after trying on a few more after. She made my party feel welcomed and did a great job on choosing a dress within my budget. Not sure of her name but she has a small frame, big beautiful blue eyes and red/brown hair. You will know her if you see her! Request her! :)

I came here with my fiancé to look at wedding dresses. When I walked in the store, I headed for the wedding dress section and was stopped by an employee who asked what I was looking for. I told her and was given a long rehearsed speech about how I should schedule an appointment with a stylist and was told multiple times that's it's "really fun." I didn't want or need the help of a stylist, so I asked if it was okay for me to look by myself and they said it was fine. After looking through all the dresses, I found one I liked and wanted to try on. It was my size so I asked an employee if I could get a dressing room. I was scolded for taking a dress off the rack and told I wasn't allowed to try the dress on unless I gave them all my information and worked with a stylist, so I did. The stylist gave me a slip to borrow and then pulled several other dresses she thought I might like. Most of them were nice, but not quite me. The whole experience was really uncomfortable for me as I didn't want the help and didn't like having a complete stranger see me topless while helping me put dresses on. My fiancé easily could have helped me instead. Of all the dresses I tried on, there was only one I liked as much as the dress I picked out myself. It was a $99 clearance dress in a size too small. They said it could be altered but the cost would be as much as the dress itself which would put it at the very top of my budget. I ended up deciding on the original dress I picked out myself which fit me perfectly. I was there for almost 2 hours when I could have been in and out in 20 minutes if left to shop alone. They told me they would order a new dress for me and I would be able to pick it in the store in about one month. I paid for it, was told all sales are final, and left the store. After leaving I looked at my receipt and saw they'd charged me $10.95 for a garment bag which I didn't ask for, didn't want, and wasn't even told about.... When I was told the total I assumed the difference was all tax, but there was no screen or anything for me to see what I was paying for. I ran my credit card and signed on the machine before I could see that I was charged for something I didn't agree to buy. And all sales are final apparently. Later that day, I went on their website to find the dress I bought and read the reviews. I saw multiple reviews saying they ordered online, got free shipping, and received their dress within four days. So, if I ordered online I could have had the dress sent to my house in less than a week, but since I purchased it while I was at the store, I have to wait a month and drive back to the store to get it?? Then I got an email about a flash sale that is online only and could have saved me $50. Moral of the story: ORDER ONLINE. You get overcharged in store and have to wait longer for the item you buy. I do really like the dress I bought, but I hated the whole experience I was forced into and being tricked into buying a garment bag I don't need and I won't have my dress until a week before the wedding. If I had known better, I would have shopped for my dress elsewhere. Edit: I changed my rating from two to three stars because after leaving my review, a manager from the store called me to apologize for my experience and offered to refund what I was charged for the garment bag.
