Reviews of Queen Anne Lutheran Church
Mark Dibble
We have attended Queen Anne Lutheran church for many years. Pastor Dan has an extraordinary knowledge of the Bible and of Lutheran tradition. Cantor Kyle is one of the best organists you will ever see working the Steinway piano and the 21 stop Wech pipe organ built in Germany and assembled at Queen Anne in 2010. I have always felt that the congregation has been welcoming and friendly.

Wonderful people here. Was walking to the grocery store to shop and realized I forgot my mask a block away. Stopped in and even though the door was locked, someone came up as I was walking away and asked how they could help. I asked for a mask and they found one for me and gave it to me. Redeeming humanity.

Vibrant multi-generational community where everyone who comes through the door is treated like family and is taken in without judgment. Genuine hospitality, not the "recruitment drive" kind of greeting that some churches have. They take theology seriously and do not quiet people who question the Church's teachings. A lot of good work gets done and they support local and international charities ... and not just the ones that are connected to churches. Looks like they have a lot of fun together, too. Jazz on the Grass with free BBQ for the neighborhood in August, bluegrass jams on weekends, Faith and Film discussions monthly, hikes together periodically ... The Sunday School has just hired a coordinator to assist them and the Adult Forum has an entire year of timely and provocative topics on their calendar. The church has a library with materials that are kept current and anyone is allowed to check -out.

I have been a member for 8 years. I remember the first time my wife and walked into the church we were greeted by many of the members there. They made the church feel like a home.
i enjoyed the previous pastor (Pastor Wayne) but also enjoy the new pastor (Pastor Dan). He has a different style to Sermons and is dedicated to adult and children's ministry learning.

Wonderful people and traditional worship style. Great if you're a thoughtful, questioning and seeking Protestant. Looks like one reviewer is RC--this might not be his match if so.

I mean its a church with all the churchy things that a church has. Great social services have been available.
