Reviews of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral
I attend the Antiochian Orthodox mission that meets twice monthly in the St. Nicholas annex. We meet on the first and third Sundays at 1:30 p.m.
A very holy, spiritual church. A wonderful representation of the true church.
Very nice quite church
Went to Seattle to pray and found this incredible community. Very family oriented, the priest is great and the choir is very prayerful. I was here for the feast of transfiguration, they were hosting a bishop and the wonderworking kursk root icon. Everyone did a good job at controlling the flow of people and provided a mellow environment despite the crowds. I was impressed with the warmth and organization of their parish.
Like a bastion on Capitol Hill. Beautiful services, wonderful priests, great choir, and lovely congregation. Keep in mind this is a Russian Orthodox Church, don’t expect hugs and kisses on you first visit. But rest assured, the ancient faith is alive here and the people are genuine.
Don’t miss the chapel of St. John Maximovitch upstairs, where this venerable saint reposed. They serve English language liturgies in the chapel every other week at 0800. Otherwise, vigil is at 1800 every Saturday and liturgy at 0930 every Sunday in the cathedral.
Of note, this church is on the old calendar meaning 13 days behind on most holidays (e.g. Christmas is on January 7th). Spoiler alert: there is no Santa Claus or Easter bunny. God bless and keep this church!
A beautiful Church building with a wonderful and loving priest, Reverand Father Alex! The congregation is friendly and loving!
Definately worth visiting!!
Beautiful but long funeral service
The priest and others that serve are simple, humble people, dedicated into serving the Lord.
I think they call it the church and it's a recording studio
Wonderful chapel of St John of Shanghai.

Nice place
Wonderful!
I did not expect to see such a beautiful temple in Seattle. Fortunately, you can come in, pray and venerate the icons here. Thanks God!
The Grace of God illuminates this Temple!
Yes, there are many churches, both large and beautiful, but not all of them are so warm!
Beautiful place!
Nice place with Russian spirit
Everything is as it should be.
